[align=center]There has been a bit of commotion in the Video Games Section all the fans are exited about Mortal Kombat 9, this thread is not about the old Mortal Kombat movies, no, this is about the next Mortal Kombat movie, to be honest i don't know exactly when it is coming out, unfortunately it's somewhere between now and 2013, I have noticed that movies based off a video game are usually bad, but unlike the old movies which i have to admit weren't that good, this looks awesome.

I'm a huge Mortal Kombat fan.

 

When I first saw this, I thought it looked cool, but then I noticed they completely changed Reptile's and Baraka's...everything. And I hear no mention of the realms (Outworld, Earthrealm, etc.). Looks cool, but they changed a lot of things.

 

Plus, I heard this wasn't actually the real trailer for a new movie. Just something they made to see if it could become a movie.

[1] They have changed the story, this is more realistic than the Mortal Kombat we know, no realms and all that supernatural stuff, it's more like real life, they are trying something new and i think it will work.

 

[2]Trailers are short and to the point this I'm guessing was a test, if people like it I think they'll make the film, well i like it.

THATS WHATS WRONG WITH VG MOVIES!! IF ITS BASED ON A VIDEO GAME!! IT SHOULD RESEMBLE THAT VIDEO GAME

If mortal kombat has realms

then the movies should have realms

 

if mortal kombat has supernatural stuff

the move should have super natural stuff

 

if mortal kombat has 10 ton flying chocolate icecream trucks the transform into super fighting robots

THEN THE MOVIE SHOULD HAVE 10 TON FLYING CHOCOLATE ICECREAM TRUCKS THAT TRANSFORM INTO SUPER FIGHTING ROBOTS!!

The first Sub-Zero died (the one that was killed) would be the Brother, who becomes Noob Saibot. While the Second (younger and alive), is the Sub-Zero we all know.

It won't be as bad as Dragonball Z Evolution. I think that they wanted to make Barraka and Reptile seem more scarier. I see one mess up here, Scorpion working for Jacks and Sonya? It should have been Sub-Zero or Liu Kang. Scorpion is more of an evil person than good, Midway says hes Neutral but hes evil. But they did pick a good Scorpion, it'd be even better if they altered his voice.

Wrong. Scorpion is neither. In fact he wasnt even evil in the first game. He does what benefits him, regardless of who's good or evil. And he managed to kill the man who killed him. He's fought on the side of good before (trilogy and MK4 iirc), mostly neutral and evil in none (cept 1 but thats subjective)... I think.

It'd take to long to get so many fighters, MK:Deception would have been better..

 

Taven's storyline as well as Shujinko's was terrible. The only reason I like them at all is because it gave a formal story to the rest of the cast. However, the characters (S and T) themselves are kinda boring in my eyes...
