A second cats and dogs WTF

Why would they make a sequel to a long forgotten movie from back in 2001.

I completely forgot about the first Cats and dogs until I was looking through movies coming soon to empire theatres. Then I saw that they were making a second cats and dogs. What came into their minds! It usually takes about 2 years till they release a sequel not 9 years?!?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the whole movie will be bad.

I'm just saying that it's kinda ridiculous that they decided to do a sequel while the original movie is about 9 years old.

But anyways heres the link to the movie trailer

I've seen bigger spans. The Hobbit movie is a lot older than the trilogy.

Star Wars is also a good example as well as Indiana jones

for the record: i couldn't bare to watch indiana jones 4 till the end.

As for the movie, that often isdone to build hype, it's like when they started advertising the simpsons movie about 1 year before it actually came out, and it's like the karate kid, how they're doing a remake and stuff, but then again that was actually a decent movie, i hate all these talking animal movies

The last Tron was 28 years ago' date=' which I believe is the biggest span ever.

Actually, the longest span is 64 years between Bambi and Bambi II.

I saw trailers of this movie. Can't really remember the first movie, though I know me and my sister has watched it.

Idiots... Lucas Films made Star Wars I,II, and III because they already made IV, V, VI so it was necessary to make Star Wars I,II, and III. Indiana Jones on the other hand did not have to make a fourth one because there was no Prequel in any of the other movies. Or maybe they might make Indiana Jones 5 possibly because the Fourth one included the characters from the 1st movie, well one but a main character (Marion Ravenwood). The 6th one would probably be a grown up Short Round and the whereabouts of Willie.. No 7th one cause Elsa and Henry Jones already died so no point in making a 7th one...

There have been a lot of Remakes and Long-Term Sequel..

Clash of The Titans, Nightmare on Elm Street, Terminator Salvation, Cats and Dogs 2, Indiana Jones 4 The Crystal Skull, etc.

So yeah.
