Hurricane Season RP (Started/Not Accepting)

[Mighty Platypus]

Morgan had stopped forcing Tommy as they left the house, with Willis in one hand and Tommy's hand in the other. Tommy had Rudolph's leash firmly grasped in his hand, as if he was making sure the overly happy Samoyed wouldn't zoom off at the sight of a squirrel. They were hand-in-hand as they reached the house of Samuel. Willis almost instantly began barking at the door.

[Navras]

-A little bit before Tommy and Morgan showed up at his house-

Samuel, havig waited for close to half an hour and finished off his beverage long before that, was now bored and slightly buzzed. When he saw some one he recognized on the street.

"Hey Sand-Mawn!"

"What's that?" the man called from the street, looking up at Samuel and smiling. "Who call my name?"

"I did you drunk Jamacian bastard!"

"What you want Sammy, I got things to do today."

"Yeah well get those things done and get the boys together for the party I'm throwin' tonight!"

"I didn't know you were throwing a party tonight, man."

"I just got around to making the plans. It is hurricane season after all."

"Is it that time a year already man?"

"Yes it is my cool cat."

"Then this'll be the first Huricane party of the year huh?"

"Yes indeed."

"Alright, I'll get the boys together and round up a few locals to have a wonderful time! It's too bad we're not on the island though."

"We'll make it the island!" Sammy said, standing up from where he was sitting and taking a hold of a collom that was holding up his porch roof. "And we'll make it New orleans again for me! You still got your steel drums my cat?"

"Yeah man, they're stored in teh garage."

"Bring 'em!"

"You brining back the old band together?"

"Something like that my man."

"Set the pace to Island time man!"

"Le'ts get it done!" Samuel shouted, turning and walking back into his house, now very excited about the party he was going to throw. He walked through his living room, passing the grand piano he had, and went to what he called his music room. A room in his house that housed only instraments. And instraments there were. A cello, a coulpe of acoustic guitars, a violin, there was even a flute.

"We're brining the Treme to the island tonight!"

Samuel heard a dog barking and heard that it was very close to his house and he let out a groan of irratance.

"Damn it Mrs. G, I told you to keep that mangy mutt on a leash!"

SAmuel turned away from his music room and headed for the front door again. But when he came out, he saw it was Tommy and Morgan with a white dog and the smile returned to his face.

"Tommy my cat! How you doing man?"

[Skarlet]

"yeah, let's go." Nix left the water and started walking along the shore line. "You've got a lot to learn, but that was really good. We can do this any time you want, too. You need the help, and well, what're friends for? The statement bore with it a certain aknoweledgement of futility, you could tell that Nix had mixed emotions about the term 'friends' in this case, on one hand, it was great to meet people. On the other, this girl was amazing, and it was upsetting for nix to think that there was no chance in hell they'd ever be more then friends. Get used to it Nix... You should be used to it already, you've fallen for straight girls before. What's different about this one. Nicole answered her question in aloud in a low whisper. "She's amazing." Nix looked at Cristal again and smile brightly. "By the way, do you like your new goggles? You can keep them."

[Mighty Platypus]

Tommy knocked on the door jovially, waiting for the friendly face of Samuel to show up. Glancing through the window, Tommy saw Samuel's music room, in as much glory here as it was back in New Orleans. He also saw what seemed to be the beginning of the planning of a party. Tommy knew exactly what was happening. "Looks like the first Hurricane party of the season. Didn't know it was coming so soon." Morgan, however, was not paying to attention to Tommy, who really had been talking to himself. She was staring up at the house, thinking about something, before turning to Tommy.

"It really does look like a watermelon."

[Navras]

"Tommy, I see you finally made it!" Samuel said, walking up to Tommy and Morgan while still looking down at the white dog.

"Tommy, before we get to your suprise, I gots to tell you I just got done planning this year's first huricane party, it's on tonight and I think you and your lady friend Morgan here should attend. What do you say? Come to my Huricane party? Please?" Samuel folded his hands in front of him and gave Tommy as sweet a smile as he could manage.

[CristalFlames]

"Really? I can have them?" She couldn't believe it at first. "Thank you so much." Cristal smiled. She couldn't ever remember smiling this much before. Cristal was wondering what Nix was thinking. She didn't know why but she just had a sort of look on her face that made her worry a bit. Cristal walked with Nix no knowing where they were walking to. She didn't really care though. She started to get lost in thought again.

[Skarlet]

Nix walked forward, but she turned her head to Cristal, smiling broadly. "Don't thank me. I have another couple of pairs at home, and I'm comfortable without them... Anyway, as interesting as eyewear is" Nix attempted to joke. "I think you'd make a more interesting topic, do you feel comfortable telling me about yourself? I'm itching to get to know you." Maybe... Nix wasn't sure why, but an unchracteristic hopeful though had popped tenatively into her head. Cristal seemed happy, really happy. Something might come of this... Nix wasn't really optimistic about it, but she was starting to see a small chance.

[Mighty Platypus]

Tommy laughed as Samuel seemingly begged for him to attend. "Samuel, why would I miss a Hurricane party, let alone the first of the season? Of course we're coming! Right, Morgan?" When Morgan didn't respond, he shook her once. "Right, Morgan?" She shook out of her "trance" of sorts and nodded. "Of course we'll be there, Samuel. Let's get in to see this surprise thing now, shall we?"

[Navras]

"Fine, fine," said Samuel smiling. "But I got one rule, understand? one rule." Samuel pointed down at the white dog and said, "He stays outside, you got me? Alright, now let's get to Tommy's suprise! Wipe wyour feet, I just got the floors cleaned about a week ago. And keep the dog outside." Samuel turned and walked back inside his house. But before he took them to Tommy's suprise, he asked them to wait in the living room.

"Got get a shirt on and all," was his excuse.

[CristalFlames]

Cristal nodded staring at the ground as they walked. "I grew up in an orphanage. Not to long ago I was finally adopted. The only thing is my parents are rich so they don't pay attention to me or care what I do. I got a job to make my own money. Growing up I have been on my own. No one really cared about me. So today when those guys threw me in I thought it was over. But someone helped me and I'm still here. Then Jecht came and helped me. This was the first time people actually payed attention to me. That people seeemed to care for me. I'm not used to this happening." Cristal explained.

[Mighty Platypus]

Tommy shrugged as he wiped his feet and laid Rudolph's leash down. "Stay here, boy. And don't eat Willis, please." The perky white dog responded by licking his new owner right in the middle of the forehead. Morgan set down Willis more reluctantly. "No following me, boy. And don't hurt Rudolph, please, I know what you can do." With that, the pair, alongside Samuel, walked into the Watermelon house.

[Skarlet]

Her life must be so hard, it makes mine sound like a fairy tale "Wow... You've lead a hard life, and today doesn't sound like it's been the easiest, even if you've made some friends." She paused, in thought. I guess it's true, hardship really does build character. "Well, I'm fairly happy in comparison I guess. My parents divorced when I was little, and I went to live with mum. She re-married when I was five, and now I have two step-brothers, as well as a 'new father'. I didn't see my real dad in ages. But he got married again, and was gonna have another kid, but his wife miscarried." Nix paused for a moment, comparing her own story, to the comparitively heartbreaking one that Cristal had told her. "I didn't really have any friends before I moved. 'cus I'm bisexual. I liked my best friend. I told her I was bi, and she freaked out. To be honest, I was scared to tell you, incase you were going to do the same thing she did."

[Navras]

"Now, you two just wait here for a moment while I got and get a shirt on." Samuel said, leaving the two in teh living room while he went up stairs to the second floor. He walked over to his bed room, went to the closet and rumaged through his shirts, trying to decide which one to wear.

"Yeah, this one will do," he said, pulling out a black dress shirt and putting it on without buttoning it. He rolled the sleeves up past the elbows and walked over to his dressing drawer. He opened up the first drawer and rummaged through teh random contents he had in there. Some fire crackers, a pair a brass knuckels, a starbucks lid, until he found what he was looking for; a set of keys.

"Man, Tommy is gonna love this!"

[Mighty Platypus]

Morgan waited patiently with Tommy as they sat on the couch, looking forward at whatever was there, staying relatively quiet. After a few minutes, Tommy turned to Morgan, obviously meaning to say something, but turned beet red and looked away. Morgan grinned at Tommy's shyness. Morgan turned back to the small kid. "So what do you think the surprise is? Knowing him, it could be a Mardi Gras mask."

[CristalFlames]

"I have never heard that word before. In the orphange they just told us go out and be happy. My parents haven't even talked to me about dating or anything." Cristal told her. Cristal didn't fully understand what she meant when she said she was bi or that she liked someone. She had never liked someone really before cause no one liked her.

[Navras]

Samuel came down the stairs, a bounce in his step with the set of keys in his pocket.

"Sorry it took me so long," he said to the two of them. "Couldn't find a shirt to match the ocasion. Now then, if the two of you, cat and panther, will follow me I will give you Tommy's suprise. But then again, it might be your suprise too miss Morgan," Samuel said, winking at Morgan and smiling at Tommy. "Come on critters!" Samuel turned and headed to the part of his house that led to the garadge.

[Skarlet]

"You've really never heard the word bisexual before?" She was surprised, this girl had to be her age, or atleast close to it. "The easy way to explain would be this, have you ever read a fairy tale? You know, those stories where the girl's life is miserable and magical things happen and next thing you know, she's in love with the handsome prince? Well... if I were in a fairy tale, there's a chance my prince might be a princess. Usually, girls are attracted to, and want to be with guys. With me, I'm equaly, if not more interested in other girls. Do you understand what I mean?"

[Mighty Platypus]

Tommy shrugged and turned to Morgan. "Panther, eh? He gives nicknames to everybody, though." Morgan got as close to blushing as she had in her entire life. The two of them stood up and followed Samuel to his garage. Tommy hadn't noticed until now, but Morgan was a lot taller than him, and he felt small in front of her. Well, this is going to be a tad awkward, isn't it?

Eventually, Tommy and Morgan caught up with Samuel. Morgan was the first to speak. "So what is it?"

[Navras]

"It," said samuel, opening the door to his garadge and leaning in to turn on the light, which revealed Tommy's gift, "is a car."

Samuel waved his hand forward, telling the other two to come in at any time as Samuel walked down the four steps that led into his garadge.

"1984 model Gran Torino, with a custon red, blue, and purple paint job, the front blue fading in to red with nice little purple designs on the side and hood. 440 horse power, custom engine, brand new tires, remade entieror, and a B-E-A-utiful pair of dice on the rear view mirror. I made it myself, well, mostly anyway."

Samuel turned to Morgan and Tommy, still smiling.

"I figured, since you're getting to be about that age, I'd give you my old car that hadn't worked for years, after I fixed it up of course. What do you think?"

[Mighty Platypus]

Tommy looked at the car. It was probably one of the best-looking cars he had ever seen. "Holy mother of...Samuel, you really willing to give up this beast of a car? My god, this thing is great!"

Morgan admired the car. It was certainly one of the best cars she had ever seen in her life. Granted, she hadn't seen a lot of cars, considering she lived in a little beach town, but it was still a rather good-looking vehicle. "Looks good to me. Samuel, you are a genius, y'know that?

[Navras]

"Yeah yeah, don't rub it in or anything. I'm willing to past this beast in peace to you because I've already got myself a beast of a car, that is in my opinion better than this one. But then again, that might only bebecause I've worked on it since I was sixteen." Samuel smiled and reache dinto his breat pocket, taking out the set of keys to the car. "Here you go my cat, she's all yours. Take good care of her now, of your lady friend just might leave your sorry ass." Samuel looked up at Morgan again and smiled at her. "Come on down here girl, take a seat in the cabuse I just handed over. Oh, and one more thing," Samuel said turning back to Tommy. "I'ma need you to buy this baby for a dollar so I can avoid all of those pesky gift chargin bills. That cool with you?"

[CristalFlames]

"Yeah. No I haven't read a fairy tale. I started to before those boys came around. I just started it though. " Cristal was starting to understand. So Nix liked girls? Does that mean she liked her? She had said she looked good earlier. Did that mean that Nix liked her more than just a friend?

[Skarlet]

"Oh... wow..." This poor girl hasn't even lived life, she's never read a fairy tale, she just learnt how to swim, unbelivable. "Well, I'll be honest, you've gotta be wondering about earlier. I think you're beautiful, and you really seem like something special, I don't know you really well, but I think I kinda like you. Like I kept saying back there, I understand that you're probably not interested, I guess you're probably straight, meaning you only like boys... I hope this isn't freaking you out. My best friend back in Arizona really didn't like it and she acted, well, she acted in a way that made me realise she wasn't my type after-all anyway."

[Mighty Platypus]

Tommy nodded. "Sure, Samuel. I have one somewhere in here..." He shuffled through his pocket, eventually finding a crumpled dollar bill and handing it to Samuel. "By the way, Samuel, thanks for the car, and thanks for helping me out here, man. Couldn't have done it without you. See you at the Hurricane party; you always had the best ones." With that, Tommy boarded the driver's seat of the amazing vehicle and launched off with Morgan into the road, before realizing something. "Morgan, can you run back and grab the dogs?"

 

After that embarrassing task was done, and Rudolph was sitting in the back while Willis lay on Morgan's lap, the car started up again and launched into the streets of Spring Beach.

[CristalFlames]

"Tell you the truth, I don't mind really. At least someone likes me." Cristal told her. She didn't really care who liked her as long as one person did. She just wanted someone to care for her. Is that so hard to ask for? Her own parents wouldn't even hug her, let alone look at her. All Cristal wanted was for someone to care for her and love her. But she knew she wasn't going to get that.
