Morgan was still holding on to Tommy, but this time there were a few minor differences this time. First of all, Tommy was standing up now, and he wasn't struggling against her grip now. Second of all, he wasn't being grabbed by his ear or his arm even, but firmly by his hand. Unfortunately, unlike all those romance movies, where they seemed perfectly happy, Tommy's hand felt completely crushed by Morgan's strong grip.

"I think I am ready." She started to feel a bit better knowing that no one was going to let anything bad happen to her. Cristal let the water hit her. It felt nice. She was still afraid of it but didn't fully understand why she was afraid in the first place. Cristal took a deep breath and looked at her. She was ready to learn how to swim. She wanted to no longer be afraid of something she loved.

Tommy saw Samuel's house in the distance-Samuel's real name was Logan, so Tommy didn't have a clue where the nickname Samuel even came from-and expected Morgan to steer them towards the house instantly. But, rather unexpectedly, she made a sharp turn and started heading left. Tommy began to question her, but Morgan slyly covered his mouth with her free hand. "We have some business to do first, Tommy. You'll see..."

Vallen finally finished at the beach. He huffed and clumsily stumbled up the beach from the water, and grabbed the bag that contained his change of clothes and walked down the block to his house.

After getting changed, Vallen decided to walk around the neighborhood a little bit. He informed his parents and left with his cellphone and a few bills in his pocket for the arcade. Vallen got a few blocks from his home before he saw a small bunch of guys standing at the upcoming street corner. At first Vallen didn't think much of them, but as he got closer he realized that they were the bunch that had thrown the girl in the ocean that afternoon and bullied her before they were told off. Vallen snorted before they turned around and he turned into the alley to take the path around the street corner.

 

Vallen headed off to the arcade soon as he was sure he was far enough away.

"Great!" She smiled enthusiastically, she was confident that she could help the girl. "okay, now the way this works, is that hold your arms out infront of you like this" She held her arms over her head. "And stroke like this..." She bought her arms down. "your head stays just under the water, and you just lift it up and take a breath when you need it, like this. Nix layed down in the shallows and kicked herself into a start, demonstarting powerful, controled kicks. she took it slowly, trying to come off as appealing and graceful, as well as demonstrait the stroke. She stood up and walked back over to Cristal. "See, those kicks are important too, they speed you up and they keep you from sinking, but if it's more comfortable, just practice the stroking part with your arms above your head, and we can try water when you're comfortable." She tried to make confident, comforting eye contact, and simply found herself distracted by her own mind... She's so gorgeous. But she must be straight.

Morgan pushed hard on Tommy's hand as Willis trotted next to her, barking at anything that walked near the couple. She smiled at the puppy's dedication-well, puppy wasn't an accurate depiction, considering that he was born when she was three, thirteen years ago. Tommy was blissfully unaware of her current plans, which made Morgan very, very happy, almost ecstatic. "C'mon, little man, let's go."

Cristal tried copying the movements with her arms. She felt silly doing it. She wanted to learn though so she kept trying. Cristal didn't know if she was doing it right or not. She stops and looked at Nix. "Am I doing it right? Or am I messing up?" Cristal felt like a bother to her. The way Nix was looking at her made her think that Nix was annoied and didn't like her. She couldn't believe she failed at making a friend.

"You're doing great!" She really was, her arm movements were perfect, not too loose, but not ridged. "You look really good..."That came out wrong. But even then, it's true... "Remember, when you come up for air, take nice deep breaths." She was trying to cover up her mistake, but part of her actually wanted Cristal to know that she was captivated by the girl. She continued to stare, smiling, and starting to blush slightly, given the embarasment of her slip of the tongue.

Cristal was blushing a little. One that was the first time someone ever told her she looked good. Two cause a girl told her that and she wasn't expecting that. "Uh..Okay." She was going to stick her head in the water but was afraid to. Cristal was trying to convence herself to try it but what Nix just said was stuck in her mind. She ended up blushing more. Cristal just stared at the water.

"Sorry... that just slipped out..." Nix said with regret in her voice. The girl was beautiful, the sun shone off her white hair amazingly, her eyes were spectacular. Nix couldn't help but feel an attraction to her. She bit her tongue for a moment, before deciding it might be best to just explain. "You see, I'm bisexual. And I know you're probably not interested..." Nix was blushing vividly now. I think I'm about to tell a straight girl I just met that I find her stunning... "But you honestly look amazing. I'm sorry if the way I feel bothers you."

Cristal looked at her confused. She had never heard that word before. She had grown up in an orphange so she never really knew the world of dating. "Bisexual?" She repeated. Cristal thought that if you loved someone then you be with them. It didn't matter who it was. Just as long as you are happy. "Okay." She said not fully understanding but knowing that Nix liked her.

"Well, yeah, bisexual, I like girls as well as guys. But I know you're probably not interested, and that's fine..." There was a little disapointment in her voice, but she expected this kind of reaction at best. She tried to get it out of her mind and just concentrait on the swimming thing. "Ready to give swimming a go? remember, we're in shallow water, and if you go too low you'll probably get a face-full of sand, but the goggles should keep your eyes safe. Her eyes... Even through those goggles they look so pretty.

"Okay." Cristal nodded. She didn't want a face full of sand but she knew that may happen. Cristal was too scared to move. The water scared her. What if a large wave came up and knocked her under. What if a creature pulled her off to sea? Her mind was filled with negative thoughts she really thought she couldn't do it anymore. She stepped back some staring at the water.

"I'll be right there beside you, if something happens I'll have you back on land faster then you can tell you're in trouble, I promise... Just go at your own pace, don't rush it, be comfortable, and whenever you're ready, I'll be right beside you, and if you want, I'll go out first and check if everything's all safe and sound, again. There's something so cute about her caution, she's sheltered, innocent. It's so... She couldn't even finish the sentence in her own mind. The girl was amazing to her. Sure, she didn't know anything about her, but she knew all she needed to be very, very interested, and want to get to know all there was to know.

Morgan continued to force Tommy along her chosen path, Willis nipping at their heels. Eventually, the jerking stopped in front of a large purple house. The jerking jumpstarted again as Morgan dragged him into the front of the building. She pulled open the door and was immediately greeted by two large mastiffs. "Hey, boys. Don't run over my friend over there." She led-not dragged-Tommy over to a fluffy couch with a sheltie laying on it. "I have a proposition for you. Sherpa, get down," Morgan clucked. The sheltie reluctantly hopped off the couch. "Rudolph, come here." An excited-looking Amoyed smiled-did dogs smile? Tommy wasn't sure-and zoomed up to the couch, taking a seat in between Tommy and Morgan, to the former's annoyance. The white fluffy dog instantly turned around and licked Tommy in the center of the forehead.

Tommy smiled as he admired the dog. "Wow, he's great. So what's this proposition of yours?"

Morgan grinned. "I'm glad you like him, because that's part of the proposition. This place is more packed than it ever has been, or should be. Would you mind taking Rudolph off my hands? He seems to like you." As if to prove a point, the Samoyed licked Tommy again, who began to giggle.

After gaining his composure, Tommy sat up and thought. He would need food, and water, and Eddie would hate it, but he couldn't say no to this deal. "Of course. It's a deal."

She nodded. "Okay. You can go first and check it..." She was nervous. Cristal felt stupid for feeling the way she did. She can't believe she was afraid of water. She sighed hoping she would get this right and hurry back to the shop before her break was over.

The girl walked out into the water, carefully tredding over a large area, smiling back to Cristal, hoping to assure her that it was all okay. she continued to talk "There's nothing out here that can hurt you, it all seems okay. This is a great spot." with that, she dived, gracefully, out into the slightly deeper water and swam her way back into the shallows. "And the water feels great. Come on in, even if you don't feel up to swimming you can stand here. it's refreshing. Am I feaking her out? God I hope not... she's so... WOW! I don't wanna screw this up, even if she doesn't like me we could be great friends... God there is no 'if' she must be straight... the way she's reacting.

Cristal finally stuck her head under water. Her eyes were closed at first. She slowly opened them remembering she had the goggles on. She looked around under the water seeing nothing there but people off in the distance swimming. Cristal lifted her head and gasped for air. She looked over at Nix amazed. She could see under water and it looked so awesome. She smiled at Nix and went back under to look around again.

The girl's soaking hair was so beautiful, the water formed bead-like droplets that sparkled in the sun, she was so lovely, The smile on Nix' face was huge and she was blushing even more brightly now. "It's fun, huh? As the girl's head once again plunged under water, Nix swam underwater, waving to the girl as she curved around her, swimming in a side-stroke. before re-emerging. This is great, she's starting to feel comfortable in the water, and I think with me too! The smile in Nix' mind was massive, even compared to the grin on her face.

Cristal came back up for air. She smiled feeling so great. Cristal felt like she could try and swim not. She was trying to figure out the time and how much longer she had before she had to get back to the shop. Cristal stood up in the water and smiled. The sun and the water both felt great.

"Ready to give it a go? Remember, I'm gonna be right beside you, nothing's gonna happen while I'm here, and your strokes looked so natural, you're gonna be fine." She smiled, Cristal might be nervous, but this was her element somehow. She seemed to naturally belong out in the water, she just needed to learn, and discover that belonging. Again, Nix looked at the girl, her beautiful eyes concealed partially by goggles, her dripping hair glistening in sunlight. Nichole knew that Cristal's break wouldn't last forever, but part of her wished it would. Nix was determind to get Cristal to try to swim atleast once before her break ended. "Come on, you can do it."

[Navras]

-At the beach still with Morgan a while ago-

"I just asked him for the two of you to come over to my house so I could give him his present... He's been working for it for a while now, I figured it was time to give it to him..." Samuel said, a confused and slightly hurt tone in his voice. "Maybe it was the hook up thing... He hates it when I tease him about girls..." Samuel looked at Morgan, smiled, and tusseled her hair.

"I'll catch you later panther, I've got places to go and people to suprise. Hey! If you see Tommy, be sure to drag him over to my place later alright?" Samuel said, snapping his fingers and pointing at Morgan as he walked away.

"You can't miss it! It's the old three story house with lime green shutters and trem and light pink paint! Call it the watermelon house! I'll catch the two of you cats later!"

 

-Later at Samuels house, Watermelon House-

Samuel walked out from his garadge, his shirt and over coat off to show off his flat stomach to no one, wiping grease and grim from his fingers and hands.

"Man Tommy is gonna love what I got in store for him when he gets here!"

Samuel walked over to his refrigerator and opened it, taking from the inside a bottle of Mike's Hard Lemonade (Franchizes...). He un did the cap, took a swig, and headed for his front porch. He walked out of his door just as Morgan and Tommy had disappeared from sight. He took another swing from his beverage, reached into his pocket to dispense a pony tail, sat down in a chair on his front porch, and proceded to put his dread-locks in a pony tail, once he had sat his drink down.

Cristal nodded. "Okay." She had to try. She had to at least swim once before leaving. Her heart was racing wildly. Should she really do it or not? Cristal took a breath and did what Nix had showed her. She moved like she had been showed. She felt light. Cristal liked the feeling. It was so wonderful under the water and she loved it. She didn't want to come up but had to for air. She stopped and stood up and looked at Nix.

"That was amazing, You did it first try!" Nix was legitamately impressed, it hadn't been as easy for her to learn. This girl really is absoluetly incredible! She swam perfectly on her first attempt, she's beautiful, she's innocent, she's...I don't know any words that quite fit. Nix moved over to Cristal with a huge smile on her face. "You did that perfectly. If you have time now, we should go for a walk, get to know eachother a little better. I'm new in town and your the first person to ever really bother spending any time with me." You're comming on way to strong here girl...

"Sure. I got some time." Cristal smiled. She was so happy that she did it. Especally cause it was on her first try. She lowered the goggles so they were around her neck instead of on her eyes. Cristal liked swimming even though she still had to learn. Now she knew she shouldn't be afraid. The sun was drying the water off of her. She smiled at Nix. "Should we go now?" Her heart was still racing from the excitement of what just happened. She had swam and she couldn't wait to tell her parents.
