Cristal sat on the stool waiting. Just a few more minutes and she would be on break. She sighed. Cristal stared up at the clock. How much longer would Nix took? She stood up and stretched. Cristal stared up at the sky still thinking about what happened earlier. Her boss walked up again. She was confused cause he never checked on her, especally not this much.

"Cristal!" She jumped up.

"Yes sir?!"

"Your break begins now! I expect you back here on time!"

"Yes sir!" Cristal was afraid of her boss. She hated that he treated her like he did. She hated it more when she got on his bad side. He left again. Cristal sighed and put the sign up saying she was break and would be back later. She walked out onto the sand and stared out at the water.

Jecht saw some girl being thrown in the water. Looked like she couldn't swim. It was nothing new to Jecht though. He looked at the girl he was supposed to be teaching. "Of course, first you gotta wax your board." He said picking up the bar of boardwax. "You wanna stroke it lightly across the board. In a diagonal shape. After a while you should do it the other way, make it like a criss-cross like way." He said showing her how to wax the board as he waxed his.

"A Hamburger, Large fry, and a diet coke please" Vallen heard a customer say.

Vallen punched the buttons into the register and came up with the total and stated, "Alright thats $8.97." Vallen stood as the customer took out a 10$ bill and gave it to him. Vallen gave back $1.03 and yelled back to the large guy at the grill, "1 Hamburger, large fry, and diet coke." Vallen looked at the next person in line as they placed their order feeling like he was just in a haze of his usual work day while his mind pleaded for the last hour to go by quickly

The last hour didn't go by quickly, but when it did Vallen couldn't be happier. He grabbed his swimsuit and immediately headed to the beach hoping to have at least a few hours of a good time since the rest of the day had been... disturbing. When he got to the beach, it was still partially sunny and there were still quite a few tourists out on the beach. A few sun bathers, a few small boys buried up to their necks in sand. Vallen ran full-speed toward the beach water before he tripped and fell head-first into a giant hole with a shovel embeded in the sand next to it.

Cristal sat on the sand waiting. She hadn't eaten yet but decided not to. Suddenly the guys from earlier walked back up. "Hey girly. I see your still here." They kicked sand on her.

"Stop it. Leave me alone." Cristal told them. They stopped.

"Why don't we take you for another swim?" He grinned. Cristal looked up at him. He had short brown hair and green eyes. He was the one that threw her in earlier.

"No leave me alone."

Jecht saw the same girl who had been thrown in a nearly drowned was being bothered by the same guy again. Don't get involved. He told himself. Don't get involved. He sighed. "Excuse me." He told the girl. "I will only be a second. I promise." He told her but though I hope. He began walking towards the girl and no doubt a "big shot" tourist. I swear they get stupider every year. Jecht walked up to the guy, who was more muscled than him but Jecht believed he could take him if it came down to it. He had muscles of his own from years of surfing. "Hey dude. You got a problem?"

"Oh my god." Tommy muttered under his breath. "What was that for, Samuel?" Tommy, after being released from the large Nawlins native's grasp, ran off and crawled into an alley. "Freaking idiot. Gotta get the heck outta here now."

---------

Morgan walked over to the now alone Samuel, thoroughly confused, Willis clutched in her arms. "Hey, Samuel, what did you want?"

The guy looked at Jecht. "No I don't have a problem. Why are you asking?"

Cristal watched them. She stayed quiet. That was the second time today this had happened. She knew the guy was annoied cause his fun was ruined once again. Cristal didn't know much about Jecht though. She had seen him a few times but this is the first time she had seen him up close.

Vallen got up from his hole dug experience and brushed off the sand from his pants and mumbled, "Great, third hole I've fallen into. Why can't these stupid tourists dig their giant holes up further." As Vallen started walking toward the beach once again, finally hoping to have a good day at the beach when he saw the same girl that he'd saved earlier being defended from the same guys that had thrown her into the water by a muscular-looking guy. Vallen smiled and continued on into the water and didn't look back, "Don't worry, this time I have nothing to worry about and she can handle herself." Vallen thought as he threw his whole body into the first wave.

Jecht looked at the guy, he knew he couldn't intimidate him. "Because it looks like you were bothering the young lady." He said. "I don't think she appreciated what you did to her before." He said not showing any fear to the guy. Now that he saw the girl up close he recongized her as the girl who worked at the rental shop. Her name was Reina he was pretty sure. She was a shy girl. He could see her being picked on by the tourists. She was small and didn't look like much to most people.

OOC- Her name is Cristal. I changed it cause I have Reina as a neko and knew if I used Reina I would make her into a neko. And thats not allowed here. I keep wanting to put Reina though.

The guy stood up straight. "So, I'm just having some fun. If you want her so bad then here." He picked Cristal up by her hair and shoved her at Jecht. The guy walked off without another word. He and his friends were laughing as they walked off the beach. They kept looking back to see what was going on. The guy kept his eyes on Cristal and then walked out of sight.

OoC:Yeah, that's why I keep the same name :P

Jecht caught Cristal in his arms, still glaring at the guy as he walked away. He made sure Cristal was standing on her own and let go of her. "I'm sorry about that. These tourists need to just leave the beach and leave us alone." He said as he stopped glaring at the guy and looked to Cristal smiling. "So you okay now, Cristal?" He asked glancing at the guy once more then turned his full attention to Cristal.

"Gotta hide, gotta hide," Tommy mumbled as he zoomed through the streets of Spring Beach, off-putting multiple foofy-looking rich tourists and a rotund watermelon vendor. "Stupid Samuel, trying to get me set up like that, he knows how I am with girls..." Eventually, Tommy reached Uncle Eddie's house, panting in relief. He fumbled with the key before nearly falling into the house and landing on the couch.

OOC- I couldn't think of a last name for Reina v.v

"Yes sir. Thank you." She looked up at him. Cristal was glad that she wasn't thrown in the water again. She was wondering where Nix was. She should of been here by now. "I'm sorry." Cristal told him. She felt bad. Twice today that guy has messed with her. If he does it again what would happen? What would he do next? Would she be able to stop him? She was so worried.

"I'm glad I could help." He said nodding at Cristal. Jecht could see she was worried. "Its okay." He said trying to reassure her. "If those guys bother you again. You can call me." He said smiling. He glanced back at the girl who was at his shack. "Sorry, but I really gotta get back to work." Jecht looked to see the guy bu couldn't seem to find him. He began to run back to the shack hoping the girl wouldn't be too mad at him. "Sorry." He apoligized for leaving.

"That's the second person who saved me....But who was the first?..."She said to herself. Cristal was walking back to the rental store. Her boss was watching her nearby. He didn't say anything. She sat back on her stool and pulled out her lunch. Slowly she started to eat. Cristal was really hungry and loved the taste of her food as she ate it. So much was on her mind. Why did that guy even come near her in the first place?

Nix had made her way back to the stall, her eyes searched the area, nothing... Maybe she was down on the beach... Nix half-ran toward the beach, nearly running straight into Cristal. "There you are!" Nix said with a happy smile. She opened her arms, as if to offer a hug. Damn it! Why do I do stuff like this! But it was too late for that, if she retracted the offer she'd just seem wierder now. The look on Cristal's face was confused, and she seemed freightened again, to a degree. Nix couldn't help but think this look was almost cute on her, but she'd much rather have seen a smile. She had that look on her face before I offered to hug her, didn't she?

Cristal looked at her. "You made it. " She finished eating and put her stuff away. "I was wondering where you were." Cristal told her. She stood and walked over to her. "I am ready. " She was still nervous. She didn't know if she should go through with this or not. Cristal just stood there trying to figure out what Nix was doing. She had her arms out . She just looked more confused than she was before.

"I guess you'd rather not give me a hug, that's fair enough, you've only known me like just over an hour." Sigh She tried to muster an understanding smile, but it was laden with disapointment, half-hearted. With that, she started to walk down to the water, trying to find a nice, quiet spot. Eventually, her eyes found an out of the way spot, the water there seemed okay, not like the dead stillness of a rip tide. "Come on, when you're ready we'll go swimming." I just hope those guys don't start any more trouble, I know I'll be able to help her, but it'll destroy her confidence...

Tommy shifted his eyes from left to right, searching for Uncle Eddie while hiding under his couch for no particular reason. He stuck one hand out tentatively and felt...a lick. While he wouldn't put it above Eddie to lick someone's hand, this was most definitely the work of a dog, a small one, a small, fluffy white one...and into the couch popped Morgan's Westie, happy as a clam. A pinching feeling came to his ear as Morgan pulled him out from under the couch and out of the house. "C'mon, buddy, we're going to Samuel's house, and nothing's going to stop me."

She was really nevous about trying this. What if those boys saw and started to laugh at her? What if they came by and started to make her drown like before? These thoughts scared Cristal more. She wanted to go back to work. She knew she was running away from it. Cristal sighed and slowly stepped into the water. It felt good compared to the heat from the sun. She looked at Nix wondering what to do.

"Okay, let me go out and check that it doesn't get deep suddenly." Nix walked out a little further, the current on this part of the beach was calm and gentle, small waves lapped gently against them. "It seems really good. Whenever you're ready, I'll teach you breath-stroke." It seemed the easiest stroke to teach, very simple. Cristal would probably pick it up with ease. "Oh, before I forget." She offered out the goggles in her hand to Cristal. "You'll be able to see where you're going when your under water if you have these."

Morgan let go of Tommy's ear to grab his arm; a really bad mistake, or so it seemed. As soon as her hand left his ear, he bolted back towards Eddie's house and planned to lock the doors, she figured. Thankfully, she had prepared for this; moments later, a large Doberman dragged Tommy back to Morgan and laid him on the ground by her feet like a squirrel or a rabbit. "Thought it would be that easy, did you, kid. Trust me, dealing with Morgan Yew is not that easy."

"Thank you" She took them and put them on. "Do they really work?" Cristal looked down at the water slowly going out to her. Her heart was beating so fast. She hoped she wasn't going to drown. What if she did? Cristal's mind was swimming with so many thoughts right now. She couldn't keep her mind straight.

Tommy sighed as he looked into Morgan's blue eyes. He had to admit, they sucked him in, but he was bad with words, and girls made him feel awkward. Well, so did everything else, he figured. He tried hard to look miffed, but the closest he could get was slightly embarrassed. "You're really dedicated about this, aren't you." Morgan nodded, looking not confused at all by his reaction.

Tommy smiled before continuing. "Can I just make one request?"

Morgan's eyes twinkled. "Sure, what is it?"

"Can I walk this time?

"Okay, now, let me start by saying I'm not gonna let anything happen, we're gonna stay here in the nice, shallow water, and just learn the basics. it should be deep enough for you to swim in, but you'll be able to stand up, no trouble. And even if you can't I'm a strong swimmer, and there's lifeguards on the beach. You'll be fine." She paused, trying to gauge Cristal's feelings about this, and well, about her. I've never taught anyone how to swim before, but I'm sure I'll be fine. She looked Cristal in the eyes. "Ready yet?"
