Hurricane Season RP (Started/Not Accepting)

The ambulence reached the hospital. Cristal was taken back to a room. Her parents rode up in an expensive car and got out. They went inside to the front desk. "Where is our daughter? She must come home imediatly" Her mother said. "She is resting now and mustn't be desturbed" The lady at the front desk told them. "We must see our daughter now." Her father said. They weren't happy about Cristal being in a hospital.

Nix heard two people who obviously didn't care too much about thier daughter's health. She felt herself growing angry as she realised just who they were. "Mister and Misses Flames?" She called out, asking to be sure, but she felt herself getting up and walking toward them. These were the kind of people that made Nix' blood boil. She felt her fist start to clench, it wasn't a violent gesture and it wasn't a threat, it was just something Nichole did when she was angry. And Cristal's parents deserved a good dose of anger. She glared, waiting for an answer, releasing her fist before it was noticed. How could they treat such a perfect person like they do? They're monsters! Nix' emotions, at that point, were so strong that she felt she could kill Cristal's parents with a glare. This was ofcourse not the case, and that was definately good for them.

They glanced at her. "Who are you and what do you want? We are in a hurry." Her mother turned her gaze back at the lady at the front desk.

 

Cristal started to wake up. She glance around trying to find out where she was. She saw the IV in her arm and started screaming. She didn't know what to think. Nurses came in the room trying to calm her. Cristal's boss came in the room since he was an adult and they had allowed him back at the time to check on her. He put his hand over her eyes and she stopped screaming. "Tell me what you see Flames." "Darkness..." "No. Picture a good thought in your mind and tell me what you see." Cristal did that. She saw Nix teaching her how to swim. She told him. "Good." He took his hand away. "Are you alright now?" He asked. "Yes sir." Cristal answered.

"Ma'am, my name is Nichole Higgins. I'm your daughter's best friend, and weather or not you understand this, she's been through far too much today. She's witnessed shootings, she's been kidnapped and she's had a panic attack. You need to let her rest, she can't just instantly leave the damn hospital and be okay! And you need to treat her better and actually expose her to the world! Until she and I met she was like a shut-in. That amazing girl knew nothing of life outside the orphanage and your house. It's high-time you start treating her with dignity, respect and love. You picked her because she was nearly old enough to inherrit your money she tells me. Well unless you want that money completely wasted you'd best start treating her properly and letting her know the world because honestly, Right now she wouldn't know what to do with it all and it would probably be wasted!" Nix didn't like saying that about Cristal but it was true. "Now, I understand that you're busy people but for f***'s sake, can't you understand the value of human life? Listen to me closely. your Daughter is in a terrible condition and if it wasn't for me she may well have died last night, if it wasn't for some random who gave her CPR she'd be dead now. What does that say about her 'parrents'?" Nix was fuming. "And just one more thing. I hope you're not homophobic as well as senseless and money-hungry." With that Nichole returned to her seat without another word.

Her parents stared at Nix. They couldn't believe she had just yelled at her. And they were trying to figure out why she said the last bit she did. Cristal wasn't like that. She stayed away from people.

 

"Now Cristal, the police are here to ask you some questions." Her boss told her. Two men walked in. Cristal looked at them. "Okay...." She was nervous. People made her nervous. The police started to ask her what had happened. Cristal was shaking and stuttering when she talked. She hoped they were mad at her. The police understood why she was acting that was. She had been through alot in the past few hours.

Nix just glared at Cristal's parents. She hoped that something she'd said had gotten through thier skulls. She doubted it though. Even if this were the first time they'd heard something like that they wouldn't care. They'd probably just take thier daughter home and forget all about this once thier bank account re-plenished it's self as it invariably would. It made Nix so mad that anyone could treat someone, especially someone so amazing like that. She couldn't understand how human beings could be so cold. wondered if she could get in to see Cristal. She was dying to see her. To hold her hand to be with her. She loved this girl.

Cristal, her boss, and the police head to the waiting room. Cristal was in a wheelchair so she wouldn't have to walk. She watched saw her parents and frowned. She saw Nix and smiled. She knew she was going to have to go home with her parents but seeing Nix made her smile. Her boss had let her take a week off from work. She could have more time if she needed it. She wasn't talking much. She was still shaking from seeing that guy being shot.

Nix gave Cristal a small wave, and knowing that her parents wern't looking, blew her a kiss. Screw it. She thought as she walked over to the girl. "Cristal, Y'know we never exchanged phone numbers." She handed Cristal a piece of paper with her number written on it, that she'd written up earlier and decorated with a large, well-drawn love heart. She'd also kissed the page with newly applied lip stick. Leaving a clear message.. "Call me later if you get the chance. It'd be nice to talk to you, if you feel up to it ofcourse. Anyway, your folks are busy and you probably just wanna go home and rest. "Goodbye Cristal.' She smiled, and put on an even bigger fake one when she looked to Cristal's parents. "Goodbye, Mster and Misses Flames, it was nice meeting you." Nix lied through her teeth, and she knew she didn't fool anyone, but like she cared.

Cristal blushed. She was ready to go home. Her parents got in the car and Cristal got in to. They were driven home. Workers helped them to their room. Some helped Cristal get undressed and into the tub washing her. "Do you think....things will get better?..."She looked up and the lady washing her. The lady was shocked that she had been talked to. Cristal never talked before. But the look in Cristal's eyes had changed from being alone to being frightened. "Of course." She helped Cristal get dressed and get in bed.

Nix was in the car with her father by the time Cristal was in the bath. She sat in the front seat next to him. "So why the hospital?" Nix was smiling, happy now. "Well, Cristal, the drunk one got into some trouble, and they had her in for obseravtion I suppose, I dunno quite what the problem was." She lied. "Oh, she's okay now, right?" "Yeah, she'll be fine, she just needs some time, and some understanding parents." Nix' father nodded understandingly. Mostly because Nichole's friends had a history of comming from bad families, he was used to hearing Nix stay stuff like that. "Daddy, I think I'll be going on a date with Cristal some time soon, and I really don't know anywhere around here, Do you know any places?" She said attempting to change the subject. "Well, there's a really nice French place your mother and I went to when we went out a couple of weeks ago. You could take her there. They're tollerant. There was a gay couple there when we ate." Nix smiled as she got out of the car at home and went into her room.

Cristal couldn't sleep. When she finally dozed off she had nightmares. She woke screaming. The lady came in and held her. Her parents then came in yelling at her to go to sleep. They left her there in her dark from. The lady stayed with Cristal. "You've changed. You used to never talk or want to talk and now you are. You finally spoke to me today. Tell me what all happened. " Cristal sat there in her arms and told her everything. She felt safe and felt like she could trust her.

Nix sat, looking at her phone, waiting for Cristal to call. It was dark in her room she didn't have the light on. She flopped down onto her bed, she wasn't tired, she was just dis-heartened. She realised that Cristal probably had a lot on her mind and a lot of recovering to do, but she'd still had a deep-seated hope that she'd get a call, or a text, something. she layed on her bed looking out the window. Wishing she'd been able to get Cristal's number, so she could make first contact. Nix heard the sound of her door opening and the room flooded with light, she closed her eyes until her father had closed the door. He sat beside her with a glass of milk and a handful of small chocolate-chip cookies, the way he used to when Nix was younger. "You really like her, huh?" He asked her, breaking the silence. "I do." "Well there's no way she could go past my little angel, You'll get her in the end." With that he stood up and left before Nix had a chance to responde. She slowly dipped a cookie into the milk and started to eat with a new-found smile on her face.

The lady rocked Cristal in her her arms until she fell asleep. She put her gently back in bed and covered her back up. Cristal slept soundly now. No one had done that before. Nix's number was under her pillow. The lady left the room quietly. SHe didnt want to wake Cristal. She treated Cristal more like a mother than her own mother did. She went to her own room and fell asleep.

Nix finally decided that Cristal had just had a tough day and needed time to think. She felt her eyes close and breathed a heavy sigh as she departed from her waking world into her dreams. She stood, staring into Cristal's eyes, the pair holding hands. They looked older, if only by a year or two Cristal had love in her eyes and neither of them spoke. They stood at the edge of a high cliff, both of them wearing small, yet tasteful bikinis. "Are you ready, princess?" Nix asked Cristal, who responded in a soft "I think so." with that the pair dropped one arm from one another's grip and jumped from the edge of the cliff into beautiful, calm, clear-blue water. they sunk together smiling at one another, befor Cristal started to swim gracefully to the surface. Nix followed soon after.

Cristal woke the next morning. SHe sat up and rubbed her eyes. Her parents were at work already. She knew that. The sun was up and shining bright. Cristal didn't know how she got any sleep. She could still see Vallen (Sry if mispelled....) getting shot right in front of her. She kept her tears back. She didn't like seeing that scarey vision anymore. She didn't want any of that to exisist. She wish it was all fake but knew that wasn't going to happen.

Nix woke feeling refreshed after her dreams of Cristal. She checked that she hadn't missed any calls or texts. Nothing. Nix wondered if She'd hear from cristal today. She sat up in her bed, eating the last cookie that she hadn't had last night, before carrying her phone out to the kitchen, and beggining to cook bacon and eggs. She hummed the song "One Thing" She'd heard the guy who gave Cristal CPR the day before singing it when she was near Cristal's stall before it all happened. Nix produced a bread roll from the fridge, she heaped a small amount of bacon and an egg into the roll. a moment later she'd applied cheese and barbecue sauce. she sat by herself at the table and started to eat. She was a late riser and most her family was out. Her youngest step-brother was sleeping upstares though.

Cristal got up and got dressed. She didn't want to eat anything. She wallked through town with her head lowered. She didnt know where she was going or what she was doing. Cristal just kept walking. She stopped infront of a building that looked familiar. It was Nix's house. Cristal stood there wondering if she should knock or not. Cristal sighed and knocked on the door hoping she wasn't interrupting anything. She didn't want to be a bother.

Nix stood and made her way to the curtain. drawing it back to allow the sunlight to flood in she saw a familiar figure on the street. Nix was quick to make her way out the front door. She moved quickly toward the girl, smiling brightly. "Cristal!" Nix said excitedly as she picked up into almost a run, the movement ended in a tight hug from Nix. This felt perfect if only for a moment, the sun lightly kissing them, Cristal in her arms, life was great. Tonight, maybe we can go out tonight. She was so happy to see Cristal he was astounded. that Cristal would make it here. The only time she'd ever been here she came via car and she was drunk at the time. Nix almost felt like that was fate, for her to make it back here now.

Cristal hugged her staying silent. She was still trying to get the event out of her head. She remembered the last time she was here. She had been drunk that night and didn't remember much. Then the next morning she had woken and all that had happened. Her boss knew he wasn't going to come in to work today. He was taking care of the shop by himself. He seemed to have changed some since all that happened. She wanted it all to be a nightmare.

"Are you okay? Come on, let's get yo inside, Cristal." Nix started to softly pull Cristal to by the hand, smiling re-assuringly at the girl. Nix was sure that mentally Cristal wasn't okay. But she was also sure the girl would try to cover it up. Come on, it's up to you to make her feel better, she can't relly on anyone but you Nix... She's totally screwed if you're her only hope, but try anyway. Nix sighed under her breath, not wanting Cristal to hear.

Cristal followed her inside remembering everything she passed. She knew Nix wouldn't hurt her but in her mind everyone wanted to hurt her. She didn't know what to do but just follow. She stayed quiet not knowing what to say. If she said something her voice may shake and she didn't want Nix to know she was scared. Cristal memorize everything just in case she had to run out. She didn't want to get lost like before.

Nix lead cristal around a single corner into the kitchen and indicated for her to sit down. "Would you like something to eat?" Nix said in a worried tone, she couldn't help but feel distressed about her friend, and future date. She just wanted Cristal to be okay. she wanted her to feel comfortable. She had felt a light trembling in the girl. A fear. "I won't hurt you. I love you." Nix said sincerely. Deciding she wouldn't wait for an answer, Nix scooped up the remains of the bacon and egg in the pan, and made a roll similar to the one she had left half finished. She poured a glass of juice and handed the meal to Cristal.

OOC: Well, I meant to stop completely but suddenly stopping on this RP started getting on my nerves and nagging me endlessly in my mind. So, against my better judgement, I've decided to resume my old post if thats okay with everyone still posting here. I've kept watching for some reason and I started feeling like there was more to do.

 

Beep...Beep.... Beep

Vallen faintly heard as his vision slowly opened. He opened his eyes to see 2 blurry figures in light blue clothing standing over him as he laid on the rough bed. His entire sight was blurry and the strange beeping seemed to get louder as Vallen sluggishly started to focus his vision. The figures started to move around, shouting and yelling things that Vallen couldn't make out. His whole body felt heavy and he had an aching feeling in his stomach. Vallen soon saw 3 other figures enter his Vallen's vision and start lightly shaking him on his shoulder. Vallen ached and soon his eyes felt heavy once more and he fell asleep once more.

Cristal stared at the food that Nix gave her. It looked so good. She did leave home without eating. Her stomach growled letting her know she should eat. Cristal stared at it. "Thank you..." She quietly said to her. Her mind still on what had happened yesterday. Nothing she did seemed to get her mind off of it. The gun went off many times in her head. Would he be able to get out? Cristal hoped not. She hoped her troubles were over for now.

[Mysterium Tremendum]

Vallen groggily opened his eyes. At first, his vision was blurry and he could only see the figures from before dressed in light blue with face-masks on. As his vision began to focus and become clearer, he recognized the faces of 2 doctors and a surgeon in the back.

 

"He's awake!" Vallen began to make out as he opened his eyes fully and moved his arms to prop himself up and remove the face mask. As soon as he was sitting up, Vallen felt a strong hug wrap around him from his mother and the sight of his father to his left smiling.

 

After his family left, Vallen sat up in his bed looking at the doctor that had yet to leave. Vallen looked at him and the doctor spoke in a quiet voice, "The bullet didn't hit any of your vital organs, but you will still need to stay here for a little while. After that, you'll need to go on a long recovery program." Vallen listened and stayed silent.
