Hurricane Season RP (Started/Not Accepting)

(Second Day of Tourist Season, 2010) - Worst day for Vallen ever.

Michael returning to work had to have been the most unfortunate event to befall Vallen since he fell through the table at the hurricane party. The day continued with Michael doing everything he could to ruin....well everything. When Vallen was tending to the grill while the hamburgers sizzled, Michael happened to "fall" throwing his arms to toss the spatula from Vallen's hand and grabbing his hand and slamming it down on the steaming hot grill!! Everything that could go wrong, went wrong with a little extra.

When it was finally time for lunch break, Vallen had had enough. He walked out of the area with his hand wrapped in bandages and steam coming from his ears. As he walked to a nearby restaurant for lunch, Vallen seriously considered quiting the stand and finding another place to workd, one where Michael wouldn't be able to touch him.

Cristal watched Nix. She was wondering if she would ever find someone that she would like like as in a boyfriend. She never thought of it before. Cristal looked at her book and wondered if she would get her prince like Thumbelina had. Would her own story be like her story? She wondered if it would. She would love finding the one she loved and then being with them forever. Would she ever find the one though? Cristal started to get down thinking about it.

"I know this must be wierd to you. Having a girl you've only known about a day talking about how much she likes you." Nix placed a lot of emphisis on the word 'girl'. "And I'm sorry about that. I wish I could be a guy for you, or that I didn't have to feel this way about you. Anything to make it feel less strange to you. But I can't change the way I feel." Damn it... You've done it again kid. She criticised herself mentally in the third person as she often did. Why did it have to be this way?

"ANyone up to learn how to surf?" Jecht called out over enthusiasticly, he was a good actor. "C'mon, what you afraid of? Scared to get your feet a little wet huh?" He called out but most just ignored him. He felt really stupid doing this, he felt like those people who hosted the games at the amusment parks. Screw this. Jecht thought climbing over the counter. The best part about finding the shack was he was his own boss. THere weren't any other surf instructor there so it was perfect. Jecht switched the sign to closed and grabbed his bag. "I'm done with this."

Cristal just looked at Nix and smiled. "Don't worry about it Nix. You aren't bothering me." She didn't get what Nix was talking about. She still didn't get the girl liking a girl thing either. Cristal sat on her stool and started to read again. Her boss was no where near and she didn't have any customers to help. So she wanted to enjoy herself before she started her break. A few minutes passed and her break began. She went in the back to change then came back out.

"I'm really not bothering you?" Nix wasn't sure what to believe here, was Cristal really not worried or bothered by the fact that a girl she'd just met was basically trying to start a girlfriend-girlfriend relationship with her? That was odd, but then again Cristal had lead a sheltered life. Nix couldn't help but find that level of innosense or, was it ignorance, appealing. Maybe it was a sign. Nix started to talk, again, before her mind caught up with her...again. "Well listen. Remember yesterday, what I said about going to a movie with you? Well... I kinda meant, like a date, and y'know, I totally understand if you don't want to but it'd mean a lot to me if you did." Nichole! How the funk haven't you figured it out yet!? This girl is S-T-R-A-I-G-H-T!

"I know. Friends go on dates. " Cristal was completely clueless to what she meant. She liked how Nix talked. She made things fun. She didn't know that Nix was trying to ask her out. Cristal wasn't trying to be rude she just never had anyone talk to her about dating or even have the chance to go out with someone. No one really liked her so why should she try to ask someone out? Cristal put the sign up and locked the shop. She was hungry and was ready to try and have some fun on her break.

"Well yeah. Friends do go out on dates together, sometimes." Nix said walking along-side Cristal. "But you're not getting what I'm saying here. I'm trying to ask if we could go out together. Like, as a couple, something more than friends..." A) You've done it again. B) Now you know why she wasn't awkward, she didn't know you're crazy about her! Nix sighed, waiting for almost inevitable disapointment and shot an appologetic an half-hearted smile to Cristal. This poor girl. It's hard to believe I haven't scared her off yet...

"Oh..." Cristal finally understood. So Nix really was trying to get more than a friendship from her. She didn't know how to feel. She didn't know what to say. Cristal was trying to take it all in and understand it all. Her first friend wanted to date her. If she said no would Nix hate her? Would she lose her only friend? Cristal didn't know how to answer. She was afraid to answer. What would happen if she said yes? Cristal was trying to plan this all out in her head.

"I'm sorry, I understand if you just want to be friends, but I really do like you... " Nix' heart sank. Cristal was amazing, but surely she wasn't interested. Nix wasn't sure how a friendship would work with Cristal now. Would it be unbearably awkward? Would she embrace Nix' feelings for her as easily as she'd embraced the girl's sexuality? Nix let out a sigh, she felt she'd really messed up this time. Her normal self-criticising thoughts were reduced from thier usual dry self-loathing insults to simple thoughts of "I've ruined the best friendship I'll ever have here because I want more..."

"I...I need to think...." Cristal walked away. Her mind was so full she was starting to get a headache. What was she going to do about Nix? She didn't really know how to feel. She had never had anyone like her so much. SHe had never had anyone talk to her. Now shes got someone who loves her and talks to her but she doesn't really feel the same. What was going to happen now? Was Nix going to stop being her friend now that Cristal didn't want to really date her? She didn't really want to date anyone.

Nix shook her head as she felt her heart break, tears rolled down her face. It wasn't rejection. It was the thought that she'd just lost the best friend she'd ever have here. She moved to sit on a nearby bench and the tears continued to flow. She looked down, trembling. "Why did I have to be bisexual? Why couldn't I have just been able to stick to guys instead of making everything so awkward. That's two best friends I've lost!" Nix spoke aloud through the tears. And poor Cristal. I was her first real friend and I ruined it for her more than I did for me... Nix just waited for Cristal, hoping she'd come back. She continued to cry, the rejection she knew she was soon to recieve now playing it's part.

Cristal kept walking. She didn't think of going back to work. She didn't want to. How could she work when she feels that way? Someone walked up to her and Cristal looked up. It was the guy she had hit last night. "Do as I say and you wont get hurt." He grabbed her arm. He started to lead her off the beach to a car. The guy pushed her into a car and then got in behind her. "Drive." He say and the car quickly drove off away from the beach.

Nix waited for a while before she gave up. letting out a soft sigh of pure futility. She started on the walk home. tears still running down her her face as she kicked sand into the air. Nichole'd never felt worse. She'd ruined a girl's first friendship, lost her new best friend, and allowed her own heart to break. Nix sat down and looked out at the ocean, feeling the water wash against her bare feet. She spoke, in her mind, Cristal was there beside her. Or atleast in her mind she was able to pretend. "I'm so sorry Cristal. I can't help the way I feel, but if I could change it for you, I would..." Nix' tears were stronger still now. She barely had any left to loose.

They rode to a hotel and he grabbed her arm again. Getting out of the car he pulled her inside to a room and locked the door. Without a warning he knocked her to the floor and tied her up so she couldn't get away. He put a gag in her mouth so she wouldn't scream out. Cristal was scared now. She couldn't get away. She couldn't call for help. She couldn't do anything. Her boss saw a crowd at the shop and went to see what the problem was. Cristal wasn't there. "Where is that girl?" Her boss started to take care of the customers.

Vallen quit. That was it, the end of the day was made so troublesome, that having Michael around would only make his life unbearable. He walked into the main office that managed the snack stand, laid down his resignation paper, and walked out before Mr. Stevenson had a chance to get a word in edgewise.

He walked several blocks with steam pouring from his ears. He liked his job, but Michael had never been as mean as he'd been today. Everything seemed to be an attempt to get him to beat him up. He'd only walked a few blocks when his anger began to recede and soon he was just wandering the blocks, lost in his own emotions and a prisoner in his own mind. Michael had always worked at the stand, heck they'd even gone to school and been in the same class together. They hadn't had a problem until Vallen joined the stand and started gaining a little more favor with Mr. Stevenson, since Vallen did a lot of work and did it the best he could. With these thoughts streaming in his head, Vallen just continued wandering the blocks.

"Come on, let's go..." Leif saw it too, he didn't recognise the girl, but he didn't need to. Nothing gave that guy the right to manhandle her like that. Leif jumped into the driver's side of the guitar, throwing his guitar into the back of the pick up truck again. He waited for Alex to get into the car anxiously, who knew what that guy was gonna do? Leif didn't want to know, he just wanted to stop it. "Who's the girl?" Leif said as he started driving.

"Unsure but she looks familiar, and did you see her bruises?" "What all did i miss at that stupid party last night?" Alex saw the shadow of the man in the hotel window. "There!" Alex yelled. Alex looked through the window but no sign of the girl. "Oh gosh we may be too late!" When the truck stopped. Alex looked in before dashing in the building. "Cmon bu- What did you say your name was?"

Cristal wanted to go home. She should of just went home instead of gone to work. Cristal was so scared she was panicing. She was having a panic attack and couldn't breathe. The gag was making it worse. He slapped her and told her to stop. Cristal couldn't she sat on the floor panicing. What was going to happen to her? She wanted to be on the beach with Nix. She should of never walked off. "I said stop!" The guy pulled out a gun and aimed it at her head. Cristal froze. Was he really going to shoot her? She couldn't stop her tears. She was so scared and couldn't believe any of this was happening. She asked for a normal life when she was adopted. Not one that had danger at every turn. Cristal just stared at the gun wondering if it was the last thing she would see.

Vallen was just turning a corner, still lost in his emotions and deep contemplation. He'd been just wandering when he suddenly started to look at his surroundings and realized he was lost. As he stuttered and whipped his head around looking for anything that would signify his location, he saw a hotel a little bit down the street he was on. He'd had a tiring day, and with no cell phone he wondered if he could use a phone at the hotel since there was no phone on the street he was on and no sign visible that could give Vallen a helpful solution.

When he walked in, nobody was behind the counter. "Hello? Is anyone here? Would you mind if I use the phone please? Vallen looked around, the hotel was lit but it seemed deserted. "Hello?" Vallen continued walking around randomly, when he heard a slight sound come from behind one of the doors. Vallen leaned in closer to the door and put his ear up against the door. He heard the slight noise once again and raised a raised tone shout something incoherently, before knocking and saying in a moderate tone, "Is everything ok in there?"

Leif didn't answer Alex's question, he heard the sound of yelling and ran to it, he saw a guy listening at one of the doors. Leif ran to it. There was a guy at a door and the rest of the hotel was deserted. Leif started to cautiously approach that same door, he cracked his knuckles expecting a fight, but when he heard the guy ask "Is everything ok in there?" He knew that Vallen, not that he knew his name, was no threat. Leif tapped the wall trying to get Vallen's attention, so he could beckon, call him over, anything. Let him know what was going on.

As Vallen leaned his entire body up against the door, and slowly jumped as he spotted the main hotel door open rapidly and saw 1 person enter in through it. Vallen smiled as the person lightly tapped the wall and Vallen pointed at the door he was leaning on. Just as he started to relax his body weight to walk over, the door opened and Vallen fell face-first onto the floor. As Vallen quickly recovered, on his hands and knees, he looked around and saw that he was in a pitch black room. As Vallen looked around, he spotted the same silver-haired girl that he'd saved from drowning and that had been repeatedly harassed by several tourists and defended by Jecht in the corner of the room.

Vallen sighed, there was no hiding his discontent with this girl and he was tired of it. He stood up and said in an irritated voice, "Great, I save you from drowning, Jecht saves you from tourists, you got in a fight, and fell ill all in 2 days! You've had a worse time than I've had and I just got fired." Vallen finally said in an exasperated voice, yes he'd wanted to hide it, but maybe there was no hiding it from someone who gets in as much trouble as she does. Vallen started to walk toward her, offering to help her up, when he saw a gag in her mouth. Before he could think though, he felt a stabbing pain in his stomach and heard the sound of a gun shot. Vallen slowly toppled around clutching his stomach and turned his face toward the back of the door before he dropped to his knees and fell down in a bloody heap.

OOC (Note): Yes, this is the end for me. Its been a lot of fun Roleplaying this. Sadly though its a shame that so many people have stopped posting, this RP in my opinion had a lot of potential. If this RP happens to revive, I may make another character but I doubt that'll happen. Its been lots of fun. Thanks

Leif heard the sound of the gunshot. This is my chance, he's gonna have to reload... Leif didn't realise that Vallen had actually been hit. He charged into the room and clubbed the gunman, knocking him to the ground and pulling the gun out of his hands. a bullet clattered to the ground. Leif grabbed the bullet and finished loading the gun. He steadied the gun with one hand and started to dial 911 on his cell phone. "Hello! I need an ambulance and a police car A.S.A.P! There's been a shooting and a kidnapping at the Starlight Shores hotel! Room 32, I've got the gun off the shooter, but the victim's bleeding badly. The girl he kidnapped is gagged and bound." Leif hung up the phone as the opperator told him help was on the way. "You! Untie the girl!" Leif ordered the gunman, aiming directly at his head.

OoC: Needed to name the hotel.

Her eyes got wide and she started screaming but the gag stopped her from being heard. Cristal couldn't stop crying. Someone had been shot right in front of her. It was the one who saved her berfore. She wanted this nightmare to end. Why was all this happening? Why won't all this stop? She kept screaming and crying. Cristal kept screaming. It was getting so bad. He had tried to help her and he got shot. She stared at the person that had ran in. She watched it all happen. Cristal was having a bad panic attack.
