~Soul's Banning (Mods Only)

He was banned for 2 months for flaming. That seems unnecessary.

Another user, Red~ was banned for 1 month for flaming, excessive swearing and racism.

 

Where's the logic in that? All I ask is that a Super Moderator (or Mod if capable) will equalize the ban, by either making Red~'s a more appropriate length compared to ~Soul's OR deduct the length of ~Soul's.

 

He was a good buddy of mine and I don't want to wait that long for him to get unbanned. Also, it's not really fair considering what each user did.

Jecht I was talking to soul on MSN about this when it occured and I talked to him I understand why he was banned but he as an older member should have just acted better the way he did. I know which thread caused his banning and what he did to deserve the banning. I agree with the mods choice of banning Soul I think it was rather harsh though seeing as he was provoked but it was Souls choice to continue he could have just left the thread then. I am a good friend of Soul too and you know that so don't say I'm taking sides because I am not I miss soul to and well his banning is going to be lifted rather soon. So just be patient and wait for his return. It's the mods job to follow the rules and give out the consequences for those breaking the rules.

The logic is that they were banned by different mods. We have guidelines for warnings but in the end it's up to the mod to decide how to use the banhammer.

 

Meh considering that I don't know what happened exactly' date=' racism does sound much worse to me than the rest so I think that Red~'s ban, if it was really racism, could be longer. 2 months for flaming, harassing and swearing does sound right though.

I understand that they were banned by different mods. And ~Soul didn't do harassement or swearing (as far as I know/remember). I'm pretty sure it was just flaming in like ... 2-3 posts.

Back then warnings on flaming, swearing etc. could have been more leniant then what they are today. Also why are you comparing two different peoples bans for different reasons? Red could have been banned because he was double accounting and Soul was banned for flaming, swearing etc.

Anyways, I flame and harass people when the opportunity is shown. However mods disregard me.
