However, I hope that we will se more of the Shades in the fourth book since much is still unknown about them.

 

BTW magnet:Should the age of Shades be immortal since it seems possible that the evil spirits would prevent the body from dying by age?

Age: (Elves, Dragons and riders are immortal, but I advise that a human rider's age is in the teens and their riders be from new born to about a year. Murtagh would be 120 and Thorn would be 101)

Gender: Male

Race: Shade

Appearence: Pic allowed, but not advised, Unless you are Dragon, and known dragon definately needed.

Personality: His personality can be summarised easily as coldhearted, cruel and sadistic.

 

If he deemed that person useless, Shaugler would kill his own mother withouth so much as blinking.

He enjoys killing more than anything, but his wake of destruction and pain is starting to give him the Riders attention, something he acctually wants since it would grant him the enjoyment of seeing the pure fear in a dragons eye when its rider is dying.

It means Blaze in latin, but it could count as the ancient language right?

 

My character wouldn't start with the sword, because he isn't known as a new rider yet. They know that the egg has hatched but not who the rider is. The reason I chose blaze is because later on in the RP, when my character is better trained and known as the new rider, the blade is made and with the ability to turn into pure flames when its name is said, similar to Eragon's sword. The reason it is similar is because it was made by the same sword crafter who made Eragon's sword, who returned to making rider's sword after Eragon's success in defeating Galbortrix.

 

By the way, I have started reading the books again since I applied for this RP =)

 

Rhunon(the sword maker) made all the riders swords, and the fire thing is because it's the swords true name, not for some other reason. And the sword maker swore that she'd never make another sword after the fall of the riders, so she'd have to do the thing she did with eragon if that's alright. Also, yes shades are immortal, anyone who reserves is reserved even if I dont answer, it's only the app you have to wait, yes people can swap from Rider to dragon(but I wouldn't advise it) and my plan for riders without dragons was for them to not have found the eggs yet. Also, if all the riders(Accepted and not) are to be riders, then can one of you be Murtagh and thorn. You can be both.

 

I didn't think this RPed get this popular. Once we've gotten another Dragon's app we'll start, and any Riders who dont have dragons will be normal people untill they get one. Atleast we dont have dragons without Riders.

[spoiler=Bio] Born as the human Jaetan, a mage that was obsessed with learning the secrets behind summoning spirits and if it is possible to achieve immortality by summoning spirits into your body if you managed to control them.

 

But when his experiments started to go too far, so far that he risked the lives of everyone in his home village, a small village slightly past the eastern border of Alagaesia, he lost the support of the inhabitants.

They raided his home, destroying his research and almost killed him.

 

Infuriated, he summoned 13 spirits of variating strength to take his revenge, but he was too weak to control them all and they overpowered him, took control of his body, and his life as the Shade, Shiras, began.

 

His first act as a Shade was destroying his entire home village, leaving nothing but the ruins and remains of its inhabitants left and continuing on a wild killing spree that eventually led him to the east border of Alagaesia and past it, into the lands that once belonged to Galbatorix but Shiras will become its new ruler if everything plays out as planned, what is standing in his way are the Riders.

 

 

Weapons: A sword that he named Sundavar, meaning Shadows in the Ancient Language

(Not really a weapon but) A book that contains every dark magic spell he has invented (book in appearance pic).

He sometimes has a standard shield with him in battle.

 

Magical power and potential: Because he is possessed by several spirits with a strong magical nature, his own powers have been amplified to the point where he can use most spells only an elf is capable of and for a much more extended time than humans, due to him having a greater stamina. He has invented a few dark magic spells.

 

[spoiler=Skill with Weapon] He is very skilled in sword combat, sometimes enhancing his blade while in combat by silent spells.

 

He can kill regular humans very easy and unskilled Human riders relatively easy, that is if he somehow incapacitates the riders’ dragon or at least keeps it from interfering.

 

Elves, rider or not, are somewhat an even match in swordplay, however the right combination of spells during combat often gives him the upper hand and eventually, victory.

 

 

 

[spoiler=Other] It is very rare that he keep his sword and shield with him but he instead summons it out of seemingly thin air a lot of times.

When he does, what seems like black smoke extends from his left hand and forms into what faintly resembles his sword.

When he grips the hilt, the smoke disappears and his real sword becomes visible.

When he makes it disappear, it simply fades away as the same black smoke that seemingly made it.

The same procedure goes for his shield except it´s the right hand.

 

He has the basic abilities as other Shades (supernatural human abilities and senses, resistant to death etc.)

-Murtagh is freed, by Eragon killing Galbatorix. The person who makes Murtagh & Thorn can help me with the exact things that happened.

-Arya is alive, and (as I said in my app) Eragon is still in love with her, so anyone is welcome to make her.

-Yes we are in alagaesia. My excuse for Eragon still being here is that his true name changes, so he is a different man.

-Yes, but only one. And it has to have been in Galbatorix's storage for them, and only ten(besides glaedr's) will be allowed, as they will be the sane ones that Galbatorix did not make them serve him.
