This is a club RP belonging to The Ancient Society But you can still join this RP, even if you are not part of the club.

The year is 475 AD. The Romans are nearing the end of their Western Europe reign. As they are being attacked constantly by the Goul (France), the Saxons and the Egyptians from all sides. The Romans know a massive strike will happen sooner or later, but they have been busy. They have created a battalion of troops called the Nex Angelus (Death Angles). The Caesar, Romulus Augustus, has been the Emperor for almost 4 months, and has been taking charge of the military and has made improvements to their armour, training and defensive behaviour. The Roman Empire has lost citys all over their empire and have only a small region left.

For the first time, women are allowed to fight alongside the Nex Angelus.

You are one of the Nex Angelus who must kill off the Kings or Assassins of the other factions. But there is a high chance that the Squad will suffer deaths.

Armour/ Weaponry: 2 metal swords, 55cm long each. They are placed on Lanteri’s back. He also sometimes uses a long bow made of ebony. He wears light metal armour all over his body and has the Nex Angelus’s issued helmet, in shape of an angel.

 

Bio: Lanteri was born in Genoa, Italy in 445 A.D. He was raised by a wealthy family who hired a popular touter to help him learn his Latin. As he grew older, is father sent him to a combat school to learn how to use a sword, bow, spear, shield and able to withstand heavy armour. When Lanteri turned 9, he already was highly skilled in close-combat and long range combat. When he turned 10, he spoke Latin around his family, but English out of the villa. As he grew older, he learnt about stealth and his father than signed him up for the Nex Angelus at 15. He then was taught about night fighting and assassination. As he grew older, the Caesar favoured this warrior and than created the Nex Angelus to counter the strikes against the Roman Empire

 

Personality: Lanteri is a strict, but nice warrior, and is loyal to his Caesar. He cares about his battalion and thinks of plans to attack his targets.

Bio: Armendi was born in Venice, Italy in 457 A.D. He was raised by a military family. At a young age, is father sent him to a combat school to learn how to serve his country. By the time he was 10, he was one of the best in his class. At the age of 12 he learned the art of stealth. At the age of 14, Nex Angelus recruited him. To prove his loyalty to Nex Angelus he agreed to have their crest tattooed on his back. He then learned their style of fighting. Now at the age of 19 he is the commander of a squad of men.

Personality: Playful but focused. Loyal to Nex Angelus. Prefers to leave the major planning to his superiors but is willing to give his ideas when asked.

Bio: He was born in the village of Falacrine and worked on the farm growing crops and raising sheep for mutton and clothing as a child, developing muscles and a crude personality. He was raised pretty much on his own, his dad focused on the farm and his mom put to death for adultery. When the Roman army began searching for Nex Angelus members, he chose to ditch the farm life and become a hastati (I'm figuring you know, but for those who don't, the hastati were javelin warriors.) He was mainly trained to fight from the back with his pilum and bow and only use his dagger if out of spears and at a close range.

Personality: He is often described as crude, though he prefers the term 'farm breed.' He is sarcastic and rather mean to most, with only a few of his fellow soldiers protected by him. He is simple language wise, save for his elaborate curses, often shocking people with their detail. He cares little for Rome and only fights for the reason of wanting to feel the rush of battle.

 

 

 

 

The RP starts in a small village outside of Rome. Rebels are threatening the farming industry and are attacking the villagers. The Nex Angelus are the only available battalion, because the others are in Jerusalem.

Appearance: Xhavit were's what looks like a dark green monk habit (I'm saying looks like cos i don't think they had monks back then) with the hood always up. His physical features are the fact that he is modestly biult and has an angular face.

Birthplace: Aquilia

Armour/Weapons: Apart from his poisons and diseases that he knows how to master, Xhavit carries a two-handed Sythe, and a sicle. Both are rusted, but increadibly sharp and poisonus (2x main). He also carries heavy knifes (2x small). On his face, as a mask, he wheres a wilderbeast skull with the horns cut off. On the fore-head of the skull, he has an eye carved on. Under his habit-thing, he has leather armour.

Their were monks, but none never talk. I don't see the reason why you have a monk that will be part of the Nex Angelus? I don't like the app. Just think. Since when do "monks" "fight" along side the Romans in the last decade of the Romans?

1. Yes they do. Black outlines of the armor, and with white armor. THey are not seen in day nor night.

2. You have not read the plot if you need to ask, "what year is it?"

3. You have not read the rules proply.

2. You cant use long range engines in stealth missions. In the RP, we want to take them out quietly, not rain hell on them.

I awoke one night, know idea where I was, or what happened. Last I knew I was in the fiery depths of hell, but now I awoke as a young man in the middle of a cold, rainy street. I had no clothes on, but I saw some armor a little bit away. I put them on, but a brick fell from a tall, unstable building. The next morning I awoke in a truck, with men also in armor. They told me I was going to war, and there would be a punishment for my "running away". Apparently they thought because of the armor I was in the military. They would not believe me from what I told them happened. I was stunned. I went to war with any weapons I could find, not noing what happened, where I was, or what my name actually was. But 2 things I did know. They call me Shadow and I am in the Death Angels.

Just so you know, my character is from the Byzantine Empire, the Eastern Roman Empire that didn't get owned by barbarians.

 

Name: Numai Polyemon

 

Gender: Male

 

Appearance: 5' 11", muscular frame, pale skin. Numai has unruly dirty blonde hair that reaches his shoulders. His eyes are cheerful and jovial, as if they have not set themselves on anything troubling before. His usual outfit is a simple brown tunic and dark brown trousers. He is almost always seen with his grey horse, Protageton.

 

Birthplace: Constantinople

 

Armour/Weaponry: Numai is a Byzantine cataphract, a type of heavy cavalry completely covered in armour, making them excellent shock troops.

Armour consists of chain mail and scaled plate mail for both horse and rider.

 

Riders are armed with a contus pike, approximately four metres long and with an iron tip, wielded with both hands. In case if his loses his pike in a fight, he carries a mace as a side arm.

 

Bio: Numai was born to a well-to-do family in Constantinople. His family were merchants, but Numai didn't find economics interested and decided to join the Byzantine military. Numai fought as a cataphract against the Parthians right away due to having enough money to afford the armour, but was not satisfied with his pay. When he got word that Rome was hiring soldiers for a crack legion to hold of the Gauls and Celts and such, he decided to try is luck and join the Nex Angelus. They accepted him as a mercenary of sorts, paying him more that an average soldier in exchange for sharing Byzantine tactics.

 

Personality: Numai is quite cheerful and optimistic. Whenever there is a depressing situation, Numain would say something unrelated to break the mood, for better or worse. He's also a party-er, being able to hold his wine better than anyone else in the legion. Numai has a merchant's point of view in nationality, believing that divisions in the two Roman Empires is the only reason why the west is collapsing.
