The Hyper Beam beat against Gyarados and Gyarados submerged into the water and then rose to the surface. It was pronouced unable to battle. Brian returned it to it's pokeball and threw abother one out.

"Rise, Lapras," said Brian. "Let's get this over with, SHEER COLD, freeze the whole gym if it means hitting Absol."

Brian was risking everything he had on this one battle... but he did this with every battle. He thinks that if you don't give it all, why are you really battling?

"Absol, you have the advantage on speed, but you need to rest for just a little bit! Dodge around everything that Lapras throws at you, Don't let a single blow hit you!"

Absol obeyed to the best of his ability, but the attack was everywhere at once. It was increasingly difficult to dodge the attack... and he barly managed to do it for as long as he did, yet not without complete cost. All of the dodging had left him somewhat tired.

"Absol, use the move I taught you Thunder!"

Absol opened it's mouth and charged his attack, then let it fly, aimed at lapras to the best of his abilities in the weather the attack was making.

Moon was done feeding his pokemon and was back on duty to see a trainer standing at the door. "Oh! And who are you? Excuse me but I was on my break."

"I am Joey and I'm here to challenge you!"

"Well Joey, I'm Moon, I'm going to give you the honor of fighting me right now, so the public can see, any problems?"

"No, I'm fine with that."

"Good," Moon Stated, people began to gather around and the Moon called out, "Excuse me but my reff is sick today, does anyone know the rules of my gym well enough to reff?" A young teenage girl raised her hand and came up to state the rules

"The rules of the Logic gym are:

A Five on Five battle

Only the trainers may switch out their Pokemon

No items whatsoever may be used

First trainer to have all five Pokemon knocked out looses!"

"All right," Moon said, "Let's go!" Moon then threw out a Pokeball with Slowking inside.

"Let's do this!"

Joey sent out Jolteon. "All right then, Slowking, use Psychic!" Jolteon used Double team to dodge, Joleton used Thunderbolt! It's super effective! Slowking slowly got up from the attack. Slowking used Earthquake!? "A TM, I taught him it." It's super effective! Jolteon fainted!

"Allright! I choose you, Gyrados!" Gyrados used Dark pulse! It's super effective! Slowking fainted... a while later... "Moon Kage and his challenger are now down to their last Pokemon! Moon's Quagsire and Joey's Staraptor!" Quagsire used, Surf! And it hit! Staraptor used revenge! Quagsire is barley standing up! Quagsire used Rock Throw! It's super effective! Staraptor fainted! The battle goes to Moon!

"Sorry Joey, better luck next time!"

Bryce, Rotom, and Aikido were shivering in the cold, with Jeanie's egg becoming covered in a thin layer of frost, "T-t-Tempest, use Sunny Day, warm up the bleachers." Bryce commanded, sending out Tempest's Sunny Form to brighten and warm the area within seven feet square of Bryce, "G-good, now, dry off Jeanie's egg. Aikido, return." Bryce commanded, to which he earned Aikido's repeated thanks, though Rotom was still shivering, "Want to go in a ball too?" Bryce asked, taking an Ultra Ball off his belt, "You'll just need to let me capture you already." Rotom let out a huffed and then crossed his 'arms' "That's what I thought." Bryce said, adding Absol to the list of Akira's Pokemon, Leads with strongest Pokemon. Shows his preference to get battles done as fast as possible. Takes pride in his team. Appears to be a Dark type specialist. Recommendation based on potential and future type diversity.

"Not bad, but dodging all those attacks made you tired and slower," said Brian with a smile. "Lapras, send it back with double the power with Counter."

A forcefield rose up in front of Lapras as the electricity was about to strike. It struck the force field and recharged before it was sent back to the creator of the assault.

"It looks as though using a powerful attack didn't pay off in the long run, did it Akira?" asked Brian.

Nick saw a trainer walking around lost and he assumed that he was here for a gym challenge. Nick walked up to him and introduced himself to the confused trainer.

"Hi," said Nick. "My name's Nick and I'm Mosaic City's Pokemon Gym Leader. How can I help you?"

"My name is Leonard, and I'm here for a gym battle. I just started my journey, thought I do have quite the experience. So, what are the rules of this here gym? All out? One on One?" Leonard stopped and looked at a Poke-Ball on his belt.

Scott was sitting at his desk. "I don't know and I don't really care," he said irritated. "Does that answer your questions enough?" he asked, starting to become a pain in the arse. This was probably because he was annoyed at the moment, but who would have known?

"Absol stand still for a moment!" Akira shouted. Absol obeyed, getting a footing on the col ground and stood still, while the Thunder that had been sent back shot out in all directions and nearly hit absol by no more than an inch.

Akira let out a sigh of relieve. "Even though Thunder is a strong attack, it dose tend to miss a lot... though I do admit I got lucky there. Right then, Absol, make his lapras perish with Perish Song!"

Absol began to 'sing' the song that would make lapras faint in just a couple of minutes.

Brian saw what Akira was trying to do and commanded his Lapras to use the same move. As it was told, Lapras began singing the same song. Now it was just a battle of the voices to determine the winner of this round. And after a few minutes, both pokemon fainted, being unable to battle.

"Return, Lapras," said Brian. "You put up a good fight and deserve a good rest."

"Well, here at the Mosaic City Gym, the rules are 3-3," said Nick. "The first trainer to lose all three pokemon wins. Oh, and only the challenger can substitute his pokemon out."

"Returning your Lapras..." Akira sighed and brought out the pokeball that encased his Absol. "That is the smart thing to do, since they'd both be out in a few minutes anyways. That leaves only one pokemon left, and no room for error on my part. So I think the only pokemon apropriate to end this would be Mightyena. He's got the best shot now."

Akira reached into his pocket and pulled out the pokeball containing his Mightyena. He released him and waited for the gym leader brian to do the same.

Brian looked at Akira's last pokemon. Then he closed his eyes and looked down. Brian knew that there was only one pokemon that could do the job right. And that pokemon was his loyalist.

"Rise Swampert," said Brian. "Akira, no one has ever defeated two of my pokemon. And to obtain the Vapor Badge, you must defeat the one pokemon of mine that has never lost."

This was going to be epic.

"All right Swampert," Brian began. "In the water."

"Mightyena, you heard him. His pokemon has never lost a battle, ever." Mightyena turne to Akira and AKira looked at mightyena in the eye, smiling. "But how often have we faced trainers who've said that their pokemon coldn't be beat? Let's show him what we've got!"

Mightyena barked and turned back to the water.

"Now, wait for my signal and wait for them to go first, then we'll show 'em what we've got!"

Brian's smile grew bigger as time passed and nothing happened. Then out of the blue, an orange light was coming from the bottom of the pool. It fired up under Mightyena's platform and the platform started spinning.

"That's it Swampert," said Brian. "That's the way we do it. Stay under the water to stay hidden."

Akira gritted his teeth.

"That's how you want to play? Fine! Mightyena, dig under the water and find that swampert!"

Mightyena barked, jumped off of his platform to beside Akira, and began digging until it was under the floor and digging to under the pool.

"Now it's just a matter of who will find who. And sorry about your floor."

"Gotcha," said Brian. "Swampert, Whirlpool. There's no escape for a non water pokemon under water with my Swampert."

The water started turning and although Brian did feel sorry for all of his pokemon's victims, it was a gym battle and Brian always put everything on the line when it came to a battle. Even though this was the last round of the battle, Brian could tell this battle was going to be the best.

"That's the thing, he's not underwater, he's underground. And now, you've just given up the perfect oprotunity, because he knows exactly where your swampert is."

As Akira said this, his prediction came true. Mightyena burst through the floor of the pool and rammed into Swampert, but not without cost. As soon as he had ran into him, he was caught into the whirl pool it had created, t hough it wasn't as strong as before. Mightyena managed to get out of hte pool quickly enough, though it had made him a bit tired to do so.

"I predicted you would make that move. Alakazam, psychic." Jene said. The Alakazam then lifted it's spoons and then the Blastoise was lifted into the air, before being thrown into the wall, fainting it. "I win." And then her Alakazam went back into her Great Ball.

"Nice try though. Bye." She then walked away. If only there was somebody who could properly beat her, like that other person.

[OoC: Sorry for the delay]

The early morning sun shone on Kaiser City as the sleepy inhabitants arose for their morning rituals. Robert Castle was not one of them, throughout the night he'd been putting the finishing touches of the new Kaiser City Gym.

It was a Labrynth; a dark maze built for the purpose of confusing and delaying all but the truly worthy. Robert still had to find some trainers to battle him, once they cleared the maze that is.

Robert didn't want his prospective opponents to get so lost they couldn't get out, so he installed Security Cameras, and if any trainer wanted out, he'd see it, and show them the way.

Descending from the Gym room, he walked out the back door and into the early morning sunlight. Robert squinted harshly as the rays illuminated his eyes for a brief moment, before they re-adjusted, allowing Robert a good clear view of the local surroundings.

A small gathering had amassed outside the main gates, anxiously awaiting the Grand Opening. Robert purposefully took a slow walk down, hitching one of his pokeballs from his waist and tossing it up in the air and catching it.

Soon he reached the gates and made his speech. "Ladies and Gentlemen, Trainers of all ages. Welcome to the Kaiser City Gym, in a moment I will open the gates and allow you access to my Gym. I must ask that trainers give it their all in the upcoming battle with me, especially those looking for their Darkness Badge!" Robert said, showing the gleaming badge to the crowd, who oohed and aahed. "This badge will only be handed out to the victors though, so good luck." and with that, he opened the gates and stood aside as a handful of trainers made their way inside, anxiously awaiting their upcoming battle.

"Oh and one more thing." The trainers stopped dead waiting for the extra bit of information. "It's a maze in there, and if you get lost and want out, all you'll have to do is say so. I'll hear you and direct you to the exit."

With that, Robert made a dark chortle and walked inside the Gym and made his way to the Leader Battle Room, and sat down in a meditative trance, his four pokemon at his side. "Well, this is it, I don't know about you guys, but I'm stoked!"

"Tomb!"

"Haunt!"

"Doom!"

"Sabel!"

*Ping* "Oh that must mean a trainer has made it through, let's go meet our first victim." Robert returned his pokemon and allowed the lucky trainer access.

"Welcome to the Darkness Gym, I'm sure by now you know my name's Robert Castle, and its my duty to test your worthiness of the Darkness Badge. This will be a Four-on-Four battle, and neither of us can make any changes once our choices have been made."

The trainer nodded, releasing four weak normal-type pokemon. "Oh I'll win alright." he boasted loudly.

"Not really. Houndoom, end this in one hit. Fire Blast!" Robert called, and in one move all four of the opponent's monsters fainted. "Hey don't feel bad, become stronger and you may yet earn that Darkness Badge." He said to the crestfallen trainer, he then guided the trainer to the quick exit.

"You just can't throw a match, can you?" Dalcian asked Jene, walking through the corridors to the Psychic Duelist's room, "Sure, that guy with the Honchkrow yesterday managed to get passed you, but besides him, I haven't seen any action in months." The blind Ghost Duelist tapped his way around and hit the end of his cane on a statue, "Ah, you redecorated." He mused, sidestepping the decoration by the narrowest margin, "I really wish you'd tell me ahead of time, I could've walked headlong into that thing and broken my nose."

Bryce added Mightyena to Akira's Pokemon list Confirmed: Akira is a Dark type specialist. Must have a talk with him after the match. Rotom, having left the lawnmower and resumed his post on Bryce's shoulder, read over his notes on Akira and started shocking Bryce in Morse Code, the only way the Pokemon ever seemed to communicate, "Yes, I know I could beat this guy easily," He whispered so Akira and Brian couldn't hear, "But construction on the Pashu Battle Frontier's not gonna start for at least six months, so I've got that long, plus the time it takes to set up all the shops and everything else, before the new Frontier Brains are selected. Hush, I'm taking notes here."

"You'd have to be as blind as a bat not to see it." Jene replied.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot, you ARE as blind as a bat. I apologize. I foresaw you complaining just in time. And that guy with the Honchkrow was just pure luck he won. Perhaps I SHOULD warn you next time, or maybe you should have one of your Pokemon out just to point out what's in front of you and what's not."

"I may be blind as a bat, but I can still kick your ass." Dalcian told Jene, obviously joking, "That's why I'm the last member of the Elite Four, and you're the first." The blind Trainer shrugged, "But, hey, considering that we're the youngest Elite Four yet, I'd say arguing placement would be like arguing who hit the bigger jackpot in the lottery." He sniffed the air a couple times, "Shellfish and saltwater... Ah, one of Oak's proteges. I haven't fought one of those in a long while." He shrugged and checked his braille watch, "Huh, almost noon. Wanna go grab a bite to eat?" He asked, gesturing towards the door.

"Well, all right." Jene said.

"But still, it's only a matter of time until I become a higher Elite Four, like Bruno. He went from second to third. Ah...."

She paused to daydream before getting back to reality.

"Huh? Oh right, I was getting hungry anyway."

"Ya, or you could be like Lorelei and get booted out before advancing a single spot." Dalcian joked, walking to the door and holding it for Jene, having long since memorized how many steps it took to cross each Elite Four member's room, though he tapped his cane ahead of him in case he ran into another statue, "It's kinda sad though, don't you think? At 18 and 19 we're youngest Elite Four members ever, but between Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Isshu, there have been a half dozen ten-year-olds for Champions. Makes ya wonder if maybe we're just settling, huh? Maybe if we were around when Gauge took the Challenge, we'd still be lacking a Champion." He sighed and shook his head, "One of these days, if we keep getting these B Rank Trainers, I may have to go and challenge the Champion myself."

"You may have managed to get out of that one," began Brian. "But the funs just about to begin. Swampert, Double Team."

Brian's pokemon went from being one to ten at once. It managed to make copies of itself.

"There won't be any more surprises from you," said Brian. "HYPER BEAM!"

All ten water pokemon aimed their orange beams toward the dark wolf pokemon and fired.

"Mightyena, Jump!" Akira ordered, and Mightyena obeyed, jumping up in time to doge the beams, but the blast from them still sent Mightyena towards the wall. Mightyena put it's feet on the wall though and pushed off to give itself a safe landing.

"Mightyena, it has to rest now! Quickly! Giga Impact!"

Mightyena growled and charged towards Swampert, gaining speed as it's body began to glow faintly then brighter. Mightyena jumped up through the air and headed directly for Swampert's head.

TK had finally found the Pokemon Center in Mosaic City and sat down with his pokemon and ordered some food both for him and his pokemon. He looked down at Cyndaquil who wasn't eating at all and had a worried look on it's face. "Cyndaquil what's wrong why won't you eat your food?" TK went up to pat Cyndaquil but it turned its face and looked up to the ceiling and began glowing. "Cyndaquil what's up why are you... evolving?" TK looked shocked as Cyndaquil's form started changing he was shocked because he hardly battled with Cyndaquil and had only got Cyndaquil a few months ago. "Cyndaquil you've evolved!" TK hugged his new Quilava and smiled.
