Pokemon:Pashu Region [Started/Still Accepting]

Well seeing as how the water was now filled with static electricity, Brian knew diving in the water was out. But that wasn't going to stop Brian.

"Alright Milotic, we aren't going to hand then a victory," said Brian. "Time for the big freeze. Use Ice Beam to freeze the pool."

Milotic launched the cool beam down at the water and in seconds the water became frozen. Then in a flash, Milotic skated across the ice heading straight for Rotom.

Chris was laying besides the volcano resting when suddenly he recieved a phone call. "Huh? who could this be?" Chris picked up the phone and on it the word Father appeared his father was calling him. "Oh hello there father how are you, mother and TK doing?" Chris asked his father. "Oh everyone's fine here at Cherrygrove nothing exciting has been happening recently, and TK has left to start his Journey in the Pashu Region! I hope you two will meet up sometime and look out for one another." Chris' father replied while Chris had a stunned look on his face. "Father this region it is hardly unknown and not the best place for a young trainer such as TK to start a journey here!" Chris replied. "Yes, I know Chris but he has travelled all over Johto region and really wanted to explore a brand new region with new pokemon! More importantly he wanted to see you you know its been nearly 6 years since you two have seen each other. Besides he has Cyndaquil, Wooper and Flaaffy to protect him." "Father you must be joking! Pokemon such as Cyndaquil, Wooper and a Flaaffy cannot protect him here unless they have reached their full evolutions but that hasn't happened yet. Tell me where is he father?" Chris asked. "He should have just reached Mosaic City it should be safe their why you as--" Chris hung up on his father and Jumped on the back of his Charizard. "Charizard, fly me to Mosaic City we need to see my brother before he gets into any trouble." Charizard spread its wings and took off.

[Navras]

Akira walked around the town, trying to locate the gym but not having much success at all.

"This sucks... where is that stupid..." He looked over to his right (for the first time, he had been looking through the left side of town first) and saw the gym not far from where he was standing, the red ribbon still hanging down beside the door.

"Alright!" Akira said, running to the gym at a dead on sprint. He burst through the door and looked around for the gym leader, a smile beneath his brow, when he saw the battle already taking place.

"ah... He's... already got a challenger...?"

Akira sat down on the ground, sitting cross legged.

"Man, now I've gotta wait."

[Blackstone Dresden]

Bryce waited until Milotic was less than six inches from Rotom, "OK, Rotom, we've got this, now, use Leaf Storm!" He shouted, causing the lawnmower Rotom was possessing to rev to life and shoot a barrage of glowing leaves at the Water-type Pokemon. He looked over his shoulder and saw Akira, "Hey, Brian, you've got a guy actually going after the badge. Want to postpone this Battle so you can deal with this guy quick?"

 

Dalcian had made his way to the only restaurant on the island and sat down at the table they kept reserved for him, "Ms. Sato, good to see you're working today." He said, recognizing his waitress by her perfume, "I'll take my usual, thank you."

[Cthonian]

"Sounds good to me," Brian responded." Milotic, use Ice Beam to freeze the leaves and Iron Tail to shatter them."

The water pokemon did as it was asked and both pokemon came out alright. Brian set the water temperature high for a couple minutes so that the ice would defrost faster. Then he went over to his new challenger.

"What is it I can do for you?" Brian asked.

[Navras]

Akira stood up and faced the gym leder with respect.

"I've come for you daughter Chuck. By daughter I mean your gym badge. I'm this gyms first challenger... if he's not," he said pointing to the mystery man.

"My name is Akira, and I'm the shadow trainer."

[Cthonian]

"First of all, it's Brian," Brian began. "Secondly, your the 3rd challenger. And I know who you are... a friend of mine sent me your resume. I have to say that I was quite impressed and that I would be honored to have a battle with you. Joyce, please heal Milotic and the others to maximum energy."

The aide took Brian's pokeballs to the healing facility of the gym. Brian had a grin on his face that he hadn't had in a long time. He couldn't wait to have a battle with this trainer or his Shadow Pokemon team.

[Navras]

"Third challenger..." Akira asked with a blank and stunned look on his face. He slapped his hand to his forehead and said, "Now I just sound like an arrogant know-it-all! That's not how I want the shadow trainer to look!"

Akira sat back down on the floor and gripped both sides of his head, whispering to himself, "stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid mistake! Mistakes like that will lead to your downfall stupid!"

[Blackstone Dresden]

Bryce had whipped out a small notebook and was currently jotting things down. Trainer 1: Name: Unknown. Pokemon: Unknown. Defeated easily. No recommendation. Trainer 2: Name: Unknown. Pokemon: Ivysaur x3. Defeated easily, despite type advantage. No recommendation. Trainer 3: Name: Akira Pokemon: Shadow-- There was a decent sized space for Bryce to write down Akira's Pokemon, Appears to be mentally unbalanced. May just be an act. First Orre native encountered in Pashu. Recommendation? He looked down at his notebook, then at Aikido and Jeanie's egg, and finally at Rotom, "Sorry," He said to the latter, who was looking depressed, despite having possessed a lawnmower, which he always seemed to enjoy, "Look, buddy, we were just an exhibition match. This guy's actually after Brian's Badge. There's no way we can interrupt that." Rotom drooped, "Oh come on, you know you had him, he knows you had him. What does it matter that his Milotic was spared the embarrassment of defeat for another couple minutes?"

[Cthonian]

"Bryce, not now," said Brian as he shot an angry expression towards Bryce. Brian wasn't in the mood for criticism when this guy was the one guy that Brian had been looking foward to all day. All the battles he had today had been a warm up for this one battle.

"So Akira, what do you say?" asked Brian. "Are you ready for your gym battle?" Brian asked while looking down at Akira who was obviously struggling with himself.

[Navras]

Akira looked up at the gym leader and smiled shakily.

"As long as I dont' make any more stupid mistakes like that I am," Akira said, standing up.

"Before we begin, Can you tell me what pokemon this gym specializes in? I'm new in the region and I really dont know...."

[Cthonian]

"Here at the Chimara City Gym," Brian began. "We use water type pokemon. And if you're ready, go ahead and step into the challenger's box while Kevin explains the rules."

Both trainers stood in their boxes and Kevin began telling the rules to the challenger.

"This pokemon battle is about to begin," announced Kevin. "Each trainer may use 3 pokemon and only the challenger may substitute. The battle will be over when all of one trainers pokemon are unable to battle. If both trainers are ready, then let the battle begin."

Brian was all psyched for this one.

"Go Gyrados." said Brian.

The giant serpant pokemon appeared under water and rose to the surface.

[Navras]

"A gyrados huh?" Akira asked, looking at the mighty beast. Gyrados had always been one of his favorite pokemon... too bad he wasn't a dark type.

"I think the best match for him would be... Crawdunt."

Akira reached into his pocket and brought out the pokeball with his Crawdunt in it. He tossed the pokeball and Crawdunt appeared.

"Let's get this over with," Akira said to crawdunt. "Let's start off with a bang shall we? Hit him with blizzard."

Crawdunt raised up both of it's claws and opened it's mouth, shooting out icy blasts at the gyrados.

[Cthonian]

Brian's Gyrados got hit hard from the Blizzard, but this battle was far from over.

"All right Gyrados, time to bounce back," said Brian. "Attack using Thunder Fang."

Gyrados' two front fangs lit up and static electricity lit up and fired towards Crawdaunt at extreme speeds. You could actually hear the thunder shooting across the pool and heading for Akira's pokemon.

[Navras]

Craudaunt was hit with the Gyrados' attack, being unable to dodge it.

"I know it hurts now, but he's close, he's latching on to you! Crunch him!"

Craudaunt reached up with both of it's claws and gripped them on Gyrados' throat, squeezing hard.

'I just might win this battle with Crawdaunt,' Akira thought cockily. "I know he won't go down without a fight easily if nothing else.'

[Cthonian]

"Your Crawdaunt is very strong," said Brian with respect and then he grinned. "But you don't know Gyrados. Alright Gyrados, turn up the voltage and don't let go."

The attacks from both pokemon were so powerful that waves were going crazy in the gyms pool. Brian could only think "Man, this is just the begining." Even the lights that were hanging from the ceiling were rocking. This was one heated battle.

[Navras]

Akira gritted his teeth. He knew that his Crawdaunt wouldn't last much longer, he had to do something and do it fast.

"Enough toying around with it," Akira said. "You won't last much longer. Break out the guillotine."

Crawdaunt gave a cry of delight with the permisson to use his favorite move. It let go of gyrados' throat with one claw, then clamped down onto it again, this time using Guillotine instead of Crunch."

'Please work...' Akira thougth to himself.

[~Kip~]

Leonard an Charizard went on to Mosaic City, a smotth ride from there. Well, not perfectly smooth, but smooth...

 

10 MINUTES AGO

 

"To protect the world from..." started a weird lady in red hair and a uniform with an R on it. Leonard was sick and tired of these people following him for the past 3 minutes. "Charizard, Flamethrower." Leonard's obedient Charizard breathed a flaming-hot blaze onto the lady. She was sent flying, while yelling "I'm blasting off again!"

 

Now, Leonard finally reached Mosaic City. "So, I hear there's a Grass-type gym here... I know I'm already using Butterfree, Pidgeot, and you Charizard. But now you need rest, so return." Charizard was willingly sucked into the Poke-Ball. Leonard walked into the Pokemon Center to grab something to eat. After, he went to the gym.

 

"Hello?" he yelled, not being able to wait.

[Blackstone Dresden]

Bryce nodded and continued writing in his notepad, Crawdaunt demonstrates an uncanny ability to resist Electric-type moves. Probably a result of careful breeding or a vitamin enriched diet. Show's trainer, on some level, has a high amount of respect and cares deeply for his Pokemon. Also displays a large amount of arrogance and cockiness. May indeed be too stubborn for his own good. Recommendation given pending further review. Bryce's attention was then directed back to the battle by Rotom, Crawdaunt's knowledge of the Move Guillotine shows that Akira's unafraid to rely on luck. Must introduce to Lucy.

[Navras]

Akira looked over at Byrce and saw that he was writing something.

'What's he writing over there?' Akira wondered. 'Wasn't he suposed to be a reporter or something? No, no, he was a recruiter or something. Maybe he's taking notes... heh, imagine that, him taking notes from me... no, no, I'm not that good, at least not yet. So what is he writing?'

[Blackstone Dresden]

Bryce looked up at Akira, mostly because he was talking to himself and sighed, Crawdaunt's determination proves to be a stark contrast to Akira's personality. Candidate is too easily distracted and has a habit of talking to himself. Runs the risk of giving his strategy away to his opponent. Recommendation still given, though Akira will need to improve his concentration if he ever wishes to become a Frontier Brain. Training with Brandon and Nolan recommended. He pulled out a strange device, vaguely resembling a Pokedex, and flipped the cover so that it was L shaped with a small camera-like eye pointed at Crawdaunt. Bryce pressed a single button, flipped the machine closed, and jotted another line down in his notebook, Further training needed. Recommendation stands based on potential.

[Cthonian]

"That's a nice try, but you will fail," said Brian. "Gyarados, use Waterfall to create a giant wall of defense."

Water shot up from the pool to form a barrier between the two water pokemon. Crawdaunt's attack hit the water and when the wall of water disappeared, so had Gyarados. Crawdaunt was left going in circles trying to find it. Brian grew a grin across his face.

"Alright Gyarados, time for the finale," said Brian. "Now that your free, send Crawdaunt outta here. TWISTER!"

Gyarados started spinning under the platform and all around the platform emerged a water tornadoe. The platform wobbled and then it was airbourne. This was a site to see.

[Navras]

Akira watched as his Crawdaunt was sent up into the air.

"Enough," Akira said, reaching into his pocket and taking out his pokeball. "Crawdaunt has had enough. Get back here now." Akira raised the pokeball and made Crawdaunt return to his pokeball.

"That's one down. But I've still got plenty more. I think it's time that I use..." Akira thought about it for a moment, rustling through his pokeball pocket.

"Absol. Yeah, Absol should finish this off."

[Cthonian]

"If you think a change of pokemon will save you, you have another thing coming," Brian said grinning. "Gyarados, whip us up two more twisters. I want Absol to not be able to move and it's attacks to be repeled."

Brian's pokemon did as it was told and two more tornadoes appeared out of the water. And in the middle was Gyarados calm as if nothing was happening.

"Alright Gyarados, use Whirlpool to send them to Absol," said Brian.

The water kept turning and it sent the whirlpools to Absol.

[Navras]

"Absol, don't you dare let those whirlpools touch you."

At his command, Absol dodged around the whirlpools and twisters that were being sent at him, but just slightly.

"I'm through with playing around. Crawdaunt was the first pokemon that ever evolved with my training alone. When he loses I don't tend to take it lightly. Absol!" Akira shouted over the sound of the twisters and whirlpools.

"Get a clean shot, make sure to get nice and close, then use Hyperbeam!"

Absol did as he was commanded, dodging around the whirlpools and slowly getting closer and closer to Gyaradose. When he was no more than teen feet away, Absol began charging up the hyper beam.

"Don't let anything touch you as long as your'e charging!"
