-Griffin
seattleite:Eh... It'd be just as easy to get it out with Treeborn or something. The 400 ATK is nice-ish, but nothing fantastic. A very specific Summon card isn't, IMO, going to make this tier 2ish. Ooraloo:tl;dr: pay 1000, Free Tribute Summon 1 monster from your hand and setup the Graveyard. If you get Excel, it's any 2 effects, which is very nice. It also works with other cards that I could see there, Wyvern/REDRUM for example. It's interesting in that it's splashable... With the whole thing being a Tribute Summon, and able to work on anything including L&DD, I see this as probably most dangerous in monarchs... It's definately a contender for winning, but I'm uncertain. Frex:Run @3 with Ragnarock, REDRUM and Wyvern. Divine Hopeless could be fun. This is probably my favourite so far. M.B X:Again, lots of REDRUM mill possible here. it's just not as useful as Frex's, so won't be taking a prize. the-french-bishamonten:Upside: Tribute itself, 2500 ATK beater minimum. Downside: Risk dead draw Excels, cannot attack.Being a Fairy hurts things. I was kind of hoping that someone would make something treated as Excelion in the Graveyard. It's definately usable, IMO. Does it take it to T2?... I personally feel that, by being a Fairy, it holds it back on a possible Solidarity build, and any other possible support for the Type... It's a hard call, but this seems less dead-draw-y than Frex's, so I'll give it the current winner. Klavier Gavin:I don't see this as very consistent at all. Even with Sangan and maybe Shining Angel, I expect it'd be dead from time to time and isn't nearly enough to push it far enough. Skyson:Without FuFu or some serious self-mill, by which I mean cutting down to the last 4 cards in your Deck, this is unlikely to be activated =s The concept is great, but it's not supported enough to be consistent. wero-vasto:Definately somewhat viable. Needing only a single Excel and even working with King Dragun is nice (although I wouldn't run Fusion Subs or Lord of D here, so no Dragun). I personally don't see much use in the last effect, but the Summon is really nice by giving setup. Hard, but I'm still giving french the win, with a rep to vasto and Frex because they're so close.[/judging]
