RedRecker
As part of my new set ive been trying to make some female cards but im a bit stuck on how to get them to work. So far ive come up with the idea of using counters so far named "Seduction Counters" and "Attraction Counters". Im wondering if using two sets of counters for one set of cards would be too difficult, im just trying to think of something more unique. Here was one ive done so far with the following. Female - AicayaLevel 5WATER Aqua-Type/ Effect2000/1800When this card is summoned place 3 Attraction Counters on this card ("Female" monsters cannot be attacked by Warrior-Type monsters as long as they have an Attraction Counter on them). Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can remove 1 Attraction Counter from this card to place 1 Seduction counter on a monster your opponent controls. All monsters with Seduction Counters are switched to Defense Position. Im also confused with the bit i put in brackets. I want it to be a general rule for female monsters but do i really need to write it out on every card? Link to comment
JasonZ
Huh... It's on "Alien" monsters, so I guess that's OK. However, try something else to distinguish them. I mean, using the set part "female" is rather sexist. Just a suggestion. Link to comment
Holy R. Enigma
At least this set is better than "The other Topic" that was locked. I don't really know about this set but I would say go with everyone's else's advice though. Link to comment
Natedog2001
not bad i hope to see the cards when you make them Link to comment

dark_magician_girl
Priestess, Amazoness/Amazon, Maiden, Matron, Vixen, Seductress, Temptress, Damsel, Empress, Mistress, & Lass those are all (for the most part) non offending names for a person of the female persuasion, like myself, i hope that it helps because calling the cards "Female -" and then adding a name is a bit offending.... you could even call the feminine cards saints as most people associate saint with Saint Joan the yu-gi-oh card or Joan of Arc who became a saint.... Lucas Maximus
yes much better then the other topic you posted :p and i dont think that would be a half bad idea. Get working on it, and good luck with your set. Link to comment
RedRecker
What do you mean by "the other topic i posted"?Also Im still a bit confused with this whole female being sexist thing (doesn't make sense to me) but if thats really what you all think then ill change it. Ive had a look on the net and ive come up with 2 ideas but im going to ask you all first. They are "Lady" and "Beauty". If these 2 dont cut it then ill just quit it. The other suggestions either just dont work, or in my opinion are far more sexist then the word female. Link to comment

RedRecker
Ok, well at the moment I haven't yet changed the name for the Set of these cards, and after having a discussion into the "sexism" of this word with my mother (who is indeed female), I see no reason why i cannot use the word female. Please people, before you reply to this understand that being sexist is clearly not my intention and I am entitled to my opinion. The word female is quite simply the scientifically accurate term for a person bearing XX chromosomes. I fail to see any sexism in the word from such a meaning and am saying this is grounds on which I see it acceptable to use. I think you may be being a bit quick to judge or over sensitive to what may or may not be "politically correct" in this day and age. Finally, Im making a set of trading cards (and imaginary trading cards at that). So, before we become too quick to judge and point the finger and then needlessly debate about it afterwards, please remember I am here simply because, like you, I enjoy Yugioh and enjoy making my own cards. Ok, sorry to many of you who may disagree with the above but, hey, let's face it, we can't agree on everything. Also to finish, I don't think I have been rude or unreasonable in the above statement and I am not seeking to insult any of you, but merely for you to see my opinion. Now before this topic becomes nothing but a very card-free debate about the "sexism" of the word female, i will show you the rest of the set i have made (anyone still wishing to carry this on can pm me). So without further adue: Female - Angel MayaLevel 6Fairy/Effect LIGHT2300/1500When this card is summoned place 1 Attraction Counter on it. Remove 1 Attraction Counter to acitvate 1 of the following effects:- Increase the ATK of all "Female" monsters you control by 200 points (excluding this card).- Increase the DEF of all "Female" monsters you control by 300 points (excluding this card). Female - AngelaLevel 6Warrior/Effect LIGHT2400/1650When this card is summoned place 1 Attraction Counter on it ("Female" monsters cannot be attacked by Warrior-Type monsters as long as they have an Attraction Counter on them). Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can discard 1 card from your hand. If you do, increase your Life Points equal to the amount of Battle Damage done to your opponent by this card, this turn. Female - Ann BonnyLevel 6Warrior/Effect WATER2350/1150When this card is summoned place 1 Attraction Counter on it ("Female" monsters cannot be attacked by Warrior-Type monsters as long as they have an Attraction Counter on them). Remove 1 Attraction Counter from this card to randomly select 1 card from your opponent's hand and add it to your own. If you play the card, take 1000 damage. If you don't play the card by your third End Phase after activation discard it from your hand and take 1000 damage. Female - Anne Dieu le VeutLevel 8Warrior/Effect LIGHT3000/2100You can Tribute any number of monsters on your side of the field to Tribute Summon this card. Place 1 Attraction Counter on this card for each "Female" monster used in the Tribute Summon. Increase the ATK of all "Female" monsters by 100 for each Attraction Counter on this card (excluding this card). When this card is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon up to 2 Level 4 or lower "Female" monsters from your Graveyard. Female - AquariusLevel 4Aqua/Effect WATER300/2100When this card is summoned place 3 Attraction Counters on it ("Female" monsters cannot be attacked by Warrior-Type monsters as long as they have an Attraction Counter on them). Reduce the DEF of this card by 300 for each Attraction Counter on it. During each of your Standby Phases, increase your Life Points by 100 points for each Attraction Counter on this card. When this card would be destroyed, remove 1 Attraction Counter from it. Female - Artifical MaidenLevel 4Machine/Effect LIGHT200/2000When this card is summoned place 1 Attraction Counter on it. This card cannot be attacked by Machine-Type monsters. During each of your Standby Phases, place 1 Seduction Counter on each Machine-Type monster your opponent controls. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can remove all Seduction Counters from a Machine-Type monster to take control of it until the End Phase. Only that monster can attack and it cannot be Tributed in the turn you activate this effect. Female - BansheeZombie/Effect DARK1800/1500When this card is summoned place 3 Attraction Counters on it ("Female" monsters cannot be attacked by Warrior-Type monsters as long as they have an Attraction Counter on them). Remove 1 Attraction Counter from this card to destroy 1 non Zombie-Type monster on the field. If the destroyed monster had a Seduction Counter(s) on it, you may place Seduction Counters on an opponent's monster equal to the amount on the destroyed monster. You cannot attack in the turn you use this effect. Thats all I can post for now. It's getting very late where I am and I've wasted too much time with all that rambling on above. I look forward to hearing your opinions on the cards and their effects. They've been quite tricky to work out.I thank you all for your patience, understanding and help. Link to comment
