Andx
Corinne got back into the elevator with Shu. Shu proved he was okay rather quickly so Corinne stopped aiding him walk quickly as well. The person they were supposed to stop moved very quickly, thankfully so did the elevators. Upon arriving at the top Corinne began to scan the are for Samus."Say Shu, think we should come up with some sort of strategy this time? It seems she thinks on the fly rather well so if we don't have some stable attack strategy we probably won't get very far." Corinne said as they stepped out of the elevator.--------"Wait, you're telling me this is part of some war? Some big giant war between light and darkness?" Marina said. She let out a bit of a laugh at the idea."I gotta say, that was pretty funny! Light and darkness, what does that matter? Why would either one want me? Why would your friend care to kill himself to get me away from the darkness? Nothing changes if one or the other takes over. Just like nothing changes if people do what's right or what's wrong. Sounds to me like you guys are getting caught up in a rather stupid affair. Still... I might be willing to help if there was enough compensation for me. But then again, you're the light guys meaning hiring someone would be against your morals or something like that. Right?! Whatever. If you're willing to send me back to where I was, that's all that really matters to me." Marina said. She found the whole situation rather comical. PrimalFear
Hayate was standing against the side of a rock wall, as he peered around the jagged sides of the rock wall he could see a few people in the distance conversing. This was not Hayate's first mission and as the leader of his home races Assassins task force he was ready for anything to happen. Though this current mission was only suppose to be a recon mission. "This is Hayate reporting in," he spoke softly and in a very low tone into a mic, "The targets are within sight and am waiting for them to engage." Hayate stepped out from behind the rock wall, his arm brushing along the moist moss that grew up along the side of the wall. Instead of heading closer to the targets Hayate walked casually across the path toward a store in his humanoid form to not raise any alarms. As Hayate reached out to grab a couple fruits from the basket at the store Hayate heard a scream coming from the vicinity his Targets where in. "What the hell is this?" One of the targets shouted. All at once a surge of black like smoke came up from the ground and their was a dark ring below Hayate's targets. Out of the hell like ring two armed creatures appeared and looked to be well armed and ready for a fight. Hayate reached with his right arm for the sword that lay on his back, in that instant the creatures had all ready started to attack his two Targets, "s*** if I don't move now I wont be able to gain the information my brother needs." Hayate charged at the creatures with his hand still on the handle of his blade, upon landing behind the first creature Hayate drew his sword in a blink of an eye slicing at the first creatures back, with a long deep stroke. Landing on the ground behind the creature he knelt down and with a swift leg sweep the creature was laying on it's back with Hayate's blade right at it's throat. Shadow Zero
The creature reached up and grabbed Hayate by the throat saying "That was far easier then I expected. Now you die." the creature was about to break Hayate's neck when there was a bright flash of light and Hayate disappeared. Next moment, he was standing in the Great Temple on Aether. The creatures, growling at their failed mission went to turn their attention to the ones that they had used as bait, but they were already long gone. Growling deeply in their throats, they dissolved into the darkness once more, heading back to report their failed mission and await whatever consequences were to be dealt out to them. Samus arrived in the upper level of the Great Temple and rolled along the perimeter wher she could stay in shadow so as to not be noticed. She then reverted to her normal armor appearance and cursed what she saw. Marina was there, talking to the very person she had come to see. For now, she guessed that she would have to wait and bide her time. The room would be empty soon enough. Shu silently walked over to the elevator and pressed the button that would bring it back down. "We don't have the time to strategize. For all we know, she could be targeting Lumina! We have to make sure that he's safe first." As soon as there was a big enough gap, he used his boot mounted jets to fly to the upper level of the Great Temple and heade straight over to Lumina before landing on the ground. So she isn't here yet. Good, that gives us some time at least. He then noticed Marina standing as if waiting for something and says "Who are you?" Andx
Before Lumina had time to answer Marina's comments, someone else had addressed her. Marina didn't particularly care for how she had been yelled out. But then, she wasn't one to press manners in other people as she lacked them herself. While looking over Marina took notice of two people, one male, the other female. The male had been the one to address her."Marina Abendroth if it means anything to you. Now then boy without any manners, care to introduce yourself before you continue yelling at me?" Marina said. There was a mocking tone to her voice that showed she wasn't really concerned with what happened around her but she also enjoyed messing with other people too.--------Corinne wasn't too sure what had been going on. As they had gotten up to the temple where they had left Lumina, they saw no sign of Samus. Now instead, another woman was speaking with Lumina it seemed. Shu had called out to her and from the woman's response, Corinne wasn't too sure she was going to like this Marina woman. It wasn't that she sounded evil, but that she sounded uncaring. Like someone could die in front of her and she wouldn't care in any way."Where's that other woman? She's not around. She has to be around here somewhere. Keep looking." Corinne thought. She figured if Shu was focusing on Marina then she should focus on finding Samus.
Shadow Zero
Shu responded by saying "Well excuuuuse me Princess, but I don't remember you exactly radiating an aura of politeness. Besides, I'm currently tracking someone, so mind that you don't get in the way." With that, Shu begins searching the upper level of the Great Temple, growing closer to where Samus was hiding. Samus knew that she could not continue hiding. There were only two options left now. Fight her way out, or appeal to their more peaceful side. Choosing the latter, she Activates the Dark and Light Armor functions as she steps out of her hiding place. "Lumina, we need to talk."
Andx
"Someone's a bit of a hothead it seems. And what with that language? "Radiating an aura of politeness"? That's too rich." Marina said quietly. Shu had mentioned something about looking for someone and then out of nowhere Samus showed up and wanted to talk with Lumina."Well isn't this funny? Ms. "leave me alone and go the opposite direction I do" ended up following me! You guys are all nuts you know that! You're all caught up in some stupid conflict that doesn't even concern you! It shouldn't even be happening in the first place! That's it, I want off the crazy train if you don't mind. If this thing can take me home then hurry up and make it happen!" Marina said, losing her patience.--------Corinne knew she didn't like Marina all that much as she continued talking. Shu quickly turned his focus from her to finding Samus again. And before anyone knew what was happening, Samus had appeared. Corinne was quick to react. She ran over to Lumina and stood in front of him. She drew her sword and kept her eyes fixed on Samus. She claimed to only want to talk but Corinne couldn't be sure."Shu! I've got Lumina covered! If she does anything more than talk just be sure to get in her way!" Corinne called out. She started thinking of how they might go about fighting Samus if it actually happened. Corinne figured her magic had a wide enough area of effect to catch Samus up in it but she couldn't be sure. Right now though, she just had to watch as the situation between Lumina and the two odd woman visitors unfold.
Shadow Zero
Samus growled, this time quite audibly as she continues onwards towards where Lumina was. "My business is not with you. Out of the way." As she walks forward, her visor flashes as though about to unleash a devastating blast of energy. She then turns her attention to Lumina himself and says "This planet is oddly unaffected by the darkness that is plaguing galactic civilization. I've been sent here to verify as to whether or not this planet is the source. If it is, or the source is on this planet, I am to find and terminate it, at all costs." As she spoke, Samus's unseen gaze turned towards the portal behind Lumina. She did not move her head, so nobody would know that she had shifted her gaze. Upon her finishing what she had to say, Shu turned to Samus and said You have no right to be here. Leave, before I am forced to make you." Lumina quickly turns to Shu and motions for him to be quiet, before he causes more harm then good. Falling silent but switching to his Shadow Form, Shu waited to see what would happen, and was ready to step in if needed. Lumina then turned to Samus and said "The source is not here. However, history does appear to be repeating itself. Could you perhaps be descended from the first hunter, Samus Aran?
PrimalFear
"What in god's name just happened Hayate asked himself," as he picked himself of the floor in a temple like building he was not familiar with. "Was I just transported? How and for what reason?" Hayate had gotten to his feat and the sounds of comotion and a bit of arguing was hear from across the room. "So these people never even noticed me huh?" Hayate placed his sword back in it's sheath behind his back with a bit of force, the steal guard hiting the metal edging of the sheath with a bang, hoping to announce his presence before heading over their. Hayate approached the group of people who where now all looking at him quite weird as if to say where the hell did you come from. Hayate kinda hesitated at first but managed to speak up, "If it is much of a bother I'd like to know who you are and why I have been teleported to this location" Hayate had a slight grin on his face but it was more for the point that he new he had just failed his mission. Andx
Regardless of how threatening Samus was trying to sound, Corinne didn't move an inch from in front of Lumina. She held her sword in front of her ready to guard any attack Samus might make. Of course, it seemed they were only going to be talking. Lumina then mentioned something about a Hunter. And then to top matters off another person had showed up and he was trying to figure out what was going on."Lumina, I think it would be best if you be the only one to talk for a bit. There seem to be three separate situations here not counting Shu and myself and they all require your knowledge." Corinne. To be sure she had questions as well but she was going to be around longer and would have other opportunities. The situations with Samus and Marina needed to be cleared up before anything got violent.--------"This is great. Even more people showing up here. And know the one person who can send me back is going to get caught up in explaining things. Great." Marina thought. Though she couldn't stand the situation she knew she'd have to wait for all the situations to be resolved before she'd be going back. Knowing that Lumina would probably be talking a fair bit she began walking over towards Hayate, hoping he might make for a bit better conversation."Hey there. Welcome to crazy town. The current population is: The rude boy, the girl, the angry female robot, and the glowing light guy. Oh, let's not forget me and you now. You might as well find a seat, I sense a huge explanations of all this nonsense coming up." Marina said to Hayate.
Shadow Zero
Lumina was about to answer when there was a giant quake that shook all of the Great Temple, as well as the Temple Grounds. The Light of Aether turned dark and become a seething mass of dark blue and dark purple instead of its normal bright golden yellow light. Within it appeared the face of a man, the most terrifying face imaginable. Everyone could only stare in shock as it opened its mouth and spoke. "Well Lumina, I see that you have been gathering forces of your own. It matters not. The Darkness shall consume the light!" Lumina scowled and raised a hand shouting "Not as long as I draw breath!" Scowling equally at Lumina, the man says "We shall see soon enough, but you shall be dead long before me. As the man spoke those last words, the Light of Aether suddenly returned to its normal color and all of the interdimensional portals were fried. repairing them would take some time. Until then, everyone was stranded there. Shu Chinen growled and took on his Human Form, caused pieces of metal to separate from the floor by using the secret art of metal bending. "So you were their advance scout!" He yelled as he made a throwing motion with his arms and caused all of the metal to be hurled at Samus all at once. Samus avoided the attack by somersaulting up and back, the sharp edges on the side of the left arm of her armor catching on the wall and holding her in place. Aiming her arm cannon at Shu, she fires several missiles at him. At the moment that things were falling apart in the Great Temple on the planet Aether, Chaos Zero was striding along on another planet in a dark universe. He had just disposed of all of those worthless minions who couldn't even carry out a simple task of assassination, and was currently heading for the one who had been assigned to lead the Army of Darkness. Strange, that a child should lead us. Still, it is the Dark General that issued the order, so I suppose there's no choice.
Sploda
Zane had just finished with a job when he felt a call. "So the General has finally found a use for me. It is about time..." Zane sat up from the bench in the room that was where he ha fought his opponent. he wasn't much of a challenge, he just had a lot of explosive attacks. Zane walked out and looked up and wondered; Who will be the leader. I can feel it, others will be there as well. Perhaps I may finally find a challenge. Zane then began to walk, he was walking toward an impending war.
Jake the Sage
Holding the throat of a struggeling hero tightly, his grip not loosening for even a second, Sammael looked to the sky as a sensation washed over his entire being. He had been waiting for this day. Oh yes he had been waiting a very long time. His entire being was, for once, given chills as the thought of what was to come danced through the twisted corridors of his conciousness; so delightful he had been that without knowing it he had snapped the fallen hero's neck like a twig. Throwing the dead man, for he was no longer super in any fool's eyes, into a brick wall Sammael covered himself in shadows and vanished, "הגיע הזמן... תן הכאוס כלל כל"
Andx
Corinne wasn't sure what to think of the situation as it suddenly went from confusing to bad. Some voice had started speaking as if was the leader of the darkness. Lumina's response seemed to enforce that idea. Not to mention that all the light on the planet had momentarily become darkness as the voice spoke. And right afterwards, Shu and Samus resumed fighting. Corinne maintained her position in front of Lumina as she wasn't sure on what else she could do."What all is going on here?" Corinne said under her breath.--------The appearance of some dark figure in the sky had been a bit shocking, even to Marina. The face was frightening to look at and Marina quickly stopped staring at it. Then it and Lumina had a few exchanges and like that, the face was gone and the light of the area returned."Something is really not right here. Why did I have to get caught up in all this nonsense?" Marina thought. And like that Samus and Shu were fighting."Am I really the only sane one here?" Marina thought. All she could do was wait for her portal to be ready. Though she had no idea they were in no condition to be used now.--------Lazare hadn't really been doing anything for a bit now. He hadn't received any order from the Dark General in awhile. And while others often went off on their own to do things, Lazare wasn't exactly motivated enough to go spread darkness anywhere without being ordered to. Though something had definitely happened. It seemed like a mass amount of darkness had done something not long ago. Lazare had a feeling he'd be getting an order rather quickly."So what's today going to be? Destroy a planet? Overrun a town?" Lazare thought as he waited and relaxed.
Shadow Zero
Chaos Zero was passing by Lazare and stopped short. At first he did nothing, as if expecting Lazare to understand why he had stopped. He then aimed an arm cannon just beneath Lazare and fired a ball of energy at the area immediately beneath where he was loafing around. After it had hit and the explosion had dissipated, he growled and said "Didn't you feel the summons? We're expected, and not showing up my well cost you your life." Having given the warning he felt that was necessary to give, Chaos Zero continued moving on, leaving Lazare to make his own decision. He personally didn't give a damn, he just didn't want to be blamed for Lazare's tardiness, as the consequences would be most severe.
Sploda
"You shouldn't be so harsh, Zero." Zane said as he walked up next to him. Zane always felt a certain need to bug Chaos Zero, even though it provided no pleasure. Then again nothing really did. "You know, I think this time might be a little different. Perhaps this time the chosen warriors of light might actually prove to be a challenge." Zane wondered aloud. He doubted it but he could still sense something was different. Shadow Zero
"Oh please, did you forget what happened the last time the supposed chosen warriors of the light had appeared?" Chaos Zero scoffed and turned his thoughts to that last encounter. He had turned into a giant mass of dark flames and completely obliterated his enemies. Not only that, but a mass of armies had also been summoned to deal with the other nuisances. He honestly didn't understand why the Luminoth just didn't give up along with the other pitiful creatures and just roll over and die. And then there was what the others had done. With their combined might they had crushed the enemy resistance. What could they possibly have this time that they didn't have the last?
Andx
"Yes, not much happened last time. They were crushed all too easily. But this time as Zane says could be different. There must be a resolve among these new warriors that those in the past did not possess." Lazare said. He then stood up and seemed a bit more focused than usual. Though it may have seemed like he hadn't been paying attention, his answer to Zero's question proved that idea wrong."To come together after the darkness has shown so much strength across the universe, these warriors must be truly driven. And truly strange things can happen when you give the light determination. That's why we're always at work; to crush hope and bring despair to those of the light. Then, like you've brought up, they'll fall easily. So I suppose that's what we're to go about doing now. We need to destroy this resolve these new warriors have formed before it becomes an empowering force to the light in general." Lazare said. With that he seemed to zone out again, as if focusing on the world for too long was too troublesome to bother doing.
Sploda
"Don't forget. The scouts report that they are stronger than those before them. A scout's opinion yes, but one of our best scouts none the less. We lost contact until moments ago." Zane finished off, "They are most likely stronger than the previous heroes. Not that it will do them any good against us." Zane then began to walk ahead of the others. "I'll see you when you arrive." With that he became silent and walked into the distance. The fun is about to begin.
Tempest Dahlia
"Solve equation... if y equals x in all instances and the square root of one thousand would only give me one-one hundreth of x or y..." A mysterious child muttered in strange riddles to himself as he huddled over a large board, full of written equations that was hardly decipherable. All day he sat, muttering to himself as enchanted pencils darted across the board, writing and erasing, never ceasing, not even for a second. A humanoid shaped, ebony colored demon loomed over the boy, gazing at the back of him as he silently stared at the board. It, too, was silent, leaving the boy to his work was of utmost priority. No matter how long it took, the time would come where these times of strangeness would mean something. Suddenly, the boy jumped up, a bewildered look on his face. He slowly turned to face the demonic being behind him. He seemed to have trouble breathing. "A-A-Alastor...!" But the demon already knew what that look meant. It was time to act, finally. Alastor bent slightly and scooped the boy from where he was standing. He cradled the boy within his arms and spoke in a soft, deep voice. "You have done your part, Kousei.... now it is time that you let me handle the rest... you are still too young to solve this on your own... I will shroud you in the darkness, and the rest of the world will soon follow. For now, you must rest. Sleep now, son... " By this time, the child named Kousei was already sound asleep, due to the exhausting hours of work he had been doing. Alastor suppressed a smile as the dark mist around them began to deepen, until the demon vanished with the boy still in his arms.
Final Fantasy Revolution
Meanwhile while in the forests of Aether An arrow swooped down from atop a big tree and speared through a boar's head that was just on the ground below the archer. The archer managed to hit the boar directly in the nerve center of the brain so it couldn't feel any pain just before it died. The archer jumped down from the tree and removed her hood, it was a young woman who had taken down the beast with just one shot. "I am sorry gentle forest creature I shall not waste anything from your corpse for even in death you are as useful as you were when living." The woman said as she picked up the small boar, it was only twenty six pounds so it was easy for her to bring it back to her place of dwelling. "Mother, father, we will dine on swine meat tonight!" Her parents were proud that she respected the forest so much and they new they had to make her leave and see the real world for what it is... ~~~ Meanwhile, somewhere unknown in the darkness Vayne drifted into the darkness of the "sky" of the dark world, something he often liked to do when waiting for something to happen. Suddenly, he flipped down to the ground of the world of darkness and shouted as loud as he can so everyone within the world could easily hear it. Vayne starting rushing to where the Dark General was and made his presence known by bowing. "When do we get to see some action? I'm tired of just sitting here and doing nothing!" Vayne said to the general and then waited for a response...
Shadow Zero
"Che, you call those minions 'scouts'? I had some of them sent on a mission earlier and they couldn't even carry out simple assassinations. You would think that being scouts, even if only a few, they would exercise their rankings amongst the others who were warriors and scout out the surrounding area before attacking. Morons couldn't even do that. Needless to say I had them all killed for their failures." Chaos Zero knew that the Dark General disliked it when his men were killed needlessly. Fortunately for him, the one thing that the Dark General disliked even more was failure, and so wasn't bothered about anything happening to him at all the next time he came face to face with their leader. The Dark General turned and blasted the ground in front of Vayne. "I told you about disturbing me needlessly. Now begone from my sight, and do not appear again until the others have arrived!" The Dark General then turned away, once again facing the dark sky through the windows of the Sky Temple. Samus and Shu continued exchanging shots, as they raced around in the great temple. Shu had changed to his Shadow Form and was firing blast after blast of energy at Samus. Some of them hitting, others missing. Meanwhile, he was constantly having to use Chaos Control to avoid the Seeker Missiles being sent his way, and was growing rather tired of the continued fighting."Enough!" Lumina practically pushed his way past the protective Corrine as he yelled this and stood at the foreground, visibly angered by what he saw as a bunch of needless infighting. "Samus is not the scouts that we were informed of. Not if she is who I think she is."Samus landed on the ground as Shu finally stopped firing blasts of energy at her. Everyone could clearly see that each one had to exercise every ounce of self control to keep themselves at bay. Finally, Samus turned to face Lumina."My mission was to locate the source of the Darkness affecting the rest of the galaxy. I believe that this is the place from which it emanates, and I have been authorized to use any means necessary to stop it, and if possible, destroy it." Samus raised her arms cannon and pointed it directly at Lumina, causing Shu to clench every muscle in his body, just waiting for her to make a wrong move. "I have been authorized to use any and all force necessary to accomplish this mission. This includes lethal force." As she said this, Samus placed her left hand on her arm cannon, quietly waiting for Lumina's response.
Sploda
"Well Zero, at least my people are reliable. Perhaps you should look into the reasons why they don't do as you please." Zane said, almost as if he didn't care. "We are almost there." Zane informed them as they kept walking, he knew what happened when someone kept the Dark General waiting, but unlike most it didn't scare him at all. In fact it didn't even faze him. He just kept on walking at the same pace he had been before.
Tempest Dahlia
A spherical mass of dark energy began to take shape beside Zane and the Dark General. after a few seconds the energy bubble popped, and out jumped Alastor, Kousei still in his arms. He gave the General a quick nod, and Zane a swift, dark look.He began to shrink, reverting to his original spherical shape just as Kousei awoke and jumped from his arms, well rested. Shadow Zero
The Dark General glared silently out the window. Apparently there was now another visitor. no matter, he could sense that the others were close now. He activated the teleporter that led to the Sky Temple so that they could enter and waited patiently for them to show up. It would not be long now. Soon, they would crush and consume the light. It's not a matter of them not being reliable Zane, it's a matter of they didn't move quickly enough. That is why they were killed. They were far to slow on the uptake. As he spoke, Chaos Zero moved ahead and into the room where the teleporter was. He saw that it was already activated and waiting for them to step onto it. "Well then, time to enter the Sky Temple." Everyone stepped onto the teleporter and next moment was in the lower level of the Sky Temple. Chaos Zero looked around, seeing that Sammael was not there and said "Sammael is late. The Dark General will not be pleased. He then continued moving forward to the stairs leading upwards into the Sky Temples upper floor where the Dark general was. Sploda
"Sammael usually is late. He gets to caught up in his bloody massacres." Zane commented, following closely behind Chaos Zero. However instead of walking up the stairs, he jumped them 30 steps at a time. He would wait for Chaos Zero to take the steps then he would jump, then he would repeat the process. I wonder what my opponent's name shall be. I wonder what his look of total despair will be. Those are the only things that matter to my opponents.
