SHIVA noticed the spinning human and extended her tail as she took the card. "Thank you!" She told Nura as Protheus collided with her tail, sending him toppling to the ground.

"Actually, this is my preferred form. I can change it, but I really don't like to."

 

Meanwhile, Pandora got an idea, whispered it to Rinoa and a few others, who agreed, and Pandora stepped out of the arcade.

Protheus hit the ground on his face, having already been long unconscious. Only to stand up because of muscle memory and spin around again. He's going to need more than one groundpalm. He was once again still standing on one leg and was still very close to the ground every time he spun, but he still never fell down. This process still would continue unless he was stopped. And then he again began going into a slow spin, still unconscious, only to again spin around again, and again, and again, although still completely unconscious. Apparently his body was still working on muscle memory. And then he again went to a slow spin....and then began spinning rapidly again. And this process might really continue until the end of eternity. And he never fell down.

KALI looked around and noticed she couldn't see anything.

She felt that something wet was on her head.

She reached out and touched the mysterious liquid.

The taste drove KALI mad and she knew it was her own blood.

Cross looked at Jasmine.

Amazing! you summoned a 2000 Attack monster on your first turn!

Cross was really excited about this duel.

I activate Crystal Tree! Then I summon the legendary, Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger!(1600ATK)

Go! Topaz Tiger! Attack Cyber Harpie!

Topaz Tiger dashed towards cyber harpie before making pouncing on her, destroying them both. Jasmine seemed shock that a weaker monster had destroyed her Harpie.

Cross looked at her. Confidently stating:

When Topaz Tiger attacks a monster, His attack points increase by 400! But thats not all when my monster gets destroyed it gets put in my Spell and Trap as a Continuous spell!

A topaz crystal formed next to Cross as a Crystal Fruit grew on the Crystal Tree.

Now I activate the special ability of my Crystal Tree!. I can send it to the grave, to put Crystal beasts equal to the number of Crystal Fruit My tree had.

A Sapphire Crystal then appeared on his side of the field.

I set two cards face-down on the field and end my turn.(2)

Alright Jasmine! Show me what ya got!

"Not bad if I do say so myself.Draw! I summon Hunter Owl. His attack increases by five hundred for each wind on my side of the field, including himslef, and another two hundred from my hunting grounds. Now My owl will attack you Directly." The owl ripped it's claws into Cross, but left no noticable damage. "I'll set a card and end my turn. I've got to say, that was not the best move, putting Pegasus in your spell and trap zone, it could have benifited from my field spell, but I'm sure you have something up you sleave."

Cross smiled. The duel was so exciting. He had never felt this way before.

All of his life he was afraid of losing so he dueled simply to win, but none of that mattered anymore. He was truly enjoying himself.

A he made a warm smile as he drew his card.

I activate Rare Value! You select 1 Crystal Beast in my Spell and Trap and send it to the graveyard and I draw two cards!

Jasmine Pointed at the Sapphire one.(3-hand)

Next I activate Crystal Blessing! Returning my Sapphire Pegasus and my Crystal Fallen to my spell and trap! (3 Crystals)

Now I activate Crystal Beacon! I get to Special Summon 1 Crystal Beast from my deck if I have 2 or more crystals. Come on out! Ruby!

A ruby Carbuncle appeared. Shining and very adorable.

This is the best part! When ruby is summoned, she special summons all the crystal beasts in my spell and trap!(0-Crystals)(1-hand)(1-S/t)

As Jasmines life points hit zero, the top cards on her deck flew off, Hsyteric Party, which, if Cross hadn't blew it to the top of her deck, might have caused her to win. She walked back, picking up the card. "Good game. Your lucky you had that card face down, but you win." She took her deck out of her duel disk and placed it in a deck box. Where did he get the real crystal beasts from? She looked at James, augh-struck that it went so quickly.

Cross walked over to Jasmine and extended his hand.

That was a fun game He smiled.

His nose dripped a bit more blood.

uh, sorry He rubbed the blood off with his other hand It took a lot of energy to make replicas of the Crystal Beats. I did all th research I could but no one knows where they are. But since we're in a virtual world, I could look into the system to find the records of the Crystal Beasts and make copies. Cross began to cough and had to kneel down

I think I need some rest. He snapped his fingers and all the blood went away and smiled at Jasmine and James.

James got up from his seat next to the stranger and stood by Jasmine. "That was great. I thought Jasmine had you, but oh well." Jasmine looked at Cross. "Now you see how I made it to level 6 on the simulator." She noticed the blood. "You sure you're alright? Doesn't seem normal to have a bloody noise if you're not hurt." He seems alright, but copying one-of-a kind cards? And he acts kinda strange at times too...

Cross's eyes watered up. He looked like an child ready to start crying at any moment.

"Ack, my head hurts!" Cross rubbed his head. He knew that if he kept manipulating the virtual world, he would seriously injure himself. Thats odd I didn't even do anything that time he thought to himself.

"one great example would be reading my mind." James looked at him as if mad, but flashed a small smiled afterwards. "Second, when you introdued yourself to Jasmine, you started to say something starting with a B. Look, if your hidding something, just tell us, we can take it. We've been through plenty of weird things in the time we've known eachother." James and Jasmine looked at eachother, then back to Cross.

Cross Began to feel a throbbing pain in his head. He noticed that Shiva had been using his brain for her own needs so he freed it.

"Aah thats better"

Cross dumbly smiled at James who was still looking at him, waiting for an answer.

"Oh right! The Jasmine thing! Well uh its just that, a Girl Named Shiva tried to make me her slave, but I didn't let her, but she still had that name engraved in my head, so I was going to call myself Durga, but my real name is Cross."

Cross looked at James for a while...

"are you sure you didn't say that out loud?"

"Yes, I'm sure. I said it in my head. I'm not dumb enough to say so,ething like that out loud when the person who I'm thinking or talking about is around. Now as for the slave thing, who is the SHIVA? What does she look like?" James looked to Jasmine. At least he starting to tell us about himself, but SHIVA's what make me wonder now, like how would she be able to make him a slave? This place and it's people have a lot of mystery wrapped inside it...

Nura watched as Shiva 'played' with the spinning man, I didn't mean to make feel bad I just meant that you might intimidate people, besides I'm kinda curious about what your human form looks like. Nura saw the end of Cross's duel and noticed that he had played the legendary Crystal Beasts deck, this confused him because the last time he saw them they were in the hands of someone else.

"Shiva? She looks sort of like this"

Cross stood up straight and his clothes slowly disappeared, being replaced with fur. A tail slowly grew from his back and wings popped out. His hair changed color and his face looked exactly like Shiva's.

"We were supposed to be friends..but she forgot about me." Cross began to tear up a bit. He changed back into his human form after showing them.

"Don't loose to her in a duel. She'll turn you into a her slave. She Is one of the three that run this world, I assume, She mentioned 2 brothers. Thats how she can manipulate our appearance and mess with our heads."

"WHERE ARE YOU MY LOVE!? HYAHAHAHA!"

James and Jasmine both looked at a boy (KALI) who resembled Cross come out of a room in the arcade.

Cross new all to well who it was.

"How did you survive Destruction?" Cross turned around to see him

Destruction gave him a cold stare.

"Shut the funk up Cross I don't have time for you!"

Destruction(KALI) walked outside of the arcade in search of Shiva.

SHIVA then told Nura. "Hey, I've got to go check on something, but I'll be back in my human form in a bit." SHIVA flew off and left Nura in the woods.

 

SHIVA landed in the woods just near the arcade and gave a high-five to a shadowy figure before going. The AI then ran to where Cross was, and hugged him. "Sorry about that, honey, but I had to take care of something. Have you seen KALI? I need to shut her down and reunite her with you before it's-"

KALI spotted SHIVA, who grabbed DURGA and started to run.

James and Jasmine just stood there, as the events played out before them. "So, that's what Shiva looks like..." They just stood ther, silent, unable to think of a way to describe how they felt about what happened, as the cat-like figure, they figured was Shiva, came out of no where and hugged Cross. James and Jasmine stood there, watching all this, still unabel to find the words to describe what was going on.

Destruction(Kali) pulled out a gun and reappeared in front of Shiva.

"Not so fast b*tch! You called us your friends and you toyed with our emotions."

Cross looked at Destruction(Kali) who agreed with what he was saying.

"Now hand him over or you're not going to like was going to happen.

He loaded the pointed the gun at Shiva's forehead.

SHIVA wagged her finger at KALI. "Naughty girl! No threatening people!"

KALI's gun was now a harmless Super Soaker.

 

Meanwhile, someone emerged from the woods near Nura. It was an ashen-haired girl with cat-like blue eyes, a grey, tiger-striped hoodie with angel wings embroidered into the back, and grey jeans with a snake design around the lower half of the legs. She looked exactly like SHIVA would if she was human...but something was off, even though it was impossible to put a finger on what.

"Well, this is it." SHIVA sighed, twirling around. "How do I look?

Destruction(Kali) looked at Shiva as he held his super soaker.

You stupid C*nt!, did you really think it was going to be that easy!

Kali Smashed the super soaker in his hands and back-hand slapped Shiva, sending her to the ground. Jasmin and James could only watch the horror. Kali turned to Cross and punched his stomach rendering him unconscious. Cross spat out a serious amount of blood. Kali snapped his fingers and Cross disappeared.

Shiva, I am your creation....I'm just like you. He said waving his finger The only thing keeping me from killing you was my love for you. But now Destruction(Kali) began to cry ...You brought me back just so that you could neglect me! Shiva could see that KALI was deteriorating from the hip. Thats right I'm dieing! So if I can't have you no one can! Kali summoned his gun once again. This baby's loaded with a virus so deadly that It'll erase you out from the game!

Nura had a bad feeling, and he decided to act on instinct, It looks really cute but I just remembered something was wrong. Nura began to walk in the direction Shiva had originally left, something was off even though that seemed like Shiva something seemed wrong and he had a feeling she was in trouble. It took a little time for him to reach were Shiva and Destruction were, he decided to hid in the shadows until he could find the best moment to intervene. So there was something off about that girl but if she wasn't Shiva then who was she.

There was a swift, fluid motion from one of the chairs, where Destiny had been sitting, observing everything in silence. Before anyone could truly react, Destiny slipped into the space between the gun and Shiva, a cool look in her eyes, her raven hair spiraling at her shoulders. She met the other's eyes, her stare unwavering.

 

"Calm down," she said, her tone cold and serious. She watched with a passive expression, not a flicker of fear upon her face. "Even if there is a virus loaded, it won't harm a human, now will it?" she asked.

 

"There are always better ways of resolving conflict than threats and violence," Destiny continued. "Now be civil and utilize one of them."

Protheus stopped spinning and then looked upward, now conscious again. He began walking, and walking, and walking. He had no idea where he was, especially since he couldn't see where he was going due to his brain still trying to process sight. He had a massive headache. He was still walking like someone without a clue. And as soon as his vision cleared, he stopped. He could easily see SHIVA. "Uhhh....hi?"

Destruction looked at the woman. She had the same look Shiva did when they first met.

Destruction walked a few steps back giving room for what seemed to be a duel.

If you want any chance of this girl to survive then you're going to have to beat me in a duel.

A battle City duel disk appeared on Destructions left arm.

But theres going to be a penalty:

If your life points drop to zero, The Shiva will die...

Chains suddenly appeared around Shiva's ankles wrists and neck

...but my life points drop to zero, Then Cross here will Die.

Cross reappeared behind Destruction, chained to the ceiling.

So whats it going to be...? Do you accept these conditions or will I just have to kill her right now?

Destiny blinked. "That's not..." she started to trail off, frowning. "...what I meant, but..." she closed her eyes for a moment. Clearly, there really was no reasoning with a psychopath. Wonderful, the alternative to violent threats is...a violent stipulation on a card game's outcome. This is like playing Monopoly and whoever passes Go 3 times gets to kill the other player's best friend.

 

"Very well, you've clearly made up your mind on that," Destiny said, raising her arm and activating her own Disk. Her expression didn't shift from the calm coolness, but the immediate anger was gone. Rash action and impulse would help no one, and she'd feel less guilty sacrificing a psychopathic boy than she would letting the...other, more significant victim go to waste. For that reason, she needed to win.

 

"Ladies first," she stated, drawing six cards swiftly. Her eyes flicked through the cards. "I activate Terraforming! This spell lets me add one Field Spell from my deck to my hand and I select the field Brain Research Lab! I activate it!" she continued, sliding the card into the hidden slot on her disk. Around the two of them, a laboratory formed, carrying several glass cases with different substances.

 

"This field has several effects," Destiny explained calmly. "Firstly, it allows either player to Normal Summon one Psychic monster from our hand in addition to our Normal Summon for the turn. In exchange, this card gets one Psychic Counter. Also, so long as I am able to pay the price in lifepoints, I no longer have to pay any lifepoints to activate a Psychic monster's LP cost for their effects. Every instance of doing this, the field spell gains a Psychic Counter."

 

She looked up at Destruction. "Did you follow all of that? Lastly, if this card is removed from the field, I take 1000 points of damage for every Psychic Counter it had on it."

 

"Now, I shall resume my turn by summoning Psychic Snail!" Lightning glowed beneath the ground and a large snail creature appeared, electricity sparking from its head. (Lvl 4, 1900/1200)

 

"Then I place one Psychic Counter on my Field Spell..." as she spoke, a light lit up on one of the glass cases behind her, the case itself filled with what appeared to be acid. "And Normal Summon my Psychic Commander!" Another monster appeared, some sort of officier inside a tank. (Lvl 3, 1400/1000)

 

"I tune my Level 3 Psychic Commander with my Level 4 Psychic Snail!" Destiny announced. Psychic Commander split apart into 3 green rings and the snail floated into them, becoming transparent and releasing four white stars. A beam of light shot through the center of the rings, engulfing the stars. "To Synchro Summon Psychic Lifetrancer!"

 

A woman creature appeared, conjuring an orb of light and an orb of darkness above her. (Lvl 7, 2400/2000)

 

Destiny looked over at her monster. "I activate her effect. I remove one Psychic monster from my graveyard, like my Snail, and in exchange, I gain 1200 Lifepoints. Lastly, I set 1 card facedown and end my turn."

Destruction looked at Destiny. He seemed very interested in the outcome of this duel.

Not bad, but I know that you wont be able to beat this deck. I draw!

Destruction looked at Cross, who was still unconscious.

I Activate my field Spell! Advanced Dark!

Destruction watched ad the laboratory collapsed and was replaced by a blue burning ring, simmilar to the Seal of Orichalcos.

This baby treats all my Crystal Beasts as Dark monsters. Now I summon Crystal Fallen, His special ability allows my send any Crystal Monsters from the top three cards of my deck to the graveyard at the cost of 500 Life points.

Destruction looked at the cards but seemed disappointed in his results.

I send Crystal Golem to the graveyard.
