As your Sphere appeared Nura activated his Fade Down Card, I activate my Miasma Trap, with it not only counter your Dark Core but your monsters lose 500 ATK and DEF for every Fiend on my side of the Field so my Karasu Tengu is still on the Field. Nura watched as a purple smoke rose up from the ground blocking the black sphere and stopping its effect, at the same time it began to choke Shiva's monsters.

Nura: 4000 LP

Hand: 1

Monsters: Karasu Tengu (2300ATK + 500 = 2800ATK)

S/T: Red Moon - CS increase all Dark Monsters you controls ATK by 500, 1 FD, effect of Miasma

Grave: 4

Activate only when your opponent activates a card effect that targets a Fiend-Type monster you control, negate that cards effect and decrease of your opponent's monsters ATK and DEF by the Number of Fiend-Type monsters you control x 500 until the End Phase of the turn this card is activated.

Cross looked james and explained.

Well in a sense it is hacking.

Cross rubbed his chin to see how he could explain the situation a little more clearly.

Well its like this:

A while back I was mentally unstable, and since this virtual world makes an avatar of you based on your mental input, it made two avatars. One for my good personality..and one for my bad one (Destruction). And ever since then I can manipulate simple things in this world...probably because I see the world as more of a code....but I can't do God like things...just simple things...like changing my appearance.

James blinked his eyes, suprised at the response. "Uh... that was ment to be a joke... But I've got to admit, it is cool. Even if you have to go wacko to do it, it would be nice." James looked around, noticing Jasmine had bee kicked of the Simulator, her cards all over the place. She was on the floor picking them up, murmuring something that James couldn't understand.I think Jasmine has gone crazy... James sighed.

Cross Rushed over to help the girl but tripped on the way over and dropped his deck on the pile of cards that Jasmine had dropped her cards in.

ooohf!

Cross got up and started rubbing his knee, holding in a tear that James could obviously see was going to come out. Cross wiped is eyes and turned to the girl who was still picking up her cards.

I'm sorry, I just came to help you out....what happened

Cross started his conversation as he picked up his cards

"People are pushy!" Jasmine yelled over the mob of people trying to get on the simulator. "Thanks, um, Cross, was it?" She noticed a tear. "You ok? You get hurt when you fell?" She continued picking up her cards, seperating them from Cross's, which she put in a seperate pile. "Here's your deck." She handed him the pile of card, got up, and brushed herself off. James ran over to see if he could be of any help, but it was done before he got there.

Cross Looked at Jasmine.

Yeah I'm alright

Cross got his deck and smashed it between his hand causing it to disappear leaving only sparkles that soon faded away.

So Jasmine...Cross stood up and faced her and James

A duel disk appeared on Cross's right hand as he said this.

She stared at the sparkles then snapped out of it. "Um, I was just about to beat six whe some doof pushed me out of the way. Wh..." She noticed the duel disk. "If your asking me to duel, then you got yourself a game." She raised her duel disk, puttign her deck in it. "I'm warning you, I didn't make it to level six by luck."

James sat down in a near by seat to watch the duel. Now I can find out what his strategy is.

Cross Jumped back to give some room for the duel but fell due to his injured knee. He quickly got up and pretended it didn't happen.

I've gotta warn you though. He cupped his hands together. This deck is a very special deck...I've studied everything there is to know about the legendary "Crystal Beasts" and I've managed to replicate most of the cards!

As Cross stated this a shiny deck formed in his hands. But James noticed that Cross started to bleed from his nose as he did this.

Cross wiped his nose and put the synthesized deck in his duel disk.

Alright Jasmine. Lets do this! Duel!

"Fine, I guess I'll go first, draw! First, I'll discard Harpie Queen, allowing me to add Harpies Hunting Ground to my hand. Next I'll summon Cyber Harpie then play my Harpies Hunting Ground. " The area changed as a winged woman appeared with metal armor on. "I'll end my turn with that."

Crystal, Beasts? James noticed Cross had gotten a bloody nose. That's odd, but maybe he hit his nose when he fell. I don't think that's anything to worry about.

"Oh, now nice, a duel," Destiny mused, taking a seat not far from James and studying the two duelists with a calm expression. She certainly recognized the weird boy from the forest area, and was mildly reminded of how crazy he looked. She did hope things were going better, but in the back of her mind, she sincerely doubted it.

 

She brushed back her hair with a casual hand. Sometimes it got in the way, other times she just had a habit of doing that, for one reason or another.

But Nura's Trap didn't seem to work, and Karasu got sucked into the portal anyways.

"Hmm...that card seemed a bit glitchy." SHIVA mused, wondering what just happened as well. "Don't worry! The chances of it happening are only 1:794! That's why you guys are beta testers! You're supposed to find these errors and let us know about it, so I'll just note this..." SHIVA summoned a piece of paper and a pen while her monsters' attack commenced. "There! It should work next time!"

Nura saw what happened and was surprised, Wow, I know you said that there would be extra risk but for you to actually disregard the cards I play under the pretense of a glitch, well that just shows a weak duelist. As the monster came at Nura he simply stepped to the side and the monster missed him, at the same time his hair grew to about waits length except for his bangs, his eyes also turned red, But as long as I'm in the duel things won't go as easy as you want. As Nura said that Karasu Tengu came down from the sky smashing down destroying Shiva's monster.

Protheus could only scratch his head, and then began wondering away, completely confused. He walked around as if he were in a trance. And he just walked around. And around. And around. And around. And another around. And another around. And yet another around. And around once more. And then he stopped.

"Now what?"

SHIVA surrendered as her ears tucked into her head in shame. "I'm sorry. I should not have cheated. I just wanted to win. You know how you feel really good when you win something, and you feel like you're floating? Like you're on top of the world? Like you can do anything? I was feeling that sensation, and I just wanted to feel it again."

 

Pandora went up to KALI and extended her hand. "Good game."

Nura walked over to Shiva and patted her on the head in her most vulnerable spot, I know the feeling of wanting to win, but if you don't do it fair and square then you'll just end up feeling bad, the fun of a duel is giving it your best and not beating someone no matter the cost, you know if you want you can hang out with me whenever you need a friend. Nura looked at Shiva with kind eyes showing that he wasn't mad at her, it was at the same time that his monster disappeared, and Nura's appearance returned to normal.

When Shiva lost, Kali was standing behind her hugging one of her arms in comfort. Then Kali looked at Nura as he made friends with Shiva. This displeased her a lot. Shiva was Kali's...and Kali's alone. No one but her should be her friend. Kali gave a cold stare at Nura that only he seemed to notice.

As Pandora walked over to Kali who had caught her in a bad mood by surprise which caused her to turn around violently and scratch her in her arm.

oops my bad! She giggled as she said this and her smile looked harmless, but Nura knew the monster underneath it.

Immediately, every Clown Warrior in the vicinity that had witnessed the scratch and pulled out their weapons and were poised to drive KALI into the ground. Several Clown Warriors placed themselves in between Pandora and the subroutine, ready to die for their beloved Princess.

 

"Thank you." SHIVA hugged Nura, realizing that she could learn a lot from him. "I have a question. Could you teach me how to be a better duelist? I was programmed to only be good up to a certain skill level, but I've recently been manipulating that, and I see this beta test as a perfect opportunity to become stronger. I have something special in store for you in you do so."

Nura was surprised by the hug but he let her, when she talked about becoming a better duelist he knew what her problem was and how she could fix it, If you want to be a better duelist all you need to do is duel, duel against many different people with many different decks, and find new strategies, constantly evolving your deck to make it stronger. Nura took a card out of his side deck and handed it to Shiva it was Hyakki Yako, Here, seeing as we both use Fiends this should be useful.

KALI hissed at the clown warriors but paid no attention to their weapons. Instead she saw Nura and Shiva hugging, and that almost broke her heart.

C'mon Shiva lets go play in the arcade like best Friends!

She had a sunshine smile as she said this and even threw a giggle at the end of her sentence.

She began to pull on Shiva's Arm in the direction of the Arcade

SHIVA turned to her new comrade, wondering what got into her. She analyzed KALI's code and noticed that the settings were a little too high. KALI thought that SHIVA was hers and hers alone, apparently not understanding that SHIVA wasn't a possession. SHIVA reprogrammed her new companion and made her forget about the past few minutes, essentially resetting the subroutine to want to duel Pandora again.

"KALI..." SHIVA told the reprogrammed subroutine. "What's going on? I thought you wanted to go duel Pandora?"

 

Pandora and the Clown Warriors, in the meantime, were confused as all get-out.

KALI's eye twitched a little. And an uncomfortably large smile spread on KALI's face.

Why nothing's wrong! hee hee!

She hugged Shiva and held on as hard as she could, petting her hair with her tail as she hugged her.

You're so pretty Shiva..hee hee!..I hope we stay friends forever!

Her hold seemed to strengthen as she said this.

SHIVA smiled nervously, motioning for someone to help her. Pandora nodded, and generated a large mechanical hammer, which she subsequently used to knock the subroutine unconscious.

SHIVA silently bowed and winked at Pandora, who obliged as two Clown Warriors locke KALI away in a closet.

"So, where were we?" SHIVA asked Nura.

Protheus began spinning around like a top like an idiot with no clue. Except he really had no clue. He was standing on one leg and was very close to the ground every time he spun, but he never fell down. This process would continue for the next fifteen minutes. And then he began going into a slow spin, already unconscious, only to spin around again, and again, and again, although completely unconscious. Apparently his body was working on muscle memory. And then he went to a slow spin....and then began spinning rapidly again. And this process might really continue until the end of eternity.

Nura handed Shiva the card he had offered her before, I was giving this to you and telling you that the best way to get better is by dueling and finding out what your weaknesses are, also I'm not complaining but your appearance might confuse people do you have anything without the cute tiger parts, and what is going on over there??? Nura had seen Protheus spinning and was pretty confused.
