"A pleasure to meet you," the older man said, but he didn't look particularly sincere. "Never released to the public, you say? So you have an exclusive decktype?" he asked, rubbing his beard some more.

 

"Not just anyone can use an exclusive decktype with fluent skill. I hope you don't take that for granted simply because you have no competition wielding the same deck. It's not like with other decks, where your competition may use a similar style, but slightly different build. A real duelist knows he can continue to learn more and more."

Suddenly, what appeared to be a snake whose scales were in the same style as SHIVA's fur wrapped around Cross' neck. SHIVA then spun around to face Cross, revealing that the snake was part of her tail, and pulled him in. "Hello." The AI purred. "Did one of my brothers send you to play with me? Well, let's take off that mask, shall we?" SHIVA's claws extended, and they gingerly removed the new mask. SHIVA then kissed Cross on the lips. Her tail released the duelist as SHIVA then jumped into the air and floated away from Cross enough distance to duel.

"Now, how about we play a children's card game? You win, you get to go free. You lose, you become my playmate. Forever."

Cross looked at Shiva...He liked the idea a lot. Cross Sprung from the ground and floated around the same level as her. You're kind of feisty aren't you? Cross extended his arms and legs and shadows consumed them both. I like you, so I'm going to let you start this party off. But theres something that you should know...this isn't an ordinary duel...If we're going to play for keeps then the loser will be bound to the other's soul for eternity! A neck brace appeared on both Shiva and Cross, both of which were attached to the shadows of this new realm through multiple chains.

This, strange girl, is a SHADOW GAME!

SHIVA easily took off the brace to examine it, much to Cross' surprise. "What the heck is this thing? And what is a 'Shadow Game'? I thought we were just going to duel. By the way, I like the special effects you gave your in-game self. Very nice! Did you use the avatar effects customizer, because we're still working on getting out the bugs on that one. Still, it should be usable, which is how you were able to do that. Anyways, who goes first: me or you?"

Cross could only stare at the girl in shock. Perhaps my ability to alter the virtual world wasn't as strong as I anticipated to be...oh well...I'll start The girl must've been distracted by his "special effects" to notice he allowed her to make the first move.

 

Cross rather liked the chain around his neck and decided to keep it on. But he had other thoughts on his duel disk. He pulled it off and threw it in the air. Then pulled out a thin sword and sliced the duel disk in half.

 

DUEL START!

My turn! I draw! He reached out to the sky and six cards appeared in his hand.

He took a quick glance at his hand and began to laugh Hyahahahaha! I set three cards face-down and activate Dark World Dealings! Which lets us both draw one card but then discard another Both players then drew and discarded their card. Next I Summon Destruct Ridden in Attack Mode! But due to its own effect I have to destroy my face down Skill Successor. And with that I think I'll End my turn.

"My turn again? Draw." Protheus said. And then he drew his card.

"Attack that clown Motoko again."

Gorz simply turned to Protheus. "No, seriously, just do it."

And then Gorz simply began walking to Motoko, about to strike her again with his shiny but useless sword.

Pandora yawned as Gorz approached. She knew that Gorz's attack was utterly pointless. Toon Brick Wall would block Gorz's attack, and next turn, her luck might still hold out, and she would win!

Or at least take out Nura.

But Pandora wasn't the competitive type. She just wanted to have fun dueling, and didn't know why so many people got so riled up about this game, and used a children's card game as the deciding factor in so many important conflicts.

But Motoko was a top-of-the-line police officer before she was transformed, and she was reading Protheus' facial expressions and body language, and something didn't add up. Gorz knew this attack was pointless, and, in fact, wasn't too keen and being smacked in the face with a brick wall again. But Protheus seemed a bit too confident, and Motoko was worried about those Traps...

Regardless, she readied herself for a possible swordfight.

"You did activate Cold Wave, amirite?" Protheus asked as Gorz walked slowly and lazily to his target. Gorz was already bored. Twice already the stupid brick wall had hit him.

"What does Cold Wave do, exactly? I don't know its effect but I can give a shot that it froze your card....I dunno."

And he paused for a moment to think. Meanwhile, Gorz just arrived at his target and simply raised his shiny sword, about to attack and be hit by a wall.

Motoko smiled. "And that's where you're wrong. Cold Wave prevents Spells and Traps from being Set or activating. It doesn't say anything about Traps that are already on the field!"

Once again, the Brick Wall popped up, socking Gorz in the face, but this time, an audible cracking sound could be heard, and the Clown Warriors gasped.

Their Trap had just broken Gorz's nose.

Gorz was so frustrated with this. "Figures." Protheus then took a card from his hand. Cold Wave only stopped spells and traps, but it didn't stop monster effects.

"I summon Breaker the Magical Knight." A red magician clad in armor appeared. "When it is summoned, I put a spell counter on it. And I can remove that spell counter to destroy one spell or trap on the field....so yeah. That Brick Wall has to go."

James looked at Akiza, augh-struck. "But why are you... you..."A clown... "um... here? I mean I would have never expected someone like you to be here." James then looked towards the duel in the background with the girl using the clowns who never said who she was, possibly related to Akiza's appearence, the guy using Gorz, and someone else he couldn't quite see. "Well, at least someone tells me who they are in this place." James smiled, then turned to Jasmine, who was still not happy with him for abandoning her. I need to suggest that communicator...

Ozone was surprised, he didn't honestly think that the AI could counter his Gunman's ability, yet alone destroy the monster.

"Impressive!" Ozone said and did actually look impressive, but he had a plan.

He picked out two cards in his hand and placed them on his field face-down.

"I set these two cards, and then it's your turn!"

[Barian Warlord]

Nura drew his card then looked at his field, Now I'll summon my Rider MK4, and with is effect I can special summon one level four or lower Masked Hero from my deck, so I'll summon Mask Hero Terra in defense position, and I'll equip him with my Rider MK4, and with that I'll end my turn. First a futuristic Motorcycle appeared on Nura's field then a heavily armored warrior appeared and got onto it.

Mask Hero Terra (2000DEF) can cancel destruction once.

When the Monster Equipped with this card declares an attack halve the attack of the opponents monster. If a monster Equipped with this card would be destroyed by battle destroy this card instead.

SHIVA wasn't fazed. "Well, it's a good thing the card I discarded was The Fabled Ganashia, allowing me to Special Summon it and allow it to gain 200 ATK!"

A strange and creepy humanoid elephant-boy trumpeted onto the field. (1600 ATK -> 1800 ATK)

"Now, I draw, and I play Fabled Sanctuary!" (Hand: 5)

The jungle transformed into a luscious, almost supernatural, garden.

"Next I will play Dark World Lightning, sending The Fabled Peggulsus to the Graveyard to destroy your right face-down!" (Hand: 3)

A Set card appeared on SHIVA's field as a lighting bolt struck down and destroyed his face-down card.

"Now I will Normal Summon Fabled Urustos from my hand!" (Hand: 2)

A skeletal nun with black angel wings floated down onto the field. (1500 ATK)

"Urustos' effect will activate, increasing the ATK of all Fabled monsters by 400 if I have 2 cards or less in my hand!"

The nun emitted a banshee-esque wail, powering up SHIVA's monsters. (1800 ATK -> 2200 ATK) (1500 ATK -> 1900 ATK)

"Urustos, attack his Riden! Ganashia, attack him directly!"

"Next I will play Dark World Lightning, sending The Fabled Peggulsus to the Graveyard to destroy your right face-down!"

You destroyed my face-down Statue of the wicked! which special summons a wicked token to my side of the field!

"Urustos, attack his Riden!"

I activate Hate Buster!, which destroys my Riden and your Urustos! and you take 1800 points of damage! Cross watched as their monsters were smashed to bits and she lost 1800 Life points.

Now, By the effect of my destruct riden, I get to special summon my Destruct Ruler that was sent to the graveyard by the effect of Dark World Dealings! Destruct Ruler's Hand Smashed from below the ground and He rose up to take his place on the field.But wait there's more! Hyahahaha! When destruct ruler is summoned I can destroy two of my cards, to destroy one of your cards, and I choose The Fabled Ganashia! Hyahahaha! Destruction! Glorious Destruction! Hyahahahah![/color] Destruct Ruler and the Wicked token both got destroyed, along with Ganashia and the were all sent to the grave. The field was completely empty except for Fabled Sanctuary.

Behold, my love, the power of DESTRUCTION! Hyahahaha! Cross laughed hysterically... he no longer resembled his former self.

SHIVA looked over her hand. "I go to Main Phase 2, and I will activate my Fabled Return from my hand!"

Special Summon 1 LV4 or lower "Fabled" monster from your Graveyard, then draw 1 card. The "Fabled" monster Special Summoned by this card's effect cannot attack during your next Battle Phase.

 

A glowing portal of light appeared where Urustos used to be, and the monster reappeared, powering up with its banshee wail. (1500 ATK -> 1900 ATK)

"I set a face-down card and end my turn!"

 

Akiza chuckled. "Trust me, it gets weirder. I'm not your world's Akiza. I'm a different reality's Akiza, one where Team New World successfully managed to destroy New Domino. I was caught in the blast, and bleeding to death, when Banashime, the Clown Princess before Pandora, came across me. She offered me a deal, and turned me into a Clown Warrior. All Clown Warriors are like that: people from one reality or another where the natural chain of events didn't play out. We're orphans, abandoned by fate, so was have resolved to our own destinies in a multiverse that doesn't love us."

"Oh..." James became saddened by her comments. "Wait, since your from a different 'multiverse,' how do you know about me? If you we're hurt before I was born in your world, IF I was born in your world, how would you know about me? I know Banashime never knew me, and Pandora, I'm guessing that girl over there who is using the clown card, since she never introduced herself to me, never knew me either, cause I know Crow was always afraid of clowns and would do anything to get away from them."

Jasmine was too busy listening to Akiza's story to be mad at James anymore. She said nothing.

A multiverse is a collection of universes that are very common, like the Duel Monsters multiverse, where we are. There are many multiverses, like the one Misty hails from, where creatures called 'Pocket Monsters' battle it out in a similar fashion to our own Duel Monsters. Motoko is from a multiverse where cybernetics are so advanced, it is increasingly hard to tell machine from man. The twins, Mion and Shion, along with their friend Rena, are from a very interesting multiverse ruled by an insane creature called Hanyou, where they all have to repeat the events of the same summer over and over again. Each universe is infinitely huge, and there are an infinite number of universes out there.Even the most seasoned traveler, like Pandora's mother Itsu, has just barely started to scratch the surface."

 

Pandora was considering her options, and decided to throw in the towel. She placed her hand on her Deck and drew the top card of her Deck with the brown swirly part facing the other two.

"This is taking too long....."

Protheus felt like he wanted to sleep.

"Er, so yeah......"

He then placed his hand on top of his deck, surrendering. "It was getting boring anyway."

Nura watched as the two people he was dueling gave up and he was extremely disappointed, he drew the top card of his deck and chuckled a little, It figures that I would draw this card now. Nura walked of waving to the two people he had dueled, he thought about the duel and the deck types he had been against taking them apart and figuring out how to beat them, one of them played a Gorz deck which can be difficult but the other person seemed to play a seal deck that waited until it could bring out a super monster, Nura looked over his deck but he felt that if they dueled again he may have some surprises left.

Cross Stared at his opponent. He had never felt so alive!

So you managed to survive my assault eh? Hyahahaha!

My turn, I draw! (Hand 2)

I set two cards face-down on the field, and activate Fabled Sanctuary's effect! Since I have no cards in my hand, I can draw another card! Cross passed the card across his face and gave it a swift lick

Mmmm tastes like a winner! Hyahahaha! Thats it for me, I end my turn.

James looked at her and blinked. "I get some of this multiverse and universe stuff your saying, seeing as I've met Itsu many times in my journeys and she has talked about it." James noticed the monsters on in the duel where fading away. That duel was taking awhile. About time somone finished it up.

Jasmine had a blank expression on her face. "I'm gonna leave before you start talking about multiple universes again." She walked out of the arcade and outside, sitting on a bench right by the building.

SHIVA wasn't fazed. "I draw, and I play Cup of Ace, allowing me to flip a coin and let a player draw 2 cards based on the result!" A golden cup appeared on SHIVA's field and SHIVA flipped a golden coin with her head on one side and her tail on the other into the cup. She looked inside, and pulled out the coin. "Heads! That means I draw 2 cards!"[/color] SHIVA drew her cards, looked down at her side of the field, and smiled. (Hand: 3)

'You may think you've won, but I still have my Peggulsus!"

SHIVA's face-down monster flipped up to reveal a cute little winged horse. (100 ATK)

"Now Peggulsus' effect activates, letting me reveal my Fabled Dyf in my hand, then sending Fabled Kushano to my Graveyard from my Deck!"

Peggulsus whinnied, revealing a golden-armored man with white hair in SHIVA's hand and sending a card to her Graveyard.

"Now I will Normal Summon Fabled Dyf!"

The golden-armored man appeared on the field. (1400 ATK)

"Now I will Tune Peggulsus with Dyf!"

Peggulsus flew into the air, whinnied, and became a green ring, while Dyf entered the ring, turning into a golden outline and 3 stars.

"Synchro Summon! The Fabled Unicore!"

A powerful-looking white horse with black armor and a black spiraling horn galloped onto the field. (2300 ATK)

"Now I will set a face-down card, then attack you directly with Unicore!"

 

Akiza was a bit stunned. "You know Itsu? Pandora's mother?"

"Yes. She's been in my time a few times, trying top help with the many disasters that have happened. For some reason, trouble follows me, but I've always gotten out of it. I didn't know she had a daughter though, and that is was Pandora."

Jasmine heard the clash of monsters and saw the very tip of the forest created by the duel. "What's going on?" She looked over to see two people dueling, but could quite see there body features. "Wonder who they are. Better stay away, for now."

It seems in your excitement you forgot about my Appropriate!

Cross Held up his hand which now had 3 cards.

"Now I will set a face-down card, then attack you directly with Unicore!"

Hyahaha! I activate Waboku! So I take no battle damage from the attack!
