Nexev turned to Sean "What wil you know you two bit con artist backstabber!" Nexev spat with vemence. "You are the textbook crusader, you have no idea how the world works, you are blindly killing anything you don't like, adding words like 'truth' and 'justice' to justify your actions. Your not a hero Sean, your a monster. Plan and simple. Everyone is a monster, just cause we acknowledge this fact and are open about it doesn't make us any worse or more deserving of death than a serial killer who slaughters any decent man out to make there two cent.

Nexev turned to Joe and gave a bow. "For the other friendship we have, I am willing to let you live as long as you decide to stick your knows outta his majesties affairs, your friend on the other hamd." Nexev's mood turned sour "None of the hells are hot enough to give him his judgement, but rest assured we'd make due. Speaking of which..." Nexev turned back to Sean and jumped between him and Ralis, intending to smash Sean's head open with his claw.

When Joe saw this he leap into the air and summoned the Genesis Blade. He intercepted Nexev's attack and locked his blade in between the claws. They both landed to the side still in dead lock. As Joe struggled to hold his own, he tried to reason with Nexev "Sorry Nexev, but I can't sit by and let Loki do as he pleases. Nor can I sit by and let you harm my teammate. That's something that even villains know - allegiance." He pushed a bit further manage to separate himself from the grip with Nexev.

"Look, I don't know how you know me, or whatever version of me you knew or whatever the case may be. But I apologize for any wrongdoing they did. But it's as you said, 'different universe, different choices'. It doesn't have to be the same - whatever hell happened in that other dimension, it doesn't necessarily have to happen again." Joe dropped his fighters stance and released his concentration, thus making the Genesis Blade disappear. "You seem troubled. If I can, let me help you. Loki stabbed his own son, Dominic, in the back ... literally .... twice even. Are you sure he means you well?" Joe tried whatever he could to try to avoid this fight and figure out this situation. It was in his nature. After the situation with Dominic, he was now much more doubtful of a ranger being evil for keeps. Something must be off, there is part of these two that must be good. But he could only be this way soo far. At some point he knew he'd have to fight them with everything he had - as he had with Dominic. But he had to try things this way first. No matter how futile they might have been

The shadows reconvened nearby from the battle and Legion watched, scaring away certain onlookers. 'Loki....my brother Atlas, it seems you have terrified Loki beyond wits for him to borrow a corurpt ranger. My dear brother' he stated and watched the carnage. 'Nexev and Ralis, anti-ranger from differing universes. Pity my clairvoyance only extends to this universe, but the realm of possibility may soon open it's door. Now, which side should I play with?' he wondered aloud, since Broodwing was privy to both aloud and inner monologue. 'Breaking your word with the rangers would be bad. Utilize your skills to give the rangers an edge, perhaps then they would be more willing to trust you before you backstab them' Broodwing suggested. 'Perhaps' Legion replied.

As Legion watched, a stone pilar rose from the ground next to him and assumed humanoid form. It was Atlas. He observed the fight and sighed. "Apparently Loki may not have heeded my words." He then turned to Legion and placed a hand on his shoulder. "However, brother, I ask that you do not jump into this fight just yet. At least not this one. Master Vile explained to me your current deal with the rangers. If you are breaking that promise to fight them now, then I see no honor in that. BUT, if you are going to keep your word and for some reason help them, then I ask you to wait. Let us see what these new rangers are capable of."

Ralis was confused about how he fit into all this but decided this was a good a time as any to strike. "Thanks mate" he whispered as he ran past Nexev and Joe before charging straight at his Panther counterpart. "I'm sorry mate, I got orders from the man to take you down, hopefully you'll just accept this, I hate to see a good man suffer" Ralis then blocked the kick with the wrist of his armor, struggling slightly to keep his ground, before slashing at his counterpart with the emerald powered blade. These people may cause some problems with their powers but as long as Loki trusted him, he knew he could defeat them if required.

Nexev sighed to Joe. "Like a mirror." Nexev said as he stepped back away from Joe and ending the deadlock. "However noble you are, if I disobey my leader there is no reason for me to be a ranger. This rank is a sign of loyalty in dedication, and it's the only thing I have left." Nexev then realized something. "Wait, Dominic is here too? Wow it's been so long, is there any unfamilar faces here? Weird." Nexev flicked his wrist and the claw attached to it sinked to the ground connected to a chain. "Anyway, the point is, nothing in life is certain, I've seen darkness build utopias and souls raped in justice's name. There is one person to trust and that is the gods. I've seen you died and probbaly killed half of your friends before, it will be simple matter to repeat that endevor. However Loki isn't the god of chaos for following the easy road. Let's make a gamble, we'll do battle a bit, endless rematches if either side desires, whoever wins at the end gets to have the entire enemy side join them. Then we can be friends forever, me, Elefun here, dickless cat guy, and Loki, best friends forever and ever." Nexev said dreamily before swinging the chain straight towards Joe.

Joe was feeling sorry for the poor guy, but he couldn't hold back anything. If he did it would be the end of himself. As the chain began to swing around, Joe tried to dodge, but he was too close and the blades connected. Joe went flying to the side but managed to do a rollout and land safely. The only damage he sustained was from the initial impact, which was enough. He stood up and retook his fighters stance. "I don't know exactly about that. I doubt Loki would agree to such a thing, but i do agree with you on one front. This will be decided through battle. Perhaps that is how we will see who's views are distorted. Just remember the God's have been notorious for disputing amongst themselves. How do you know which one is the true one? Either way, may the best man win." Joe smirked and then charged at Nexev. He raised his left foot to fake Nexev out into thinking he was about to kick, but at the last second before it connected, Joe kicked his foot bakc and used the reverse momentum to throw a heavy punch right to Nexev's hemet.

Nexev was sent flying by the blow, creating a dust cloud from his landing. Through the dust cloud several chains emerged, all of them having dragon heads on the ends. Nexev was following them, the chains connected to his clawless arm. Nexev laughed manically "Yes, a fair fight, how I mourned your passing ages past. But you seem to be mistaken on a bit. Sure the gods may debate, some may be fake, but does it matter? No cause nothing really does, you have to stop asking questions and just recite the lines on the script you were given, a bad role can ruin you but a bad preformance can ruin the play. It's only fair that we do are job as mindful puppets." Nexev gave a suprisingly girlish giggle as the dragon heads opened there jaws revealing even more chains to entrap Joe in a net.

Sean did, in fact get hit by Ralis's blade, but he then did a double roll, glowing in the process and having his back turned at the end. He then thrusted his hands towards Ralis, launching his Chain Claws at his chest, causing only minor damage at all. The claws receded very quickly and reattached to his fingers. "That was a lucky shot, but it's going to take more than that to hurt me to the point of fatigue." Sean said to Ralis. He then activated his com link to call Zedren. "Zedren, do you have any explanation as to what's going on? Do you know who these guys are at all?"

Nexev overheard Sean and face palmed. "You know, there is this ancient and dangerous technique that can help you in this situation. It's crazy but asking is still an option. I know, I know, it's a ludicrous assumption, forget I said it." Nexev turned to Joe and sighed sympathetically "Must be tough hauling the ratcat around, tread carefully, if you step too surely you may end up like me, or worse him." Nexev then withdrew the chain cage. "I really don't feel like pounding you like this, it's a bit... awkward. How about we settle this with a nice game of Kings in the Corner? Less pain, less chance for death, less wanton destruction, isn't that the whole reason we fight?"

Nexev paced then came to a realization "Wait, no, that wasn't it was it? Maybe for the others but it wasn't for me, wasn't for us we fought for glory, fought not to save others but to save ourselves. It was the only thing that allowed us to know we were alive and that it was a good thing. Looking at smiling faces, it allowed me a few seconds to assure myself I was more important than I truly was, then they turned on me, merely for surviving. Do you know what it's like? To have done your best for the world to tell you it's not good enough? The only respect I was ever truly given was from my enemies, as it will be with you someday." Nexev went to a fighting stance "In short, even though there are many ways to fight, this is the only way we are able to do it, it's the only thing a ranger can do, if you are even slightly less than par at it the world will rip you apart. I'm sorry but we must die, and with luck, maybe you can reserve our room in hell early."

Nexev then charged at joe with a near bestial fury, the wail of a man who drowned in a sea of emotion awhile ago and is merely a piece of driftwood being thrown at you from atop of a tidal wave.

Legion looked at Atlas. 'I suppose it would be enough to watch them. I know what they can do because I have seen it in the realm of possibility. But you are correct, it would be more worthwhile to see te true possibility take place. Although, that Nexev seems a touch dramatic for a ranger' he replied in kind, before looking into Atlas' eyes. 'I however, would never break my word. Even if we are beings of evil, by one cause or another, there will always be honour among our ranks. Why should we break our honour when we personally have nothing against the rangers?' he reasoned.

Atlas peered down at Legion and nodded in agreement. "Exactly. Some villains though have no honor. I'm glad to see our group does." He then gripped his hand and made two stone stools arise out of the ground. "Take a seat my friend" Atlas motioned as he took the larger seat for himself.

Zedren answered Sean's call. "Sean, we're running diagnostics at the moment. Too soon to tell, but either that is an amazing power clone, or it is the actual Emerald Powers in their original form. I'll know more after the scans, but be careful."

----

Joe looked at Nexev " Personally a game of kings or a pool match would be preferable, but this is most fitting I suppose. My apologies." Joe then charged Nexev as well and tried to throw the first attack; however, Nexev was too fast, and caught Joe's leg as he threw a roundhouse. Joe stood in awe as this Fallen Ranger clutched his boot. He was in a very bad position.

Legion made a slight chuckle as he took his seat, crossing his leg ofer the other kinda effimenently. 'So, my dear brother. Would you care to enlighten me as to how you inspired Loki to take such....extreme measures? I am sure you did not just slap him on the hand and told him to be good. Though, in your regard, a slap on the hand from you would more than likely cause you to lose it, but details, details' Legion remarked in a tone that could be amusement.

"Listen mate, I don't know why you rangers do what you do, and I don't have a big grand speech prepared like my partner there, but still, I must admit that you will justify any horrible thing you do by spewing out nonsense about justice and the good" Ralis then toke a small laugh while examining his cut armor, "Still at least you're willing to fight for the thing that you wish, that is something I respect Panther, not enough to let you go of course, that would just be doing a bad job." The Elephant Ranger then charged at his counterpart again, taking a stab at his chest with his left energy blade.

Just before the blade hit Sean, he used both of his hands to stop the blade from hitting him, similar to how a ninja would stop a shuriken before it came in contact with the face, but instead to the chest. He then lifted the blade out of his way, "Panther Punch!" He yelled as he then punched Ralis viciously in the chest, knocking him back a few feet. Sean then began to breathe hard. "You're good...but not good enough to face me! I'd like to see you do better than this!"

Nexev gave a laugh as he held Joe's foot. "Shame I don't have a feather, or you'd really be in some trouble would you? I remember when I got in a situation like this. Make sure to try a jab first, then block the counter and follow through then with the roundhouse, throws most people off their guard. Speaking of which..." Nexev twisted Joes foot, sending jolts of searing pain throughout the leg. "There is only one true crime and that is getting caught, if you do so then the catcher will condem you to whatever punishment he pleases. Guess what? You got caught? Now for my verdict, I declare you guilty of death, as such you are sentenced to.... survive." Nexev flings Joe with all of his strength at Sean (Roll: 20). Nexev then held out his hand and his weapon materialized, a black cross the size of him. Nexev looked at Ralis "This is a team, we should fight together, not just fighting the same enemies. I learned that the hard way."

Joe came crashing into Sean with a horrific blow, sending them both flying back and crashing to the ground. Joe steadily got up and helped Sean as well, "We're gonna need some help. Where are the others?" As Joe stood, his foot still hurt from the pain of when Nexev twisted it. 'Great.' Joe thought 'I can't really kick with this foot, nor use it for balance.' He then turned towards Nexev, "If that's how you want to play it, fine. Time to kick this up a notch." Joe raised one hand and immediately the Genesis Blade appeared. "Did your alternate dimension version of me have this as well? If so, you know what this means." Joe smirked. He still hadn't learned all of this blades tricks, but hoped his bluff / faith in miracles could help him either scare Nexev or win.

Meanwhile Atlas and Legion watched this fight with great amusement. "Well as far as how i pushed Loki to this ... let's just say I backed him into a wall. Or ... through the wall." He chuckled lightly. "Either way, he knows that if he causes problems I'll have no restraint in killing him. Whether he's in the body of my old friend or not." Atlas gripped his fist tightly, unable to hide some of his anger.

Legion's eye marked across to the fist. 'Calm yourself Atlas, bitterness won't get you far, considering your history. Loki will inevitably be destroyed; if Odin is a sacrifice in this, he would certainly prefer to move on in death than continue to be his son's little puppet. Although, that brings a curious question to my mind. If, for just a moment you were released from Vile's control, would you have no hesitance in destroying me?' Legion inquired.

Nexev laughed "Yes, that's it, kill me. End this whole charade of my existence! DO IT I DARE YOU!" Nexev laughed for a few seconds as he walked closer to Joe. "But there's just one problem, the other you would have managed to have stopped me already." Nexev then swing the cross at Joe like it was an axe. (Roll 13) "Go on, show me what you are made of, show the world! You are it's only hope you know, start acting like it!" Nexev then gave a chuckle "Not that the world really deserves it though, but hey, it's not my place to judge celestial bodies. That won't stop me of course."

Joe waited for Nexev to swing, he then dodged to the side, waiting for Nexev to swing and be thrown off. When he was wide open, Joe slashed Nexev across the side, and the used his blade to pin down Nexev's cross. As Nexev struggled, Joe stomped on Nexev's ankle and then used a pendulum kick to the back of Nexev's leg to sweep him onto the ground. As Joe pinned him there he said, "If I am the world's only hope, then i guess I have no choice. But you still do. You said my punishment was living right, well ... that's your punishment now too. You know the power of the Genesis Blade. About how even just one slash can leave a dangerous energy charge, but i chose to compress that ability that time. That being said, you know that there is someone stronger, and you have to live with it."

-----

Meanwhile Atlas thought about what Legion had asked. "I'm not quite sure. At first I wanted to destroy everything of Vile's when he took control of me, but i have a strange feeling. As if ... this is what Fate had intended. I am use to playing my part in the plans of the Sisters of Fate. All i can do is hope that their destined plan is a good one, for all involved."

Nexev started laughing, and laughing, and laughing. "What a disappointment, and here we was thinking you'd be a good little boy and be merciful! Do you know what we have seen? No, there is no way you could have. We've seen worlds get destroed, We've seen galaxy's ripped apart and pieced together. We have survived all of this. Plus we know you, more than you know yourself. You may be powerful, but your still weak. You can't kill us, you were able to stop the other monsters but we're different, we're a human being, with a soul and memories, you aren't the kinda guy who can just end those unless you had no choice, and the problem is, we haven't harmed any civilians, you therefore have the choice. Which naturally means you have no choice, we aren't so different. Well, we weren't so different."

Nexev, then demorphed, turning into a frail young teenager with gwhite hair and red eyes, Nexev then reached for his morpher and with a flash Nexev was back in his ranger outfit, the powersurge from the morphing unbalancing Joe enough for Nexev to escape the pin. Nexev scurried away, pausing only to grab his cross and stood next to Ralis.

"We may know who will win but the camera's still rolling, the game is still on. We can't quit, we have to keep playing."

Legion actually laughed from Atlas' comment. 'It is funny really; the concept of fate is really quite tricky when you think about it. There may never be a pre-determined path; the realm of possibility is endless, so many roads, too many outcomes. To know what will always happen is impossible, you will never know until the path is decided. I was not aware of Lokie's plan until it finally happened, as you can see. But, if you believe this is your new part....then play it to your fullest Atlas, that's all I can say' Legion stated with an unusual amount of emotion.

Atlas smirked back. "That was the fault of the sisters of Fate. They believed they knew everything, they never looked at the endless variables. Though I've grown quite good at reading roles in a bigger scheme." Atlas paused. "I too feel that you and Vile will play an important role in future events. Whether they be your own, or in someone else's." Atlas then looked back towards the fight after those haunting words.

---

Meanwhile Joe stood back up and realized his predicament. This Nexev really did know him, or some form of him. He knew that Joe could never kill another human being. Nexev, no matter how twisted and shattered, was still human. And seeing his human form really hit him hard. 'The Genesis Blade is far too strong. If only i knew how to use it's power in a more controlled sense.' He began to doubt himself. Joe then unclenched his hand and the Blade disappeared. "Guess I'll just have to find another way to stop you."

'I have taken to ignore whatever the future holds for me. It makes it less fun to always know the outcome' he answered and observed the fight. 'This new ranger is quite a sight. He is similar to me in his strategems. Manipulating the rangers to not finish the job. Tis a pity I suppose; to have such frail weakness. Although, you have that immunity whe it comes to the golden one. What will you do when the time comes that the two of you will fight? Or will friendship allow you to break Vile's control? Feh, I succintly doubt the latter; what good is friendship?' Legion questioned.

Nexev gave a laugh "No matter where you go, your still an average Joe. That's good to hear. Those morals of yours, don't EVER lose sight of it." Nexev pointed the cross at Joe"It's the only thing keeping you..." Nexev then made the cross disaper and pointed to himself. "From being me. There is a thin line for fighthing for truth and just fighting. " Nexev smirked "Rest assured, one day we will fight together, it is only a matter of when and where. Until that time, keep in touch." Nexev tosses Joe a small black cellphone, Don't worry, my number's built in. Now then, I think it is time I'll be going. Rest assured this isn't like some movie were you'll keep getting closer till you finally topple us, we will be getting stronger and it's only going to get harder from here on out. Ralis, play with the kitty later, we must practice first."

Nexev stabbed the ground with his claw and laughed as the earth swalled him up.
