Zedren clicked on the computer for several minutes. "Sorry Caoimhin. We can't find anyone like that. Old man is not really specific enough but even so ... either he's not there anymore or he only likes to be seen when he chooses to be. You said yourself that he was cryptic - which means he's not going to be easy to find."

Izabel breathed in a few minutes of fresh air. She enjoyed being out, but she didn't want to get used to it cause she knew she was going back. But she'd be out for good soon. She had a feeling. "Okay, ready to go back." she said.

"That's ok Zedren. I appreciate the help you've given me. He'll appear when he wants to but the timing of his arrival does raise some questions." Caoimhin paused for a moment to think about what purpose the gentleman was here for. "You think that maybe he's connected to Akhom?" Caoimhin asked Zedren, seeing as he had more wisdom compared to Caoimhin. "He has only appeared after that demon's appearance."

Zedren chuckled a little. "I seriously doubt that Akhom is a package deal. hahaha But this man you speak of seems most intriguing. He is certainly not normal if he got into the base to leave you a letter without detection. I mean, he would of had to be right in front of you. This guy is certainly stealthy. Hmm ... stealthy, cryptic ... sounds like Akhom." He said in a joking tone. "but seriously, i doubt Akhom's got an accomplice." he assured Caoimhin.

'Alright then' Legion said as he took Izabel's hand and suhered her through a portal. It closed as she went through it. He sighed and sat on the grass overlooking the ocean. 'This is a rather enchanting view, it's quite peaceful. Maybe, when I die, I'll get to see the ocean again' he remarked. 'That's a little grim, hoping for your own death'. 'Maybe it is, but it is also sentimental. I was born a complete being, although, it would have been nice to have been given a personality, it's difficult trying to work with all these random moods swings'.

"I'm not saying Akhom has an accomplice. That would be a weird pairing which seems very unlikely to happen." Caoimhin slowly shook his head. "What if, theoretically, it is Akhom's other half. They are on two different ends of the spectrum and as I think about it the visions of what happened with Hades and Akhom never did show what happened to Akhom's physical body after his spirit was sealed into that weapon. What if the timing of it isn't a coincidence and this old man is like the physical being of Akhom, albeit an aged physical being, but look at me, millenia years old and I have barely changed. I bet the same could be the same for you so it's not too far-fetched if you consider that the lack of magic left in the body after the seperation merely slowed down the rate of the aging process. Maybe this old dude was the more sensible side of Akhom and whatever magic had stayed in the body kept it alive and has been waiting for the spirit to return to the universe again." Caoimhin looked down at the ground and sighed. "I probably talking a load of nonsense and should just forget about it."

Zedren giggled a bit. "Well as per my little demonstration before,i still think Akhom's missing half is Joe. and vice versa. But even that is a stretch. You're on the other hand I personally don't agree with at all." Zedren paused. "From what I've experienced, once a soul is removed from the body, that is it. You could place another soul into it ... or place the removed soul into another body ... but that won't last. A soul and body are paired. If one is without the other ... it will errode. and the body will requect the soul. So even if that is Akhom's original body ... how is it moving and have a personality if Akhom's soul is removed. So no ... i dont think that is Akhom. although it appears you have Akhom on the brain more than others lately. Any reason for that?" Zedren asked

"I can't discuss that with you right now. I still have many things to plan out before I even dare to tell anyone in case something disrupts the flow of it all and It's best if you don't ask any more about it. " Caoimhin replied back to Zedren, trying to keep hush of his idea. "Kinda wished that dude was Akhom's body, I would have been right calling him old man and I would have felt young again. Anyway, heard anything from our foes at all? They seem to be very quiet lately."

Near the bay where a royal sword was once found, was now nothing but rock and wave. Arguably it should just be wave. It was calm and the wind blew much like a calm zephyr. A flash of green and black, and an odd swirling vortex was now where the sword once was. A hand extended from the vortex, then another, and it grasped at what appeared to be walls. With a stretch a man was pulled out, flopping to the ground. The vortex disappeared and he lifted himself up. A wide assortment of weaponry seemed to be hung from his back and in various scabbards on him. The dark haired man sighed.

"Now where the hell is Joe...?"

Just as Caoimhin said those words the alarm sounded. The screen immediately flashed to Angel Bay mall. GriffEnd was tearing the place apart as people ran screaming. "Come out come out rangers. Let's end it." He squawked.

Zedren looked at Caoimhin, "Get Sean and Brandon. Hopefully Nexev and Ralis are around." Zedren preempted Caoimhin's questioning face. "We're gonna need the help."

As the figure approached from the void, another figure stirred from the nearby rock. "Well, well ... looky who's finally back. I was wondering when you'd show up. I've been spending my nights here ever since Diabolico and Ecliptor dropped the ball." He spoke in a sarcastic tone, but yet was pleased to see the figure. He had long white hair and noticeable tattoos on his body. He dressed in a long white cloak, and his pointed ears told of his demon origin.

Caoimhin, Brandon and Sean were teleported to the Angel Bay Mall, all three of them instantly started to survey the area for any sign of GriffEnd. They need to be the first ones to strike of they knew of GriffEnd's deadly capabilities and he need to be caught off guard to make any strike make connect with the beast's body. Although, Caoimhin had another objective which was to speak to GriffEnd alone if possible. "Ok guys, we should spilt up and search for GriffEnd..." Caoimhin commanded the other two. "But keep in constant communication, we can't fight GriffEnd alone with his immense speed."

The mall was a complete wreck. Various parts of it were falling appart. Loud crashes were heard all around. It was unsure if it was GriffEnd or pieces of concrete falling from the structural damage.

Sean walking down the center path spied much debris. He then heard a sound calling for help. He rushed over and found a woman and small child trapped under the rubble. "Don't worry" he assured them. He then got a good grip on the rubble and tried to lift it. It was too heavy. He then took out his lance and pried it under the rubble for more leverage. He eventually toppled the huge piece of concrete and rescued the woman and child. They thanked him and then ran off in the direction of the exit Sean pointed to.

He then radio'd the others. "Nothing so far over here. A few survivors but i got them to safety. I'll update you if I find anything else."

Legion was sitting high atop a piece of ruined building. As usual GriffEND showed little grace in his work, just mercilessly destroying buildings and attempts on human life. That was becomming a bit of gray area, harming the humans. But, there'd be no point in bringing it up. He dusted his legs off as he pushed himself above the building. 'The rangers are here' Broodwing commented. 'As they would, considering that this perticular human town doens't seem to have a working police force' Legion replied.

Caoimhin carefully walked amongst the wreckage, noticing the claw marks on the wall that GriffEnd had made. "Would Vile go as low as to actually order the harming of the innocent, it doesn't happen often as far as I can remember but why is he acting this sadistic now?" Caoimhin asked himself as he walked over a medium sized pile of rubble. "Where did that overgrown christmas turkey go to now? I need to find him alone while they are nowhere in sight. I need to get him and Legion for help."

Dom adjusted himself, brushing off the rock and dust that had collected over his jacket. "I'm sorry, you are?" He glanced at the mysterious fellow to his right, he seemed familiar. Given his attire, probably another villain trying to make a name for himself or something silly. Maybe a demon that got bored? Probably the latter. "Normally demons don't bother me. Apparently I'm too annoying to catch first," The first thing he learned from his travels was that demons were prideful creatures. An insult here and there and their ego would eventually flip. Eventually. "And secondly, I kill them anyways."

As Caoimhin walked around the debris, he suddenly felt his body go rigid. He couldn't move his body at all. Suddenly there was a slight rustle from the second level. "Well well, one little ranger all alone." It was GriffEnd. He lept down from the second floor and landed in front of Caoimhin. GriffEnd's imposing frame stood before Caoimhin. "Why aren't you with your friends?" he asked in a sly tone.

---------------

Akhom laughed a little bit and scratched his head. "Well then, if that's the case you and I should get along just fine." He smirked. "It's a shame we never got to hang out much in our past lives. Although, it seems that our present incarnations were quite the classic enemies to friend story. But I'm sorry, you've been gone a while. So let me fill you in ... the name's Akhom - whether or not you've heard of me really makes no difference. And until he recovers, I'm Joe's substitute. He's the one who told me to guard your little portal."

"It's simple...I'm alone so I can ask you to get Legion for me and the three can speak to each other as I make a proposition for you both." Caoimhin stated to GriffEnd, he was certain GriffEnd would at least listen to what he had to say. "All I want is you help in defeating Akhom so I no longer have to be bothered by him any more and I can focus on defeating you afterwards. Also, I want to add another proposal to Legion involving the freedom of the girl. Joe is dead so why bother with her now and with what I what to suggest to him seems like a bargain as well. I want to exchange my morpher for the girl and Auric."

GriffEnd let out an echoing shirek of laughter. "Why in the world would I do that? One, there's nothing in it for me. Two, why do we need your morpher when i could just as easily kill you AND the others. That's my duty. I could care less about Akhom. Vile said to destroy you all once and for all. So I took the initiative and decided what better way to lure you out then killing the innocent right?" He then peer into Caoimhin's face and let out a foul breath. It smelled like rotten fish and decay. "If my brother so wishes to talk to you, then fine. But it's not going to stop me in what I'm meant to do." GriffEnd declared and swung his tail around slamming into Caoimhin's chest. The freeze spell was broken and Caoimhin went flying into one of the pillars, leaving an imprint of his body as he fell to the ground.

Caoimhin got back up on his feet and brushed off the dirt on his clothing. "That's a shame because I bet you would be interested in fighting Akhom as you should know that he is actually faster than you. Compared to him you are the tortoise in the race and I know he could beat your freezing of motion with ease then murder you before you can blink. If I were you I'd be pretty jealous that after all your gloating there's someone even faster than you." Caoimhin hoped that little bit of mocking would somehow change his mind. "If you don't really care then that's your choice and I will fight you now but I get the feeling Vile will soon enough dispose of you for a better model, called Akhom." Caoimhin then morphed into his ranger form. "So how does that make you fell?"

GriffEnd let out a loud shriek that shattered the walls around Caoimhin. (roll: 13 - beat to dodge) GriffEnd then gave an angry look at Caoimhin. "Watch your tongue. I'll destroy Akhom after you. NO ONE IS FASTER THAN ME!!!!!" He screamed loudly. "And I'd never ask for the likes of you for help. My master has already discussed this with us. Akhom is not a priority. Our missions are you rangers, Deos, Loki, and some new entity. Akhom isn't a ...."

GriffEnd then thought for a moment of Vile's words to Legion. He started mumbling to himself. "Master said to try to convert him. To use strong opponents as a lure. Master would never replace me." GriffEnd was clenching his talons. Blasts of wind were radiating from him as his anger grew. "You lie. YOU LIE!!!!!!"

'GriffEND' Legion snapped as he appeared nearby. 'Don't be so rude to our guest' he chided and faced Cao. 'You want to make a deal do you? Don't worry, I heard everything. And I decline each one you want; your morpher is completely useless to us, considering the most important is the Golden Morpher. And even if you did trade the girl and Auric for your morpher, I couldn't promise they'd return to you in one piece either. Not that they're in one piece right now, but such is life they say'.

"So the Golden Morpher is your objective. I think I can see why now...but...for someone as intelligent as you, you fail to see that if you help me kill Akhom then the morpher will be without a possessor and you could take it from the warm, dead body. I can't beat you in a fight so it would already be in your hands. And as for my morpher for the girl and Auric...one, you will have one more ranger out of the way and two, you would have the meaningless prisoners gone from your sight and you no longer have to worry about them. I can tell you have honour so I highly doubt that you would have killed either of them and as for them being in pieces as you say, well, prison can be tormenting on a person's mind and we will help them in any way we can." Caoimhin explianed to Legion as he walked over to the two of them. "So have a think about that and give me your answer."

Legion laughed sincerely. 'My my my, so the ranger has some skill. But the answer is still no, trust me, I gave her the option to leave, but she didn't take. She is there of her own free will, and not even I could change that ranger' he said. 'Besides, Akhom, she and I have reached an understanding, one that you would do best to stay out of'. If he has a visible face he would be grinning now. 'Also, why would I want the morpher of a broken ranger? You think his taunting you was bad GriffEND, you should hear what he has to say about himself. 'Oh I'm so weak, I'll never be good enough to defeat Akhom or Atlas. Whoa as me, thousands of years of legacy down the drain' Legion said mockingly.

GriffEnd perked up at hearing this. He pushed Legion to the side and again peered down at Caoimhin. "So you're the little guardian that couldn't it seems. gwagwagwagwa." His voice was irritating. "I don't even have to kill you. It looks like you're doing a good enough job of killing yourself. gwagwagwa" He then raised his hand and then slapped Caoimhin in the face with the back of his hand. It was meant more as an insult than an offensive strike.

"I may be what you call a broken ranger but at least I have been trying to fighting you all with what limited powers even though I just end up being utterly defeated. You do have to give me credit of that. And I wish I knew what that understanding is that you all have...maybe it has something to do with Joseph. I hope so because then I might reconsider this offer myself now, if Joseph is alive then I shouldn't try thinking up of way to attempt on killing Akhom." Caoimhin unmorphed and stared at Legion. "If Joseph is alive then how did you find out about it all in the first place?...Akhom has shown no sign of it in front of me, although, maybe it was Izabel that has made you not attack him which would make more sense but you accepting that is hard to believe unless you have developed feelings for her. I've only heard of the captive developing feelings for the captor, not the other way round. Maybe you ain't as heartless as I thought." Caoimhin then stopped his rambling.

Legion snorted loudly. 'If Joseph were still alive, don't you think I'd put a little more effort into killling Akhom? Why kill only when threat when you can get two birds with one stone, no offence' Legion stated, casting a look at GriffEND. He folded his arms knowingly. 'I may have allowed the girl a simple request in keeping the body of her dead lover alive, trivial sentimentality if you ask me. Humans are strange like that, finding value in even the most silliest of trinkets and corpses'.
