Caoimhin left the base and began walking through the city, remembering how different things were back when he first arrived on Earth. 10000 years ago the area was just full of fields and trees and full of wild animals that are now extinct. Caoimhin smiled as he remembered the day he killed a Smilodon for the first time on Earth, not for sport but for food, well...it did attack first and survival of the fittest proved that Caoimhin was fitter than a Smilodon in his youth...kinda impressed some of the primitive humans back then as well.

Caoimhin was now walking along the beach and fond memories of watching civilisation in parts of the world being made and how well they were growing in technology etc...although...there were many times he pitied them all when he saw them creating war between each other for gold, territory, religion and whatever else. He hoped they would change there ways for a Utopia Zordon wished the planet would be, just one place were war, pain, suffering and all the negatives in the world barely existed. Guess it was too much to ask.

Caoimhin sat down on the warm sand in the beach and looked up into the sky and wondered if his people still exist in whatever prison or slavery they have been forced into or is he the last one in the universe. Maybe this world will end up the same someday if the humans give up trying to fight for there survival, heck right now in the battle against evil the only active ones in the present time is a human from a possible paradox future and a small bunch of aliens, maybe it is the time for Earth to succumb to the forces of evil and become their slaves. "Hopefully I won't walk into any trouble with Legion and the others." he said to himself and got back up of the sand and went walking some more to contemplate his own future.

Legion bowed courteously. 'I knew you were going to say that' he joked to her, then sighed. 'Yes, I'll admit Vile has been keeping up a running hatred with the rangers, almost in a way that gives me doubts about him. But enough of that...; I did want to meet you, even as a creation of evil I was hoping we could establish a rapport of some kind, after all, family runs deep. Though, I can't say the same for the few minutes older GriffEND' he replied, then paused. 'You knew how I was created? How; tell me please' Legion begged.

She shook her head. "Such in depth questions. You're the second visitor today to ask such probing questions." She paused and then looked at Legion dead on.

"You're an amalgam. A composite of soulless beasts. In addition you have the spirit of a treacherous minion. And yet, Vile placed the most of himself within you." She got off her throne and walked a bit. "Tell me this ... what makes up a being? What's the difference between creating something and begetting something?" She didn't give Legion time to answer. "To create something is to make something less than you, but to beget is to make something equal to you. For example, when a human gives birth, that child is begotten. HOWEVER, if a human makes ... a desk, or even a robot or something (no matter how advanced), that thing is created. By all means ... you were 'created'; however, Vile saw to it that part of himself ended up in you." she paused.

"For some reason or another he chose to beget you. Unlike GriffEnd and MeteorKnight. No matter how strong they are or may become, you are the more complete being. What Vile's reasoning or plan for that was ... i can't truly say. That part still escapes me."

While Caoimhin sat on the beach, an elderly gentleman approached him. He looked as though in his late 50s, mid 60s. He has a grayish beard and short white hair. "Beautiful day it is." He said as if to no one. He then turned to face Caoimhin. "Well my boy, you looked trouble. Care to get something off your chest?" He spoke in a very proper Scottish/British accent. He placed his cane to the side and took a seat on one of the rocks near Caoimhin.

"I guess I can tell you, old man." Caoimhin said to the gentleman and almost laughed from calling him old man, the fact that Caoimhin is millenia years senior to the gentleman and yet still called him old man seemed humorous to Caoimhin. Caoimhin took a minute to think about how to explain it to the old man without giving away his identity as a Ranger. "You see, there's a few groups within my local area that are our rivals and they keep attacking us and mocking us as they continue to beat us in fight and trash our homes in the process. There's only a few of us in this small group as many are left either unconscious or have ran away from their duties to protect our neighbourhood and the pressure to keep doing what we're doing is become more and more unbearable and hopeless with each passing minute. No one else can help us in our troubles so it's pointless in calling the cops or anything like that and now I'm starting to wonder whether or not I show leave the place and start a new life elsewhere."

'Traitorous minion' Legion repeated. 'I wouldn't say I betrayed Vile, but, I have a history' Broodwing answered. 'This is quite, a lot to handle. He saw some himself into to me, to make me whole. Perhaps, where it all goes black' he rambled. He shook his head quickly. 'Thank you for your time Queen of Good Magic, I may see you again' he declared with a quick bow and left.

He reappeared in Izabel's room. 'We need to tak' he stated.

Izabel didn't look at Legion. She simply stated "Give me a second." She picked up a card and then put it in her hand. She then placed another from her hand down. There was a moment of silence and then "GIN!" She laid her hand on the bed to reveal the cards. Auric stood up and threw his cards against the wall in a frustrated manner. Izabel smirked at this amusingly. She then turned to Legion. "What's up?"

----------

The old man was silent for a second. It was hard to tell if he was listening or not. "Look at the ocean. Every day its in constant motion. An ebb and flow. See right now, it's low tide. The water is so far away from us. But I promise you ... if you stick around long enough, things will change. And pretty soon ... the waves will reach where you and I sit." He still stared off into the distance. He looked back at Caoimhin "I'm sorry, what were you saying?" He smiled kindly.

It was hard to tell if the gentleman had completely spaced Caoimhin out ... or ... if there was a deeper truth within his words.

'Comewithme' he said quickly, grabbing her hand and teleporting her away.

They reappeared on top of a large cliff overlooking the ocean. 'Sorry about that, I wanted a more private instance to talk, beyond the ears of Vile or Auric' he apologised. He sat down on the grass and looked off intot he ocean. 'I met my sister today, we talked and she told me how I was created. My body was crafted from soulless beasts and the spirit of a sacrifice. Then, he poured some of his life in me. I was created yet ensured I was begotten. This probably is menaingless to you, but, I just can't understand it all'.

Izabel breathed in the fresh air. It was nice to be back outside. she then turned to Legion "You have a sister? Then who's your dad. Vile? i'm sorry, i don't really understand how all these evil monster things work." She paused. "If I had to guess ... I'd assume that the fact you were begotten means you're more of a complete being or person? You'd need someone of more wisdom to help you on this one. I really don't know what to say."

--------

Meanwhile underground, Sean looked at Akhom "You're word right. Sorry, but as I mentioned before, I have a slight distrust of people offering me power from now on."

Akhom giggled "No worries Sean, I already explained everything to the deal. No fine print. Nothing. Just keep this a secret and let me know from time to time what's going on in the ranger base. I know i could pop in and out, but that's kinda risky."

Sean nodded "Very well then." He met Akhoms hand and shook it. "I still don't know why you're being so nice to me."

Akhom smirked "That is a good question, but sadly ... one we don't have time to answer."

A second or two later, there was a crackle of thunder. Sean looked frightened. Akhom spoke in a calm voice. "That would be my spell being canceled out." There was then a louder crash. "And that would be a wall of water rushing towards us as high tide starts to come in." Akhom said in an equally calm detached voice. A huge wave, almost the height of the cave was rushing towards them. Akhom quickly grabbed Sean and teleported out of the cavern and back to the spot where Sean was originally sitting. Sean fell flat on his face. "Sorry bout that, not used to passengers yet. Anyway ... see yah." He then disappeared.

Sean shook off the shock. "What a strange day. But at least i know what happened to me that day. I should let Zedren know, i'm sure Caoimihn will bring it up to him ... so i should have something to say." Sean then continued to walk back to the ranger base.

'My sister is Rita Repulsa, now the Queen of all Good Magic, or the Mystic Mother, take your pick. *sighs* Vile ensured I was begotten, I guess he wanted a legitimate heir, or something like that. This is frustrating me, I just can't understand all this, so many thoughts, ideaa and concepts come to mind. It is tearing me apart just tyring to understand them all' Legion bemoaned. This was becomming frustrating to him, he stood up and took a deep breath. 'I JUST DON'T GET IT!' he roared, his voicing echoing slightly. He was panting at this point.

"Don't try and trick me with that crap, old man. You were listening and you was trying to use the ocean to explain my situation. Sorry, but I do believe that it will change for me, like there is a barrier in front of the ocean of my own life so the tide could never change from low to high or from bad to good in terms of my own situation." Caoimhin replied to the old man, a little smug that he understood what the gentleman was trying to get at. "Do you think a person with a good heart could be forgiven if he decieves people? I think I have one last idea to change one part of my irritating predicament but I'm not sure if I should take that path to achieve it."

The man looked unmoved by Caoimhin's words. "The ocean is a peculiar thing. It can be gentle as a lamb, but other times ... it's the most powerful force on Earth." He then looked at Caoimhin. "Whatever constraint you put upon it, it will eventually break free."

The old man got up and turned to walk away, but before he did he turned to Caoimhin. "You will find the answers my friend. Stop seeing things with resentment and narrow mindedness ... and open your eyes. Accept those around you. Remember ... No man is an army. No one is important enough to assume all the blame.

If you expect the best, the best will happen." The man smiled again and started to walk off.

...those words. There was something familiar about those words.

----------

Izabel waited for Legion to stop screaming. "Well ... maybe you're not supposed to get it just yet. I guess it's one of those wait and see kind of things." She shrugged. "Wait ... you can see the future right? So can't you see your own? Actually ... on second thought ... If you can do that, I wouldn't. Don't look into your future."

Caoimhin stayed sat on the beach and thought about what the old man said. "I hate it when people go all cryptic on me. Never was the smartest person back on my planet, I was average I guess. Wish that old man would be straight with me. 'No man is an army blah blah bl-...wait a second...that sounds familiar somehow." Caoimhin had a flashback of the letter that appeared out of nowhere. He immediately jumped up on his feet and looked out for the gentleman but he was out of sight. "Damn, wonder if that old man is more than just an old man?" Caoimhin slowly headed back to base as he pondered about who or what the old man is for a few minutes but was unable to some to some logical explain with little evidence on the being. "In any case, I've got one more plan to try..." he then let out a sigh "...but I don't know how to get in contact with Legion."

Legion shook his head sadly. 'No, whilst I could see into my future, my life is too, hectic to get a true reading. To be honest, my best premonitions are usually the moments before the now. That is to say those that will become the now whilst the now is now, if that makes any sense. But, the most worrying thing for my future is the blackness; I see nothing but darkness in my future, just mere seconds after Vile. I don't know what it entails, but, it seems to be a fairly grim future' he explained

Iza was silent. The wind was blowing her hair into her face. "Well" she finally spoke up "Joe always says that its darkest before the dawn. Maybe you just can't see that far in the future. I say don't worry about it. Ever hear the story of Oedipus. He ran away from home when he heard he would kill his dad and marry his mom, only he didn't know he was adopted. And on the path he took to escape his destiny, he killed a king and married a queen (who were his real mom and dad). One usually meets his destiny ... on the path he takes to avoid it." she said. she then paused a second.

"But again. Maybe talk to someone else about this. Auric has a deeper knowledge than I." she shrugged. she then walked a few feet away and bent over. she seemed to be grabbing something. She then walked back over and handed something to Legion. It was a single beautiful blue flower with a yellow inside. "It's called a Forget Me Not. This is to remind you that you don't have to do anything. You can change your future and get a second chance. Hey!" she exclaimed. "I think I just found another meaning to what Akhom told you. "Maybe he also meant you can get one too." she smirked and then turned away and shrugged "I know I know ... eternal optimist aren't I." she giggled a bit.

Legion held the flower, which he stuffed into his hood. 'Yes, eternally optimistic...' he commented. 'That's precisely what I need, optimism. Of course, I don't think, I can get it normally. I think you may be more useful' he said, his tone unnerving as he approached. 'If I devour you, I think I may get what I need. It wouldn't hurt, it would be relatively painless. It would just feel like slowly going off to sleep forever, painless' he said, his tone more threatening now.

Izabel backed away a little bit. She would usually call Legion's bluff, but this time was different. His voice was very deep. and he was known for crazy mood wings. "Wait ... you're kidding right." she kept backing away. "I swear to God ... don't you dare. What about the deal?" There was fear in her eyes. "You know Joe will rip you to pieces when he finds out. That is if Auric doesn't get to you first."

She didn't know where they were, but she hoped it would be within shouting distance of someone.

'Let them come' he said, taking a step forward. He then stopped, unable to repress the laughter anymore. The sound carried across the cliff. 'You, BA HA HA. You actually thought I was *snort* serious? BA HA HA!' he said, doubling over onto his knees. 'Look at you, BA HA HA! You still have that look. Ha ha ha, you still have the look' he laughed. This was, a remotely disturbing sight, pity this poor girl, pity her. 'I'm sorry, I just had to give it a shot. I heard it in your voice, you were petrified'.

Izabel scoffed at Legion. "hmph. You need to get a better sense of humor." She looked upset. "So, are we going back to the dungeon or are you letting me go?" She asked, still with an upset look on her face. Her arms folded.

Meanwhile, Sean had found Zedren and told him about what had happened - as far as Gargantia. He left the part about getting his powers back secret, as promised. Zedren nodded his head "Well that certainly explains a lot. It also reveals the fate of Vent, and explains why Gargantia hasn't showed up anymore. It was nice of Akhom to show you all this."

Sean nodded and then excused himself back to his room, but before he left he turned to Zedren and said, "About what you said earlier ... I'm staying hopeful." and smiled.

Zedren smiled back and nodded his head. He was pleased.

Caoimhin entered the HQ, walked over to the newly repaired main computer and sat down infront of it staring at the buttons. "Hope this is the same as the controls back in the old base that Alpha 5 taught me to use." he said to himself and started pressing buttons to hopefully hack into the city's surveillance cameras to track down the old man from before and get some answers from him. After a couple of minutes of using the main computer it froze and all system began to shut down. "Crap!...what did I do wrong?!"

Legion was still laughing, but he slowed down. 'Let you go where? We are currently on one of the many cliffs of England' he declared. He finally got up. 'Look, maybe it was too dark a joke, but lighten up. Beautiful scenery, nice crisp sea air. I thought that was always a dream come true for you humans, a nice vacation with your lov- Ah, I get it now' he said and was silence. Clearly, spekaing nay further would've made this more awkward than it already was.

Izabel gave Legion a blank look. It was unsure if she heard what he was about to say or not. "So is this vacation over?" she asked blankly.

---------

Back in the command center, Caoimihn suddenly heard a familiar voice in response to his question "Well for starters ... it helps if you plug it in." It was Akhom. He was sitting on top of one of the nearby computers swinging the power plug in his hand. He was smiling smugly. He then dropped the chord on the floor and raised his hands "Look, i didn't come here to fight but i did come to tell you this." He was silent for a moment and then spoke. "Stay away from Blood Seals, or anything else that utilizes your blood. It's just not your style." he offered

Caoimhin looked down at his wounded hand for a couple of seconds then looked straight back up at Akhom. "So what is my style then? Letting myself be utterly defeated constantly?" remarked Caoimhin as he stared at Akhom. "Is that all you've come to tell me or is there more to this conversation because I am not interested in what you've been up to. In fact, at this very moment in time, you are the least important person in my mind right now so let me get this computer working then I can find that old man again."

Akhom gave Caoimhin a blank look. "Well obviously this is a bad time." He pumped down and plugged the computer back into the power socket. He then walked over to a rotating chair in the far side of the room and sat down. He began spinning on the chair like a child. "Take you're time, I'll wait."

A moment or so later, Zedren walked into the room. "Caoimhin, if you need me I'll be in my private library." He then heard the squeaking of the chair and looked towards the corner. "Akhom?" he laughed a little bit "What are you doing here?" He had a soft tone to his voice like he was talking to a small kid.

"I was bored." Akhom said as he spun around in the chair. "So how've you been?"

"Pretty swamped with work as you can guess" Zedren admitted

Akhom lept out of the chair, completely balanced - eventhough he had been spinning constantly for about 2 minutes straight now. "You need a vacation. Fishing. Or something of the sort." Akhom offered

Zedren laughed. "Another time perhaps. I'll bring the pizza." he said remembering how much Akhom enjoyed it the first and last time they met. He then extended his hand for a hand shake.

Akhom's ears perked up. "It's a deal!" He said smiling. He then shook Zedren's hand. He then turned to Caoimhin and said "If you're looking for a regular old man ... I suggest taking out a personal add in the paper. Something like: 'Old man seeks not as old man'." Caoimhin stuck his tongue out at him and disappeared before Caoimhin had time to get upset.

Zedren chuckled a bit and then went over to sit next to Caoimhin. "Need any help?"

"Would be useful if you did help me." Caoimhin replied back to Zedren as he quickly flicked through the surveillance cameras to find the old man. "Mabye you can help with finding this elusive person who is more mysterious than I originally thought. His last words to me before he left were very similar to what was on a note with appeared from nowhere and I'm begin to think he's the cause of that. I need more answers from him about how he is even though I know I'm only going to get some irritating cryptic reply from him." Caoimhin looked up at Zedren. "He shouldn't be too hard to find. He does look like the stereotypical version of an old english gentleman."

'Awww, I thought you liked spending time with me' Legion said in a childish voice. He laughed again, but it was mor composed. 'But, if you want to leave that's fine. We probably won't be able to do this again though, so get whatever living you want done in the new five minutes'. He then sat on the grass and began to watch the waves. 'You're hitting it off quite well now' Broodwing said. 'Be quiet, I'm not in the mood for your backseat commentary'.
