Izebel and Auric sat on the bed playing cards, each one drinking a beverage of sorts. Auric had just finished dealing the cards when Legion had entered. Izabel didn't look at Legion, but only raised a hand and said "Give me a sec." She looked back at her hand for a second, then looked slyly up at Auric and proclaimed "GIN!"

Auric lowered his head. "That's the 6th time in a row."

"Well to be fair" Izabel offered "You got to shuffle better. I'll teach you that in a second. Can you get us some more drinks?"

Auric sprung off the bed. "Excellent. Auric is most intrigued by this 'shuffle' you speak of." He then went over to the corner and magically made a bar appear. He then mixed different ice creams and water of sorts and starting mixing them.

Izabel smiled and then looked over at Legion as she shuffled the cards. "A message huh? What is it? By the way, do you want a milkshake?" She politely offered.

As Caoimihn was lecturing himself in the base, as he looked down there was a note at his feet. It was on nice paper and in fine print.

No man is an army. No one is important enough to assume all the blame.

If you expect the best, the best will happen. ~ a friend

Akhom and Sean finally reached the end of the tunnel. They came upon a circular room, it was a mess. There were slash marks along the wall. The dirt was kicked up, it looked as though there had been quite the struggle .... for someone. Akhom turned to Sean "Nice reflexes bud. I'm impressed. As promised, the missing part of your story." He then waved his hand at the room "Behold, Gargantia's final moments."

He let Sean take it in for a moment. "There was apparently a very large struggle between Gargantia and an unconfirmed assailant." He paused "And due to the lack of security, I'd say Gargantia's entire army of strikers were killed as well. It was quite thorough." He then motioned Sean over to one spot in the corner. "Notice the scratching, the clawing. I recognize these tracks." He took a deep breath, almost as if to either savor a fond memory or to give a moment of silence for the fallen "They're the tracks of someone who is about to die." He let that sink it.

"See how they scrape against the floor erratically. Inching ever closer to the wall. Gargantia ran out of options. I doubt he even had any to begin with. He was stalked mercilessly." Also look there. He pointed to a frightening sight. A corpse ... of a ranger suit. Turned to wood and stone it appeared. "The effects of a Gargantile Seed I supposed." He turned to Sean "We have something similar to it in Demon Legend, though not as sever as that." He then hurried Sean over to another set of tracks. "Remember those I just showed you, look at these. They look smaller right. But yet exactly the same. They're not Strikers footprints, those we've seen throughout the entire cave system, 2 toes ... and less weight on them. These are exactly like the others ... but smaller." He let that sink in before explaining it to Sean to save time "If you look at all the footprints closely and trace them and such - trust me, I have - they get slightly bigger as this 'battle' progressed. During the fight, Gargantia was draining your energy and making himself stronger - only to replace your power with a temporary substitute. I believe this fight happened concurrently with the fight you spoke of earlier - between you and the rest of the ranger, when you lost your powers. Eventually, Gargantia was soo horrifically beaten ... the rate of his beating FAR exceeded the rate he was using your energy to grow stronger and regenerate. Thus the Seed disintegrated and you were spared from the same fate." He again pointed to the blue ranger corpse.

Akhom gave Sean a second to catch his breath, but only a second since they were running short on time, "The reason I think you were correct about MeteorKnight is this ... For starters, he doesn't walk, he floats. Which would explain the single set of tracks. But most of all, he absorbs powers from what I remember. He had a small portion of your Emerald Ranger powers. And that's all he would of needed to sever Gargantia's life as well as your powers." Akhom took a breath.

"Time for some more magic explanations. Remember before when i mentioned 'equivalent exchange' and how that makes a spell more powerful or weaker. Well ... MeteorKnight used the Forbidden Seal. I'll skip how it works and just apply it to this situation. MeteorKnight used your powers to begin the incantation. He only needed a bit. The Spirits invoked by the Seal transport the target to an eternal hell. As far as we're concerned, it erases the target from existence, but in reality the soul is tortured for all times. However, as much fun as the Spirit have in torturing the target, they still want more, thus why it's called the FORBIDDEN SEAL. Absolutely horrific to your target ... as well as the one who calls it. The Spirits then hunt down the person who made the seal, and drain them of their life force. MeteorKnight tricked the Spirits by offering them only the absorbed Emerald Ranger Powers he got from you in a previous fight. The Spirits drained all traces of the Emerald Ranger Power - from MeteorKnight, and mostly from you. MeteorKnight found a way to invoke the Forbidden Seal and lose nothing."

For this Akhom gave Sean a full minute to process this. He knew it was a big one. But he could only afford a minute cause time was running short and Akhom had one final thing to speak of. "If you want a slightly bright side for the moment, since MeteorKnight used pure power to invoke the seal - your life wasn't affected. Which is why you aren't in a 'missing dimension' being tortured with Gargantia right now." Akhom offered

Legion raised his hand. 'No thank you, I can't stand the sweet stuff. Probably something to do with my bioology but I digress' he replied curtiously. 'Well well well, look whose playing the charmer' Broodwing commented. 'Not now Broodwing, this is kind of important to me' Legion replied back. He took a deep breath. 'Akhom wanted me to tell you this: "You wanted a second chance. Well, here it is" Legion repeated loudly, imitating Akhom's tone.

Caoimhin quickly read the note on the paper then looked down the hallway to find no one was there and instantly moved his line of sight up at the ceiling thinking Akhom was back playing tricks again but not even he was around. "Weird...who could have given me this note?" Caoimhin wondering, scratching his head while trying to come up with a logical answer. Caoimhin got back up on his feet again and walked down the hallway once again, heading to Zedren's office, whilst staring at message on the paper. "A friend? There's not many friends in my life so which one is it?" Caoimhin shook his head as one thought appeared in his mind. "There's no way it's Zordon's doing."

Izabel's head perked up a second. She immediately scream, "Auric, how's those shakes coming?" It sounded quite anxious.

"YES!" Auric proclaimed loudly. "No need to fear. Auric has finished the beverages." He then walked over and handed Izabel one of them. She immediately took a big sip and almost drank it all at once. She then handed it to Auric for a refill, which he went to go get in a hurry. As he returned, she took a smaller sip and then looked at Legion.

"Akhom had that message for me? Might I inquire as to what second chance he is talking about?"

"Alright." Brandon said as he got the co-ordinants to the last position Caoimhin was Zedren recorded. In a flash of blue light he was bound to the destination. However, when he got halfway there, he suddenly stopped. Not only that, he was electrocuted by the power he was using and was forced back to the library. His right arm as well as his left eye was twitching with electricity when he got back and he had a sharp pain in his side. "What the...? How am I back in the library?" he asked himself as he ran looked for a book on dark magic and started reading in. In less then 15 minutes, he finshed the over 200 page book and found possibly the spell that was placed. He ran towards Zedren's office and noticed Caoimhin. "Wait. Weren't you supposed to be with Sean and Ahkom?" he asked him with some concern.

"I was but I failed with the exorcism attempt with Akhom having an acute sense of hearing and quick reflexes. He knows what I was trying to do but he's not harmed me and I think Sean isn't in any danger being with him right." Caoimhin replied to Brandon and sighed a little. "And it's not like I can do anything about it if Sean is in trouble now because Akhom put some sort of spell to stop anyone else from teleporting there. Most possibly to stop people from interfering in whatever it is that they are doing. The only thing close to being able to get past that probably involves freezing time as the spell might be inactive then...but that's just a theory and WAY beyond my capabilities anyway. So what have you been up to while I've been busy?"

"Well at first I was researching Ahkom in Zedren's private section. But, I managed to find something about demons and how they are classified. I also managed to find stuff about Queen Banshira in it too." Brandon said. "I wanted to go check out what was happening too, but in the middle of teleportation, I got shocked halfway and was forced back here. What he seemed to be using is a basic dark shielding spell. However, he made it all the more greater. His power is greater than I anticipated. I'm getting the feeling that he may know much more than just a shield however. Something probably destructive." he then looked at the book and thought. "Maybe we could put him to sleep with music. Wise men have said that music soothes the foul beast."

"He ain't that much of a foul beast really and knowing how he acts in front of us all, he'll somehow make an complete orchestral band and start conducting it all. Yep...certainly sounds like one of his possible antics if anyone tried that." sighed Caoimhin as he shook his head in dismay. "Anyway, you mentioned something about finding more information on demons so maybe you have found something of some use to us. Maybe even find the answer we are looking for in stopping Akhom."

Legion was put off by her bizzare reaction, but he did well to hide it. 'Frankly, I don't know what the second chance is about either, he just stated that I should mention it to Vile, my brothers, and you. It was strange I'll admit; considering that- Ummm, you know what, nevermind; it's not important' he sighed. Could he bring himself to tell her what he had heard? Would it have made a difference anyways? Who knows really.

Brandon looked inside the book and then at Caoimhin. "Well, thats the problem. This book has seen many battles by what I can tell. Some of the pages have benn clawed. Some of them even have bloodstains." he then showed a page in the book that had a page full of blood and ink smudges. "The most vital pages on Ahkom has some dried goop on it, but it completely smudged out the ink. Its gonna take me hours to find out what it siad on it." he said as he closed it. "Thats why I suggested music first thing. Like you said, he isn't a foul beast, but sometimes it is the answer."

"It may sound like a good idea but there's two factors that are going to stop us from doing so. Firstly, we can't get to Akhom right now and I have no knowledge of magic that could counteract the spell that he has placed in that area. Secondly, I don't know how to play any tunes on any instrument at all which is the most important factor in this plan of yours." Caoimhin pointed out to Brandon. "If you know how to do it then go right ahead with the plan, I'm going to my quarters to relax for a while and tell Zedren and the others the same thing if you see them." Caoimhin covered his mouth as he yawned then walked to his quarters in the base.

Izabel looked at Legion with an interested eye, "Considering what?" she questioned.

-----------

Akhom gave Sean a moment of shocked silence, but he then started to clap his hands. "Ok Sean, snap out of it. We don't have time for shock, no time for shock." he kept snapping his fingers. "We got about a two minutes left. So here's the final stretch. You want to get your powers back ... we'll you can't. Caoimhin can rest easy. Your powers are gone so you can never get them back. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean you can't get an entirely new power."

Akhom then stretched his hand out and an idol appeared in it. It was smashed apart for the most part but it was still slightly noticeable. It was of a panther. "Found this in the rubble."

"Your panther spirit is gone, and the corresponding powers are now gone as well. HOWEVER, this idol can still work as a vessel. So here's all you need. A sufficient power source as well as a new guardian spirit of appropriate style. Now where to get them you ask." his pace was starting to hasten. "Well not sure yet as of the moment. But I'll think of something. Just leave it to me. We'll speak in private from time to time. Mention this to NO ONE. Got it. Oh and also ... I require two things from you. One, keep an eye on Cao and the others- if they mention anything about me, please let me know. Also ... " he paused for a moment.

"When you get your powers back remember, do not fight with anger or rage. Be detached. If you fight with anger you will either be blinded by it and be killed. Or ... you will fight using the anger and you'll become as cold and heartless as Gargantia. Promise me you will keep hope and never be fueled by anger or jealousy."

Akhom extended his hand in a friendly manner.

If he had a physical face, sweat would probably be dripping down his brow by now, but Legion does not have a face, nor a brow, so he wouldn't be sweating. 'Well, considering the fact that Joseph is still very much alive' he replied. He didn't say any more, to allow for any kind of emotion to sink in. 'You remind me of a pseudo Pinocchio' Broodwing commented. 'Explain?' 'You can lie to most people, but not to her' 'Why don't you go sit in the corner for a while?'

Izabel's expression dropped. 'Shoot. How'd you know that? Did you see through my poker face. Dang dang dang. He gave me that one secret and i couldn't keep a straight face. Dang. I must be losing it." She was very upset and disappointed in herself.

Auric stepped forward. "Lady Izabel. Whatever are you talking about? Auric doesn't understand."

"Akhom's message to me. It means Joe's still alive."

Auric raised his hands in triumph. "Yes, Auric knew it." He then stopped "But how can you be certain?"

"His message." She stopped and a tear came to her eye. It was the first time she acted like this in weeks. "When we first met. Joe and I. He tried to come up and impress me and everything."

"Ahh, I'm sure he was quite the charmer." He said nobly.

"Actually, he failed miserably." She smirked. "While he was thinking of how to approach me, i bumped into him and he hadn't though of what to say yet. He then asked for me to give him a second chance. I just shrugged him off and walked away." She paused to wipe away another tear. "A few minutes later I got cornered by these 3 guys. I guess they had followed me when I wasn't paying attention. Just as one of them pulled a knife and tried to pull me somewhere, Joe came out of no where and saved me. He helped me up and then turned and began to walk away." She smiled "And that's when I called after him. 'You wanted a second chance. Well, here it is' ". She wiped the last tear away. "And that's how we started dating."

"You see .. there is no way Akhom could know that. Even if he had Joe's memories, he wouldn't have known the implications. The only way he would say that is if Joe was alive and completely conscious. You see ..." Izabel grabbed Auric happily "... Joe is alive. He and Akhom have a plan and are working as a team. I mean, I don't know Akhom, but i know Joe - and he's definitely in there."

Izabel then regained her fire and looked at Legion. "Did you seriously read my mind or something? Look, don't i get a request or something ... well ... don't tell anyone this. This was a message between two people and you have no right to my thoughts. So don't tell Vile or anyone. Please. And if my pleading doesn't convince you, I'll think of a different way." She then playfully pounded one fist into her other hand.

Legion folded his arms curtly. 'I figured it out by my own means, unusual little actions Akhom made that didn't seem quite him. But rest assured your thoughts are safe, I can only forsee the possibility of voice and ink, nothing else' he explained carefully. 'Besides, I wouldn't dream of telling anyone else this, after all' Legion commented, before raising his hands and pulling back his hood. Sadly, the camera was positioned behind Legion, so you could only see the back of his head(?), which was pure blackness that seemed to shift around. 'No one can read my poker face' he laughed.

Izabel was silent for a moment with a blank look on her face. "You know, if this whole villain thing doesn't work out, you should try Vegas. You'd make a killing." She then smirked.

She then went back to shuffling as Auric pulled up a chair and refilled their drinks. "You know, it just as easy to play this game with three players. You want in?" She offered.

Auric gave Legion a blank look, "I still might think too highly of you, but if the lady wishes ..." he lobbed a ball of energy at Legion. It then turned into a mahogany and gold chair. "... pull up a chair."

Legion raised his hood curtly. 'I'm afraid I must decline your offer. I have previous engagements to deal with, busy busy busy as villains always are. Maybe next time' he replied and vanished.

He reppeared kneeling before Master Vile. 'Master Vile, ever since our last meeting there has been somehthing on my mind for a while now. What ever became of your children, Rita and Rito? I know it has been a great deal of time, but, I'm just curious about my siblings, if I could be allowed to call them that' he inquired.

Brandon walked into the lab and started reading the text on the dark spell Ahkom used to shield the caverns. He read the book as he looked at the trigger words. Unlike the other part of the text, the words were in a very different language, possibly an extinct one. "Hmmm. I think this says. Ki...tai?" he said out loud and was suddenly shocked by black lightning coming from the book. He got back up and noticed he had burn marks on him, as well as part of his hair standing up, save for the bang covering his eye. "Man. Now I know why this book is restricted." he said as he set it down. "Ahkom must know the language. Either that or I'm looking way too far from this." he said as he sat down on a chair and coughed up smoke.

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST DO, BRANDON?!!!" shouted Caoimhin as he rushed into the room after sensing the magic that emanated from the room. "You shouldn't mess with the ancient texts if you don't fully understand the language it's written in! That could have killed you!" he continued to scold Brandon as he walked over to him to see if he damaged the book in some way. Caoimhin had his hands behind his back as he inspected the book, a faint dripping noise could be heard in the silence. "You're lucky it wasn't destroy...this could be our only hope left against Akhom. Just try and find something that will help indentify the language first, ok?" He then started to walk away from Brandon, keeping his right hand out of Brandon's sight. "If you find anything, I'll be in the infirmary." Caoimhin accidently left the room with a smal trail of blood on the floor and a bloody handprint on the door to the room.

Vile sat up in his chair. "Well when Zordon was killed his good energy was emitted as a shock wave and destroyed many of the evil forces. Including myself as well as Rito. My daughter on the other hand was turned good. Much like Lord Zed turned into Zedren. She is now the Queen of Good Magic." He said that with a mocking sarcastic pitch to his voice.

"Might I inquire as to the sudden interest?"

-----------

Zedren rushed into the room, "What in the world happened here?" He saw the burn marks as well as a slight trail of blood. "Is anyone hurt?"

Caoimhin was busy holding back screams of pain in the medical ward while pressing a the flat side of a hot, glowing dagger against his right palm as he used it to cauterize the cut on he had made on the palm of his hand. Caoimhin regretted trying to use blood magic like Akhom in his quarters as he soon realised how hard it was to control his blood whilst he was slowly losing consciousness from the blood loss. Somehow he had to able to multi task in controlling the blood as well as heal his own body in the process to avoid dying from the loss of blood and foolishly die in the midst of battle.

Caoimhin soon stopped the bleeding from his hand and wrapped bandages around his right hand in case the wound somehow opens again and continues to bleed. He then proceeded to clean off the blood on his other hand and his arms in one of the sinks. "It explains why the high priestess told me that blood magic was dangerous and forbidden on our land...it could kill someone if they aren't careful or experienced in healing magic. You kind of need both for it I think. Akhom must have spent a lot of time prefecting his abilities in blood magic." Caoimhin sighed as he turned off the water and dried his arms. "We really are in trouble if we don't get a win soon."

Legion was silent for a moment. 'The Queen of Good Magic, also known as the Mystic Mother' Broodwing explained. 'I just felt that, as one of your children, I should get to know my siblings. It is, a shame as to what happened to Rito, but, at least I have the chance to meet my sister' he declared. 'I think, I will go do that' he announced and vanished.

He reappered in an unusual area, it was kind of hard to explain it (never got that far into Mystic Force). 'Queen of Good Magic, I beseach your presence upon this plain of existance' Legion called out.

Legion was surrounded by a glowing paradise. It was beautiful. It seemed to sparkle, even though there was no identifiable light source. It looked as though it went on forever, in every direction.

Suddenly, a figure materialized. It was a woman seated on a throne. She then addressed Legion formally in a stern yet ... loving voice.

"Creatures such as yourself do not have a place in such a pure paradise such as this. Nor do they receive an audience with me. But I shall make an exception this time." She paused. "Since you are my brother." She smiled. "you didn't think I would know that huh. I see many things, as well as how your creation was performed. So, how is my dear old father. Still up to his old ways. I truly had hoped he would of changed. But his heart was too dark, i guess Zordon's power couldn't even inspire hope in one such as he. and further more, why do you find yourself here? Don't tell me it for the sole curiosity of your lineage."

---------

Meanwhile, Zedren followed the trail of blood to Caoimhin's quarters. "What is this." Zedren rushed to Caoimhin's side and saw the bandaged arm. He looked it over slightly. "What happened to you? Were you caught in the explosion?"

"No...I arrived there after the explosion." Caoimhin answered Zedren and looked down at his wounded hand. "This was my own fault...trying to match Akhom's abilities is bot of a wishful dream. I tried to use blood magic but it proved fruitless...I'm not the young warrior I once was when I was fight beside Zordon and his group." Caoimhin sighed and moved closer to Zedren. As he did he took off his vambrace morpher and his communications equipment and handed them to Zedren. "Maybe my time was up all those millenia ago...I have lived for far too long...seen so much in every world I've visited...and felt so much sorrow in my life. I think it's time I think about retiring from this duty...but for now...take care of my morpher for me while I go and walk around the city. Walking around in the presence of Gaia seems to soothe me for some strange reason."

Zedren had a sad look in his eye, but a respectful one. "I shall guard these with my life. And take the time you need Caoimhin. You will find your answers, I'm sure of it." He placed the items in his pocket. " Caoimhin ..." he paused for a moment "... may the power protect you." He smiled and then walked back towards his office.

To see Brandon. On the way he thought 'Wow ... things really have come full circle. I'm starting to sound like Zordon. Win or lose, we know we did our best. And I'm sure a path will open to us.'
