Fallen Hero
"The funny thing is that I shook hands with him so I don't know if I should be worrying about him already using it after hearing you say it supposedly has a delayed reaction." Caoimhin chuckled to himself but could see that Diabolico didn't find it as amusing. "Anyway, I'm gonna need your's and Zedren's help in making a new seal for Akhom." DNovaKnight
Akhom wanted to struggle, but he knew it would do him no good. He had to think and he had to think fast. This was the second time he was in a dire situation with this same opponent. What to do what to do. He could just freeze the arms, but that'd be bad. If your tounge could stick to a frozen pole from licking it ... would a blood arm stick to your entire insides if you froze it? Just then he got an idea. He grabbed the arm that was going down his throat and quickly began to make his own hands burn - like he had down before when he cauterized the wound. At the same instsant .... ice began to form around Legion's legs. It was slowly trying to freeze him. This cold was much colder than the others. Between the burning on his arms and the freezing on his legs, Akhom was attempting to break Legion's concentration. There. Here was his chance. Akhom's body glowed a familiar glow. Legion remembered this attack. It was Joe's Golden Radiance. But much stronger. The golden light threw the shadows into chaos as they dissipated. Akhom immediately kicked his way out of it and teleported 20 feet back. Part of Legion's hand was still in his throat. Akhom then punched himself in the stomach hard. He then fell to his knees and started to spit up a foul black liquid. After he finished he clenched both fists together and pounded his stomach again. This one was even harder, he could fell that it broke a rib or two. He then spit up some more until all that was left was a few dry heaves. It was all gone. Akhom wiped the sludge from his chin and slowly stood up, clenching his side. "Heh, not bad Smokey. That was some good acting." Akhom then thought to himself 'Ok, note to self, REALLY don't underestimate this guy.' Akhom looked at his hands, which were now slightly shaking. 'This is bad. I didn't realize just how rusty I am. That battle with that Cao guy wasn't as good a warm up as I had hoped.' ------------ Back on the shore, Diabolico gave Caoimhin a disapproving look. "One should not joke about such things. I'm usually very suspect of whatever Queen Banshera says ... but Akhom does seem to be quite a menace. Come. Let's return to base." ------------ Meanwhile, a lone gentleman walked around Angel Bay. He was in the same part of town that Legion and Akhom were fighting in, only he was in the actual reality version and not in the perverted future one Legion had taken Akhom to. He looked around and tried to notice things. He seemed interested by something.
Fallen Hero
"I think Akhom is just toying with us for a little longer till he gets bored. No doubt he'll be angered when I tell him Hades gave me my ranger powers and more pissed off when I do defeat him again and trap him in some object forever" Caoimhin replied to Diabolico and teleported back to the base with him. Caoimhin quickly returned to Zedren's office. "Good news is that I've gained more insight into Akhom's past but the bad news is that Hades was the only one who sealed Akhom in that sword and how seeing how he accomplished it is impossible for me to repeat as I can't rip a soul out of a creature's body and place it in an inanimate object." The Warden
Legion had been splattered by the radiance, it was a frustrating thing. The bile Akhom ejected began to crawl up the ice pillar, where the black pool formed once more. The same process repeated. Both of Legion's hands emerged from the pool, then he managed to drag his torso out. He left himself halfway though. 'That is becomming such a drag' he commented and melted back into the pool. It slid along fluidly until it was by Akhom. Legion dragged himself out of the pool to waist height and stared at Akhom. 'I'm still missing a piece' he said, pointing at the shadow still trying to devour Akhom's foot.
DNovaKnight
Caoimhin found a quick note on Zedren's desk. It said that he had gone to the conference room with Sean. --------- Akhom cringed in pain a bit from the broken ribs. "Sure ... just a sec." He bent down and grabbed the piece of shadow that was teething on his foot like a little puppy. "Is this what you're looking for?" Akhom smiled, and waited for Legion to nod in agreement. "Here, catch." Akhom lightly tossed the shadow underhand towards Legion. Just as it was within reach of Legion, Akhom quickly charged an energy blast with the other hand and blasted the particle right before Legion's eyes. There wasn't a single particle of it left. Akhom smiled again.
The Warden
Legion sighed, 'I knew you were going to do that'. He rose up and a piece of his hip was missing. 'It'll grow back eventually' he sighed, not put off by his loss. 'Still, that wasn't very nice, and, I think I have the most devilish idea' he added. His sickle formed in his hand whilst a thread formed in his hand. 'I know that, even though you are the main mind in command here, Joseph isn't gone, merely resting after you broke out. But, in your weakness right now, you wouldn't be able to fully supress him. I wonder how things will go if he were to wake up now, whole and healthy? Shall we find out?' he asked mockingly. DNovaKnight
Akhom tilted his questioningly. "I'm sorry, I'm not so sure I follow. What's the thread for? And seriously ... you think I'm surpressing Joe? hhahaahahahah." Akhom began to laugh uncontrollably, but then quickly stopped as he clutched his rib. He still chuckled a bit under his breath. He brushed his hair out of his face. "But in all seriousness .. what exactly are you expecting?"
Fallen Hero
"Oops, guess I got a little ahead of myself there. Should have made sure he was in the room first. Though with the large chair facing the other way, one can't tell if he's sat there or not." Caoimhin spoke to himself feeling a little embarassed and dumb at the same time then immediately set off to the conference room. "I'm starting to think the constant blows to the head are affecting me now."
The Warden
'The point?' Legion said. It was time for him to laugh uncontrollably. 'Akhom, this thread is the difference between life and death for you. This is a Thread of Fate, much like the Threads of Life the Fate Sisters cut eons ago. Within this thread lies the destiny of one living being, you. This thread, when cut would cause the damage you did to yourself become too severe for you to survive. With it intact, you are still alive; but when cut, you will collapse due to your rib cage spearing your lungs and heart' he explained.
DNovaKnight
Akhom stopped short. He gave Legion a serious look. This one had no joking angle to it. He was serious. "If you're telling me this, then you must have an ulterior motive. Something that you want from me. I mean, otherwise you'd just cut that cursed thread. So ... what are you trying to do?" Akhom voice was surprisingly stern for once. He meant business. The joking nature in his voice was completely gone. ---------- Meanwhile, outside the perverted dimension, the elderly gentlemen walked around as if looking for something. He looked at the wall of a building and some places close to it. What was he trying to find?
Fallen Hero
Caoimhin entered the conference room and found Zedren was still there with Sean who had a device on his head that he was not familiar. "You know, Zedren, you really need to lock the door to your office if you don't want anybody to rob you or make the mistake of thinking you are in the room. Anyway, I've met with Queen Banshera and the good news is that I've gained more insight into Akhom's past but the bad news is that Hades was the only one who sealed Akhom in that sword and how seeing how he accomplished it is impossible for me to repeat as I can't rip a soul out of a creature's body and place it in an inanimate object." Caoimhin then walked over to Sean and wondered what the device was mant for exactly.
The Warden
Legion laughed again. 'You really think I have an ulterior motive here Akhom? All this time, every attack we threw at each other, it was all just to prove that I'm better to you. This is the icing on the cake. I can see it in your eyes Akhom, you know at this point, you're beat, I just wanted you to know and acknowledge it. I wanted to see you squirm in your final moments' he explained. He laughed rhythmically as he raised the sickle to the thread. 'Cest la vie' he announced and sliced the sickle down. There was a small pop and a whistle, confetti and streamers fluttered down on Akhom from where the thread was cut. It was all rather comical really. DNovaKnight
Zedren laughed. "Sorry about that Caoimhin. It's the chair right. I love having one that spins. You can play soo many jokes on people." He laughed a bit more and then got serious. "Anyway, Sean remembered something about his past so i hooked him up to this machine in order so that i can see it as well." Zedren then turned back to Sean, "Please Sean go on. The suspense is killing me. Finish the story please." --------- Akhom's facial expression didn't change. The streamers hung off his shoulders and some was caught in his hair. He didn't pay them any attention. "Squirm? Squirm!" Akhom yelled. "How dare you." His voice was extremely stern. It had a mix of anger and disappointment. "You see your control of fate as something you can hold over people's heads don't you. You think its a game. Was it a game when you changed John's, Jaden's, and Chris's lives! No one should hold themselves to be a God! And above all that ... " "Psh, that was hilarious." His voice was back to its joking normalacy. He was laughing on the ground now. "hahahaha I mean, it would of been better if I was actually scared. But my curiosity certainly was peaked. hahahaha." He kept laughing and smiling "I was like 'what's it gonna do what's it gonna do'. I was like a giddy school kid. And then boom. Nothin." Akhom finally picked the streamers out of his hair and dusted off his robe. "Well played my incorporeal friend." He smiled and gave Legion a brief round of applause.
The Warden
Legion was completely silent. He swiftly raised his hand and Akhom was teleported back to the real city were they met. He ast cross-legged as the possibility around him began to shatter, converting back into darkness. 'You see your control of fate as something you can hold over people's heads don't you. You think its a game' he repeated. He shook his head, this was abnormal. It was another dip under his sense; it was most bemusing to him. 'That wasn't Akhom' he said. Kōsuke Ueki
Sean, eyes still closed, sighs. "Very well." he tells Zedren. "For the last 8000 years I have been under care of the Aquitian Rangers themselves, and frankly, it was like I had a family again. But then, one day, something unexpected had happened..." Sean motioned to watch the screen in order to understand what he meant. The screen showed Sean beside the Aquitian Rangers in front of the main computer, waiting for something to load. It was a communication by an unknown source. Once the figure came onto screen, it was now realized that the figure was Zordon. But the younger Sean had never seen him before and was confused. The Aquitian Rangers bowed before Zordon on the screen and young Sean bowed right after. "Sean..." said Zordon. The younger Sean looked up in shock and in confusion. "I heard about what had happened to your father, and I wish I was there to help." Young Sean then remembered that faithful day when he left his planet. "But your father left something for you once his death was imminent. The powers that your father had originally owned, can now be used by you. You must, however, leave Aquitar in order for your journey to begin." "At first, I wasn't interested, but then Zordon said something, something I had not expected." said Sean again. "Every known life is at stake for every universe, even mine, for it has not been fully been conquered." said Zordon on the screen. "I could not believe what I had heard, and then I said..." "I'll do it." said the young Sean. The screen then turned off as Sean opened his eyes. He took off the helmet and stood up, looking towards Zedren and Caoimhin. "I can't remember anything after that, but from what I can tell, for the next 1500 years, I had been training under Zordon to be his guardian up until when I told you what I did when I first joined the team." Sean sighed. "I might remember something else later, but maybe not for a while. I need to take a walk. I'll be right back. But before I go..." He then went up to the ain computer and began to punch in some keys. "If you guys want to look over what you saw, I'll save it into the database so you may watch it as much as you need to." After pressing one final key, the video saved in to the computer, and he walked out of the base, heading into the city. What had happened over those 1500 years that I couldn't remember, and what could be that I might have missed? he thought to himself after he left the doors of the base. DNovaKnight
As the figures returned, the old man quickly hid himself. Akhom looked around. He tried to strike the ground, but no ice came out. He smiled. "Finally, we're back in the normal time ... whatever that is. haha" He laughed a bit more. "Well this was a fun work out. We'll have to do it again sometime soon. Oh and FYI ... here's a little message for you, your boss, your brothers, and any hostages you might have." Akhom paused and held up his index finger. "You wanted a second chance. Well, here it is." With that Akhom then jumped into the air and vanished. When the old gentleman saw Akhom vanish, he smiled, tipped his hat and proceeded to walk away. --------- Back in the base, Zedren now focused on Caoimhin. "So Akhom was sealed by having his soul separated from his body. Quite the harsh punishment. I wonder what in the world he did to deserve that." He questioned. --------- About a half hour later or so, as Sean was going for a walk, he heard a strange whistling coming from the treetops above him. It was Akhom, he was reclining on a branch. "Well well, if it isn't the little curious cat. And what brings you here?" He smirked as he jumped down to ground level. As he did he landed on one knee and grabbed his ribs. He flinched in pain momentarily but then got back up. He pretended nothing had happened and hoped that Sean hadn't noticed him clutching his ribs. (Roll: 9 - beat this to see if you notice him grab his ribs)
Kōsuke Ueki
Sean looked carefully when Akhom clutched his ribs. He apparently saw it. He also heard something crack a bit. "What happened to you?" he asked. "And where did you come from?" He was a bit confused but then asked, "Fought someone today, or did you fall off a cliff steep enough to hurt your ribs?" He then laughed. "You just keep popping out of nowhere when it comes to wanting to talk or just doing it for fun. You really need to live life and stop scaring others, even though you didn't scare me. Anyway, you mind telling me why you were clutching your ribs? Seems you nearly cheated death." OoC: Roll: 20. Lucky me. :D
DNovaKnight
Akhom chuckled a little. "Twice actually." He clutched his ribs "Those these wounds are actually self inflicted. By the way, that Legion guy is definitely impressive. Very fun fight. He actually almost killed me twice. But ... I've been around for quite a while. And I know a thing or two about pulling off a miracle." Akhom then walked over the the tree and sat down Indian style. He motioned for Sean to join him sitting under the tree. "As far as me 'living a life' ..." he raised his fingers and quoted those words with his fingers "... I live my life by enjoying it. And not being restricted or hindered. Not blame yourself for things out of your control. Just having fun you know. " Akhom gave Sean a thoughtful but also sarcastic look. "You should try it sometime." Fallen Hero
"He did many thinks that annoyed the demons but what spurred Hades to do such a thing as that was the murder of Hermes, no doubt Hades considered this as a direct threat to himself and disposed of Akhom as quickly as he could." Caoimhin answered as he considered how Hades must have felt at that moment. "And if you're worrying about Akhom staying this way forever then don't be because I think I have a plan to seal his body in a different kind of way. I'm just going to need a lot of help from everyone and possibly even help from the zords."
Kōsuke Ueki
OoC: Crossed legs is the Indian Stance right? "Wait a minute...did you just say you had a fight with Legion just earlier today?" Sean's eyes widened as he turned his head away for the moment and thought of something he momentarily forgot, and was glad he did for the most part. I forgot about the contract... Sean then turned his head back to Akhom and chuckled nervously. "You must've been lucky to survive someone who might not get completely serious with you. If you had attempted to destroy him, I would be relieved. Only because I really wish he had not been created in the first place." OoC: Roll: 14. Beat this to see past Sean nervous chuckle. DNovaKnight
OoC: 15 YAY, and the other Tetrarchs are ... somewhere else. MeteorKnight is prob relaxing cause he already fulfilled his duty - destroy Gargantia. And yes, indian style is legs crossed Akhom noticed a small wince in Sean's face. "Hmmm, looks like I'm not the only one with a little bit of hidden knowledge. So aside from him being very strong, what's your worry over this Legion guy. Come on, I told you about my dealing with him now you tell me your. Or is this one of those 'do not reveal under penalty of death' scenarios." Akhom smirked. He then reclined back "I'm in the mood for a story or two." -------- Meanwhile Zedren listened to Caoimihn's words. "He killed Hermes? Are you sure about that? My word, perhaps I was too trusting of Akhom. This is all very hard. We're dealing with someone of unknown abilities and allegiances, while at the same time speculating that our old friend and trusted comrade is in there as well." If he has no control of the body anymore, hopefully that would mean that the kid could regain that body and help us." Caoimhin explained to Zedren. "I just need help making such a thing possible." The Warden
Back in the familiar dark void, Legion was thinking. 'You wanted a second chance. Well, here it is' he stated. 'You wanted a second chance. Well, here it is' he repeated to himself. 'Problems?' Broodwing inquired. 'It's just an unusual statement. I'd best speak with fat- Master Vile about this' he corrected and vanished. He reappeared before Master Vile's throne; he was kneeling. 'Master Vile' he declared. 'I have a message for you from the Spirit- From Akhom' he stated.
DNovaKnight
"Quite the undertaking" Zedren said to Akhom. "I would say something like - we should be sure first. But this could be a new way of looking at the old saying - the foolish may not live much, but the cautious don't live at all. If we rush into these accusations with only Queen Banshera there could be a problem; however, we might lose our window of opportunity if we don't act. Akhom is far too powerful. We could hope that he and the Tetrarchs just rip each other apart, but that is really hoping." Zedren paused. "Whatever you need, I shall be sure to aid you in whatever way I can." -------- Vile gave Legion a strange look. "Akhom huh? So that's the being that has possessed young Joseph's body." he laughed a bit. "Quite the entertaining turn of events." He looked at Atlas who was now emerging from the dark. "I assume you'll tell me what you know of this being in time, am I right?" Atlas just nodded as he took his place at Vile's left hand. Also emerging from the darkness from the other side was MeteorKnight, his humanoid body again hovered eeriely across the fog covered ground. "I have no records on the fighting patterns of this ... Akhom. Should I rely on my prior knowledge of the Gold Ranger?" Vile nodded "Yes, but not exclusively. Akhom has probably adopted some of young Joseph's habits, but I'm sure he has a few of his own. We'll need to engage him in battle to get a proper estimate on his abilities. It's been a long time since I've heard his name, and I've certainly yet to see him fight. Or speak to someone who has lived through it." Meteorknight accepted Vile's commands and took his place at Vile's right hand. Finally, the sound of talons could be heard scrapping across the wall. "Akhom huh?" The shrill voice said. "He sounds interesting. Can I deal with him as well?" GriffEnd now entered the room. Vile meerly looked at him and smiled, "Take care of the remaining rangers first. Besides, I'm sure you want to finish off that blue one, am I right." GriffEnd clutched his hand together. "Oh yes. No one matches me for speed. And that powerless one, what's his name. He's going down too. No one challenges me, and he was pretty defiant." GriffEnd took his place behind Legion. He was now surrounded on all 4 sides. Vile smiled at all this. He motioned towards Legion, "Now then my son, what - pray tell - is Akhom's message?" The Warden
Legion raised himself up. 'It seems rather vague to me, yet I haven't delved into it. All I know is that he boldly announced "'you wanted a second chance. Well, here it is" Legion replied. 'Are they beginning to question your loyalty?' Broodwing suggested. 'No, they're just being careful' Legion replied. 'Akhom, is quite the unique fighter. He made me actually want to kill him at some point. He is, what you would call a daredevil' Legion added.
