Legion raised his scythe and glided forward at a rapid rate. He picked up speed at a swift rate and when got in range of Akhom. He swung the scythe down and after it was over, Legion was directly behind Akhom, he was positioned as if he had swung his scythe.(Roll: 20. Oh shi-). He rose up as an enormous and deep gash appeared in a jet of blood on Akhom's chest. Legion watched as the blood dripped from the tip of his scythe; he acknowledged the properties of the scythe, as the wound on Akhom began to fester. 'Even if you have the gift of healing Akhom, the infection in that wound will not go away with the damaged skin, consider it a, memento' Legion stated.

Akhom stumbled to the ground, his wound still dripping blood. He had to think fast. He immediately vanished and relocated in another part of the city, in a small pile of rubble. The wound had amazingly punctured his skin, but luckily wasn't too deep. Thank god for his more resistant body. He then raised his claw hand and stabbed it into his chest. He then ripped out a huge chunk of flesh, much deeper and wider than the initial gash. He screamed in intense pain. He clenched his teeth and then began draw out the surrounding blood. It began to form something in his right hand as he began chanting in an unrecognizable language. As this was happening, he materialized a small flower in his left hand. He immediately swallowed in and chewed it vigorously with his teeth. He then placed his left hand, which had began to glow, over his wound. He then screamed again for almost a minute long. The sound of his voice slowly faded. He remained still for a moment. And then he was gone.

He reappeared in front of Legion with his garments still soaked in blood and ripped apart. Oddly the blood seemed to slowly evaporate from the garment. Even stranger was that his gash was disappearing as well. All that remained was a burn mark, which was quickly healing as well. Akhom managed a light chuckle. "First off ... cheap shot."

"Secondly, I have to commend you on that. You actually punctured my skin. Quite impressive." He could see the shocked look on Legion's face.

"Curious right. Wanna know how I'm standing? Quite simple really, and no ... i can't heal. See first off, I dug deeper to open the wound more, and thus rip out and infected flesh. I also started to concentrate any of the surrounding blood as well." At that moment the blood that was bubbling above his hand extended and formed a long menacing spear. "An ancient chant I learned, it's called the 'Warrior's Will'. It converts a certain amount of the users blood into a weapon - never had a use for it before but good thing I love needless info."

" Also why i picked this flower." He materialized another flower like the first in his left hand. "It's a special flower that died out about a millenia ago. It can speed up the metabolism and bodily processes in most beings to a horrendous rate. Most people just thought it was a poison, but thats because their bodies couldn't handle the increased odiy functions. But for demons, it works just fine. Good thing I kept a few huh."

He then made the flower disappear and made his hand start glowing again. "Finally I manipulated my energy to burn instead of blast so I could cauterize the wound shut to stop further bleeding. The pain was soo intense I almost passed out."

"So no, I don't have healing powers, but when I put my mind to it, I have eons of knowledge up here." He tapped his head while he smiled a sarcastic grin. "And now that I know what your scythe can do, i won't let it strike me as easily again."

OoC: Remember, even with natural 20 ... you have to give you opponent a chance for reflex/dodge. Especially someone of a near-equivalent strength. But I'll let this one slide since that could of been like an Attack of Opportunity. But Akhom won't be dropping his guard anymore. :P

"I'm not scared of doing this little quest, Diabolico. I'm sensing something back at the Angel Bay and i'm wondering if i should return their first to find out what it is." Caoimhin replied back to Diabolico. He was concerned about the humans as he knew what Akhom was capable of doing...that's if Akhom was at fault back in the city. "I'll quickly get this mission done while you inform Zedren and the two rangers to survey the city for any signs of attack. Hopefully the labyrinth doesn't have a minotaur inside to hold me up." Caoimhin quickly ran up to the entrance of the dark cave. "Try and do your best to protect whatever is in the beach as well!"

Legion released his grip of the scythe, it just stood there as if he was holding it. He began to clap slowly. 'Commendable, very few would risk grievious bodily harm, but you take the cake here. But still, it just gives me more and more time to have fun with you' Legion replied, there was something odd about how he said 'fun'. He grabbed his scythe and it converted into a pair of kama, he gripped each one tight. 'Time for round two' Legion stated and began swinging the kamas in a flurry of blades. Oddly, he was aiming for the lance instead of Akhom. (Roll: 7).

Diabolico nodded and wished Caoimhin luck. He knew it wouldn't take someone like him long to reach the end. There would be no trouble along the way, but once he got there and found Queen Banshera, the mid games would begin.

----------

Akhom stood there and quickly clashed the blade with the two kamas. The blade erupted into a liquid again and wrapped around Legion's two hands. Akhom then pulled the handcuffed hands downward as he then jumped and kneed Legion in the head with his left knee and then kicked him with the right leg in the head as well. The hit was hard and sent Legion stumbling to the side. Akhom then landed and jumped backwards before blasting Legion with a small energy blast. He knew the blood handcuffs were nowhere near strong enough to hold someone like Legion for that long, but he's sure it hurt Legion's ego a little. (Roll: 16, 9)

Legion was lying on the ground, his head was at an odd angle and his robes a little torn by the blast. 'I'll admit' he coughed, before melting into a shadow; the handcuffs fell to the ground. He reformed behind Akhom, his head still at the odd angle. He grabbed it with both his hands and with a crack, re-aligned it. 'That was a good effort' he admitted. 'However, as powerful as I am physically, I always let my shadows do the work. I prefer to defend and attack wisely; sizing a foe up if you will. It was good to see your blood capabilities. It seems that as long as you can maintain a small distance of contact with a portion of your blood, you can command it. However, I am assuming you have limited time and distance to command it' he stated.

"Actually", Akhom spoke "It's still a part of the 'Warrior's Will' curse. Depending on how much blood is loss depends on what you can do with it. I certainly had more than a paper cut, so i was able to maintain control over it in a more extreme and prolonged manner. Again, eons of experience." He then black flipped over towards the handcuffs and touched the ground near them. The handcuffs then exploded again, this time into a flurry of knives that shot in a barrage at Legion. "If you want, I can teach you sometime." (roll: 6)

Meanwhile, Caoimhin walked through the labyrinth. It seemed like it took hours, but it was only about a half hour. Time felt very distorted here. He finally came to a large cave opening. There was a thin film of silver light over the opening. This must of been the barrier Diabolico spoke of to keep demons in.

Legion watched the flurry of knives go for him. Each of them impaled his body, digging in deep. He tore one that was sticking into his chest out and showed it to Akhom, it was coated in an unusual black liquid, similar to oil, but, different. 'No thanks, such things are useless when they come naturally to me' Legion replied. (Roll: 20). He began removing each knife in turn and hurled them back at the ground in front of Akhom's feet. Each one clanged as they hit the ground. 'You have your own tricks, I have mine' Legion retorted.

Sean had listened on about what Zedren had said and what Caoimhin and Diabolico had plans to do, and he wondered about his own past. For the time he had been on Earth the only thing he made clear was what happened to his father, how he got the powers afterward, and releasing Gargantia in the process. But he wondered exactly what had happened after his father was killed, and before he got his powers. He tried to figure it out, but he always kept lightly banging his head as he gets it wrong. It's now realized that he couldn't remember anything from that point in time. He then sighed and asked, "Zedren, how much of your memories of being Lord Zedd DO you remember? I mean after you killed my father?"

OoC: That's your cue to PM me the part of the plot twist I planned, DNova, if you know what I mean.

Zedren folded his hands and looked down. "I do in fact remember much of my life as Zedd. As far as your father goes ..." Zedren leaned back in his chair. "He was a very brave man Sean. no matter what minion I threw at him, he always found a way to stop them. With patience and strength, he overcame in all. Now of course this was some time ago. Back when I had made it my mission to take over Zordon's entire Galaxy, but Rita - a minion of mine at the time - complained far too much. So I let her eventually take over Eltar.

The first planet I decided to take over was the one your father was living on. I never got the real name of the planet since we were merely using it as a foothold into that galaxy, but we called it D6-01. Back then I wasn't big on native culture. For what seemed like such a small, unimportant planet - it gave me the most trouble - all because of your father. He foilied one plan after another until finally ..." he took of his glasses and rubbed his eyes "... I decided to deal with him myself."

Zedren was silent for a second, "I never knew he had a son."

---------

Akhom looked at the black liquid spilling out of Legion. He made a gagging, dry heave motion. "I see your certainly built a little ... different than a normal being." He finally straightened up and stopped making the dray-gag motion. "Good thing I didn't use my death touch attack. Although .... I am curious to see how it would affect someone like you. But nah, I want the first time I've used it in all this time to actually work 100%. You know, don't want to kill my perfection rate just yet." Akhom smiled. He then started rotating his shoulder, "you know smokey, aside from you trying to kill me and all ... this is actually quite fun."

Caoimhin stood at the cave entrance for a couple of minutes, trying to work out what was best to do as he entered the shadow realm. "I should have grabbed a cloak or something to disguise myself first. Oh well, can't change the past. Besides, it's not like any demons in here knows of me...I hope." Caoimhin took a deep breath and stepped through the barrier to enter the shadow realm. He entered into a world crowded with hordes of demons, totally blocking his view of anything else that might have been in the area. Caoimhin kept his head low and carefully made his way past the demons as he tried to establish where Queen Banshera is in this unholy land.

"Okay, now I'm staring to remember something." said Sean to Zedren, pacing around. "My father was always overprotective of me because of my young age, and didn't want me to be seen by you so I couldn't have been used against him. I of course believed that wouldn't happen, but my father didn't care. He only cared that I was alive. And I'm glad I am today." Sean sighed once more, since that was all he could remember as of now. "But that's about it other than what I've already said to you. How much more do you remember after you killed my father. I may find out more if I know something else about what you did."

"Well that's about all i did concerning your father. Aside from that it was more of a matter of conquering the rest of the galaxy. Then Rita got trapped in a dumpster eventually, as you well know. And by that time my forces were to thin to continue onto other planets like Aquitar and so forth." Zedren shrugged "That's about all i can think of from that time. I could use some memory jogging of my own." he laughed a tiny bit.

As Caoimhin walked along in the Shadow World, there was a sign written in some strange language. Behind it was a small pathway, a clearing in the shadow. In fact it was the only unfoggy part of demon world, yet no demons took it. Many demons spirits would linger for a moment in front of the sign and then shake their heads in disapproval. Others would even spit on it. One in particular yelled something as angrily. It was a mix of broken old English and some unrecognizable words. The insults were in demon; however, the term of reference was noticeable. 'Your highness'. It had been said with a sarcastic tone. Everywhere else in the shadow world seemed murky and dark, except here.

Sean laughed with Zedren a bit and listened on. "I believe Rita deserved to be sealed away in that dumpster." he told Zedren. "However, I believe it was a mistake to seal her in it and send her to the moon. After a bit of research, I heard that two men wearing special suits to temporarily survive outer space came across Rita's dumpster and opened it on accident. And strangely, if that hadn't happen, the Machine Empire would've came instead and the power coins would never have been destroyed. Hm." He then heard one planet in particular and went into a slight shock. "Wait, did you say Aquitar? I think I remember something about it. I just need to think really hard about it." Sean then began to think really hard as to how he knows more than he originally intended to know in the first place.

"This looks like the right place to go to." Caoimhin said quietly to himself then looked around him to see if any demons were staring in his direction as he didn't want to attract any attention from the demons which could result in long, tiresome battle. "No one is watching me" Caoimhin stated then immediately rushed down the clear pathway to find Queen Banshera.

Legion dipped a finger into one of his stab wounds, he removed it and it's strange coating. 'Biologists will be damned if they ever studied me. Still' he said, cutting off at the end. He then went and plunged his whole hand into a wound. He withdrew it, he was grabbing a clump of some strange matter. 'To be frank I don't even know what constitutes myself, though I have some theories based on the method of my creation. But enough of that' he sighed. 'This isn't fun, not yet anyways'.

Zedren nodded, "Yah, Aquitar. I never really tried to invade it. I did strike a temporary deal with some bloke name HydroHog, but he wasn't anything special."

----------

As Caomhin walked along the path, a grotto finally appeared. Inside it he heard a wrathful screaming. It sounded annoyed and also annoying. The figure of Queen Banshera revealed itself.

untitled14.jpg

There was a strange fog like mist around her arms, legs and wings. It seemed to be binding her. She saw Caoimhin approach and mistook him for a demon. "You .. you there. You miserable excuse for minion. Release me at once. Your queen commands it." She waited a moment but then got more annoyed. "Don't just stand there. I said release me. I own you, you pathetic weak fool. Serve your queen. DO AS I SAY!" she screamed in a high pitch voice.

------------

Akhom made another dry heave motion. "Yah, that's lovely." He said with the utmost disinterest. "But I agree, this is boring." Akhom then looked up in the sky and then around him. And started to get an idea. He licked his finger and stuck it in the air. As if testing something. He then focused back on Legion "Hmm, the clouds are covering most of the sun here but the humidity is still high. What would you say the temperature is about? About 75, 80 degrees? huh?" Akhom questioned.

Legion carelessly tossed away the strange matter in his hand, it made a sickening squelch as it splattered on the ground. 'Why should I care about the weather of some dead possibility?' he inquired. 'Think he is planning something?' Broodwing inquired. 'Possibly, this being is extremelly quirky and unusual. I would be more likely to know the history of a goldfish than know what is going on in his mind' Legion replied. 'Come on, come on' Legion taunted. 'This isn't turn-based battling ya know?'

Akhom smiled. It wasn't what he thought would be possible, he had never done it before in this fashion. He should actually be thanking Legion for doing this. He made him think outside of the box even more than usual. This was a beautiful idea. Akhom smiled even more. He was really excited about this. He was like a little kid with a new toy. Well ... same old toy ... but just a brand new way to play with it, and Legion had made it all possible.

"Actually ... maybe we could just settle this in a game of checkers or something - or rain check all together. I mean, i just have to go do something. So come on ... rain check? I'm giving you a chance here. I mean ... you're obviously in over your head." He shrugged. "Come on, just bow out and come back later. You'd earn some brownie points ..." He offered. "We could trade secrets. I mean controlling fate, that's pretty cool. You could teach me that. And I can teach you how to completely disregard it and live for the moment. Sounds fun right? No obligations or anything of the sort." Akhom was somehow sounding sarcastically taunting ... and yet ... friendly at the same time.

Legion was only half listening to Akhom, he was becomming more and more fascinated by pulling out his own matter and tossing it away. 'It's so primitive, yet satisfying to hear each successive splat' he said as he hurled a chunk that splattered on Akhom's feet. 'Ooops, sorry about that' he apologised, it wasn't very sincere. 'No, I'm fine with this. I don't have much to do right now, so this is the perfect time to kill time, and maybe to kill something else as well' Legion retorted. 'And I'll trade my brain in for a cucumber before I bow out to you' he muttered.

"As usual, royalty shows how little they care about their servants if they can't even distinguish a person who infiltrated the shadow realm out of the group. You're lucky I'm not here the make an exorcism on your wicked spirit." Caoimhin chuckled to himself, not caring if it irritated Queen Banshera. Damn...maybe some of Akhom's personality actual rubbed off on him. Caoimhin stepped closer to the Queen. "I'm here to obtain some information regarding a certain demon, you know him very well in fact, his name is....Akhom."

Akhom moved his foot before that piece of goop splattered on him. "Eww. That's gross. ANYway ... so we can't postpone this huh? Dang it. Why can't you ever listen to me, even when I'm telling you something for your own good. Can't say I didn't warn you. Oh yah, just one more thing ... " Just as he said those words there was a loud crack of thunder. It sounded ... longer than a usual crack of thunder. Akhom got a horrified look on his face and pointed behind Legion, "... DON"T LOOK NOW!" All of a sudden a mountain of snow and ice rumbled down the building behind Legion and buried him beneath it. The ice fell and stopped in front of Akhom's feet. He looked at it curiously. He picked some of it up in his hand, and it vanished.

The pile of snow and ice covering Legion also disappeared as he got up. Akhom laughed a little bit as he started to dance around and yodel.

-----------

Queen Banshera got even angrier. "Demon or not, I rule over all. I AM THE QUE-- Wait." She stopped short at the mention of that name. "Akhom?" She started to grit her teeth. "I haven't heard that name in eons. I thought I erased it from all the records. But apparently some demons thought it should remain. Where did you hear of it? You want to know about him? Fine. He's a miserable no talent demon who is a waste of life. An annoyance. A ..." she then began to curse in demon language. It was unclear what she was saying, but she was certainly saying it with anger.

"I don't care how much you hate that demon so shut up and listen!" Caoimhin shouted in a forceful tone. "He's escaped from whatever sealing method you used on him and his causing problems for us. Now tell me what you and Hades did exactly to get rid of him for all those millenia then I can do the same to him and end our troubles as well."

Queen Banshera gave Caoimhin a blank look. "Wow, I certainly see a little bit of Hades in you. So forceful, so strong." She tried to talk sweet to Caoimhin. "We'd make a good team you and I. But I digress. You asked me a question. I hate hearing how the human world suffers. I'd love to torture him some more, you know, for all the horrors he's commited. It's only a matter of time before he tries to take over your world or something. He's very devious. Always has a plan. Can't trust him. I'd gladly help you, but you have to help me. I mean how do i know i can trust you. There has to be something in it for me."

Sean then gasped into shock and stared into space. It only lasted for a few minutes, but he couldn't believe what he had saw within his own subconscious. When he finally snapped out of it, he couldn't believe his own eyes. What he saw may help him in the tasks that awaits. He then got a serious face and looked directly at Zedren. "Zedren..." he said with a serious tone, but not enough to be rude. "I need you to follow me. This is something I think you need to see." Then Sean turned around and headed for the conference room, hoping to find a way to show Zedren what he had saw. Could it be that I...? Sean thought and stopped from there, since he'd wait until they made it to the conference room.
