DNovaKnight
Akhom winced in pain as the shadow dug into his body. He managed to compose himself and shrug, while still flinching. "Fair enough. Now for question two ..."Just then the shadows around Akhom collided together as their subject appeared to jump away and dematerialize. Akhom then reappeared about 10 feet to the left of Legion, dropping down. "... how stupid do you think I am?" Akhom started laughing hysterically. "I mean seriously, do you know how many beings have tried to kill me over the years?" He continued laughing, but in a split second got serious and calmed himself. "So is killing me the latest craze or do you have a purpose for it. I mean ... I've never met you before, aside from the lab that time. Wait, is this because of your nickname - Smokey" he smiled. "You really need to relax Smokey. Seriously Smokey, chill out. I'm sorry for calling you Smokey, Smokey. There. Are we cool now Smokey. Oh shoot I did it again." Akhom then stuck his tongue out at Legion.
The Warden
Legion began laughing himself, it was loud and, meaningful. 'I think you are extremely stupid and self-absorbed' Legion answered, he shifted away to stand about ten feet behind Akhom. 'Even your own kind tried to kill you, but then, someone like yourself is clearly at the height of popularity aren't you?' Legion inquired. He laughed again, a little more loudly. 'Tell me something, how does it feel to be hated and loathed by your own kind? To be considered an eternal outcast? It mustn't be much fun. I wonder if all your pranks and childish antics are just compensating for something' he added for extra sting.
DNovaKnight
Akhom was confused for a moment, but then began laughing some more with Legion. "You're right. I am a pretty popular guy. Please, it really is annoying. Most of the my 'acquaintances' - if you can call them that - have all hated my guts but try to suck up to me or just be passive aggressive. In fact ..." He put on a thoughtful look. "... come to think of it, I've only ever had like several real friends. I mean sure, there was probably a portion of them that feared me and just wanted to keep me at arms length, but they never hid it. And you .. you call it like you see it as well. Even though you're trying to kill me, I respect you." He then put on a relaxed friendly look, "As far as knowing people hate me ... I feel that if you go through life without anyone hating you, you're doing something wrong. You see, it all matters what you think of yourself not what others think of you. So tell me Legion ... what do you think of yourself?" He questioned.
The Warden
Legion looked dead-pan at Akhom. 'What I think of myself?' he repeated. 'I've never thought about it before. In the past I would say I am the will of Master Vile. In the future, I would say......it's not important. At this point now, I am someone torn between feelings and loyalty. Someone who will one day make an important decision that will change many things. But what about you? You have power, you have existance; but you have no reason to live. You have no aims in life'. DNovaKnight
Akhom laughed a bit. "Wow, deja vu. Osiris asked me this question not 10,000 years ago. Wow does time fly. My purpose ... hmmm ... my purpose for living, is simply that. To live. Aside from that, I just live day to day and make it up as I go along. Is my goal complete chaos, total anarchy, and all that ... no. There's no fun in that. In order for someone to break rules, those rules must still exist. Otherwise ... what's the point? And I certainly don't want to rule the world. Why would I want all that responsibility." He thought for a second. "I mean, would I one day like to fight for something and have a drastic effect ... sure, why not. But I'm not going to chase after that. I purely like being where I am right now. To tell you the truth, it is quite fun. I've rarely cared about anyone, thus I've rarely felt anything like worry or regret."
The Warden
Legion muttered something incomprehensible under his breath. It sounded something like 'insufferable amount'. 'That is sad, when you think about. It's a pity, being lonely; and I'm sure Joe feels the same way. I see how similar the two of you can be, much like the human tarot cards. Upright is a fortunate outcome, and reversed is a negative outcome. Don't stress your brain figuring out who is which, because, at this point I find it very obvious' Legion remarked. He folded his arms as the shadows at his waist moved up his back.
DNovaKnight
Akhom folded his arms as well as he tapped his foot impatiently. He had a bored look on his face. "I'm not stressing about it." He then began waving Legion off. "I merely want to be grammatically correct. Now then ..." he got the bored impatient look on his face again "... is there anything else of interest you want? Or that I'd find interesting? Or want to do? Or any generic reason for me to keep waiting around here? You know ... I have places to go and people to see." He informed Legion. He then quickly though about the little treasure he had just found. He smirked a bit at all the possibilities it would create, not to mention the fun. He then found it very hard to keep his giddiness contained (roll: 14 - if you beat this then you will see through Akhom's bluff).
The Warden
Legion was silent for a moment. 'Yes, I suppose you have places to go and people to see. I in fact will send you to hell to meet the reaper' he stated, but caught a glimpse of Akhom's face. (Roll:.......18) Legion lowered his hood, he had caught an unusual look on Akhom's face, he began to see into it mentally. 'What are you hiding?' he inquired. 'You saw something?' Broodwing inquired. Legion nodded mentally, his shadows had finally based themselves at his shoulder blades.
DNovaKnight
Akhom waves his arms at the shock of Legion seeing through his mask. "What? What are you talking about? I'm not hiding anything." He let that sit a minute and then dropped the act. "Oh forget it. Very intuitive Smokey. I am indeed hiding something. Something quite devious. I would tell you more but ... where's the fun in that. I will however say that it'll make you and your family ... what were they called again .... Tetrarchs ... that's right. Well basically" he then got a very serious and malicious grin on his face at what he was about to say "let's just say that this little idea of mine will - in theory - will be one of you Tetrarchs basically killing one of your own. Isn't that an awesome plan? I think so." Akhom started to laugh a lot in an uncontrolled manner. "I should really pat myself on the back for this one." and Akhom preceeded to pat himself on the back in a mocking way towards Legion. "I figure, why face you guys outright, when having you destroy each other seems soo much more enjoyable. I mean ... the only things I know about you all is from Joe's memories, but i've yet to try my hand. But I'm willing to pass that up to see if this little plan will work." Akhom giggled a bit more before adding something "Oh yah, and don't even bother looking into the future to see what this plan is ... cause ... to be quite honest, i haven't even figured it all out yet. I mean seriously, I've revised this thing like 3 times in the past five minutes. hahaha"
galesonic
Brandon was still in the Zord habitat, listening to the conversation between Zedren, Diabolico, and Caoinhim. He thought of something in his head. If Ahkom is like Joe, then they must share at least some emotion. "Zedren." he called out through the communicator. "I've been wondering this: if Joe and Ahkom are alike by fusion. does that mean emotion and fear are the same too? I mean, if Joe had a phobia to something, would Ahkom still have that same thing even though before he was fused with Joe, he didn't." he asked through the communicator. "I have read some occurances to that in mana leeches. But, I don't know if Ahkom still classifies as one."
DNovaKnight
"Exactly" Zedren exclaimed happily. "I knew you'd figure it out Brandon. Now, to be fair, Akhom is far superior to a mana leech; however, the principle applies in theory." He pulled out the tests of Joseph's original screening - back when he first became a ranger. As well as the test that was taken when he was first possessed by Akhom. "See, here we have their bodily composition as well as their aura's and mental impulses. And if we were to get a sample ofAkhom's dna now, I believe these number would have increased by now." Zedren got up and began to pace. "Let me start again. Don't think of this as one entity merely possessing another. Look." The room suddenly got dark and a projector screen appeared on the wall. It showed the screen of his desktop. There was a picture of Akhom. "This was a memory reconstruction of how Diabolico remembered him." It looked exactly like Akhom does now. Sean then raised his hand "Excuse me, but why did you have to take the image from Diabolico's memory? You could of just gotten one of him when he was here." Zedren nodded. "Good question Sean. I did so because I had to show that the original Akhom looked like this present Akhom." Sean seemed confused. Zedren chuckled a bit. "Let me show you." He clicked a button and a second image appeared on screen. It was a picture of Joe. Sean suddenly realized what Zedren meant. He was shocked at what he saw. Zedren then overlayed the images to make his point apparent for everyone else. "Aside from the hair and the tattoos, their physically the same. Their personalities also have a few cross overs, not many, but here's what I'm getting at." Zedren paused. "It almost as though they are doppelgangers of each other. Same universe, just different times and species. One human, the other demon. As far as auras and personalities, if you overlay them ... it's almost like they fulfill the other's deficiencies." Zedren turned the lights back down and shut off the screen before sitting back down, "Akhom and Joseph were both complete fully functioning beings, but now ... they're merging and become a more complete version of their former selves. It's like Yin and Yang. This is them slowly merging and becoming one."
The Warden
Legion made an odd noise as he clenched his fist, it was, for the first time in his life, shaking. Dark energy seem to flicker about him as the shadows on his back writhed about. 'This is a new feeling' he said, his voice hoarse and, restrained. 'There are many things I could forgive, but' he said, he couldn't restrain it anymore. 'NO ONE WILL INSULT MY FAMILY!' he shouted and roared. The dark energy consumed him; it faded and he was gone. Fallen Hero
"You say that they are becoming one entity that fulfill the other's deficiencies and they are like yin and yang but yin and yang if i remember correctly represents balance in the world, yet from what i can tell Akhom is more in control then a complete co-operation between the two personalities. You can't call it a fusion if one overpowers the other's thoughts and actions. So...why is it that Akhom's personality has been shown all this time since this so called 'fusion'?" questioned Caoimhin as he got up from his seat and walked over to Diabolico. "You are going to help me find a way to Queen Banshera after this meeting has finished."
DNovaKnight
Zedren noddedto Caoimhin's question. "Remember. Joseph was near death when Akhom took over. Not just physically, but his spiritual and mental energy was taxed beyond its limits as well. The reason why Akhom is more apparent right now is because Joe is still recovering. From a certain perspective, Akhom is actually providing Joe with protection. While Joe's psyche recovers, perhaps more of him will show. We've already seen that as more of Joe's memories emerged. But I can't be sure if personality would be assimilated as easily as memories." He paused for a second. "All I know is this, from what I've gathered from the time stream and listening to Brandon ... if we had removed the blade when we were going to, Joe would of simply died. But since Brandon stopped us - well, delayed us - this all happened. In his time there was no Joe because he had died from the Blade. So this has already drastically altered the time line. -------- As Legion faded, Akhom held his hands in front of his head to protect himself. His hair blew wildly. He slowly lost ground and was thrown tumbling backwards. As the shock wave ended all was silent. Suddenly there was a rustling from a nearby bush. Akhom poped his head out and shook it back and forth, trying to shake the shock off.
Fallen Hero
"If that is true then Brandon's future will become different from what he remembers and he could potentially be a paradox in the universe's timeline now. Don't know how that will affect us all but no doubt it's most probably a bad thing." Caoimhin commented in a calm manner. "Maybe the paradox will turn out to have good consequences. Never seen anything like it before so I can't be sure on the end result of it. I'll leave everything to you guys to fight off the Tetrarchs for a little while so you might as well give Sean his ranger powers back." Caoimhin grabbed Diabolico and started dragging him out of the room. "I'm gonna gather more info on Akhom and Diabolico is going to help me." DNovaKnight
My ranger powers aren't shut off. They're gone. The power, even my sacred spirit is gone." Sean said solemly. "But I'm not losing hope. I'll find a way to get back in the game." Zedren smiled in agreement. "Stranger things have happened. You'll find a way, I'm sure of it." Diabolico slightly strugged a bit "umm ... I still don't think seeing Queen Banshera is a good idea. Sir?" Zedren made an unsure face. "i still don't think he'd fall for the trick twice, if thats what you're after. And remember, she hated his guts. You'll probably get a very one sided story from her. But you are your own person. I can't stop you. If you wish to inspect that route ... go ahead." Zedren offered.
Fallen Hero
"You're starting to sound like Zordon now, Zedren" Caoimhin replied and pulled Diabolico with him. "You know how to get out of the Shadow World so you must know how to get into that place as well, Diabolico. So you better help me or I'll go and find out about the strange energy that's resonating from the beach then inform Zedren about it."
DNovaKnight
Diabolico's hands were tied. He had promised Joe not to let anyone disturb Dom's sword. Even though Zedren was in on it too, he couldn't let Caoimhin go snooping. He personally had no opinion of Akhom; however, if he was gaining Joe's memories, but not his good nature - what would stop Akhom from remembering the sword and tampering with Dom's connection. He'd remember how strong Dom was, as well as a fellow demon. Diabolico lowered his head. "Very well Caoimhin, I shall lead you to one of the energy rifts that can take you to the Shadow World. But I must ask what will you do when you meet her."
The Warden
After the shock had worn off, the blunt side of a scythe swung round and caught Akhom in his back, swinging him over and smashing him into the ground. (Roll: 6). The scythe turned into a snake-like shadow and slithered back to Legion's waiting hand, where it reformed the scythe. Despite it's absurdly thin shaft, it seemed quite tough. Long black feathered wings were extending from his back, though they were tucked in. Ragged robes were clinging to his waist and extending downwards. 'I am certainly not finished with you Akhom' he stated, his voice dark with malice. 'No, I have only just begun' he warned.
Fallen Hero
Caoimhim thought about it for a moment. "I guess I was going to try and speak to her then if she didn't answer me then I would use force by eliminating some of her dead servants spirits to show my strength and seriousness. Maybe show her i've got my powers from Hades to see if that helps make her thing we are allies." Caoimhin explained to Diabolico. "If all them fail, I'll act like Akhom for a bit to piss her off." DNovaKnight
Diabolico smirked at the last part. "Fair enough. Not sure how cooperative she'll be. And be sure to not to let her trick you. As long as you remember that ... then follow me." Diabolico teleported Caoimhin to a rocky shore. "I decided teleportation was better. This place is about 400 miles south of Angel Bay, and yet its the closest." The waves crashed along the rocky shore. There was a different feeling here. No one could be seen as far as the shoreline could be seen, despite it being a nice day. Although, the clouds here were a little thicker than usual. This beach was secluded and not easily seen from the water. There was a small town perhaps 3 miles down the road, but nothing noticeable otherwise. "Here we are. This cave entrance leads to a labyrinth of tunnels. For those lucky or stupid enough to not get lost, you'll find the entrance into the shadow realm. There is a barrier that prevents demons from entering or leaving. So you will have to continue on your own. And please, remember what I said. Don't trust anything she tells you that willingly. Nor anything that you see in there." Diabolico bowed and proceeded over to sit on rock. ------------------- Meanwhile back in Angel Bay, Akhom lay motionless for a second and then jumped up on his feet. "Impressive trick. And the little costume change, very impressed." Akhom feigned the good humor, his thoughts were somewhere else 'lovely, I wasn't intending to fight this guy for a little while. And certainly not now. Oh well.' "Let's see what you got smokey, but can i make a little request. Usually I wouldn't do this, but seeing as I'm sharing a body with this human ... can we take this somewhere else. Somewhere deserted. Like. The middle of the ocean. Or a dessert. Or just some place without innocent bystanders." Akhom winced a little, "God, can't believe I just asked that." Fallen Hero
"So this labyrinth and the shadow realm has a few tricks to scare away or kill an intruders before they reach Queen Banshera?" Caoimhin wondered as he stared at the cave entrance and the only way to Queen Banshera and the answers of Akhom's sealing. "Is there anything you know about how many demons are inside the shadow realm or any dangers i could face along the way?"
DNovaKnight
Diabolico chuckled a little. "My boy. Queen Banshera isn't the only demon in there. Please, don't inflate her ego by making her think that this place is only for her. There are plenty of other demons in there; however, it's not a physical fight but rather mental deception. This isn't a temple for Indiana Jones to explore. You merely find her and question her. No perils aside from other beings and her. You seemed scared little guardian." The Warden
Legion merely grabbed the hem of the his torn robes and flipped it up, it seemed to engulf him and Akhom, who vanished in it's spin. They reappeared in what appeared to be a ruined version of Angel Bay. Many of the buildings were torn apart, their debris scattered on wrecked streets. 'This was an alternate possibility, a possibility where there were no rangers to save this place. Master Vile over ran and annihilated it. Leaving behind ruined buildings and zero amount of life. This was a possibility where you were never freed from your prison. And now, this is where you die'.
DNovaKnight
Akhom looked around. Broken fire hydrants with the water flowing out. Some fires still raging. Downed power wires still sparking slightly. Debris and rubble everywhere. His hair blew in the wind as it swept through the empty down."Great" Akhom said with a hint of disappointment. 'Damn, he didn't fall for it. Guess I better stay alert with this one.' He then looked at his hands and thought about his most deadly and mysterious technique.
