Fallen Hero
"No matter how rusty you are at fighting, I will not attack you." Caoimhin stated to him. "You said young Joseph isn't dead so in battling you to bring him back, it would only cause harm to his body in the future. It's a difficult position you have put me in. Do I choose to destroy you and young Joseph in the process or do I abide by my own rules and stick to my promise to not let any humans get harmed by monsters like you?" Caoimhin turned away from 'Joe'. "Besides...it's not like we have enough strength to take you down anyway."
galesonic
Brandon had thought for a moment and had an idea. "Then how about an ultimatum?" he asked towards Caoimhin, but felt the prescence of confusion. "Now hear me out. Some of us can't beat...Joe in this form so far. Then how about we make a certain date. That way, before that date, we can try to figure out better plans of some sorts. Possibly foolproof ones. It seems a bit risky, but it could work. Posibly." he then looked at Legion and then at the Spirit raised an eyebrow "This is getting a bit out of hand. Legion helping us possibly against the Spirit. Maybe Vile must hate the Genesis Blade that badly."
DNovaKnight
'Joe' rolled his eyes again. "Oh come on. You guys are estimating my power before you even fight me. How bout you guys grow some confidence and fight." He paused. "If you don't ... perhaps I should find someone in this city who will." He then took another dramatic pause and looked at Brandon "Now that ... is an ultimatum."
Kōsuke Ueki
Sean looked at 'Joe' once more. "An ultimatum?" he asked to them all. "I see." Sean had not expected something like an ultimatum to be mentioned by Brandon, nor had he had the thought ever cross his mind, nor 'Joe' or Caoimhin's either. But regardless, he believed it is the best way to avoid violence, especially in the base. Sean then thought for a moment and then finally motioned himself back to Brandon. "What kind of ultimatum Brandon? What do you have in mind, exactly?"
Fallen Hero
Caoimhin sat down on a table next to some medical equipment and looked over to 'Joe'. "So you're telling us that if none of us in this room will be willing to fight you then you will attack innocent humans in the city?" Caoimhin sighed, as no result could be a good one whichever decision they choose. "And we have no idea of how to seperate you and young Joseph...so, in a way, young Joseph is dead whatever happens. Since were on the subject..." Caoimhin looked over to Legion. "You might as well give Izabel back to us. With young Joseph dead, you have no leverage over us to go and find Deos for you anymore." DNovaKnight
'Joe' thought about Caoimihn's question. "Uh .... yah. If non of you fight me, I'll go to the city to find a fight." He waited while the rangers discussed some things until finally. "That's It! I give up." He lept off the table at Caoimhin and performed a jumping front kick right to his face. The force was decent, about the pinnacle of a human body's strength. Not enough to break anything. The sudden surprise of the attack added to its ferocity as well. Caoimhin fell backwards and crashed into one of the beds. 'Joe' landed and scratched his nose in a cocky manner. "Enough talk. It's time we do something I want to do." Nexev
OOC: Sorry, notification got messed up. IC: Nexev smiled. "Awww, shucks you shouldn't have, it's like christmas or something." Nexev turned to Loki "How about we test then out on the rangers, see just how useful these things can be? Kay thanks, by." Nexev teleported with the Valkeiree before Loki had a chance to answer and headed to the rangers base. He then saw the shenanigans unfuril before his eyes and laughed. "Well, well, looks like Boss was right about you. You ARE the fun one. I call winner then." Nexev leaned against the wall and took out a root beer. "Unless of course you want to fight me instead." Nexev shrugged. "Your choice I guess."
DNovaKnight
Loptr shook his head. "Oh, how i've missed him." He then looked over towards Loki. "Hope they take the fight outside. I really don't want to miss this one." They both laughed. -------- 'Joe' noticed the newcomer. He stood up and walked towards him. He walked around him a few times, as well as the beautiful woman. He then stood in front of them both. And began to laugh "Well i certainly hope you're not going to be like the others here. They all seemed raring for a fight, but then wanted to 'talk things out'". He made the quote symbols with his hands. He then placed a hand on Nexev's shoulder "But I trust you won't be that wimpy, eh Nexev." Just then 'Joe' fell silent. Something was wrong. He then looked curiously at Nexev. "Wait. How did I know your name?" He thought for a moment. Suddenly he fell on the ground laughing uncontrollably. He then composed himself and began to sit with his legs crossed in a meditative state on the floor. He looked at everyone in the room and then up at Nexev and the woman. "I guess I'm finally starting to assimilate some of this kid's memories. Geez, it's about time."
Nexev
"Let me answer your statement with this." Nexev said smiling as he attempted to deliver the mighty VIOLENT BRO-FIST OF AGGRESSIVELY FRIENDLY GREETINGS! UPON Joe's face. Roll:19 Or was it spirit's face? Nexev finds this ambiguous bullcrap to be irritating. So he is going to ignore it. "Maybe I should have given you a warning about it but I think this story had enough pre battle dialogue so now we can skip to the witty banter." Nexev said with a smile. This Joe was fun, kinda reminded him a bit of his old boss, the other Joe. This one was a bit more immature though but hey, he's new. As an afterthought Nexev pointed to Sean. "Valk hon, please kill that guy. He needs the practice."
DNovaKnight
'Joe' rolled along the ground. He laid there for a moment, not moving. Until he sat up and grabbed the side of his face. In a serious voice he said, "You just punched me in the face?!" He then broke out giggling and regained a calmer tone. "Finally someone who doesn't mind a fight. What do you say we take this to a less crowded area?" The lady bowed to Nexev and looked over at Sean. She brushed her hair to the side, and got a devious look in her eyes. Unbeknownst to Sean, one of the medallions on her cape disappeared - the gold one with the sea monster. All was quiet, until - an arm came from behind Sean and grabbed him. Sean was then flung against the wall. As he finally opened his eyes and saw his assailant, he was shocked to see a grotesque monster holding him there. It stood almost 7 feet tall. It had long claws and bony skin. Lon white hair ran down its back and its face was covered by a visor like helmet. The only part that was visible was it's decrepit mouth, which was dripping with saliva. The rest of its body also had a decayed, synthetic look. In certain parts of its body, it had armor - almost resembling a uniform. At the center of its chest was a strange double cross run. The beast then slide Sean across one of the medical tables and flung him into Caoimhin.
Fallen Hero
Caoimhin grabbed Sean and put him to one side. "Didn't expect that attack from that spirit. Guess I should watch out for it's quick reflexes." commented Caoimhin as he stood up. "I give up trying to find a more peaceful way to bring back young Joseph. Legion...tell Izabel...I'm sorry." Caoimhin jumped onto several tables before he reached Joe's possessed corpse and tackled him just as a portal opened behind him and took the two of them into the realms of Tartarus. The two of them tumbled on the rocks for a few meters before coming to a halt. Caoimhin stood up and quickly morphed into the Hades Ranger. "Remember this place. I hope so because you'll be staying here for a few millenia again. That's if I don't kill you first. But before I do that, I want to know what your name was." Nexev
Nexev sighed. "Don't you have to roll for hits like that? Cheating whore." Nexev muttered under his breath. He turned to the Valk. "Looks like someone stole our guest of honor. Send a few Vexs after Mr Grim. Make sure Joe doesn't get sloppy and leave Grim unfinished. I'll take care of the leftovers here." Nexev turned to Sean grinning. "Hey, love what you've done with the place. It's going to be totally sweet living here after I kill the rest of you. Know where Zedd is? I want to play with him for a bit."
Kōsuke Ueki
Sean had not expected an attack so swiftly, especially since it was headed towards him. Limping from the pain, he slowly gets up, seeing Caoimhin take 'Joe' to Tartarus. He then turned towards Nexev with an angry expression on his face. "Is there...a reason...as to...why...you're targeting...me!?" he asked while panting. "What did I...do to you, huh?" Sean then ignored the pain and called Zedren on his com link. "Zedren, we got an infestation! It's Nexev. He's brought along a friend who can summon beasts. Bring Diabolico and Ecliptor over to the medical bay now! Hurry!" Sean then summoned his spear. "Let's see if I still got it!"
Nexev
Nexev smiled "Is there a reason for anything? You don't need to understand anything, you just have to go with what feels natural." Nexev summoned his cross and stabbed it in the ground. Nexev gave a short laugh. "I'm itching for a brawl, let's see what these fallen monsters have what it takes to stop a fallen god." With a flick of his wrist, white ghostlike knives appeared in both of his hands as he awaited his new prey.
DNovaKnight
The gold vexing that attacked Sean paced slowly around him. It then stopped to the side of Sean and took a stance. Sean had seen this stance somewhere before. Many times actually. But he couldn't think where he had seen it. Meanwhile, the Valk looked at the remains of the portal and shot two beams into it, a silver one and a green one. At that point two more symbols disappeared off her cape, the green elephant looking one and the silver chimera looking one. Ecliptor and Diabolico both entered the room to the far side of the others, near Legion. They drew their sword and staff respectively and braced for a battle. ----- Inside Tartarus, the spirit stood up and looked around. "Now why'd you do that? It would of been a lot more fun if it was all of you guys against me. We need more combatants." At that moment, two beam of light emerged from the portal right before it closed. The light materialized into two more of those beasts. They were exactly like the gold one, except ... one had bright green armor, and the other had silver armor. The spirit smiled, "Now that's more like it." He then looked back at Caoimhin. "As for my name ... at a time, they called me Akhom. But that was a long time ago. And how about you? Caoimhin? Did your mommy give you that name? If so, then i hope you gave her hell for it." He then stuck his tongue out at Caoimhin.
galesonic
Brandon took his fighting stance as he looked at the Valkiree. He thought of what power she could possibly posses, but it would best to fight unmorphed unless needed. "This is gonna be a dumb move but..." he rushed towards the Valk at half of his normal speed unmorphed, which was probably one-third his morphed speed. He leaped into the air and threw a kick towards her, hoping she would be hit by it. "Lets see what you've got!" (Roll: 7+2=9)
Fallen Hero
Caoimhin immediately punched Akhom in the stomach. "I may not know who my mother was but that does not mean I'll let you insult her." Caoimhin then began to quickly assess the situation he was in. Is it a free-for-all between the four of them, will those creatures side with Akhom or him?"Shall we starting fighting now?" Caoimhin asked and leapt away from Akhom and the creatures. DNovaKnight
The Valk got hit by Brandon's move she flew back a little, but managed to brace herself against the doorway. She looked up at him and smiled. Brandon suddenly felt a presence behind him. The gold vexking had run up to him and pumped his left leg up, as if to throw a kick. Just as Brandon was going to block that, the vexking used the momentum from that pump to kick with its other foot. (Roll: 14) He tried to take Brandon completely off guard. Like Sean before him, Brandon had seen this maneuver. He felt he had seen it in person, but more often in old footage. -------- Back in Tartarus, Akhom straightened himself out from that last punch. "Not bad, not bad. Seems like you do have a bit of fight in you." The two vexkings approached behind Akhom and started growling at Caoimihn. Akhom smirked. "Seems like they like playing on my team. No matter ... I'll fight you alone." Akhom then waved his hand at the 2 creatures to tell them to back off. They watched at a distance, but looked as though they could pounce at any moment. Akhom then lept in the air and tried to axe kick Caoimhin in the shoulder blade. (Roll: 3)
Fallen Hero
Caoimhin grabbed Akhom's leg and slammed him into the ground, creating a small crater from the impact. "Let's fight to the death Akhom and then we will see who's stronger out of us." Caoimhin then stamped his left foot against Akhom's neck whilst he began to twist his ankle that he still had hold of, trying to break it to immobilise Akhom. Roll: 11 (1st attack) 9 (2nd attack)
DNovaKnight
Akhom gasped for air. He tried to grab Caoimhin, but the guardian was stronger than him in this state. Akhom then used his free leg to kick Caoimhin in the elbow of the arm that was holding him - thus creating an arm bar of sorts. It wouldn't be enough to snap his arm - like what would of happened on a normal human. But it would release his grip. Akhom then rolled backwards, now freed. He got up and prepared to roundhouse kick Caoimihn; however, he felt another sharp pain in his chest. This one was the worst of all. It froze Akhom in his tracks. He just stood there with a blank look on his face. Stunned. (Roll: 16)
Fallen Hero
"Seems like something is bothering you. Could it be that young Joseph is fighting for his body?" wondered Caoimhin as he walked over to Akhom. "You should know that humans aren't as weak as first expected, especially those that can become Rangers. If young Joseph is trying to regain his body then I should not attempt to kill you but weaken your own powers to help him. Guess i'll have to control my own strength right now." Caoimhin then swiftly punched Akhom in the stomach. Roll:
DNovaKnight
Akhom feel to the ground like a statue. He didn't move an inch. The two vexkings that were there immediately lunged at Caoimhin. The green one ran around the side and tried to punch him in the face, while the silver one ran straight ahead and drop kicked him. Rolls: (green: 12) (silver: 19) ---------- Back in the medical bay, Ecliptor and Diabolico tried to take on the Gold vexking - thus giving Brandon and Sean some relief. The valk looked over at them and held her hand out. Just then a large sword appeared in her hand. It glowed with a hellish light. Just then, the last two symbols -the purpleish Pegasus and the black wolf - disappeared off her cloak. Two final vexkings appeared, exactly like the two before them, but this time they had Purple and Black armor respectively. They stood on either end of the Valk as she motioned towards the rangers and Legion.
Fallen Hero
Caoimhin dropped to the ground by the drop kick from the silver one. "I had a feeling they would protect you" groaned Caoimhin and slowly got back up on his feet. "Guess I'll just have to destroy you two first then." The rings on Caoimhin's arms expanded and were now freely moved along his forearms. "Who's gonna attack first this time?" he said as he carefully watched his enemies. DNovaKnight
The two Vexkings looked at each other and nodded. The silver one charged first, but right before he got close enough to Caoimhin, he jumped up and around him. This revealed the green one following close behind; however, instead of jumping as well, he continued with the attack and tried to punch Caoimhin in the chest. The other tried to do a reverse hook while behind Caoimihn (thus unaware of it). These creatures were working in unison. They were far superior to the old Shadow Strikers. These things worked almost ... like a team. They weren't mindless. They even had fighting styles - each unique unto themselves. But were their fighting styles their own ... or programed based on someone else's.
Nexev
Nexev tsked at the two new combatants on the ranger side. "Now now, you can't go around the double teaming people. That's cheating." Nexev said disapprovingly as he tossed several energy knives at the two. Roll: 12. Nexev wasn't really hoping for much on that besides force to two to leave an opening for the Vexking. Without looking at the result Nexev turned to Brandon with a grin. "So your the one who is using my design, how is it working? Actually, nevermind, I'll just pry it from your corpse and try it myself, orders are orders." With a short giggle Nexev charged at Brandon, before suddenly backstepping away, then going for a uppercut on Brandon's face. (roll 18)
