"I don't think thats a good idea." Brandon said suddenly as he looked at the blade. "We know it causes damage to the user, but we don't know how? And by moving its wielder will just add insult to injury." he walked to the other side of the table and looked at Joe. He wasn't in good condition and he looked a bit pale. "I say we take the blade away from Joe, and seal it in the research room so we can find a way to at least purify it of its malicious side-effects."

[Fallen Hero]

"We'll let Zedren decide on what the best course of action we should take with the Genesis Blade but with your idea of locking it up somewhere in this base leaves me worried that i could end up in the wrong hands. We have already had the base inflitrated by Legion and if it knew of this no doubt Legion will inflitrate the base again and be successful in stealing the Genesis Blade, making our defences even weaker than what they already are. Not to mention that Sean is still a liability to us and if he steals it for is own selfish reasons then it will leave us in a more dire situation." Caoimhin argued with Brandon, the only one who could ultimately decide on what to happen now was Zedren. "We have to remove the blade from young Joseph's body first anyway"

 

Caoimhin stood beside Joe and placed his left on Joe's hand that held the Genesis Blade and his right hand on the weapon itself. Flames engulfed the Genesis Blade as Caoimhin used his own might to suppress the blades control on Joe. "Return to your dormant state, weapon of destruction, and free this warrior from your deadly curse." he commanded the Genesis Blade.

As the Blade was about to be extracted, it somehow reacted, turning on the defenses in the Medical bay. a small laser turret appeared from the current and pointed the scope at Caoinhim. Brandon reacted suddenly and tackled him to the floor right before it fired and burned the table next to them, which broke the extraction as well. With it broken, the defense turret deactivated. "Sorry about that. I don't think that the Genesis Blade wants to leave Joe anytime soon. Its starting to get smarter around us."

[DNovaKnight]

"I don't think the blade did that knowingly.", Zedren offered "The Blade is giving off unrecognized energy levels and it's making the equipment here go haywire. But we must certainly try that again. The Blade must be removed."

 

At that moment, the blade began to glow brightly and suddenly the hilt disappeared and it seemed smaller. Then the rest of the handle vanished and it got smaller again. They soon realized what was happening. The Blade was actually infusing itself with Joe's body. Horrific second after second, the blade embedded itself more and more into Joseph's body. The heart-monitoring equipment started to beep loudly and rapidly. Joe's heart-rate was skyrocketing.

[Fallen Hero]

"I've never seen it progress this far before. I don't know if i could stop it. Zedren...what are we suppose to do now?" Caoimhin asked as he watched the blade infuse with Joe's body. Caoimhin clenched his fists in anger as he failed to save Joe. He quickly got on his feet and placed his right hand on Joe's chest, flames blazed around Joe's body, and continued to use his powers to attempt at stopping the process before anymore damage is done.

"We can't remove the blade." Brandon yelled as he looked around the room. "Taking it out now will only kill him or it could bring even more danger onto us." He found a small midical kit under the cabinet with some medicine in it with some syringes. "The only thing we have to do now is to stabilize him. If he isn't stabilized, he'll be dead." he picked a bottle of muscle relaxers and pain killers and put some in the syringe. He injected it into the arm fusing with the Genesis Blade. He took out the syringe and took another one to collect blood from his other arm.

Joe's body calmed somewhat. His heart-rate dropped and his body seemed to relax.

 

At that moment, Diabolico rejoined them and whispered something to Zedren. "WHAT?" he screamed loudly. "Diabolico, stay with Joe. Caoimhin, Brandon come with me."

 

He led them to the control room where he set the monitors to view a section of downtown Angel Bay. It appeared as though everyone was frozen in time. One man was sitting behind the wheel of his car drinking a coffee. Another was bending down to tie his shoe. It made no sense.

 

"Rangers, I have no idea what's going on here. I haven't seen something like this since our last encounter with a Deuteros Kamen. "

[Kōsuke Ueki]

"Zedren!" yelled Sean, who was was still in his cell. "Let me handle this one! I will do whatever I can to stop it, even if it means giving up my own life to save you all!" Sean again attempted to bend the bars, and this time, he 's actually pulling them apart, but very slowly, though. Him believing in protecting his friends has somehow increased his strength by a small amount, possibly enough to handle this new Deuteros Kamen. His strength has only increased by a small amount, so it won't be enough to open his apart.

 

OoC: Yeah, I know, this might be Godmodding, but I'm telling you, it isn't. Believing in your friends will always make you strong even without powers.

Zedren saw this as well over the monitors. He shook his head. "He's certainly got spirit. Rangers, check it out. I'll deal with Sean. If you need me, contact me." he then left the office and headed towards the cell block

 

"Sean ... you know the one regret I have about no longer being Zed." he paused. "it's the feeling of being betrayed, after you've done soo much. " he walked over and unlocked the mangled bars of the cell. "Vent's situation didn't allow for this, but yours does. This is your last chance. Leave your rage, anger, jealousy and lust to be the best at the door. Join us ... as a team." Zedren extended his hand

[Kōsuke Ueki]

Sean, feeling like his act to be the best has past him, extends his hand and gives him a handshake. "Always." he told Zedren as he made a smile. "I feel very sorry about how I acted. If it wasn't for that stupid Gargantile Seed, I wouldn't have been in that stupid cell. I wish that had never happened so I would still have my powers." Sean was now feeling regret, like that since he wanted to be the best, he had forgotten about his friends and how they can help him defeat Ralis. "I promise you, I will never act like I did ever again!"

"Glad to hear. Never be blinded by rage, and take each situation as a new one." He then placed the bracelet around Sean's ankle. "Insurance purposes, I hope you understand. It'll react if your motivation ever gets impaired. But I do have a gift for you."

 

He led Seandown the corridor and walked into one of the tech rooms. He opened a closetlike object where he pulled out a lance. "It's your old weapon. I've improved it's balance and focus. I mean ... it's no miracle weapon, but I'm sure you'll appreciate it with your current power loss." Zedren smiled.

After hearing the order, Brandon quickly got to the buisness district of Angel Bay. The area was still damaged from the batlle with GriffEND, but it as well was affected by the strange time freeze. He got to the roof and took out a scanner that was in his suit pocket. For a few minutes, the scanner beeped and then suddenly flatline. It didn't read any data of this ever happening in this timeline. He turned on his communicator and set it to the current timeline. "Uhh..Zedren?" he asked first before continuing. "Okay. It seems that not only the people in the whole town are frozen in time, but the water system directly below it. Not only that, the downtown area has the main resevoir."

Zedren checked his own scanner "But wait, the trees. They are still moving. Does this freeze not affect non-human biologicals? It's strange. And the street light are still changing color as well. This is very strange indeed. Be careful Brandon - something isn't adding up here."

Meanwhile, in Loki's lair, he summed Nexev and Ralis. "it appears something is wrong with my crow cams. Non of this is making sense. Go check it out and when you find out who's responsible - kill them."

[Nexev]

"What the stopped people thing? Why? People have zany powers these days. But if you insist, it's murder time I guess." Nexev said with a shrug. Nexev then morphed into his ranger uniform and teleported to Angel Grove. "Okay time has stopped, somewhere in the top 100 awkwardest things in my life. But this gives me an idea." Unscrewing a marker nexev scrawled 'SEAN WAS HERE' in red on a persons face. "That will keep people guessing, but enough with these shennanigans, time to find someone." In the greatest example of sleuthing ever seen by mortals, Nexev fell asleep on a bench, figuring the time stopper will come to him, how was he supposed to find anybody anyway? All the bad guys could teleport.

[Fallen Hero]

"If that is true, Zedren, may i suggest if you scan for any movement in wildlife as they are not human. It would help to establish what has been affected." Caoimhin said to Zedren as the looked at the screens. "Me and Brandon can survey the city for anything else. Hopefully finding the Deuteros Kamen and eliminate it if possible. Just make sure young Joseph is ok for us" Caoimhin added before leaving the base to further inspect the city and the time freeze's effects.

[DNovaKnight]

Zedren received the message. "Will do Caoimhin. And I'll rub the scan right now." he turned towards the computer and scanned the surrounding areas. "It appears to be only affecting that area." he clicked some more. "It appears to stretch from 2nd street to 5th street. And ... from 3rd avenue to 5th." he continued to scan "Wait ... the animals are frozen too. What in the world is going on?"

then got to thinking and suddenly had a theory. "Zedren. The monster that caused tOmega to come to my time. I think his name was Chrionix..." he then paused to think if he got the name wrong, but then continued. "Didn't he have the ability to also freeze certain people and things?" He then jumped down to the ground to check on the people. They seemed to be okay normally, excluding the fact that they are frozen. But something was pretty off about them.

[Kōsuke Ueki]

Sean was shocked. He never knew that he could use his old weapon again. "You said before that you never remodeled this...I'm glad you didn't." said Sean as he had a tear running down his cheek. He then slowly walked up to it. As he got closer, an orange aura slowly emanated from both the spear and Sean. As he grabbed the spear, an orange glow spread throughout the entire room. As it faded, what was shown was Sean, wearing his original morpher and the spear disappeared. "I haven't felt like this for weeks!" Sean was relieved and stretched. Now it's time for Deos to face the ultimate warrior, original guardian of the legendary Zordon of Eltar, Sean Kozac!

[The Warden]

Legion laughed as he was sitting at the back end of the room. In his hand was a port glass with some foul black liquid in it. The chair he was on was very reminisce of Zed's old chair, except darker and more twisted. He took a quick swig from the glass as he watched them. 'My my my, it appears time is against you. You appear frozen with fear at what is to come, such a pity, such a pity' he commented and took another swig from his port glass.

[Fallen Hero]

Caoimhin, through the comm link headset which Zedren gave him after joining the group, listened to what Zedren and Brandon were saying. "I thought that Chronodox creature got destroyed while we were back in your time period, Brandon. Could that mean Deos has revived that monster with his powers. This could be dangerous for us if that is the case." Caoimhin calmly walked through the city towards the area Zedren had informed the rangers that have been affected by the time freeze. "Zedren, can you tell if our ranger powers won't be affected by the time freeze either or even ourselves as we are?"

[DNovaKnight]

"It's strange" Zedren answered, "You guys are within the area, but aren't affected. Either your ranger forms aren't affected, or anything new that enters the area isn't effected." he checked the scanner some more, "It appears Loki's rangers are checking the situation out as well. Don't start a conflict with them if you don't have to. We don't need more trouble."

[Fallen Hero]

"To be honest...with the current problem that has arisen...an alliance with them seems like the best plan, knowing how strong the Deuteros Kamen are after fighting Chronodox. It would be better to combine our forces to stand a chance against whatever it is." Caoimhin replied as he watched the area around him, everything frozen in place which makes it worse in his view as an attack from anything could harm all life that has been affected.

"It may seem so. For all we know, this could be a trap that either Loki or the Tetrachs have placed to get us out in the open." Brandon stated as he started running down the avenue and noticed the radio tower near the end of 3rd avenue. "I think we should investigate the radio tower. It has a possibility to send radio waves to the entire town. Thats probably how the area was frozen in time. But its a possibility." he said as he started running downt he alleyway.

[The Warden]

As Brandon neared the end, Legion in his chair appeared at the end; he was gazing at the empty port glass. 'To be, or not to be, that is the question' he quoted before regarding Brandon. 'Future ranger Brandon of Sigma Force' he stated. 'Don't bother asking me, because you and I both know why, so let me just cut to the chase. Return to your own time, because, I'm sure you understand that although I made a deal not destroy the current ranger powers, yours are wide open for assault. And if you didn't know, now you do' he said, he had a menacing tone to his voice.

Brandon looked at Legion, but mostly at how menacing he was trying to be. He read his file just like the Tetrachs before he came to this time, and found out that his power is usually backed by shadows and fear. "I'm sorry, but I'm gonna decline on the offer to go back to my time. I have something to make right in my time and I'm not going to leave until I make it right." he said as he took out two things, one was his patented spray can from his older days in Sigma, nearly 3 years ago and the other being the second part of his morpher now attachted to his wrist.
