DNovaKnight
Izabel walked over towards Auric, "Well ... as far as you fulfilling your goals ... that just means your a puppet to Vile and don't have any creativity of your own, or are too afraid to use it. Basically what you are is whipped - as we'd say in 'human' relationship terms." She then laughed at this quiet a bit. "And as far as you continuing onward in your empty existence ... again ... that's just pathetic. You're on a self-destructive path and you're fine with it? " She paused for a moment, "Usually I'd feel sorry for someone like you, but know what ... it's not even worth it. You have to help yourself before someone else can help you." She then walked back over to the bed and motioned Auric to follow. She pulled out the deck of cards and started to play solitaire. -------- Back on the battlefield, GriffEnd was getting tossed around by this whirlwind, until finally ... it burst open. "ENOUGH" GriffEnd yelled. He was pretty roughed up from these two attacks, but was still ready for a fight. As much fun as it is toying with you two - i have a job to do. We three can continue this another time, but just step aside and let me kill your unconscious friend over there." motioning towards Joe. "Master's orders." The Warden
A shadowed hand reached down and turned Izabel's head toward Legion. 'You may be right about this, but you clearly forget I don't have a heart to break. My only true joy in life is to serve my master, to be his 'puppet'. I don't need your pity Izabel, all I need is your existance to be right here. In time, you may come to understand how I truly work, until then, you can only keep guessing' he said and vanished, the door closing and locking as well. Fallen Hero
Caoimhin looked up and in the corner of his visor he could see his rifle lying on the ground. He rolled on his his stomach then used his every muscle in his arms and legs to propel him towards his rifle, skidding across the ground as he landed on his side, grabbing his rifle and fired a bullet just above GriffEnd's head which resulted in the bullet shaving off a few feathers. "I don't care what your Master's orders are. The three of us are going to stay alive no matter what you throw at us. Now leave us if you wish to and I'll be waiting the our next battle"
galesonic
The ranger took this sudden distraction by Caoinhim as a diversion to save Joe from possible death. With all of his speed, he rushed to pick up Joe from his position and had the time to grab Caoinhim as well before speeding off to a safer place in the area. He set them both down and started panting. He wasn't used to carrying people while running. "That was a little bit too close for comfort." he stated. "I never expected GriffEND to be in the fight. But, rather him than the other Tetrachs."
DNovaKnight
GriffEnd in that moment of distraction had lost sight of the rangers. He then flew up higher and began to circle to look for them. Thus far, the search was futile. The ranger had indeed picked a very quiet place. At that moment, Zedren used the communicators to alert Caoimhin. It was loud enough for the other ranger to hear as well. "Everyone return to base immediately. Joe needs medical attention and you can't protect him and fight at the same time. GriffEnd has the advantage for now - fall back immediately. This is not advice, this is an order." ----------- Back in Izabel's cell, Auric sat down on the other side of the bed, "Not bad. Still think you have complete control?" "Of course. I didn;t expect him to be all groveling to help him and such ... but his choice of words did reveal certain ideas. As well as the fact that my presence here is something he finds pleasant. I still think I can break him ... or at least be a big part of it." "Just be careful. Push him too far and ..." He grew silent, afraid of what he would say next. "Just as I said ... I have nothing else to lose. I'll either take him down or be responsible for someone else doing it. Simple." She said ... a little too confidently. "Just remember something," Auric motioned towards the scene in the mirror "Just because you're here, doesn't mean you've lost. You still have something to lose. And your life would be a lose for that person as well." Izabel looked at the mirror and saw the image of Joe unmorphed and beaten up pretty badly. He was in a lot of pain. At that moment she lost it. She was trying to be strong, but she felt soo helpless here. She began crying. At that point Auric went to the other side of the bed and embraced Izabel as she cried. He put his cape around her. "There, there. Auric is here. Cry as much as you like. No evil can see through Auric's cape."
The Warden
The room was filled with Legion's laughter. His image appeared in the mirror, very smug. 'No evil indeed Auric?' he inquired with smugness. 'Because all I see is a crying girl' he added. He folded his arms and watched Izabel cry. 'It's funny how fragile humans become when those they treasure are hurt. Whilst you may try to break me Izabel, I can break you as well. A Sword of Democles hangs above both our necks, I will just wait and see whose horse hair breaks first' he said cryptically and faded from the mirror. Fallen Hero
"Understood Zedren. We'll head back to the base as quickly as possible. Just make sure all medical supplies are ready for young Joseph." Caoimhin reported back to Zedren then turned to the unknown ranger. "Obviously Zedren sees you as no threat to the base so I hope you are up for some more running while carrying young Joseph here. I'll follow you as much as i can but if GriffEnd shows up again, you keep running and i'll stall him as best i can. Our priority is to get him back to the base and we are going to accomplish it." galesonic
"Zedren doesn't see me as a threat because he knew I was coming, Caoinhim." the Ranger said as he picked up Joe again. He started to think for a bit about which way to go. "I knew where we should go. If he GriffEND does arrive, it would be best if I fought him. I would be a good enough distraction since we almost have the same speed." he grabbed Caoinhim by the hand and sped off through the city towards the base, but stopped before getting at least a mile near it. "I have the feeling we're being watched."
Nexev
Nexev spat out the popcorn he was munching in shock. "Dude, the new guy is totally breaking the fourth wall! What a dick!" Nexev exclaimed annoyed. "How about we give him a little... greeting? Nothing to make him feel welcome like a little shakedown, it's very useful to have a guy with knowledge of future events. Especially if he is so totally stealing our look." Nexev said with a sinister grin.
Fallen Hero
"I don't think anyone could see us at that speed but in any case...why the hell would you stop running if someone was to start a fight with us?" Caoimhin questioned the ranger. "Let's just keep moving before we get into any more fights and we have alot of enemies who could fight us as well" Coaimhin started to walk ahead of the ranger and Joe while surveying the surroundings. galesonic
"Right." The ranger said as he started to follow. "Sorry. I'm too used to ambush situations. Its like second nature." After minutes, they came across the base, but it was locked for safety measures. The ranger noticed an indent that could fit a morpher. He grabbed Joe's morpher and pressed it in, making the door open. "So here we are. We should get Joe to the medical deck." he grabbed Joe again and ran off to find the medical deck. If he could find it.
Fallen Hero
"At least ask for directions first" sighed Caoimhin as he stepped into the base, de-morphing at the same time and headed to find Zedren. "I really hope things turn out better for us soon. Young Joseph being injured still means there is only two rangers to fight that's if that other ranger stays and helps us out till things work out for the best. I hope Star and the others return soon because i'm doubting our chances if this situation continues to persist. I wish Zordon was still around to give me some belief in our chances." DNovaKnight
As the ranger was running with Joe over his shoulders, a feint figure appeared in midair in the hallway and landed right in front of them. As he stood up it was clear to see it was Diabolico, returning from his shift protecting Dom's sword. He saw this new ranger carrying Joe, and quickly picked up his staff to attack, but then stopped. He looked long and hard at this ranger and then dropped his stance. "Come, this way, we must get Joe to the medical bay." Diabolico led them to the medical bay and immediately strapped Joe to the table. "We've gotten use to Joe coming here, this is kind of like his reserve table." He tried to crack a joke. As Diabolico and the new ranger had Joe on the table, Zedren was walking up the stairs and bumped into Caoimhin. "My friend, how was the battle. Judging from your positure I fear the worst." ------- Meanwhile back outside, GriffEnd still looked for his prey. He saw 3 figures on a bench and immediately flew down and slashed the bench in half. The 3 people ran away screaming - just some college kids. Where had the rangers gone? Just then a stone figure rose out of the ground and materialized into the form of Atlas. "Call off your search and return to base. That new ranger did a number on you." "I'm fine." GriffEnd hissed. "He isn't faster than me." "Well then stop making him think he is. Use your full power already." Atlas ordered him. "Oh I will, which is why i wont return to base until i've let them know that they haven't gotten the best of me." GriffEnd responded. Atlas merely shook his head and started to walk away. Before he departed he looked over his shoulder, "You better hope the Blade kills young Joseph. Vile will not be pleased that you let them get away." He then turned into a stone form again and sank back into the ground.
Fallen Hero
"Fortunately I'm not as badly injured as young Joseph is which would mean he could be out from the battle for a little while but luckily for us a new ranger suddenly appeared and helped fight off GriffEnd with his own speed ability. This ranger seems to know us from what he said when he appeared before us but I'm still unable to figure out who's voice it is still." Caoimhin informed Zedren to the best of his ability. "So what is happening with Sean?...Do you still think he is a risk to us?"
DNovaKnight
Zedren smiled at Caoimhin's words about this mysterious ranger. "Let's head to the medical bay, and I'll explain everything about that. And we can also check up on Joe's situation." As they started to walk, Zedren explained the situation with Sean. "He seems to be back to normal. I'll put him on desk duties for the time being. I'm also debating the use of this." Zedren held up a small bracelet in his hand. "A gift from Andros. It's a monitoring device that was developed by the scientists of KO-35. It not only monitors their behavior, but also can surpress them if they get out of hand." They finally got to the medical bay and saw Joe lying on the table. He was unmorphed, but he was mostly unharmed. He had less bruises than Caoimhin, and yet the monitor showed his heart beat as very slow. Another noticeable thing was that he still held the Genesis Blade in his hand, even though he was unconscious. Usuallt the Blade would have dematerialized if he fell unconscious. galesonic
The ranger noticed Zedren and Caoimhin walk into the medical bay and jumped up from his seat, thought he was still morphed. "I'm glad to see you again, Zedren." he said as he gave a low bo. "It's been a while." he noticed them eye Joe, but mostly the Genesis Blade. "The most peculiar thing about that thing. As soon as he was in the medical bay, it appeared out of nowhere. I tried to get it off, but whenever I try to take it, t keeps shocking me. Thats seems a bit strange for a normal blade." Fallen Hero
Caoimhin walked over to Joe, only inspecting his body for a few seconds before he realized what was going on. Unconscious, low heart rate and other things he could sense added up to his worst fears. "I'm sorry young Joseph. I should have warned you of this." he sighed then turned to Zedren. "This is serious what is happening to him and we must act quickly if we are to stop this process."
DNovaKnight
Zedren looked quite disturbed by these words. "What process is exactly taking place? And what do you suggest we do?" Zedren looked over the body, "Wait ... some of these symptoms look familiar. Long ago, when I was Lord Zed. Before I met the ranger before you, Goldar used the Genesis Blade for a while and experienced some similar side effects. But I thought that it was because he wasn't good. Apparently these side effects aren't based upon allegiance, but something else. Can you please explain more Caoimhin? I might have my old files on this, and I can contact Triforia as well. But I'd truly prefer your knowledge."

Fallen Hero
"Based on the examinations Zordon and Alpha 5 did on the Genesis Blade, they discovered that it it was a powerful weapon but had more potential when it fuses with it's host. It was only after we started to test it's true capabilities when each of us warriors of Good wielded the Genesis Blade to witness this potential that we noticed he curse that could befall on the wielder. Those with weak will and spirit seemed to have the body, mind and soul slowly devoured by the Genesis Blade each time they used the weapon, whereas those who had a strong will and spirit had more control of it and was also had the ability the execute more of it's formidable power on our foes." Caoimhin paused for moment as he looked down at Joe. "I'm not saying young Joseph is weak in spirit, I sensed his was very strong while I tested him back on my island but with the current situation that his happening with our numerous over-powering enemies and his girlfriend imprisoned in one of Vile's cells, only to be used as some bargaining chip so Legion can force us to find Deos for his own personal gains, anyone who was in that position will lose hope in life. The best thing for us to do is to have someone else be it's host till young Joseph is back to full strength as we found out that it would latch on to a more superior fighter of it's own will. I'm not sure why it does it but I wonder if the blade is trying to find the rightful user to help rule over all other creature. Anyway, as Zordon left me to be responsible for the Genesis Blade, i'll take over as it's wielder as i was able to control all those millenia ago, though i regret to say it caused alot of strain on me body and I was unable to fully make use for it's combat capabilities. We just need to make we can remove from my own body if it tries to take over it cuz if we can't then like want happen to Kelyck when we could remove it from his body, we severed his arm off to return the Genesis Blade to it more dormant stage as you have seen young Joseph use." galesonic
"So, we know that if someone doesn't have the will to hold the Genesis Blade, it can basically killl them slowly or quickly depending on will alone." The ranger said as he looked at the Genesis Blade carefully. "The problem is that we only know about the mental effects, but not really physical and psychological. It could be killing him in a molecular scale now and we don't even know. I suggest that we try to find out whats wrong with him by checking both an old sample of his blood and tissue with his current one to see if the Genesis Blade did any major damage. Until then we can actually think of an appropriate way to try to fix this situation."
Fallen Hero
"That can be answered for you. His mind will be in conflict with the blade's own will so if he wins he'll be the same person as he's always been, if the Genesis Blade wins then it will be the one in control of the whole body and will be dangerous to us all as it only wants to destroy. Afterall, we are talking about a weapon Zedren made in his old life. And like i said before the blade fuses with the host, literally, like they are becoming one being and that was why Kelyck had to have his arm severed because that very same thing happened. I cannot be certain of what could happen after that initial joining with the Genesis Blade but i'm not gonna stand here and wait for it to happen either." Caoimhin answered to the ranger. "Anyway, we should first establish who you are, seeing as it sounded like you know of us. Best to reveal who you are so we can be sure if you are friend or foe" Caoimhin suggested to the ranger. "I sort of recognise your voice but I'm still unable to remember you clearly enough to fully trust you."
DNovaKnight
Zedren looked at Caoimhin "As far as Joe, the only way for him to maintain himself is to remove the Blade. If we don't, it'll either kill him, or take him over completely. The power of the blade is poisoning his blood. If we don't act quickly, he'll either die ... or we'll have another problem on our hands." He then looked at the other ranger and smiled, "And yes ... you should let him know who you are." galesonic
"Right." The ranger said as he stepped back. Suddenly, a bright blue light surrounding him, would was nearly blinding. Within seconds later, his idenity was revealed. It was Brandon, but he looked different then the last time he saw them. He looked older and lost his spikey hair to have straight hair with a bang nearly covering his left eye. He still wore his glasses as usual. He also wore a blue jumpsuit with the Sigma badge on the shoulder. "I guess I forgot to power down." he said with a nervouse chuckle. "I usually forget." Fallen Hero
Caoimhin stared at the person that was in the suit. "Hmmm...I think I remember now. Brandon, that was your name, am I right?...You've changed since we last met. How many years passed for you after we returned to our own timeline?" Caoimhin didn't give Brandon a chance to answer at that moment as his attention turned to a more important matter at hand. "Zedren, I hope I have your permission to keep hold of the Genesis Blade till young Joseph his back to full health?" Flames burst around his forearms as he prepared to remove the blade from Joe's body. "Hopefully my powers will be strong enough to tame the weapon again like I was able to all those years ago"
