The Great Debate Digimon Or Pokemon

Digimon looks really looks better in monster wise, but is just like pokemon.

It's only the same in the VERY basic concept. They're just in the same "monster-raising" genre, but other than that, they're very different.

They have Evos

True, but like I said, they're similar in basic concept and many others in the genre have them too.

Firstly, Digimon have 6 stages, while Pokémon have 3.

Second, Digimon are able to revert to previous stages, while Pokémon can't.

Third, Digimon evolution lines "branch out", meaning most have several evolution trees. Most Pokémon lines are linear.

and capture systems

Um, hell no. If you've played ANY of the games, or just watched the anime, you know there is no such thing as "capturing Digimon" or "DigiBalls" (thank god there isn't).

Instead, you get Digimon from the get-go in the show and some of the games.

In the DS games, there is a "data system" that accumulates data every time you battle Digimon. Gain enough data for a Digimon species, and you can create your own Digimon of that species from scratch.

So yeah, Pokémon and Digimon differ greatly in this field.

and they battle other digimon.

Well, obviously it wouldn't be a monster-raiser series without battles.

But again, there is quite a difference.

Pokémon has kept the same battle system for the entire series; Digimon changes the battle mechanic nearly every game. (The only exception are the Digimon DS games.)

From Digimon, we've seen: a "pet battle" system, classic turn-based battle, hack-n-slash, fighters, and customized turn-based.

i used to like digimon alot, so in anime wise, digimon. In game wise, pokemon. Its fun to hack pokemon!:3

If i remember corectly, digimon can talk right?

Yes, yes they can.

Data Squad was the worst Digimon game to date, but the DS games are going in the right direction (not saying they're going to beat Pokémon anytime soon).

If anything, the Digimon games at least let you use your favourites in battle by training properly and using equipment.

I mean, I love Drowzy and Luxray, but it's a shame they're UU in metagame.

Meanwhile, I like a bunch of Digimon considered average or weak (Mamemon, who's fully-evolved yet isn't even Mega), yet they're still decent in battles after good training.
