"I really wonder when is my turn" Gregory asks him self and looks his deck and his favorite card "Dark Paladin", "I'm so nervous" continues asking himself and looking the door that leads to examination room..."hmmm I could ask them..." and looks the boys that speak to each other

Shade sighed and looked at Dragobie. "What do you think?" "We should probably wait for the exams to officially start sir... Tyler might end up not being one of our exam foes... And he'll be an even tougher opponent after exams then now... Especially because of your gifts, Master..." Shade chuckled. "You think he will put them to their full use?" "Nothing is for sure, Master. But it will be fun seeing it personally after exams." "Yes... It will... I wonder if his gadgets will work well with the gifts though..." "Aye... The gifts are powerful indeed. But only he can use them for only he has the required cards to do so." Shade looked at Tyler, obviously curious if he has touched the deck holder yet since he gave it to him.

Starting to get impatient and hungry, he started eating the Goldfish. He ate them all in a few minutes.After he ate, he looked at the deck holder. The Gadgets stared at it. "Lets open it!" said Red Gadget. "I told you, we can"t open it till the exams are over."said Tyler. "Well, when will they start the exams?" asked Yellow Gadget. "I dont know, i still haven"t dueled yet." said Tyler. Oh well, we"ll just have to wait then." said Green Gadget. Tyler looked at the deck holder. He wondered what was in there. Was it a card or something else?

A loud voice that was calling Gregory into the examination room broke the silence in the waiting room and make Gregory to attract a lot of attention...Gregory took a deep breath, looked the door to the examination room and said "Here I come". A last look of the deck encouraged him and he started walking through that door.

After a long lasting examination Gregory returns with a big smile on his face and he sits on a chair next to the exit door...He sees the monster that helped mostly in this important duel and then he draws 3 more cards, puts them in his hand and the rest deck leaves it on the chair next to him. The cards he drew are "Dark Magician", "Buster Blader", "Mage Power" and "Dark Paladin". "I owe you" says, puts the cards and the rest of them in his pocket, waiting for the next examination duel.

Tyler was now getting bored and waiting patiently was a hard thing to do. He still hadn"t dueled yet, and who he was facing, he did not know. He looked at his deck. He could easily win his exams if he drew the right cards. Of course, he wouldnt get every card he needed, but still, That would greatly increase his chances. And the gift that Shade gave Tyler also puzzled him. Why open it after the exams if it would help with the exams. It was probably a card, but he did overhear Shade and Dragobye sometime earlier. He only heard:

 

Dragobye:"...because of your gifts, Master..."

Shade:"You think he will put them to their full use?"

Dragobye:".Nothing is for sure, Master. But it will be fun seeing it personally after exams."

 

That had given Tyler some hints. It obviousy was more then 1 thing, since Dragobye said gifts. He also figured out that he had to "use it to its potential" and that seeing "it" personally.That ment that Dragobyes never seen it......unless.....its some cards that have duel spirits!

Gaspard walked up to the duel going on between the teacher and student. Gaspard looked at the teach intently. He began wondering why the teacher was dueling without it being time yet. He took his staff cards out of the staff deck and looked at them and thought "It's time for this duel to end I guess. Gaspard activated his duel disk and joined the duel...slightly and said "you two know that it isn't time to duel yet. As Duel Academy security officer, detention teacher and strategy teacher. Hereby end this duel temporarily. Imperial Explosion activate." Both duelist's lp went down to zero.

Tyler was shocked. The Gadgets seemed to read his mind, but instead of shockness, they were thrilled. "Wow, a new buddy to mess with!" said Red. "Isnt that great!" Green asked, but Tyler was long gone. He had approached Shade. "Shade, i think i have been able to guess whats inside this deck holder. Inside are some cards that haveduel spirits in them. Am i right?" Tyler asked Shade. If it was a card, then why shouldnt he open it? it would help in his exams. But something toldhim not to open it, so he awaited Shades answer while getting out the deck holder. But an explosion came at once after he finished getting out the deck holder. He turned around andd saw two teachers and a student. The explosion was obviously came from a duel, because the student and teacher had a duel disk out and it was fully opened. He went to one of the teachers: a short teacher who had a cape on. Feeling slightly intimitaded, he asked the teacher "What happened?".

 

OOC: Hey Maadd? I dont think some of our duelists are here yet so we cant really start the exams........

Gregory tried to understand why that boy stared that box so...so...i dont know....maybe there is something in there that he tries to figure out what it is. i suppose i dont know and in the matter of fact i dont care..."I'm so tired...i must sleep. Maybe tomorrow he could have figured out whats in there".....(OCC Good night people)

Shade listened carefully and glared at the deck holder. "You'll guys will come out when exams are finished!" Dragobie chuckled. "They always were loudmouths..." "Yup... SHUT UP IN THERE!!! You'll get your chance later! Those Ancient Gadgets are so annoying..." "Agreed... But they are useful when used with Red, Yellow, and Green over here." Dragobie nudged his master again. "So... How is your cousin Ancient Gadget Harpoon Dragon doing in there Dragobie?" "He is having troubles with Ancient Gadget Saw Slash. Thats for sure." "Well their attributes are opposites. Its only natural." "You have a point there, master." Shade and Dragobie looked at Tyler, wondering what he is going to do with the deck holder.

"Shade, shall i open it? The time they could help me is right now during the exams. I mean, the world wont self-destroct if i open it right? Also, the gadgets are annoying me to open it up right now.I can barely make out their words, but i think they said something like "cards" and "family" " Asked Tyler. Any time he needed it would be now and the exams were going to start any second now. But they could also be a big headacche......he will take the chances at getting an even more michevious duel spirit.

The chancellor took to the stand where the microphone was and began "Ehem, could i have everyones attention, welcome to the opening of the examination tests. I know you've all been waiting and now we can begin them remember to follow the officials intructions. Those who aren't dueling at present i ask you to sit in the grandstand. If you haven't found out which group your in you can chek on the announcement board, every student will have three matches each and gain points based on their results. We will begin with the first 4 matches! They are Ventus Rhodes vs Tyler Blidy, Matteo Bianco vs Ruga650, Jack Fudo vs K1ll Switch and Jake Fudo vs Rhyperior34!

Tyler had immediatly sat down before Shade could answer. The Chancellor, apparently called The chancellor had said that he would face....Ventus Rhodes. A bad thought just occured. Rhodes. Atticus Rhodes. Atticus had been Nightshroud, so Ventus could have Nightshrouds skill and inheireted "Red-Eyes Black Dragon". "Shade, I may fight THE Red-Eyes Black Dragon that Atticus had. Oh well, just gotta act like ill know what im doing..." Tyler said to Shade. He just could not believe it. He didnt know how to stop a Red-Eyes Black Dragon...

Matteo heard the chancellor call his name for one of the first 4 duels. He began to stand up as an official came over to him.

 

"Matteo Bianco you're on field number 2 head there now."

 

Matteo smirked and replied. "No worries" He began to walk towards the field catching the attention of all the students in the grand stand, upon approaching he stood at one end preparuing for the duel he was about to have by bringing out his duel disk, putting his Deck in it and activating his duel disk. He didn't know who his opponent was or why he was taking ages to get to the field, matteo was simply patient however.

Shade shook his head. "They aren't even ready yet... They need more time..." Dragobie disappeared and the deck holder in Tyler's hand glowed bright blue. "Once all of the attribute colors are there... They will be ready..." Shade looked at the deck holder as the blue slowly faded away and came back. "Wait till after exams... Then check again... Once all the colors are there... Open it wide and pull them out..." The deck flashes from an ocean blue to a fire red repeaedly. "FIRE and WATER... Only four more to go..."

Tyler still had not decided how to defeat Red-Eyes and then some strange talk from Shade about lights appearing (which he wuld still check even though it seemed like a joke) when an official looking guy came. "Tyler Blidy, over to Field 1 please." said the official. "All right then" Tyler said while going to the field, Gadgets following behind him. He got to Field 1. Tyler dove into his pocket, got his deck, put it into his duel disk, activated it and waited to duel Ventus, who used that Red-Eyes most likely. He had practice with Emily, but Kuribohs were not Red-Eyes...

Shade heard his name called. "Hmph... Matteo huh... Duel field 2... Dragobie... Lets go..." Shade headed to the duel field and inserted his deck into the duel disk. "So you're my opponent? Try to entertain me..." He drew 5 cards and watched his opponent. "I'll let you have the first go." Shade looked at the 5 cards in his hand. "I am Shade Qwarrcall... Who are you?" Shade chuckled at the cards in his hand. "I'm sorry. But this won't be too long." Shade chuckled again. He looked up and stared at his opponent, wonder what his first move will be.

Tyler decideed to kick back, relax, and watch Slade and Matteo fight.The Gadgets were watching to, but they were not exacly helping. "Bring out Dragobye Shade!" said Red Gadget. "We want to see him battle!" said Green Gadget. "Show him the true power of a dragon who will get beaten by me!" said Yellow Gadget. "Your not helping you know..." Said Tyler. Shade could pass, but he may not, who knew what deck matteo had...

Matteo after hearing the "Try to entertain me" statement and began to laugh. He then stopped and looked at his opponent and laughed again unable to control it, he then suddenly however pulled a serious face.

 

"Entertain you?" he began, "Trust me, you'll be more then entertained." Matteo drew 5 cards and smiled at what he saw. "Okay so i Draw!"

 

Matteo looked at the 6 cards in his hand for a second.

 

"I set 2 cards face-down!" 2 images of cards appeared face down. "Then i Summon Glorious Char, Tree!" (ATK/0 DEF/2300) "And when his Summoned i can switch him to Def Position and inflict 500 damage to your for every Glorious monster i control! so that's 500!"

 

"And that'll do for now!"

"Wow, he already lost 500 life points..." Tyler thought to himself. Right now, Dragobye better come out. Or something strong enough to pierce that 2300 tree...Observing great right now since Tyler may face them off in a duel. That and it lowered the fact of how nervous he was. He thought off Red-Eyes falling to the present Slade gave Tyler. Well, Slade better make a comeback quick, or he will lose more then 500 life ponts... he better do good enough to get in Obselik, so he can go into Obselik Blue dorm with him when he gets into Ra or Slifer.

Shade drew a sixth card and snickered. "This won't be long. I use heavy storm to destroy both your facedowns." Shade watched as both facedowns were sucked into a large tornado and destroyed. "Now I activate the spell Double Summon! With this I can summon twice this turn." Shade looked at his now 4 card hand. "Now I will summon one of my level tuners. Delta Fly!" A small dragon that appears part insect appears on the field. "Now I summon Baby Dragon!" A small orange dragon appears on the field. "Now I activate Delta Fly's effect! Increasing Baby Dragon's level by one!" Baby Dragon's level is increased by one star. "Now I tune my monsters up to synchro summon Exploder Dragonwing!" The level 3 Delta Fly and level 4 Baby Dragon tune up and a large bright gray dragon with red wings appear on the field. ATK: 2400 DEF: 1600 "I am ready for battle, my lord..." "EXPLODER DRAGONWING! DESTROY THAT TREE!" Dragonwing glares at Glorious Char, Tree. "Now for his effect! When he attacks a monster that has the same or less attack points then him, it is immediately destroyed!" Dragonwing blasts Glorious Char, Tree "And the destroyed monster's ATK is dealt to you as damage! But lucky for you, your plant had no ATK points..." Shade looked at his hand and nodded. "Now I set one card facedown and end my turn."

Quite a comeback! Not only did he succesfully destroy his face down cards, but he also destroyed the tree and now has a 2400 ATK monster on the field! Impressive! He could win, he could lose. But what else does Matteo have in that deck? How good of a was he? Quickly remembering all these cards was getting tough, so he just gave up and just decided to find out there dueling styles if he ever battles them. Tyler wondered about that Red-Eyes to, and how HE can defeat it. How will he defeat that? And how can Shade defeat his own opponent?

Matteo looked at the 4 cards in his hand. "I activate my face down card dark room of nightmare! Now whenever u take damage u take an extra 300! And now from my hand the spell card Mystical space typhoon! to destroy your face-down! Next i activate Glorious Swift from my hand, when i control no monsters i can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from my Graveyard, so come back char Tree! (DEF/2300) and u know his effect u take 500 more damage! And an extra 300.

 

That's not all from my hand I Normal Summon Glorious Altaria in ATK mode!" (AtK/1800) "Are you ready! Synchro Summon from my level 4 altaria and my level 4 char tree to Summon! Glorious Scorch, Flame Basilisk!" (ATK/2700)

 

"Now go Scorch ATK Scorch Flame Swipe!" The basilisk swipes a fiery swipe at the dragon (assuming there is no response) and drestroys it. "That's 300 more damage to you."
