Duel Academy: Destiny's End - Arc 2 - The Approaching Darkness [Started/Accepting via OOC]

OOC: It wasn't the duel damage that hurt Zetaru, he was having a headache because he was remembering some of his past.

 

Zetaru smiled, walking towards Rex, and held out his hand. At that moment, he noticed that something was wrong with his Duel Disk. The green gem on it was blindingly bright, which was unusual. He ignored it and told Rex, "You did well! I am curious, what dorm do you want to be in? Perhaps, I could help you get in that one, as long it's not Obelisk; I don't think I can do that. Oh, and just so you know, my face-down was 'Solemn Judgement', which was what I was hinting previously."

[Daxter]

"Well, I would like to go into Slifer Red. I know it is the low class dorm but..." Rex stopped, he didnt get into the sotry about his sister, no point. "I would like to be in red." Rex looked over to Eatos, she looked like she was ashamed of him. Eatos, you know if I would have won, I

wouldn't have been in the Red Drom like I need to. Eatos turned her head away. Rex didn't mind if she was upset, he did what he hand to, even if it meant not dueling to his full potential.

Kay smiled. "I still have one more card in my hand Mr. Yami. I activate my monster Beast Negater special effect. All chains are negated and the only card effect that is activated is the card first played in the chain which is my spell. This card also prevents further chains from occuring. So you lose I'm afraid." Kay watched as Akarui's LP hit 0 and the duel ended.

 

-Meanwhile-

 

"I'm sorry Madame, but my Naturia Apple's special effect causes all spells, traps, and effect monster's effects to be negated and destroyed if they're activated on the turn my Naturia Apple is summoned."

Madame Clive blinked once as her Spell shattered, the Tricky's attempted counterattack failing and it exploded as Balkion hit it. "I see," she said, sounding mildly surprised.

 

LP: 3500

 

Apple darted forward and hit her as well, dropping her LP by a further 300 points. (Just assuming it will also attack)

 

LP: 3200

 

"Nicely done, Miss Rune," Madame Clive said, smiling. "It's my turn!" She drew her next card and looked out on the field thoughtfully. "I summon Kycoo, the Ghost Destroyer!" she stated, a strange, priest-like figure appearing before her. (Lvl 4, 1800/700)

 

"Kycoo attacks your Apple," she announced, the half-masked monster hurling some sort of sacred light at the Apple, which shattered apart easily. "When Kycoo deals Battle Damage, I can remove up to your of your graveyard monsters from the game. I select Naturia Cosmobeet and Naturia Mantis."

 

"Then I set 1 card facedown and end my turn."

LP-Felicity: 2500

 

"Alright, my turn." Felicity drew her card. "I'll activate Strawberry's Sweetdew. When there is a Naturia monster face-up on my field, I can draw two cards. I'll play Naturia Forest and summon Naturia Cactus to the field in attack mode [ATK:1800]. Now I'll have my Balkion attack your Kycoo and I'll attack with my Cactus afterwards." A lot of thoughts ran through Felicity's mind. "(Does she have a trap? Spell? I wonder how will this duel turn out....)"

 

"Calm down Felicity, you're doing fine.... (This woman is powerful....)" Balkion thought to himself.

"I activate Torrential Tribute when you summon your Cactus," Madame Clive said, her oldest facedown card flipping faceup. "When a monster is Summoned, this card destroys every monster on the field."

 

From within the card, a flood burst out, preparing to envelop all the monsters on the field. Madame Clive watched Felicity with a calm expression. What would the girl try to do to evade this Trap?

"I'll use my Naturia Gratification to tribute my Cactus to negate the effects of your trap card and since I negated your card's effect, my Naturia Forest's effect activates. I can add a level 3 or lower Naturia monster to my hand from my deck." Felicity added a monster to her hand and turned her attention back to the field. "Now with that card's effect cancled, my monster is still going to attack your monster" Felicity was lightly sweating from her forehead in anticipation of what was going to happen.

"I activate my other Trap: Compulsory Evacuation Device! This Trap returns one monster on the field to their owner's hand and I choose your Balkion! Being a Synchro monster, it will return to your Extra Deck," Madame Clive said calmly, her other facedown flipping up.

 

He could negate it by Tributing his Balkion, and then let him add another Naturia to his hand, or he could return his Synchro to his Extra Deck. Either way, I'm saved from his attack.

"I'm sorry Madame but trap cards won't work, not when I still have cards in my graveyard." Felicity responded. She wiped off some of the sweat off of her forehead and began to continue with her plan. "I'll activate Balkion's special effect. By removing my Strawberry's Sweetdew and my Naturia Cactus from play, your trap card is negated and destroyed. Meaning that my Balkion can still attack." Balkion rushed further towards Kycoo.

Madame Clive chuckled. "That's where you're mistaken. As long as Kycoo is on the field, you can't remove cards from the Graveyard, meaning you cannot use Balkion's effect at all."

 

Kycoo began chanting softly, glowing with a holy light. The cards Felicity was attempting to remove faded and returned to the Graveyard. "You'll need another tactic if you want to negate this Trap," Madame Clive said, smiling still.

 

The evacuation device formed around Balkion, preparing to eject the monster.

[spoiler=OOC:]Wow, whenever I use Kycoo, all I really care about was the first effect and completely forgot the second effect XD

 

 

 

"Oops I forgot...." Felicity stated as she scratched the back of her head. Balkion's face showed a funny expression with a sweatdrop on his forehead as he was ejected back into the extra deck zone. "I guess there's no way around this huh?" Felicity asked Balkion who appeared on the side of her. "Well you did pretty well, but you gotta think before making mistakes." Balkion stated.

"It's my turn," Madame Clive stated, drawing. She glanced at the drawn card. "I summon Sonic Bird!" The eagle monster formed on her field, soaring overhead, goggled eyes studying Felicity. (Lvl 4, 1400/1000)

 

"When this card is Summoned, I add one Ritual Spell from my deck to my hand, and I pick my Black Illusion Ritual," Harriet said, withdrawing the spell from her deck and placing it beside the other card in her hand, the blue card she had been holding for almost the entire game. "Relinquished..." she mused.

"I activate the Black Illusion Ritual!" Harriet announced, holding up her Ritual Spell. The jar from before appeared on her field.

"For the offering, I offer my Djinn, Releaser of Rituals from my Graveyard!" Madame Clive continued, the card she had discarded in the first turn sliding from the Grave and the image of the monster disappearing into the jar. The smoke billowed out and the instructor's ace monster materialized, eerie eye glowing. (Lvl 1, 0/0)

"Sonic Bird and Kycoo perform direct attacks."

M: Sonic Bird (ATK: 1400), Kycoo (ATK: 1800), Relinquished (ATK: 0)

Both Sonic Brid and Kycoo performed their attacks and hit Felicity's LP with 3200 points of damage.

 

LP-Felcity: 0

 

Felicity smiled and gave a bow. "Thank you Madame for that very knowledgeable duel. I think I learn a lot during that duel and I'm truly grateful having you as my opponent. I hope I can learn a lot more in my time at Duel Academy." Felicity then deactivated her duel disk. Balkion smiled at Felicity. "Don't worry Felicity, I'm sure you'll become better at dueling as you progress through your classes." Balkion reassured Felicity.

 

"I know I will. I'm going to do my best." Felicity stated to Balkion.

"You did admirably well," Madame Clive agreed, smiling. "I have the information for your scores and I wish you the best of luck in your classes." The card holograms disappeared and Harriet reformed her deck. Such promising students they had this year. Much better applicants than the last year, anyway. She enjoyed facing these applicants and felt they had plenty of potential and fought their best in their duels. The outcome was irrelevent in these exams, unless they seemed to give up.

"(Ugh! What's wrong with me?! I'm acting more robotic by the second! I cannot allow this! No more holding back!)" Akarui thought as he placed the cards back on his Duel Disk and his life points hit 0 then went back up "The effect of my final trap. This is card is not effected by the effects of spells! Metal Life! Now I remove from play as many Metal Warriors in my graveyard as I want and I gain life points equal to half of their attack points!" Akarui declared as his life points went up to 2800.

"Thank you for your kind words Madame." Felicity said with a smile. She then went back to her seat. "Boy, that was some duel eh???" Naturia Cliff appeared besides Felicity.

 

"Cliff you weren't even summoned in the fight!" Naturia Rosewhip appeared and said.

"I'm sorry Mr. Yami but my card's effect prevents further chains from happening and since my card was an effect monster, your trap's effect to be unaffected by spells are no use. You lose Mr. Yami." Kay stated.

[Guest Dementuo]

"Wow. That Kay kid is almost as good as I am. At least there are some Strong Duelists here." Thought Zero. "Well, no time for that now. I have to investigate that Akarui guy. Maybe there's something around here that will give me some sort of insight as to why he's so... Emotionless..." Zero continued. "But still, I'm glad that there are people who can actually get around that guy. That guy Kay might be of some use to me..." Zero thought,

"(I guess I had no choice but to hold back...)" Akarui thought as his LP went down to 0. Akarui walked up to Kay "Thank you Kay. You have reawaken the human within me." Akarui stated as he formed his hand into a fist. He punched himself in the chest. Creating a hole. He ripped out some wiring within him. Blood started to flow out of him "Thank... You." he stated before he collapsed unconscious.

 

"Get some medical personnel down there!" Chancellor Yami yelled into the microphone as some docs took Akarui to the infirmary.

"Human part?" Kay was confused by Akarui's last statement. Kay then witnessed Akarui pulling out some wiring from his chest. "Uhh..... What the heck is going on here?" Octavius appeared besides Kay. "I have no idea.... but you got blood on your shirt Kay...." Kay looked down on his shirt. "GAH!!! I shouldn't have stood so close to him when he did that, but now I'm wondering just what is he...." Kay walked away towards the stand and sat down, cleaning his shirt with a napkin.

 

Rick was sitting nearby. "(I'm probably going crazy but that teacher just ripped wiring out of himself...)

"!!! What?! He was just a Cyborg?! Huh, no wonder he always had some sort of trick up his sleeve. And what about the Chancellor? He didn't seem fazed at all by the fact that one of his Instructors was a Cyborg. Or did he already know...?" Zero thought to himself. "Either way, I'm going to have to talk with him as soon as I can. I need to learn more about him. Just what in the hell is going on here?"

Chancellor Yami sat back in his seat "How is that possible?" he asked himself. A teacher came by and handed Chancellor Yami a slip of paper "Very good." he stated. Relieved with what he saw on the paper. He took the microphone "Sorry for the inconvenience. Whoever is worried of Mr. Yami's condition, he'll be alright. Whoever is still worried about him. The infirmary is just down that hallway." Chancellor Yami explained.

"Just down the hall? Guess it's time I paided my Instructor a visit." Zero thought. Zero walked down the hall to the infurmury, opened the door to Akarui's room, and went in. "Hmm... So he's still unconcious. Oh well. I'll just wait here then." Zero sat down in a nearby chair, added the card he got from Akira to his deck, uploaded the info on his IPhone, and ran a simulation duel using an App he got from his brother to help pass the time.

Akarui sat up in his bed. His chest was all patched up. "Zero? Shouldn't you be at the stadium?" Akarui asked. "(Could it be? Am I completely human once again?!)" Akarui thought as he thought hard on it "(Does this mean I'm no longer able to travel the multiverse?)" Akarui thought "(No, I'm able to. I'm just completely human once again.....)" Akarui thought with a wide smile as he thought hard.

"I came to ask you a few questions, so I'll get to the point quickly. First, just who in the hell are you. Second, what is going on here. Third, where did you come from. Fourth, did anyone else know about this before now?" Zero was determined not to leave empty handed. "Just what in the hell is going on here? First, the Duel Spirits, Then that Akira kid, and now this!" Zero thought to himself.

"My name is Akarui Yami. No one else knows of this until now. I'm from the future. I was in an accident a few years ag- in years to come. Right now at this point in time I'd be ten." Akarui explained "Does that answer your questions?" Akarui asked as he took his shirt and jacket off the side table and put them on. He then took his Duel Disk and put it on his arm "Come on. Time to head back to the stadium." Akarui stated as he got out of bed and waited at the door.
