Duel Academy: Destiny's End - Arc 2 - The Approaching Darkness [Started/Accepting via OOC]

"You left it in the crate?.." Kazu asks curiously wondering what would make him do that as he listened on. "hm.. you think you've lost your sanity? I guess it would be natural to think that since I am taking you on the Dragon and for the last time I'm telling you that the Entrance Exam on the boat decides where you go.. not whether you will be in the Academy or not" he says calmly as the dragon lands, hopping off of it infront of the Main Building as he looks up at Kenshin. "well I guess we should start heading up there now shall we?" he asks kindly as the dragon lays down to let Kenshin off of it. "What I'd like to know is how you think your not worthy of those Six Samurai cards yet now you're wearing glowing blue Six Samurai style armour.. may I ask why?".

"I can see that, but you are wrong. My friends do not reside here. The people here are no more than allies." He paused for another evil laugh. "I am but a shell of my true self, and my true self is but a shell of something even greater, which is now dead. But enough of that." He stared at the angry Akira, and grinned once more.

"Shall we? You'll go first, of course, though."

[Spirit of DMG]

"Do whatever you want," Damen said, walking off, brushing hair out of his face. He walked off alone, toward the Slifer dorms. "Oh, and by the way," he said to the guy who was with Kenshin, "I have a name, and it's not 'Slifer.' My name is Damen. Damen Auguste Esposito. It's not a hard name to remember." With his hands in his pockets, and with a bored expression on his face, he just walked away. "All you want is to get a look around your new surroundings, and all you get is crazy guys who didn't even pay attention when the format for the exams was given..."

[Zextra]

"Nrghhh..." Akira slid his deck into his Duel Disk. He drew his 5 cards. The moment he draw, he was shocked. "Oh, no! This is the wrong deck!" he thought to himself. "I'm never supposed to use this one!" Akira had drew the wrong deck. Instead of his Blackwing deck, he was using his Nova deck - the one deck he promised never to use again. "Ugh, I place 3 cards face-down and end my turn!" Akira was really worried. THis deck was supposed to be kept a secret. However, as a duelist, he had to finish with it.

"The crate was filled with cards, I figured it would be the best way to assure The Six Samurai that they're going to be found by a stronger Duelist than myself. And, no, as you very well know, what with being an extension of my subconscious and all, is that I've been talking to cards my whole life, and I've seen them move, I was never very sane to begin with, the fact that I'm dreaming up a dead man, his kid brother, several dragons, and a random Slifer Red student that just seemed to be there, is proof of my clinical insanity." He dismounted the dragon, briefly wondered what he actually did, and looked down at his worn out clothes, "OK, now I'm just screwing with me, I'm not wearing glowing blue samurai armor, and neither are any of my hallucinations."

"A problem?" Thanatos taunted. He drew his card. "You seem to have no monsters on the field. Normally, a Duelist would summon a monster and attack with it, but of course, you have face-downs for a reason. Unfortunately, I have no summonable monsters in my hand and no spell or traps in it either. So what's the most logical thing for me to do? I'm going to end my turn without doing anything whatsoever."

And he was serious. They believe anything I tell them. Really, trust, hah.

Kazu looks at Kenshin as he rmoves th card from the duel disk as the duel disk dissappears, the dragons along with it. "extension of your subconscious?.. I'm not a hallucination and neither am I dead.. I was unconscious" he says his voice neutral as he begins to lead Kenshin through the building to the chancellor's office. "If you are not wearing any glowing blue Samurai armor then why was it on you when i looked at you before?" he asks as he starts walking up the stairs. "this kid.. he seriously believes he's gone insane.. I guess I should have just walked him here, even though I don't walk around the place much anymore".

[The White Wolf]

Yakori activated his duel disk and threw a Blank Card behind Zetaru. A black barrier surrounded the two "Let's duel!" he yelled as he drew five cards than a sixth "I'll summon Kuriboh in defense mode." Next I play the Spell Card. Kuriboh Up. Now I discard one card from my hand and increase Kuriboh's level by four!" Yakori explained "Now I activate Five Star Twilight!" Yakori declared "I sacrifice Kuroboh, and Special Summon the remaining Kuriboh Brothers from my deck!" Yakori explained as five stars flew out of his deck "I summon another Kuriboh, Kuriba, Kuribi, Kuribe and Kuribu from my deck!" Yakori explained [All have same DEF: 200] "Kuri." Kuriboh stated "Kuri." Kuriba stated "Kuri." Kuribi stated "Kuri." Kuribe stated ("Kuri.") Kuribu stated "Kuri." they all stated at the same time. Every time doing a small dance when they said it "I set two cards face-down and end my turn." Yakori stated.

The card with Yakori's picture blinked blank, than back to his picture a few times "We're losing control!" one of the men yelled. "What?! That's impossible!" another yelled "Yes, but he just summoned his top five favorite cards in his deck before we took control of him." another explained "What?! You haven't switched his deck?! You only changed the cards?!" another yelled. A big argument started this way.

 

-Meanwhile-

 

Yakori grabbed his head "Aaaaah!" he yelled out "Kuriboh, Kuriba, Kuribi, Kuribe, Kuribu! Help me please!" he yelled out. Going mad, holding onto his head. The Kuriboh brothers went up to him. All with worried expressions on their faces.... er eyes. Looking at Zetaru that way.

[Spirit of DMG]

"Huh, what's this?" Damen asked himself as he stumbled upon a duel. "Well, this is interesting. Wonder what's going on here. I didn't think students were allowed to duel outside the arenas they have in the academy. Then again, after the crazy kid..." he muttered. He enjoyed watching duels, but something was-off-about this one.Though, he couldn't quite figure out why he was a bit unsettled about this. "Well, either way, better find someone. Please let it be anyone but Clive." He muttered, running off to find a teacher, or preferably the Chancellor. "And why Chancellor anyway, don't academies and whatnot usually have 'Deans' you know? Like the sausage guy?" he said, clearly, audibly, not caring who, if anyone, heard.

[Blackstone Dresden]

"OK, I'm in denial, great..." Kenshin muttered, "I've come to grips with my insanity, and my damn hallucination is have a Descartes moment. Dude, I'm sure you think that you're thinking, but you're not. You're just a hallucination brought on by a combination of stress, my already fractured sanity, and, of course, by my failure to get into the Academy. Seriously, I just imagined that I was flying on a dragon. Dragons don't exist." He let out an exasperated sigh, "You're only here because I already shut away the hallucinations that I had of my Deck. I wish I didn't, I'd like to apologize to them again for losing, even if I was only talking to myself." He got a thought, "Wait, am I even talking, or am I just standing, or sitting, or walking, silently. And if I am indeed talking, am I talking when the part of me that's you speaks, or are you just a voice in my head? And, if the former, what happens if we both speak simultaneously?"

Kazu looks at Kenshin as they walk up the stairs towards the chancellor's office. "I think I am thinking but I'm not?.. will you stop imagining your having a mental breakdown and hurry up?" he asks quietly. He then reaches the top pof the stairs as Kenshin starts talking again, "you are walking up the stairs, heading for the chancellor's office, talking when you talk and hearing me, not a hallucination, talk when i talk to you.. what will it take for you to realise your not insane?" he asks quietly before walking down the hallway to the chancellor's office door. "...this kid, he still thinks he is insane and that im a hallucination...man if this kid really is a duelist here I hope the chancellor can set him straight" he thinks to himself as he knocks on the door lightly.

"As you draw, I activate my Trap Card Nova Explosion, which allows me to discard 1 "Nova" monster, then you will have to discard any monsters in your hand with an ATK of less than the monster I discarded! Now, I'm discarding my Nova Deity, Gradark with 3000 ATK, whose effect inflicts 3000 points of damage to you! (Than LP: 1000).

Now, I'll draw and place 1 more card face-down. That's all" Akira looked down at his deck and regretted ever dueling with it. He meant to pull out his Blackwing deck but switched the 2 earlier up in the dorm by accident. "Still, I have to win, as otherwise, he'll take my soul..." Akira thought to himself.

Inside the Dark Acadamy there was an unwanted visitor, one that Yoroi knew a bit too well. "Well well well, look at the crowd gathered here. The last time I saw you guys was when we worked out the deal about my puppet." The man was dressed in a grey detective's suit and a matching hat that covered his green emo-like hair.

 

"You see, I was watching my little puppet and I noticed a little shadow-like hand nearing him. It made me wonder, were they trying to make me look like an idiot or were they were they the idiots?" The man's voice was pretty laid back, even if he was talking about a aggressive topic. "I didn't bring the kid to the Lunar World for nothing you know, it wasn't just to start the corruption so you guys could steal him from me."

"Enter." Chancellor Yami stated.

 

-Meanwhile-

 

The man at the chair closest to the other man stood up. He turned to him. All that could be seen was his suit and the shimmer of his glasses "I believe we had a deal..... One hundred years ago. I believe our contract expired fifty years ago. You could do as you wish. And we don't touch them." the man explained. Adjusting his glasses "And now I believe since it's been an extra fifty years. We can do as we please. You should of read the fine print." the man explained before snapping his fingers and a virtual contract appeared in front of the other man "If you really believe so. Let us duel than." he stated as he snapped his fingers again, and the contract disappeared and a Battle City Duel Disk appeared on his arm "We duel to a different set of rules." the man stated as he snapped his fingers and virtual cards flowed in front of the two men "Remember this?" he asked.

Kazu opened the door, walking into the room and then standing beside the door so that Kenshin could be seen. "Chancellor Yami, This student is confused about which dorm he's in, believing he doesn't belong here and believes that I am a hallucination" he says as he waits for Chancellor Yami's reply he walks over to the window slowly. "I wonder whether Peter has recovered from the shock I gave him earlier as I revealed I was his brother". "Chancellor, I would also like to inform you that my younger brother has found out I'm here and may still be quite shocked about it.. I'm sorry if that causes any problems with Peter's classes".

[Blackstone Dresden]

Kenshin swore audibly and walked out of the room, "Another hallucination..." He muttered, looking around and admiring his own attention to detail, "My god though, for having just made this place up on the fly it seems fairly realistic. Rooms numbered in sequential order, everything's even. Huh, wonder where I actually am..." He said, walking back down the stairs, "Judging by the fact that there's an incline, I'd say a large hill, maybe a small mountain... Oh, right, there's a volcano on the island." He whistled, "I just hallucinated myself up and down a dormant volcano... Man, I wish I could snap myself out of this dream world, I've never seen a volcano up close."

"I have no idea why you perfer this outdated format, your telling me you don't already have a deck?" The man sighed, he wanted to talk to Yoroi after he was done here but if he was going to have to duel... "Why don't I use my deck and you can pick your cards, I need to test it before the puppet receives his gift anyways." The man grabbed a deck from with in his suit and placed it down on the table. It had given off a dark aura that slowly started to cover the table. "After all, I don't really think you would be a match for me either way, it's been about a century since I've played but I'm sure I still hold more skill then you."

"My turn, draw." And Than drew his card again. He was still grinning. "I see. I get hit by another card like that and I lose. I activate the continuous spell card, Projectile to Blade. This makes all effect damage I take instead treated as battle damage." He then looked at Akira. "Your soul is nothing important to me, nor is anyone's soul. I dueled you merely because I was bored, and I sensed you were somewhat powerful, but not nearly as powerful as the others. The others not referring to my allies or your allies or friends. But that is of no importance. Turn end."

Damen burst through the doors to the Chancellors office. He was out of breath, clearly having been running for a while. "Ch-chancellor. I think I'm interrupting something, but you should know. Something's going on in the grounds. I don't know exactly what it was, but, it's something big. Something...I don't really know, but still, I think it requires your attention. Something's wrong, I know it, but..." He paused, looking around, recognizing Kenshin, whom he now referred to as "the crazy kid."

"OK. I am on my way." Chancellor Yami stated as he made his way down to the school grounds. He took a shorter way and ended up there much quicker than Damen was.

 

-Meanwhile-

 

"Sorry. But duel us. You duel by our rules. Don't worry, every card that exists is there. Even the unreleased ones." the man explained before making his selection. The Deck Slot on his disk glowed and a deck appeared there "Now we duel." the man stated as he picked the deck off the table and threw it at the man. Creating a huge mess. "Now then. Let us duel." he stated as he drew five cards.

[Big Bad Pennar]

Avirre Whistled, causing her Dragons, and especially Takitsukai, to Go back towards Avirre, But Takitsukai and Tsunavira knew that Yoroi won't make it to his dorm on time. So Takitsukai flew under Yoroi and Flew up while Materializing, basically allowing Yoroi to ride on Takitsukai's back. Knowing that she'd be safe from the ground for a while. With that, Avirre popped a question at Yoroi "So, Hows Life been for you?..."

"Hmmm...I see. There must be a reason behind a card like that...KURIBOH!!" Akira found this duelist's secret. "You know, you're awfully kind for someone coming from D.Duel Academy. Anyways, back to the duel!" Akira picked up another card from his Deck. "I summon Nova Spirit Kruklus in Attack Position (ATK:1400). Now, to waste with your Kuribohs! I activate my Kruklus' effect. By halving its ATK, I can Special Summon 1 more Kruklus to my field. Then, I'll use the new Kruklus to Special Summon another one! (Kruklus x2: 700 Kruklus x1: 1400). Now, I'll attack you directly with all 3!" Akira knew that the worst-case scenario would involve Than having all 3 Kuribohs in his hand, and these 3 attacks would get rid of them all.

And three furry balls appeared, blocking each attack as they all exploded. "Do you know what? Did you know what you just did? You just accelerated my strategy! I activate the effect of Black Kuriboh in my hand. Now I Special Summon Black Kuri-hahah.....BOH! GO, BLACK KURIBOH! " He said all of this in a scary voice but the very word of 'Kuriboh' kept making him laugh. And then a giant Kuriboh appeared on the field, and its fur was black. It was as big as a house. "Hahahah.....Kuriboh. Now then, it's time to meet your doom, this black furry giant ball has more than a few tricks than meets the eye."

"That was very rude, throwing my deck to the side, what happened to respecting your bussiness partners?" The man quickly picked his deck to mirror the one that was thrown to the side, shuffled it, then drew his starting hand. "Now have your monkeys fix the deck and then you can start."

"Not the greatest Avirre, not the greatest, I've gone through alot." A look of sadness appeared on Yoroi's face, most of his childhood was filled with grief. "You see.. I was homeless most of my life, I had gotten my deck for free from the guy that owned this shop. The shop was for games and such and I simply lived in the alley next to it." He sighed and took a big breath, he needed to hold back the tears. "I lived in that alley until I was beaten with in a inch of my life, after that I was given the room above the shop by the owner, which was lucky for me. What was unlucky however happened recently, my deck seemed to be swapped before our duel."

 

 

Looking towards Avirre, faking a weak smile to make her believe he was ok. "How about you?"

Kazu follows Kenshin, his duel disk Appeared on his arm as he used his light Summoner to Smmon Beast of the Light flying on it down the stairway and dropping off removing the cards as he was standing on the other side of Kenshin as Chancellor Yami blocked him off. "Chancellor, did any of the other teachers bring a Six Samurai deck up from the crate, he left his cards inside it and I believe the only way I can convince I'm real is to duel him.. don't worry.. I will not use the power.." he says quietly only able to be Heard by kenshin and Chancellor Yami. "well.. I guess it's time I actually dueled using these card insted of just using them to transport me" he thinks to himself.
