Duel Academy: Destiny's End - Arc 2 - The Approaching Darkness [Started/Accepting via OOC]

Avirre called back Takitsukai and sent on his way. Then she Grabbed Rick on the Arms and Dragged him Inside the Cabin and into a small walk-in Closet. She Turned on a very dull light, so that They both can see. Avirre looked at Rick with a sad look and asked "I'd rather not speak anything of what i want to show you to anyone, Can you promise me that you would not tell anyone....?"

"Whoa!" Rick exclaimed as he was pulled into a small closet. The dull light was turned on and Rick was faced with Avirre. "(Aw man.... I hate small, tight, and badly lit places.... Alright Rick calm down.... There's probably a reasonable explaination for all of this....)" Rick tried to calm himself but still looked nervous and scared. After hearing what Avirre said, Rick just silently nodded. "(Why does she look so sad? And what is she about to tell me?)" Rick thought deeply to himself.

Before the shadow could continue he felt a disturbance in the area, another one of thoses "things" had entered his realm. "Sorry kid but looks like we won't have time to finish this chat right now, I'll soon summon you here again but this time it will be without the pests tagging along."

 

Yoroi quickly smashed his hand against the table causing the glass of water to go flying. "What do you mean we can't finish! You were just about to tell me why I'm here along with othe..." Without being able to say another word Yoroi found himself back on the boat, the world with the shadow was gone and the others had reappeared in their spots.

 

"Zero... for jabbing me I would like some sort of action to make up for your own. A duel would be good since I haven't gotten to do my exam yet and I could use the practice." Doubt still roamed in Yoroi's head, is what just happened true or was it just one big illusion... Either way the teen just wanted to get his mind off what had just happened.

Avirre then took off her hoodie, Revealing her pitch Black Skin. She then Pulled out her Spare Deck, and Pulled out a Card "Hinotama" She said as a Small fireball appeared in her hands. She juggled it around, and tossed it in the Air. As She did, She pulled out a trap card "Energy Absorbing Monolith!" She said as a Black Stone Tablet appeared in front of Rick, Which the Fireball landed on, Healing Rick of any small injuries that he had in the last few hours.

[Dementuo]

"Huh? What? We're back on the boat...! Yoroi! Damn, that was nerve wrecking. Huh? A duel? Heh, sure, I'm game. You can take the first move if you want." Zero was interested in the connection that Yoroi had with the Lunar World. Zero decided that there was no better way to learn about that then by Dueling, though he would have to watch for that one teacher, as she might cause trouble... But Zeto no longer cared about that. He only cared about what had happened in the Lunar World.

Rick's eyes widened as he saw her skin. "Wh-wh-wh...." Rick couldn't saw anything at all. Rick then watched as she juggled a fireball. "(I'm seeing things aren't I? What's going on here? Am I going crazy?)" So many things were running through Rick's mind. In his life up to now, Rick has never witness anything like this. As the black stone tablet appeared and the fireball landed on it, Rick's tiny cuts were healed. "Who are you? And how can you do all of this?" Rick asked confusely.

Quickly grabbing his duel disk from his near by bag, Yoroi popped it on to his arm and added the deck in his pocket to the deck slot. "I hope you don't mind that I start? I mean you do owe me after all."

"Draw!" Placing the sixth card in his hand Yoroi quickly looked over his options, he loved his goblins for the strategy involed with such simple and weak monsters. "I'll start by setting one monster and a face down card." Three cards quickly took their place in front of Yoroi, one being horizontal while the other being vertical. "That will end my turn, not much else I can do... yet"

"I had forgotten who i was, but Call me Avirre." Avirre Said with Serious Intent "Unfortunately there is a certain card that i own that my own life is bound by. but it however, Corrupted my entire body and Soul." She sensed people nearby and Whispered to Rick "as to why i wear my hoodie is that my body cannot take sunlight, i get hurt if even a small amount touches my body".

"Alright then. My turn, Draw" Zero said, as he placed his sixth card into his hand. "I activate Future Fusion! I send my three White Stones, Decoy Dragon, and Gem Dragoon to the Grave! By Gen Dragoon's effect, I can special summon him if I have no monsters on my field, but you do. Then, I add 3 Blue-Eyes to my hand by the effect of my White Stones! Then, I activate Polymerization and Dragon's Mirror, allowing me to summon my Blue-Eyes Ultimate and my F.G.D. Then I remove from play my Gem Dragoon to SP my Red-Eyes DM Dragon! I sacrifice my BEU for my Strong Wind Dragon, now with 4450 ATK! Then, my Red-Eyes revives my BEU! Now I activate Solidarity, raising my four monsters' ATK by 800! Attack, Strong Wind Dragon!

"You gotta be kidding me... I didn't want to use it right away but activating face down, Threatening Roar!" A echo of sound waves bellowed out, stopping the giant wind dragon in it's tracks. "You got a pretty good string of luck there Zero, thankfully my Roar stops you from attacking this turn." Yoroi sighed, this wasn't good and since his deck wasn't made to handle really high attack monsters head on he would have to rely on his own luck to get out of this.

However, despite Zero acting normal during the duel, Akira knew that Zero was surprised when he drew his first card. Akira had slipped a card in Zero's deck before the duel. However, he knew that Zero would never use it until the right time. Still, Akira felt amused watching the duel, though he knew there would be a clear winner. "Zero, use that card carefully...It's for a particular purpose". Akira also needed to consult Akarui for that matter...

*sigh* "Lucky start for me, I guess. Oh well. Turn end!" Zero wondered about the card in his hand. Golden Nova Knight. No doubt Akira slipped this in before Zero started. Zero wondered how he could use this card, when he didn't have any monsters that it would be of use with. Zero also wondered what kind of Deck Yoroi used. What was his face-down monster? Some kind of effect, a flip effect, or a support, maybe? What secrets did that kid hold?

[Blackstone Dresden]

Kenshin's smile grew as he drew his card, "I Summon Samurai of the Evil Spirit Mountain and Activate his Effect, Special Summoning the Level 2 Tuner Monster Torapart." A Warrior in period-appropriate Samurai armor appeared on the field and slashed the square behind him, causing a two-bodied Monster to appear, "Now, I'll Activate my face-down, Roll of Fate. I roll a single die and draw cards equal to the result, while also sending that many cards to the Graveyard." A large die with Kuribohs for dots dropped onto the boat, showing three Kuribohs. Kenshin then drew and discarded his cards. "Now, I activate the Spell Card Double Summon to bring out my Needle Gunner." A purple Machine appeared next to the two Warriors, "Now, I'm Tuning my Level 2 Torapart, Level 1 Needle Gunner, and Level 4 Samurai of the Evil Spirit Mountain! When two blades meet, the blade of loyalty will appear here! Answer to me! Synchro Summon! Appear now, Determined Daredevil!" The three Monsters were merged into a single Warrior, "Determined Daredevil, attack her face-down Monster!" ((Response goes here)) "Now, I'll set my last card and end my turn."

Drawing a card to his hand, Yoroi started to think out his next move. Zero would have another powerful dragon soon and his current line of defense could only protect himself from so much. "I'll start by discarding my Goblin Farmer by using his special ability, since hes going to my Graveyard I get to add two more copies of Goblin Farmer to my hand." As Yoroi popped the card into his Graveyard two more had popped out of his deck, allowing him to add them to his hand.

 

"Next I'll be activating the spell card, Allure of Darkness, so now I can draw two cards then I have to remove a Dark monster from my hand from play." Hoping that he would draw what he needed, the teen quickly picked up his cards and stared at them with a small bit of hope in his eyes. "Sadly I'll have to remove my Sucidial Goblin but it's a small price to pay."

Madame Clive smiled. Lucky boy, I didn't have Compulsory or Tuner's Scheme

 

"I know the effect of Needle Gunner gives your Synchro Monster the ability to inflict piercing damage. So I activate the effect of Scrubbed Raid! I send my monster, Djinn Disserere of Rituals to end your Battle Phase!"

 

The continuous Trap on her field glowed and the Samurai backed off. "And during your End Phase, I activate Limit Reverse!" One of the instructor's remaining facedown cards flipped up, displaying a Swordsman of Landstar emerging from a Duel Disk Graveyard.

 

"This Trap lets me revive one monster from my Graveyard with 1000 ATK or less," Madame Clive explained. "I select Relinquished!" Smoke billowed out from her Graveyard and onto the field, and the familiar monster appeared. (Lvl 1, ATK: 0)

 

"Now, it's my turn!" she announced, drawing. "Relinquished's effect activates, absorbing your Synchro monster!" The eerie monster opened its wings and inhaled, preparing to absorb the monster.

"So he added four cards to his hand at the cost of two, huh? Well, even if he has something, then he still won't be able to get past my surefire defense. This Duel will end quickly, I know it." Zero thought to himself. "Hey, I know that this duel was toake up for punching you before, but 'm still going to win, y'know!" Zero didn't want to have Yoroi as an enemy, but he wanted to give him fair warning.

"Don't get cocky, just because you have a early lead doesn't mean you'll hold it for long. Spell card activate, Double Summon and I'm sure you know what this does. I'll summon my Goblin Bomber and Goblin Shaman. Oh and to join them I'll flip over my face down Goblin Paratrooper!"

 

Two goblins quickly took Yoroi's side of the field, one held a bag filled with bombs and was dressed in rags while the other was dressed in a sorceror like outfit and held a traditional wooden staff. The third goblin to join them was on a small helecopter pack and wore simular rags to the Bomber.

 

Goblin Bomber: Attack - 1200

Shaman Goblin: Attack - 1500

Goblin Paratrooper: Attack - 1000

 

Yoroi smiled, he knew that Zero wasn't going to like this and revenge is something best served cold. "Using my Bomber's effect I can destroy your Strong Wind Dragon, however his attack drops down to zero and you get my Paratrooper. Now attack my Shaman, destroy his Paratrooper."

 

The Paratrooper quickly disappeared only to reappear next to the Shaman. Afterwards another card entered Yoroi's hand. "You see, when my Shaman attacks a monster and destroys it I can special summon a goblin from my grave to my field and when Paratrooper is destroyed I get to add another Paratrooper to my hand. Oh and trust me I'm not done, I'll activate my Reckless Charge, I can destroy your Red Eyes by sending my Paratrooper to the grave." With another quick change of cards the Paratrooper once again left the field, this time taking Zero's dragon with him. "I'll set a card to call my turn to a end."

With Paratroopers effect it will activate in my Grave since it will sorta be mine again (It's like Sangan's ruling.)

This card is uneffected by your Opponent's Trap Cards. When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a Result of Battle you may add one "Goblin Paratrooper" to your Hand from your Deck.

If you activate this effect your Opponent gains control of one "Goblin" Monster on your side of the field (Of your choice.) After using this effect this Monster's Attack becomes 0. This card cannont be Special Summoned.

"Nrgh... Alright. My turn, Draw! Now I activate heavy Storm! So now all of our Pells and Traps are destroyed!" Zero knew that he wouldn't require Golden Nova Knight this time around. And even if Yoroi did negate it with his face-down, Zero still had something in his hand to protect him. "I summon Mirage Dragon! Now you can't activate any Trap Cards! Attack!" Zero knew that there was no way Yoroi could survive this onslought.

[Zextra]

"And that's the end" Akira said softly from the sidelines. "Zero's not your ordinary duelist. To go head on against him with a deck based around defensive cards is a really bad idea... To stand a chance against him, you have to go all out from the very beginning". Akira could see the doubt in Yoroi's eyes. He knew that he was powerless against Zero's dragons without any form of defense. "If Yoroi somehow survives this, Zero will really start to play seriously" Akira thought, knowing that Zero was limiting his strength by a great deal.

"Zero, things aren't as easy as you think, thankfully I have another Threatening Roar to protect me for a turn." The teen quickly activated the card after Zero drawed his, making sure that he was safe no matter what his opponent had planed. However a look of doubt entered Yoroi's eyes, he only used two cards to stop battles and he already had to use both of them, if he didn't hurry things up he would lose after just one attack. //I can't give up.. this guy has caused me too many problems for one day and I won't let him just walk all over me!//

 

OOC: FYI, One card left in your hand after playing Mirage and Heavy, no FGD from Future Fusion since its gone anndd I activated Roar before you could play Mirage or Heavy since I'm not letting you beat me via godish methods.

[Dementuo]

"Hmph. This kids' annoying. Well, I've still got my 3 beatsticks, and now I just have to wait a turn." Zero thought to himself. Zero knew that even though threatening roar saved him twice, it would have been a miracle for him to draw a third. "I set one card, and end my turn!" Zero said. "Hmm... What will I do... So many options..." Zero was determined to win this duel.

 

OOC: Five God was summoned with Dragon's Mirror. Not Future Fusion. It only works if it's summoned through FF effect.

[Blackstone Dresden]

"I Activate my Trap Card Fiendish Chain! Now, as long as your Relinquished is on the field, its effect is negated and it cannot attack, though the latter does seem like a bit of a nonissue at this point." Kenshin said as a half dozen chains shot out of the ground and wrapped around Relinquished, preventing it from absorbing Daredevil into its wings, "You had me on the ropes there for a bit, and, I admit, you're still winning the battle, but the samurai will win the war."

[The White Wolf]

A teacher was walking around the boat until he saw Zero dueling someone else. The teacher saw him cheat and dragged him towards the entrance exams to talk to the chancellor. After a discussion the chancellor erased something on his clipboard and wrote something else. The teacher then took Zero to a small room. He pushed Zero in and locked the door. The teacher then returned to the entrance exams.

[Ooraloo]

Matt had been looking out onto the sea. He turned around, but Zero was gone. "Probably in a duel." Matt thought. "How long have I been staring in the sea?" Jester Lord juggled 9 blue balls. "Nine blue balls? That's 9 hours. I bet I fell asleep." Matt started to look around for another duel and to try to find Zero. There was a small door. Matt tried to open it. It wouldn't open. It was locked. Matt couldn't figure out why. He knocked on the door. It was really thick. Probably sound-proof. He decided to not investigate. Matt walked around, looking for a duel.

"Not bad," Madame Clive admitted. She glanced at the card in her hand and an odd grin flicked across her face. "I activate Book of Moon! This card flips one monster into facedown defense position, and I choose Relinquished!"

 

The chained creature shimmered, the chains shattering from around its body, before it disappeared, a horizontal card image taking its place. "By placing my monster facedown, it removes the connection between itself, my Limit Reverse, and your Fiendish Chain!"

 

"Also, it is still my Main Phase, and Relinquished was Special Summoned last turn. As Book of Moon does not count towards my one-a-turn limit on changing a monster's battle position, I can switch Relinquished to Attack Position!"

 

The card image vanished and Relinquished rose from the ground, no longer chained and its eye glowing eerily, as if taunting the samurai in front of it. (Lvl 1, 0/0)

 

"Flipping a monster facedown also resets the once-a-turn limit on its effect, so I activate Relinquished's effect! It absorbs your Determined Daredevil and gains its stats!" As Madame Clive spoke, the wings on Relinquished again opened and it began to inhale, intent on drawing the Samurai into its body.

Relinquished's eye gleamed. (ATK: 2400) Madame Clive smiled at Kenshin. "You've done well, and served as a very satisfying opponent. Relinquished, direct attack!"
