Grunt Issun
Well, Empolepon resists hits well, as well as has a good non water moveset, so Empoleon
Kitty
Vaporeon can learn non water type moves as well. Iron tail is good (Because on my LG Game my Level 100 Jolteon knows it and can take out a Pokemon easily), but it has to hit first. Vaporeon can learn Ice moves and that would get Empoleon. Also it can learn Shadow Ball I think.
Grunt Issun
Hmm, I see your point, however, steel types resist ice, making it a normal damage attack, however Vaporeon disablesn the ability of empoleon.
Xazeon
I'm going to say that Empoleon has the following moveset and item: Item: Life Orb Moveset: SurfIce BeamGrass KnotAgility And Vaporeon has the following moveset and item: Item: Choice Specs Moveset:SurfIce BeamHidden Power ElectricSignal Beam Empoleon would take 70.5% - 83.2% of damage from the Hidden Power. Now it's Empoleon's turn. Vaporeon would take 43.9% - 51.9% of damage from Grass Knot. Vaporeon uses Hidden Power Electric again and Empoleon faints. My vote for Vaporeon; but that's just one moveset.
Grunt Issun
But the hidden power could also be rock, do the calculation now
Kitty
I know I'm gonna hate asking this but I'm curious. What's all this Hidden Power Electric and stuff? (If it's game related I only have up to LG and FR because of not having a Nintendo DS.)

Βyakuya
Umm...I'll draw the conclusions: -Vaporeon's Ability is helpful, but a smart trainer would not use water moves for Empoleon, but it would be sorta hard -Empoleon is also a steel type, but is balanced by the Water side of Empoleon. -For opinions, the Eeveelutions are very cool -Empoleon has a hard defensive stat as well as an attack stat. However, Vaporeon is know to use sp. atks. There is no difference between them I believe vaporeon is better
Grunt Issun
seriously, the type of the hidden power could be ALMOST anything

Grunt Issun
Oh I see, But lets say it doesnt have hidden power, instead it has hydro pump, now Empoleon probably wins, right?
Great Unclean One: VK
It's easier to funk Vaporeon then to funk empoleon. I know, I've tried.

Great Unclean One: VK
Beastiality! Nooo..... All I did, get a Vaporeon plush doll, and funked it. For Empoleon, the same thing. Only difference, Vaporeon feels more right.

Xazeon
Oh I see' date=' But lets say it doesnt have hidden power, instead it has hydro pump, now Empoleon probably wins, right?[/quote'] Hydro Pump would do anywhere between 45.1% - 53.3% of damage. Since we're assuming Empoleon's not going to switch out, it would use Grass Knot and that would do anywhere between 43.9% - 51.9% of damage. So it all depends on who's faster. Grunt Issun
Hmm, I see. that reminds me, my feraligator once outsped a monferno, or some other fire type, it makes no sense!
Xazeon
Hmm' date=' I see. that reminds me, my feraligator once outsped a monferno, or some other fire type, it makes no sense![/quote'] Ferraligatr's base Speed stat is 78 while Monferno's base Speed stat is 81. Monferno was probably at a lower level than Feraligatr.
Grunt Issun
Only a few, but I guess that makes all the differance, I think it was like a 5 or 6 level differance
Eury
The only thing Vaporeon can do to Empoleon is wall it, and it has trouble doing that. Specs Grass Knot from Empoleon does 45.1% - 53.1% to Standard Wish Support Vaporeon. Vaporeon's Surf is going to do 14.5% - 17.5%, HP [Electric] does 29.6% - 34.9% and Ice Beam only does 4.8% - 5.6%. After Leftovers and a possible Wish, Grass Knot is anywhere between a 2-5HKO. Empoleon is the obvious winner.
