*was reading this a bit*

"You attacked my Trap Gadget!"

Bogus move.

Trap Gadget' date=' assuming its a flip effect, would get plowed over first by the 6000 ATK piercing damage, [i']THEN[/i] trap's effect would go off.

Situation B: Trap Gadgetisnt a FLIP effect, but instead, its text says "When this card is attacked, execute [X]". Normaly you would think that works, but it doesnt. As said monster gets flipped face-up for damage calculation, thus, misses his chance to use his effect.

Situation C: The show implies the same logic as the anime, and main charactors always beat Crowler.

Regardless, I'll probobly continue reading this.

Ummm that is technically impossible because Cards can only be activated if they are face up (Unless they're trap' date=' or flip monster cards)

Though in some cases, if an effect is worded in a weird manner, it would work.

Big Shield Gardna, for example, has its effect active while its facedown.

Same with Blast Sphere and Kiseitai. They both equip themselves to the attacking monster while FACE DOWN. So basically Trap Gadget has to work like Blast Sphere and Kiseitai before its effect can actually work... which I see it does.

But yeah, I was expecting something completely different for Chapter 4. I was thinking they'd still be on the ship for a kick-off...

When this face down defense position monster is attacked' date=' the attacking monster is instantly destroyed. Your opponent then takes damage equal to the attack of the destroyed monster.

So it has a priotiy gimmic.

And its even horribly over-powered.

Sure.

But Crowler only took 2000 damage from that, when his monster clearly had 6K ATK.

EDIT:

They both equip themselves to the attacking monster while FACE DOWN.

Re-read Blast Sphere and Keisetei

I did. They both say "When your opponent's monster attacks this card in face-down Defense Position, the attacking monster is equipped with this card..." (EDIT: or something like that), and their separate effects go from there.
