Maverick continued to search until an arrow was shot at him. "What the hell!?" whispered Maverick as he looked at the ground and saw troops of an army marching and firing arrows at him. "You'll all burn in the bowels of hell!" he shouted as he raised an arm, but then he noticed something. "My stingers, why aren't they appearing?" he thought to himself then he noticed another bragade of arrows rushing towards him. He used his wings as a shield, but one arrow pierced through his wing. "DAMN!" he shouted in pain as he fell to the ground with an injured bloody wing. He luckily caught himself when he landed, but started to limp as fast as he could from the army and successfully lost them, but he also left a blood trail from where he landed and lead right to where he is. "Why the hell couldn't I use my stingers or my Shadow Flames?" he thought to himself.

 

Judas had entered into the Malevolent Dimension in pain smoking where the sun's light had touched him. "I'm safe now, from that place! I hate to say this, but I need that spineless fool Maverick back again!" he said to himself.

Will growled at the men. His teeth sharp and body large, too powerful for a mere army of simple weapons. He charged forward and swiped at them with his 6-inch claws, biting into the shoulders of the few who charged pass him. He swiveled around on a back paw and went for another charge of bestial fury. His Wolf form proving to be more of a match for these mere humans. He roared into the air as he made another charge, hoping his energy would last. He didn't want to die or faint and leave any to her, he wanted to protect her.

Rai watched as the soldiers fell to the ground with thuds. He glanced up as some more soldier's screams of pain came from up ahead. Well, it seems that whoever these soldier's are after can at least cause some damage... He started to advance forward towards the area of the soldiers' prime concern, killing anyone who crossed his path. After three minutes of making his way through, he came upon his supposed allies. He glanced at the girl in the clearing, and then at the savage wolf tearing through a rank of soldiers. Wait....that wolf looks familiar...could that possibly be Will? His thoughts were interrupted as an arrow embedded itself into his arm. He snapped his head towards the spot from where it came, and saw an archer notching another arrow. Rai ripped the arrow out of his arm and proceeded to throw it back at the archer at a surprising speed. He smirked slightly as the arrow struck the archer in the skull. He glanced towards where the wolf had just been, and wasn't surprised to not see it there anymore. Erasing any thoughts that were floating around in his head, he plunged into the crowd of soldiers and began thinning their ranks.

Maverick still injured from the arrow to wing was hiding in the shadows with the bloody shoulder where his wing had retracted into his body, he still was curious about his absent powers. "Damn, I wanna help even if means I need to have that bastard Judas in my body again!" he said to himself angrily. "Well that can be arranged!" said a familiar creepy sadistic voice. Maverick turned around to see a black portal behind him and saw Judas's head sticking out smiling at him. "Come on! I heard every word! There's no point in not letting it happen!" he said to him. Maverick clenched his hands into a fist, "What choice do I have?" he thought to himself as he approached the portal and entered it. When he reached the other side he saw Heedra there. "Heedra, what are you doing here?" he asked that large bone Dragon. "I can't harm human life so I retreated back here!" he replied with his booming voice. "I know what's been going on between you and Judas! When you 2 seperated your powers started to return to the original owners body!" he said. "So for us to be apart of the fight we need to...." Judas started, but was finished by Heedra. "Fuse back together!" Judas starred at Maverick in disgust, but in his mind he was saying,"Please, please fuse with me again!" "I will!" Maverick said, but then noticed Judas's Stinger in his gut, but there was no blood only a black light and then in a heartbeat Judas was gone and Maverick's skin and emotions were dull yet again. "Time to return to the battlefield again!" he said with his monotogue tone.

Will leaped into the air and tore down a few more soliders with his paws. He growled, his advanced senses and strength in this form was a serious match-winner here. He barrelled through a few more then looked back for rina where he left her, a few soliders getting closer to her. Will dove under a blade swinging at him and did a 180, swinging as fast as his tail. He lurched forward then sprinted for the girl. putting a paw straight through a few armored infantry. He barked at her to tell her to find cover. With another 180, he leaped back into the crowd. "Is there antoher person here?" He asked as he picked up a familier scent.

Rai continued to thin the battalion's ranks. He was dodging blows from soldiers left and right, and counterattacking with jets of fire from his palms. Screams of men who had been badly scorched pierced the sky in response to each of his actions. Adrenaline was flowing through him, heightening his already amazingly fast reflexes. But that didn't stop him from avoiding injury. He had to block a soldier's sword's downward slash with his forearm embedding itself in bone, causing him to fall to his knees in pain. The remaining soldiers took this opening to their advantage, closing in ready to attack.

Will howled lowdly to distort the enemy ranks infront of him before he leaped into large brush and the hopped back out behind them and tearing them apart with his claws. He bite into one of their legs to keep that one mouthy solider down. He continued to pounce through enemies till he got to a small grouping of them encroaching upon someone. Will lunched forward and threw his claws in a flurry, raking down all the armored units before standing in front of whoever he just saved, without looking at them. "You okay?" he asked, his throat allowing some human words.

Maverick finally exited the portal, but then noticed he came out into a field full of soliders. "Hey, there's one of them! Kill that bastard" they started shouting preparing bows and arrow. "Damn!" Maverick said as he flew up and dodged the arrows and spiked downwards with a stinger and killed a few soliders. He continued to use his speed and stinger to assasinate them one by one. "Wait, he said "1 of them"! Who else is here?" he asked himself continuing to kill the soliders. "How many of them are there?" he asked himself not noticing the soliders who started firing at him from behind, but he was able to counter with a back slash.

Reina didn't take cover like told. One came at her and she swung her fist at him hitting the guy square between the eyes. Another came at her before the guy completly fell to the ground unconscious. Reina kicked the guy but he grabbed her leg making her lose her balance a bit.the guy swung at her with his sword and she ducked. Reina slipped and fell back, the guy still had her leg. She twisted her leg around his and pulled him down. The man let go and Reina jumped up attacking him with her nails. Once she finished with him another approached. Arrows rained down at them as if the people didn't care who died as long as she and Will were killed. Reina glanced over at Will for a second, letting her guard down, and an arrow hit her in the shoulder. She bit back a scream and continued to fight.

Will slickly ran between the arrows, his fur guided them away from his skin and his reflexes helped him evade any spot on arrows. He lunged at a solider without thinking, the solider swung his sword at Will, stricking him in his shoulder and he fell back in pain. He swung his body back up and rapidly thrusted his front paw at the soliders who persisted on their path torwards him. He began to feel cold, the light began to blur. Blood poured everywhere around him as his breath became hard to hold.

Reina brought down all her enemies and turned to Will. She saw he was wounded.without thinking Reina started to sing the healing spell. Will's body began to glow as she healed his wound. Reina ignored her wound as she fully healed her friend. She went quiet when he was healed. An arrow grazed her arm. Reina turned and the rest of the archers burst into flames. One by one they fell lifeless onto the ground. No more men came out. Reina collapsed onto the ground exuasted. She laid there staring up at the sky. Blood continued to come out of the wound around the arrow. She wasn't going to pull the arrow out. Reina knew it would cause more pain. She glanced over at Will to see if he was okay.

Rai pushed himself up with his good arm, and grasped his wound with his hand. "Damn. He got me good. Oh well, nothing I can't fix. Hëíl!" His eye twitched at the sleight discomfort that came from the feeling of his bone and flesh growing back together. "Now, to finish off the rest of these soldiers." He dashed into a swarm of archers, killing each of them with a small jet of flame. He picked up one of the soldiers bows and quiver of arrows, and then proceeded to the top of the rocky outcropping that he previously dived off of. Pulling a handful of arrows out of the stolen quiver on his back, he notched them in the bow and ran his finger over the head of each one of them, mouthing "Franza" everytime he reached another arrowhead. After his finger left the head, it caught flame, just he had planned. "Now to cause some chaos." He said smirking as he drew the bow back and released, sending a barrage of flaming arrows down into the sea of soldiers.

Reina sat down to rest a bit before continuing. She thought to herself, If my powers were more developed I could heal myself and be on my way. I wish I was stronger. Finally Reina grabbed the arrow and yanked it right out of her. She tried hard not to scream but she couldnt hold it in. It was just too painful. "AHHHHH!" She covered up her wound tightly to stop the bleeding. Reina stared up at the sky. Rein, please forgive me if I don't make it back home. Her eyes began to close.

 

Meanwhile---

 

Rein had started looking around Heartfall for Reina to make sure she wasnt there. He knew his parents would send some people out to bring him back home safely. He sighed and looked at the sky. Reina, where are you?
