"I don't really know. I was traveling with others before but I was captured. I don't know where we are now. I'm sorry. I'm so useless." she stopped rubbing againist him and lowered her head. What was going to happen if they chose the wrong way? If they stayed too long she could be captured again. Her ears flattened back as she kept her head down.

 

Meanwhile

 

"I want her now! Find the princess! Destroy everyone in your way!" her master roared. He was furious. His pet had escaped again. He didn't care what it tookto get Reina back. She needed to be stopped before she reached Heartfall.

 

Meanwhile in Heartfall

 

Rei, Reiki, and Rein were in the garden. Rei and Reiki stood behind Rein. They had heard what he said in the council meeting. "so you know where the heart of Heartfall is?" Reiki asked. "why do you think it's Reina?" Rei added. Rein didn't look at them. "look at all that has happened since she left. The plants died. The water is drying up. The magic is fading. We have been in wars. Why do you not think it's her?" his siblings didn't respond. They had a feeling he was right, like always.

Will felt a bit stronger, something about having a goal, a real goal made him feel better about the journey. "So... let me get this right... You are on a journey too get some where that we don't know where it is... We don't know where we are now... and we have bad guys chasing you... This sounds like fun... but we should keep too the forest... The worst thing that could happen here is if something gets a bit hungry and thinks your a snack... I could scare it away... Do you remember what the place we are looking for might look like?" Will was feeling slightly dazed, but he hoped his light-hearted voice could at least make her feel better. To be honest, at first he thought this was just another animal too help, but Riena had given Will something in return, a goal.

Reina nodded. Water droplets floated infront of them and light bounced off them showing Will what Heartfall looked like.Reina showed him this for about a minute and the water and picture faded. "Heartfall is my homeland. Stuff happened and I was sent away. I just want to get home to my family." Reina

left out alot of details. She didn't want him to know she had been sold and the collar on her neck was not there for looks. She also didn't say that she was a princess. She didn't want to be. Reina just wanted to help others. She sighed wondering where they should go.

Will watched heartfall for a the full time that it was shown through the water droplets. "We should get deeper in the forest, I do not know about your friends, they should be fine as long as those people are just after you... If they all are following you then they should get in deeper forest as well... though that is my plan... I have never seen that place before... I hope that I can be of service too you Riena... You have my assistance." Will said knightly, taking a bow in his transformed state like his father would.

Reina stared at him. He reminded her of home. She hid her feelings and nodded. Thinking it would be better to transform back into her normal form she started to change. She grew taller and thin. Her hair shortened to where human ears would be. Her red hair blended in with her red cat ears. She was back in her white sweater dress that came to her thighs. Her pink leggings covered up the rest of her legs. The red collar seemed to fit a bit better around her neck, "ready to get started?" her short red cat tail stuck out from under her dress. It twitched.

Will gave Riena a smirk and watched her transform. He was off-set by her new form. "u-...ugh...yeah..." Will said, like an idiot. He transformed back into his human form. His dark fur turned into brown hair and his clothes came back. "So...umm... just too get this out in the open, I'm kinda like a shape-shifter, except I only have two forms too switch between... what are you?" Will tried his best too sound more normal than a fool, but most of his concentration was kept too keeping his eyes on Riena's eyes.

"I have three forms. Human, this form, and full demon form. This form is my favorite. " she had almost told she was the princess. Reina didnt want to be treated differently than other people. Besides if people knew her master would find her quicker. Reina started to walk in one direction. She hoped it was the right way. "if you are hungry there is food in my bag." she told him.

Will listened and tried his best to remember it. He felt his stomach grumble again when she mentioned the food. He looked up too find Riena walking the wrong way. Will ran up too her and was about too grab her hand but stopped himself before he did. "umm... Riena?" Will sighed. "Your going the wrong way..." Will was going too laugh but kept it back. His brown hair got in his eyes and he brushed it out of the way. Will began too wonder why he was about too hold her hand. He just met her a few moments ago, he was too tired too reason with himself, so he stopped thinking about it for now.

"oh. Sorry." Reina turned to look at him. She was trying to hide her embarassment. "what would you like to eat?" Reina quickly changed the subject. She couldn't believe she went the wrong way, again. She opened her small bag on her hip. Reina didn't know what to eat. She didn't want to eat for some reason. Part of her was saying not to go home. The other part was saying she needed to get home. Reina looked at Will waiting for an answer.

Will stood and thought about what he wanted. Then he looked at Riena's eyes and got carried away. His face started too warm up and he was about too blush before he snapped out of it and looked down at his shoes. "Well... what do you got?" A nervous smile was on his face, he tried his best not too look up at her, because he was sure he'd check her out or something, and then he'd look like a pervert. His face started turning red again.

"anything. It's a magic bag. So whatever you want it will give you." Reina exlained. She hoed that didn't freak him out. Reina noticed him lower his head. She went over and put her hand gently on his face and lifted his head. "is something wrong? You would tell me if there was something wrong, right?" she stared at him. Her eyes showed that she was worried. Reina hoped he was okay and that he wouldn't lie to her but she still had a hard time trusting people. Her eyes never left him.

Will's face was burning brightly because he was attracted too Riena. He didn't want it too be this way, but it was just how it turned out. "Its... nothing that I can't deal with later..." Will mumbled, hoping that Riena wouldn't be able too piece together the clues that were written all over his face. "So...ugh... can I have some fish?" Will asked, trying too change the subject. His tail threatened too grow out and start wagging. His hair did grow darker and a little longer, but he stopped it there.

Rai woke up and looked down at Ven and Noelle, whole were still sleeping. It seem like now would be a good time to sneak away from them....I just can't stay around them. They atract to much attention to me, which is bad considering I have a bounty on my head.... He silently slipped out of their camp, and continued to head west until he was sure that he could stop and evaluate the situation he was in. "I guess I should head to the nearest town......"

Reina let go. "Okay." she thought he was getting a fever or something since his face was red. Reina stepped back and reached in her bag. She pulled out some fish for him. "here."she reached out to give it to him. A smile was on her face because she thought she was helping. Her tail twitched. Her eyes stayed on him. She didn't read his mind. Reina didn't want to be rude. She closed her bag and kept holding the fish out to him. Reina's ears twitched as she listened.

"Thank you." Will said politely, the way his father told him too talk too girls. 'You should always be polite and respectful, manners are important!' Will's father would tell him. Will leaned forward a bit and lifted the fish from beneath her hold on it. He brought it up and gave her a warm smile. He let himself transform a bit more so his teeth grew sharper, his hair grew longer and his tail grew out. He looked down at the fish and gave it a smirk before he bit into it. He let his mind think more about the fish than his awkward attraction to the girl he was trying too help get home.

Reina jumped up on a limb looking around. Her ears kept twitching. She was watching for danger. Reina was trying to convence herself that she should go home. It was hard going back to a place she may not be wanted. Reina sighed and her ears flattened. Her tail druped. She just stood on the limb looking around. Reina didn't know if her family wanted her back. She knew she wasn't considered a princess at home anymore.

Will gobbled down the rest of his fish quickly and walked up too Riena. He got with in arms reach and stopped. Something told him too get closer too her, maybe give her a hug. But Will knew if he was going too Help her, he had too remain focused. The best way too get Riena off his mind would be too turn into wolf form and run about 3 miles so his senses couldn't pick her up. Will sighed, he decided he would try his best too ignore the tiny voice in his head that was in his way from helping Riena. He looked over at her and took a deep breath. "What's wrong?"

Reina turned to look at him. "Nothing. I just was thinking." Reina looked away. She could sense he was upset about something but didn't know what it was. She heard a snap and looked down. The branch broke under Reina and she started to fall. "!?" she kept herself from screaming.

Will leaped forward and caught Riena before she fell on the hard ground. He held her for a moment and looked into her eyes. He couldn't look away and kept wondering why even though he was positive what the reason was. It was seconds later before Will let go of Riena too set her down. "I'm... so ... sorry." He mumbled out, looking at his shoes. His face seemed too get more red. His teeth grew out a bit more. "I'm a mess" Will thought.

Reina was shaking. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it was going to jump out of her chest and jump away. Reina looked at him. "thank you..."she managed to get out. She didn't understand why he apologized. Her tail was curled tightly around her leg. Reina was trying to stop shaking. Usually she land on her feet but if he hadn't caught her she may of broke her back or neck. Reina's eyes started to fill with tears and she couldn't stop it. She turned away to hide her tears. Will had saved her life. How was she going to repay him?

Will was confused. Deep down, he always was confused. But Riena was something new. "What do I do?... I liked holding her... I want too hold her, but I can't let that get in the way of helping her... what kind of man would I be if I couldn't help her? ..." Will thought. He sighed and gave her a hug. He held her for a moment before he was sure he was going crazy. But he felt normal, the thought and idea wasn't what usually crossed his mind, but he hadn't changed one bit. "Lets get you home..." Will mumbled.

Rai had realized that he was just outside of the city that contained the mansion of the man who had placed a bounty on his head, and from what he had gathered from Ven and Noelle, the man was also holding Reina prisoner. Sighing quietly to himself as he decided that since he was here, he might as well infiltrate the mansion and rescue Reina. It took him quite some time to reach the mansion, and even more to decide the best way in. He had found it to be an open window on the top floor.

Reina hugged him back calming down some. She nodded. It was time to go home. Reina stayed near Will as they walked. She glanced around still enjoying seeing the world instead of being locked inside. Her tail twitched. Reina sighed thinking of her past and how different things are. She looked over at Will every now and then and then looked away.

Will enjoyed walking with Riena. He was always nervous when he talked, but just normal actions were okay. He walked alone for so long that it was nearly impossible too pretend she wasn't there. This is the longest that he's been stuck between his two forms. Usually he'd stay that way for at most, a minute, before he shifted too a normal form. He was uncomfortable at first, but Riena didn't react too it or freak out, so he was okay. He yawned and looked over at her while she was looking away, his eyes traced over her without him wanting them too. The sad thing of it all was that he wasn't trying too feel this way. His body was saying one thing and his mind was saying the other, yet somehow, he was doing okay. Usually, if he was unsure of what he wanted and what he needed, he'd break out in a fit over not being positive. But this was not the case. He looked over at Riena's eyes for a while. "What is she thinking?" Will thought.

Rai had waited until he was sure that he could enter unnoticed by the numerous guards that surrounded the mansion. He had stuck to traversing the hallways by using the decorative protrusion near the ceilings, allowing him to pass numerous guards unnoticed. He had determined the location of Reina's room by eavesdropping on several guards conversations, and was soon on the ledge right above the door. He dropped down silently, and opended the door slowly, surprised that it was unlocked. He slowly walked inside, his senses on alert. There was no one there. He searched the room and found her nowhere. He sighed to himself, realizing that he had come too late. Just then he had felt a small, sharp point on the back of his neck, the tip of a spear. Rai had instinctively drawn his swords. "Drop your weapons, Rai." It was Reina's master, the same person who had put the bounty on his head. He dropped his swords to the ground and raised his hands slowly. "And I thought you were smart enough to stay away from the person who wants you dead." The man let out an evil laugh, showing his insanity. "You'll regret ever stealing from me Rai." The man had walked in front of Rai. What's the matter, can't talk?" Rai stared at him with evil intent in his eyes. "You are in no position to be questioning me. I didn't steal from you, I had only stolen back what had been stolen from my family. Now, I suggest you let me go, or you will suffer dire consequences." This infuriated the man. "Dire consequences?!?!? What could you possibly do from the position your in?" Rai smirked. "I can do this." He turned one of his palms towards the guard holding the spear, the other facing the man. "Franza." A jet of white flame flew out of each palm towards the guard and the man. The guard's face was instantly burned, causing him to drop the spear. The man had got away better. He had dove to the ground, and only part of his cheek was burned. Rai used this chance to escape.
