CristalFlames
Reina walked through the halls silently. She knew the moon was out. She could tell. I want to go home to Heartfall not stay here. Reina looked around trying to find a way out. All those years off being locked inside she had never found an exit. It all looked the same to her. But she was following the scent of the wind. She had a faint scent of it. Reina wanted out. She needed out. The walls seemed to close in on her but it was her mind. She made it down the hall to a door and collapsed on the floor crying.
Jake the Sage
Noelle's sleep was slightly interrupted by Ven's loud snoring. It wasn't that she hadn't heard it before while they had been traveling . . . it that the sound had been enough to rouse Noelle that her dreams changed from flights of fancy to darker memories of her past.~~~~"W-What am I doing here?" Noelle asked herself as she peered around in the darkened void of, what could be assumed her mind, and lifted her hand up. Waving it back and forth she could see an astral trail being left behind almost like it was in slow motion- a sudden sound caught her attention. It was the sound of a fire crackling, but this was louder than a normal fire. The sound grew louder as Noelle focused on it and the surrounding area burst to life with color and movement; it was only then that Noelle recognized where she was, her past. The scattered bon fires blazing through out the village made the area light up brightly in the darkness of the night. Almost every house was ablaze with the crimson heat of the flames as people ran around in a panic, screaming and attempting to save what and who they could. The cry of a little of a little girl from the right sent chills down Noelle's spine as she saw a familiar face, her face. Noelle was watching herself at the young age of eight running away from a battalion of paladins whom had given chase during their raid of the town. The young Noelle was running as fast as her little legs could carry her, but it was not enough to outrun the mighty hoof beats of the stallions. Tripping over a corpse, young Noelle screamed with fear and held her hands over her ears, and seemed to be screaming to herself, "This isn't real! This isn't real!! Leave me alone!!!" "Princess Noelle Soyala of Iseult you are here by sentanced to death," the captain of the paladin's proclaimed as he lowered his spear, aiming at Noelle's head, and charged. Squinting her eyes the young girl gave a shrill scream- and then the dream was over . . .~~~~Noelle stood up in her spot and looked around, she was in a cold sweat and her heart was racing, the surrounding areas of the camp site had been covered in ice. Looking down at teh ground she remembered the nightmare . . . no the memories that she had remembered, having resurfaced after having been locked away for so long. Running her hands through her hair Noelle looked over and could see Ven sitting up and staring at her, ice having came dangeriously close to striking him through. Meanwhile . . . "Poor little princess . . ." "So sad" "No where to run and no where to hide" came voices from the dark corners of the castle. Reina couldn't tell if she was hearing them inside her head or if they were actually there. That was what scared her the most, that she might be loosing her mind in this place. She was so focused on if the voices where real or not that she had never noticed the echoing footsteps behind her until she felt a hand covering her mouth, "What are you doing outside your room?!" Super Chaos Sonic
Ven looked at Noelle and saw that she looked a little scared. He looked back at the ice that almost struck him and might have ended his life. There's something bothering the Noelle... he thought to himself. But the way I am...I shouldn't ask her what's wrong...but I might as well ask anyway. He looked back at Noelle and asked,"Noelle...is everything alright?? Did I startle you or something?? If I did then I'm sorry about it..I forgot to mention that I have a tendency to snore when I sleep." Ven then scratched his head and smiled and nervously as he finished his sentence, hoping that Noelle wouldn't kill him.
CristalFlames
Reina jumped feeling the hand over her mouth. A chill ran up her spine. "I..I..." She tried to get out but it was muffled because of whoever had their hand over her mouth. She was trying not to shake. Reina knew it wasn't her master. Her ears flattened back and her tail curled around her leg. What was going to happen? Was she in trouble? She was got an idea and licked the hand over her mouth. Reina hoped that she wasn't going to get into too much trouble for doing that.
Jake the Sage
The person shook and seemed slightly disgusted when Reina licked their hand. In fact the shivers got so bad who ever had grabbed hold of her that they threw, or more accurately pushed, her to the wall. Looking over Reina could see that the person was a teenage man and was wearing clothing that matched her master. Whoever he was he hadn't struck back, at least yet, and instead seemed preoccupied with getting the saliva off his hand. In Other Places Noelle looked over to Ven, her eyes narrowing into slits, and half stared and half glared as he talked away. He thought that it was his snoring which had scared her, as if, and he began doing the wrong thing by making jokes about it. Her memories still fresh in her mind Noelle didn't feel like cracking jokes, if she ever did, and swiftly raised her hand in his direction. With that fliud motion some of the ice surrounding Ven reverted into water and struck his bottom jaw; the force being strong enough to knock him down. "I do not . . . scare," she lied, something unusual for her at any one moment, and turned away from him, "Just go back to . . . sleep . . ." CristalFlames
Reina stared at him confused. She watched him. Reina started to scoot away from him. Was he a treat or not? She keeps her eyes on him and continues to scoot away. Reina didn't know where to run to. It all looked the same. The halls confused. her. Everyone else knew where to go but she didn't. She kept watching slowly inching away. She didn't know what to do. Reina didn't know if he was a real threat or not.
Jake the Sage
Once the man had finished getting all of the saliva off of his hand he looked over to her and placed a hand on his waist. Quickly drawing and moving towards her at the same time he shoved Reina into the wall and held a short dagger to her throat, his eyues having shifted from kind and gentle to cold and calculating, "Don't move a muscle Princess if you value your life . . . I only have one question for you. Answer correctly and I'll not kill you here and now, answer wrong and . . . well . . . you get it." The time seemed to tick by slowly as the man's sight never changed from her's. The feeling of the cold iron against her skin made goosebumps which in turn sent shivers down her back. Was he really going to kill her if she answered wrongly? And what was the question he was preparing to ask? Sighing he finally asked, "What are you doing . . . outside your room?" CristalFlames
"I...I..." She stared at him. Reina kept looking at him and the blade at her throat. "I...I...was just looking around." She shook even more. Her stomach growled since she was still hungry. "!?" Her ears perked straight up. Her eyes grew wide. She was hoping he didn't hear that. Reina got in trouble before when she begged for more food and also when he stomach growled. She hoped her master wasn't around to hear it. "I..I'm sorry..." Jake the Sage
The man's expression instantly changed when he heardx Reina's stomach gorwl. He didn't look angry or even spitefully, no instead his eyes grew wide and sodid a smile on his face. Taking back the dagger from Reina's throat he set it in it's holster and started to laugh, "Ok that wasn't the response I was looking for but . . . good enough I guess." Looking at the petrified Reina the man's expression changed from laughter to curious, not really understanding why she was scared, and took a single step towards her, "Is there something wrong? If you want I can lead you to the kitchen so you can get something to snack on Princess . . ."

He mumbled under his breath how she should have warned him that she was going to do that and that she didn't really have a reason to do it. Another charmer... he thought sarcastically. But something is bothering her...but she just won't say anything to me. Ven shrugged and said,"Sorry..shouldn't have asked." He walked back and sat where he was before Noelle hit him and fell asleep once again.
CristalFlames
Reina looked confused. He was laughing. She didn't do anything but he was laughing. Reina looked at him. "But...master doesn't like me eating alot...He says that I will eat everything if he gives me alot of food..." She lowered her head. She had to remember her place. Reina's ears flattened back once again. She held her tail in her hands messing with it nervously. Reina couldnt believe that he wasn't hitting her, or taunting her like everyone else in the mansion. Jake the Sage
"Well my brother and I have different views on that," the man said and finally showed his relation to Reain's master, "And we can't have you rotting away now can we?" With a wide grin the man gave a slight nudge to her shoulder, not to force her or anything, but merely to get her started walking. He would tap her shoudlers every so often to direct her which way to turn and eventually made it to the kitchen. And what a kitchen it was! Just the pantry alone could feed an entire village . . . no . . . THREE entire villages for over seven months straight! The smell of meat and other goods filled Reina's nostrales and her ears perked up, but before any movement to begin eating could be made the man stopped her by grabbing her shoulders, "Now don't go overboard or my brother will find out, alright?" In Other Places X3 Noelle didn't even turn around and apologize for her actions. Instead she merely curled up into a ball and attempted to resume sleeping. Yet each time she was on the brink of that massive void called rest those memories would return and rewake her conciousness, thus effortlessly foiling her dozing. Standing up in her spot Noelle moved some hair out of her face and looked up at the sky before speaking softly to no one, "I wonder if a . . . bath would put me . . . at . . . ease?" Shrugging her shoulders Noelle stood up and glanced over at Ven, still snoring away as he had been before, and stepped over him. She had fully remembered the area by know and knew that there was a waterfall close by which she could bathe in. The water would be cold, of course, but Noelle had been born in a country perpetually covered in snow and ice . . . so it wouldn't matter in the least bit to her. CrystalCyae
Azuki leaned against a large rock, hands behind her head. She half closed her eyes, mearly out boredom. With the moon glinting high above, Azuki reckoned she was one of the only people still awake at this time of night. Opening her eyes wider, she looked around. The mountains all looked the same at night, meaning if she had continued her trek she would've ended up miles off target. Sighing, she remembered the dragon she'd seen earlier. She hadn't paid much attention to its appearence, but she'd seen the girl being carried away by it. Closing her eyes again, she had remembered how she'd decided to go help. "Why do I care?" She had wondered, until she'd seen the person being carried away closer. Shifting through hazed, old memories, she had somehow worked out that the girl being carried away was Reina, of Heartfall. Then there was good reason to head this way. "Good thing I was already in the mountains when it flew by." Azuki muttered with a smileOOC: If this wierd entry to this RP is bad, tell me. He then fell into a dream, he was standing between two crossroads and a choice to make. One path, he felt the presence of a strong and powerful swordsman. The other path, he felt the sadness and fear of someone...he knew that one path lead to Reina. He began to walk towards that path, until a voice stopped him. So, you rather save a girl you barely know...than avenge your father. Some swordsman..,the voice said to him. Ven turned and saw the man who killed his father. "Yes...I'm going to make sure I save her. I won't let anything happen to her!" he said pulling Fenrir to his hands. The man laughed and then said,"Then you'll die before then!!!" After he said that, he pulled his sword out and then stabbed Ven's chest. He let out a terrified scream as he awoke. Ven held his chest and was taking deep breaths. "I-It was...just a dream...but it felt so real.." he said to himself, as he tried to calm down.
Žäīἢ
Rai was standing on a tree branch leaning against the trunk of the tree, staring blankly at moon. A slight breeze was blowing from the north, which carried the sound of a distant scream to his ears. "That sounded like a scream of terror, might as well go check it out..." He lept out of the tree and landed without making a sound, checked to make sure he had all of his belongings, and then began to run in the direction of the scream with the gracefullness of a fox. Jake the Sage
While Azuki looked up at the night sky the sound of someone coming closer towards her caught her attention. It didn't sound like they were heading directly for them, but instead it seemed as if they were just wandering the immediate area. What she didn't know was it was Noelle, who had lef thte camp in search of an old waterfall where she could bathe. It was then that the sound of a scream reached both of their ears and Azuki could see Noelle turn around and look in the direction of the scream, her eyes closing and her breathing slowing down. For about a minute she stood there, listening to the wild around her, before opening her eyes and turning back to continue searchign for the waterfall. Did she not care about the scream or, as for Noelle it might be more likely, that she knew the reason behind the scream; hell for as cold as she is most of the time she might not care if Ven died in the woods at all. "Now if I . . . remember I need . . . to . . . turn here," Noelle said to herself as she rounded a bend which would bring her into sighting range of Azuki. CrystalCyae
Azuki opened her eyes wide as she heard a noise. She looked in all directions, but noticed no change to the rocky landscape. "Was probably just a rabbit or some other small animal." Azuki muttered, eyes half closing again. Moments later, she heard a scream. She opened her eyes wide again. That was definitly human, and it sounded fearful. Azuki could remember screaming like that when she woke up from nightmares. She relaxed slightly. "Right now, I doubt that was a scream of pain. It sounded more like someone waking up from a really scary nightmare." Azuki grumbled. But before her eyes could once again half-close, she saw someone out of the corner of her eye. Turning, she saw someone rounding a rock to come in her direction. She saw the person step closer. "Who are you?" Azuki demanded.
Žäīἢ
Rai kept on running in the direction of the scream until he came to the top of a tall waterfall. "Damn....I guess I have to jump." He took a few steps back and then ran full speed towards the edge of the cliff and lept off of it, doing three front flips before plunging into the watery depths below. He swam over to the edge of the pool of water and got out. He snapped his fingers and a flame appeared above his pointer finger, and then he began to slowly move the flame to dry his clothes. CristalFlames
Reina nodded. She liked her master's brother much better than her master. She went over to some fruit and started trying many kinds. Each one tasted so heavenly. Once her stomach was full she smiled and looked at him. Reina bowed. "Thank you so much. I feel much better." She hadn't eaten much. Her stomach had shrunk from not eating alot all those years. She walked over to him wondering what he was going to do now. Smashsquatch
Meanwhile in a dim dark pitch black world There was a portal opening and it showed Reina and her master's brother talking, in front of the portal stood a 16 yrs old boy wearing a large black overcoat with long black hair and had 2 large demon wings who was staring at the images in the portal. "So this is the girl who can heal those who are injured?" said the boy as he turned himself a little to talk to someone who was behind him. Behind him was an averge man who was in business suit shaking from what might happen. "Y-y-y-yeah t-t-that's her um Mr. aaaaa, Mr.aaaaa..." he was cut off by the boy who finally said his name, "Maverick, Maverick Simonette." said boy. "Um okay, Maverick can I go now I was suppose to go to a meeting?" said the man who was still shaking. Finally the expressionless Maverick turned and with one snap opened up another portal. The man went through it and left Maverick alone. "Could she be the missisg link?" Maverick thought to himself as he starred at the two he had been looking at before. The Final Messenger
Lan had just finished his act for the circus. He remembered the taunting colors of their voices, not to mention the actual words they had said. He had been told to stay backstage, so he did. Just like the obediant person he was. Not thinking rebelliously, not speaking rebelliously, and DEFINITELY bot acting rebelliously, he knew the consequences for all three of the choices. He looked at his hands, cold, lifeless, and artificially crafted of metal. He sighed at the rememberance of his mother and checked his leg for rust. Then he started crying, no, no more tears, being here is my punishment for being a bad boy, he thought, sitting down to rest his aching body. "I'll be free from here, someday," Lan said, before abruptly covering his mouth with his hands like he said a curse word or something of the such. I'm not allowed to speak like that, he thought bracing himself for what might happen in the next few minutes after the show ends of anyone heard him. Asriel Dreemurr
As it happened, there was a certain adventurer making his way past the circus at that exact moment. While it had not been his intention to wind up there, the circus happened to be in the path he had been following since seeing a Dragon fly off carrying some girl. The young man had been looking for a shortcut and just happened to accidentally make his way into the back stage area of performance just in time to see Lan and hear what he said. While he was slightly taken aback by the other boy's metal appendages, he simply chose to approach him and try to offer comfort. "You want to be free? I can make that a reality." When Lan decided to look up at him, he would see first and foremost a kindly expression on a somewhat roman looking face. Next he would likely notice the dark skin as well as the gray cloth tunic which the young man wore. On both hands and forearms he wore gauntlets made from wrapping leather straps about them and his left arm bore armor plating on the exterior, as well as a shoulder plate attached to the same strap which held his quiver full of arrows in place. His legs were clad in red cloth with golden thorn vines emblazoned upon them and he wore boots made in much the same way as his gauntlets. He was currently carrying a short bow that was quite obviously different from the normal wood which tended to be used for the creation of most such weapons. On his belt was a long sheathe which doubtlessly held a fine hunting knife. The young man's head was shaved except for a patch of spiked blonde hair at the front near the top of his forehead. If Lan were to look into his eyes he would see the odd pale green coloration, but relative lack of emotion in them. There was also the oddly shaped waved tattoo around his neck. The Final Messenger
Lan saw his voice gave of the color of good intention, but ultimately it would fail becuase of the following Lan would say. "Yeah, right," Lan replied, tossing a knife he concealed in the back of his pants in the air and catching the bladed side with his metal hands. He sighed and said, "you know why?" He tugged on something concealed by the curtain, a chain to keep him there, as if he could actually escape. "And if you cut it apart" Lan said pointing up to reveal a metal cage that would fall when the chain was cut. He sighed and said, "and if anyone finds me talking to you I'll be whipped, or worse." He emphasized 'worse' by sliding his finger across his neck. "Anyway you'd better get going, I don't want to get punished," Lan said, throwing the kitchen knife up and down in a slow, paced tempo. Up, down, up, down.
Asriel Dreemurr
The young man sighed quietly, looking first at the chain and then at the cage above. He smiled widely for a moment and then knelt to the ground for a moment. He began drawing a square around Lan with circles positioned at the exact location of the corners of the cage. If Lan were to ask him what he was doing, he would simply continue on and finish the drawing. "Now, that ought to help me focus..." As soon as he had finished, he stood up and brought his right foot a few feet off the ground, directly over one of the lines. The tattoo around his neck suddenly began to glow a light brown as he drove his foot hard down into the ground. At the same moment his boot impacted the line, a similar glow shot out along the lines and with a resounding crack four spires of stone shot forth from the ground and rose up to support the cage well enough that if the chain were to break, it would be held long enough to allow Lan to escape. The young man now moved to the chain and brought his foot up once more. He slammed it into the chain itself and two razor sharp semi-circular blades of earth shot out from either side. The blades sheared easily through the chain, causing the cage to be released, but supported by the spires. He stretched out his hand to Lan for the other boy to take it. "Don't ever doubt me when I say something. Now, let's go."
The Final Messenger
"Umm... Okay," Lan said, notcing that the colors of the sound from the cage were vibrant, signifying they were VERY loud. "We'd better get going," he said opening the side of the big top, "watch out for other circus staff that are not 'freaks' like me, the 'freaks are the ones still in the big top, the booths and clowns, watch for them." Lan warned the man, "by the way my name is Lan, I'm a half puppet." Then he heard the crown clapping, and the ringmaster announcing that the show was over and to buy souvenirs and the such. "Go!" Lan yelled quietly with a sense of urgency. Lan slipped through the big top with his knife in hand. He looked around, the coast was clear, for now. Lan signaled the young man with his hand before disappearing behind a certain train car of a certain puppet boy named Lan, who had a relation to Lan of course. Lan grabbed a kit for his arms and legs just incase they rusted and came back to the young man saying, "follow me" and subsequently running off towards the exit.
