I hate when people steal my ideas.

I was reading my August 2010 Nintendo Power (oh stfu up, I am not a fanboy), and something surprised me. I won't quote it directly, but while they were talking about Rock Band 3, they said that a new "two-octave piano instrument" will be included.

I suggested that when I first got Guitar Hero: World Tour. And I suggested a two- to three-octave portable keyboard. And now Rock Band is stealing my idea. I'm fucking pissed.

Anyways, discuss Rock Band 3 (coming out holiday season 2010), and this new kick-ass piano instrument. =)

My sister wants this game just for the keyboard. She loves keyboard/piano.

I'll wait to see what songs are on there. Hopefully, good songs. Maybe more 3 Doors Down or Fall Out Boy. I would also like to see Atreyu in this game. And, of course, good keyboard/piano songs.

Rock Band 3 looks good. However' date=' this one better have more metal. Judas Priest, Megadeth, Old Man's Child...

Most metal songs don't have piano tracks, and the ones that do don't necessarily have good ones.

I want to see more variety. Like, non-shitty pop music? Add some rock and metal, with like half a country song and you have a game. It's an 83-song set list, but I don't want 40 of those songs being from one genre. :/

The plastic guitars can still be difficult to play even if you already play guitar' date=' as can the drums.

The piano will be too easy for me.

That'd because a guitar utilizes six strings and a bunch of places to strike a note, and drums have more cymbals than Guitar Hero and Rock Band drums. But yeah, Rock Band 3 has a pro mode where you can buy a plastic real guitar (six-stringed and all that good stuff) and actually learn to play the guitar using a video game. Same for bass, same for drums, same for vocals (still not really, since the vocal detection system sucks), and now even for the piano, although it's two-octaved only.

But yeah, the second I get that game, I'm going to try the most difficult song on Expert on piano and see how I fare. ^_____^

I don't really go by grades. My and my piano teacher pretty much choose a bunch of video game music or classical music and I learn it. Which sucks because they are of such varying difficulties. D':

You're teacher is cool with you learning VGM? My Jazz teacher laughed when he found my Ducktales - The Moon sheet music. My teacher and I transcribe Jazz solos by ear together and then learn them. The best way to learn how to improvise is by learning how others do it.
