Reina kept walking. She had so much on her mind. Reina started to cry as she walked off. It hurt to just walk away. Away from Jecht. Away from the place she belonged. She made her legs move and her tears kept falling. "Jecht..."She whispered to herself. "I'm sorry....I love you...Goodbye"

From his perch in the tree he watched Reina. Was he being nosy? Some would say. Parinoid? Possibly. Considering everything that happened not so much. Caring? Yes. He watch intently as she walked, but she didn't stop and didn't look like she was anytime soon. She is leaving His mind filled with thoughts about Reina being hurt. He remembered her being beaten. She could've died if she didn't heal herself. He thought about different sencerios. Her being knocked out, she couldn't heal herself if she was unconscious, and bleed to death. He couldn't think about it anymore. He had to stay with her. Jecht swiftly jumped from the tree and glided to the next, silently he landed on the branches, silent, undetecable.

Reina kept walking and crying. Every step she took hurt. "I got to do this...He will get hurt cause of me....I don't want him to die..."She told herself outloud. Reina stopped. She slapped herself. "Snap out of it! You are doing this to help him! If you want him alive then you need to leave!"

As Jecht got closer. He could hear her talk 'hurt cause of me' and 'need to leave.'. She's leaving because she's scared I'll get hurt. He still was going tree to tree, following her. He tried his best to be quiet. Never thought there was such a thing as too caring. He thought and was trying to sense anyone who would be nearby, but it was hard because he was trying to concentrate on landing on the thin branches of the trees.

Her ears twitched and she looked around to see if anyone was watching. She stomped the ground and the ground shook. Her eyes had turned blood red Realizing what she was doing her eyes went back to normal and she started to run off. She wanted to feel that flying sensation she had felt before when Jecht was flying. Reina stuck her arms out as if soaring but only on the ground. She wanted the taste of freedom.

Jecht's eyes widened with shock, when he felt the ground shake as she stomped her foot. Jecht felt sad for her when she held her arms out like she was flying. She looked like a child imitating an airplane. Don't worry Reina. You'll feel it again. He thought. He had to move fast to keep up with her and it was diffucult since he was in the trees like some squirrel. He could fly but she would no doubt know it was him. If she was running away from Jecht then it wouldn't be a smart to just come right out, or she'd run off and Jecht would lose her.

Reina ended up running up to a lake. A look of peace appeared on her face when she saw it. It reminded her of home. Her arms lowered and she slowly stepped out onto the water. She walked out on the water to the middle of the lake and smiled. Reina couldn't swim but didn't think she would fall in. She started to sing in Heartfallian and the water started to move around her. Slowly Reina started to dance on the water. She felt calm and a real smile appeared on her face. Reina felt like she was back home dancing on the water like she was being taught. The water moved as she danced.

Luckily there were still trees but he knew they would run out soon. Jecht sat down on the branch he was one and looked through the leaves. He saw Reina dancing atop the water of a lake. The water danced with her and Jecht just smiled at her. He wished he could be out there with her. She truly does have power, maybe she didn't need me. He thought but knew he couldn't go to sleep while he was worrying about Reina.

Reina slipped and lost balance. She started to fall back nearly landing in the water. Instead the water helped her to shore so she landed on the ground instead. "It is sad....I can't swim but I control water..." She said to herself. "I can't even control my powers..." Reina stood up. "If I leave before another fight I won't lose control around Jecht and he won't get hurt because of me. And he won't know I can't control my powers." She tugged the collar gently. "It don't help with this thing....To bad I am not the one that can take it off..." She sighed.

Jecht watched Reina intently, luckily he could hear what she was saying. Then he saw her fidgeting with a collar that was around her neck. Somehow he had never noticed it before. Wonder what that is. He thought and she said she couldn't take it off. What's that supposed to mean? Jecht questioned himself but of course he couldn't get answers out of himself. He sat on the branch. It seemed like it was too light to hold him up. Even though it seemed to support him well enough he had his claws engraved into the tree trunk.

"Why can't I control my own powers?!" The water flew up in the air and rained down on her. When she calmed down it stopped. "Rein, I want to come home. But I want to stay here with Jecht what do I do?" She could hear his words in his head as if he was talking to her. "Reina, That is your choice not mine. Do whatever makes you happy." She sighed. "I want to stay with Jecht...but...he could get hurt cause of me..."

Jecht wanted to go down there and comfort her but he didn't know how she would react. Would she run off? He thought, if she ran off maybe I wouldn't be able to find her, and then she'd get attacked. Then the thoughts of Reina's lifeless body returned to his mind. That can't happen. That won't happen. He thought confident as he watched her struggle.

Reina sighed. "What would make me happy? Jecht would....But....His life is worth more than mine...I'd give up my life to make sure he lived.."She started to walk off. Reina knew what she had to do. SHe had to leave so then he wouldn't get hurt. Him being alive was more important than her happiness. Reina kept walking farther and farther away. Hoping she made the right choice she looked back once and then kept going slowly away from there. The place she felt she belonged.
