Ghoulish
They are both very strong defensively, but Gaara has both the range and the offensive advantage, if crocodile got caught in the sand tsunami then he'd get trapped under sand.
Andx
Everyone is assuming that Gaara's powers could hurt Crocodile or that Gaara could control him. The idea is laughable. Crocodile is not actually physically human. He is pure sand; regardless of his appearance that fact never changes. You can't hurt him just by covering him in sand and crushing it inwards. The reason? Because all you're doing is pushing sand inward, it's not actually hurting Crocodile. And the giant sand burial wouldn't do much either. You can't bury Crocodile in sand as he would just turn into sand and move his body through what Gaara covered him with. The shockwaves wouldn't do much either as they're meant to hurt the people in the sand, not the sand itself. Hurting sand isn't possible. And when Crocodile is sand it's his body meaning it only moves according to his will. Gaara can't move that. Or if he tries it's not going to be a fun battle. And even if he could control Crocodile, what good would it do? He still wouldn't have a way to hurt him. Moving him around doesn't do much. And once Gaara's out of chakra Crocodile is free to move again and won't have been hurt in the process. And Gaara's defense doesn't mean much when Crocodile can just float around and reform his hand right next to him and then drain all the water out of his body. Gaara can't hurt Crocodile and Crocodile can kill him so easily it's not funny. Now I still like Gaara mind you, but Crocodile is an opponent he can't defeat. The Shukaku doesn't change anything either. But whatever, go about arguing how Gaara is invincible. I'm don't particularly care. Half the people in the poll don't seem to know a thing about One Piece anyway, invalidating any argument they care to make. And I've already said way too much for a simple poll so that's it from me. Ghoulish
Sands pretty solid when together, how is he expected to move from it? he'd be stuck.unless he can magically reapear above the sand.
Saturn of Elemia
I'd laugh if Gaara (somehow) controlled Crocodile and dropped him in the middle of a body of water. Good game, Mr. Crocodile. If that's not a valid option, then I would probably have to tip my hat to Crocodile.

Shradow
Crocodile wouldn't let himself be controlled by Garaa, Garaa would try, exert himself, maybe a vein in his forehead would pulse a bit, and Crocodile would be on his merry way.

Shradow
Yes, but Gaara would have to keep the sand on him if that were the case, and what would that accomplish? A stale mate, Gaara standing there holding his fist up in the air, with sand covering Crocodile. Until Gaara's chakra would run out, then Crocodile would kick his butt. Admiral Tim
croc's power lies in dehydration so all he has to do is to touch garaa and he'll be finished.
Ghoulish
at the end of the day it would be close, gaara could finish it quickly, but croc could make the battle last longer and win. i'd still vote gaara however.
