Hadeus was sitting in his room, the room where he did most of his thinking. He was alone, he would have had his right hand man by his side, but he had failed Hadeus to much, and got himself banished to the Shadow Realm. All I need, is a power source strong enough, to open the Rift Gate. I have the Gods, I have the Millenium Rod...all I need is a power source. A random low level grunt Rare hunter ran into the room.

 

"Master Hadeus, we have a problem." The grunt said as he was panting.

 

Hadeus stood up and pointed his Millenium Rod at the grunt. "Why would you just burst in here, you know this is the area where Im in concentration. The Millenium Rod began to shine, and then lightly glow. The grunt feel to his knees and was screaming.

 

"Please Master....forgive me....I have something...you have to know..."

The grunt continued to scream in pain. And then he stopped. Breathing heavily, he looked up at Hadeus.

 

"Well go on, I haven't got all day, what is it? It better be good...or you'll have a date with the Shadows!"

 

The grunt made a very obvious *gulp* and then began to talk. "Ok Master Hadeus, one of our scouts, the one in Xiona...he is gone. He lost his soul.

 

Hadeus was outraged. He walked over to te grunt and lifted him up by the scrouf of his shirt. "What?! How?!"

 

"Something called, the Seal of Orichalcose...it took his soul." Hadeus threw the ground to the ground. He began to walk back to his chair. He turned around.

 

"Your lucky I dont banish you into eternal darkness...go, sound the Rare Hunters, tell them there will be a meeting in 5 minutes....we are going to Xiona." The grunt ran out and Hadeus reached into his jacket and pulled out the 3 Eygiptian God cards. "Soon...soon" He said to himself.

[~Duo~]

"A meeting...? How amusing," Zhalia mused to herself, sincerely interested. She looked through her cards and smiled at the sight of the cards she had rightfully stolen. I have bent you to my will, and you serve me faithfully... She shook her head and put her mind back on track. "I shall be there, obviously..." The grunt nodded and left quickly to alert the other Rare Hunters. She began sauntering to the meeting, taking her time. No need to rush... she thought smugly.

Hadeus went into the main room of his "hideout", where the normal grunts always went for the meetings. Hadeus's mind was still on the name of that card, Orichalcose. He knew if this card could send peoples souls away, then it might have enough power to combine with the gods and the Millenium Rod to open the Rift Gate. He looked at many of the Rare Hunters who were coming in. He chuckled to himself. Most of them were just pawns, most he didnt care about or even need. But there were a select few who he refered to as his children, because of his age, he felt like their fathers. He took them in and showed them what true power was.

Desperado was walking around when he spotted some kid with a glowing forhead that just looked weird.

 

"I challenge you to a duel!" the strange duelist said

 

"Fine then."

 

Desperado got his duel disk ready and then he got his deck into his area.

 

"i'll start since you challenged me. I set a card face down in defense mode and set 4 cards facedown."

[Daxter]

Hadeus was waiting inside the room, still only a few rare Hunters were there. But he was tired of waiting. "Ok everyone. The time has finally come. We shall soon rise to power! I have recieved word that a possible power source has been found...in Xiona." The crowd of Rare Hunters all chuckled. The rare Hunters loved Xiona. It was the best town to Hunt in. "Alright everyone, get ready, we will be going to Xiona tomorrow. Prepare your rarest most powerful decks, the battle is apon us. We will not stop until we gain control of the Orichalcose, and if anyone gets in our way..." Hadeus pointed his millenium rod at the crowd of Rare Hunters and it began to glow. "I have a special place to send them!" Hadeus laughed and so did the crowd of Rare Hunters. Hadeus turned around and began to walk back to his private room. "Your dismissed." He said. All of the Rare hunters then began to scatter and get ready for the journey.

Desperado was in the middle of the duel when the strange duelist played something called the Seal of orichalcose.

 

"When this field spell is activated you will battle for your soul hahahahaha! Now i summon my card Orichalcose Kirose now attack his facedown card!"

 

1300+500 power boost from orichalcose= 1800 atk

 

The facedown flipped and it turned out to be a monster known as Giant Soldier of Stone who has 2000 defense points

 

"i set two cards facedown and end my turn."

 

Desperado smiled and activated 3 of his trap cards one was jaar of greed, the other was ultra draw, and the other was hateful draw. He drew 5 cards and lost 1000 lifepoints.

"i activate 3 premature burials and send 3 normal monsters to my graveyard known as Blocking Slime, Attacking Slime, and Hateful Slime. Now i send the 3 normal monsters from my graveyard to my deck. Now i summon Exodius, the Ultimate Forbidden Lord." Desperado smiled. "now i sacrafice Exodius to summon Exodium, the Pharoah!"

 

Exodium, the Pharoah= 100 atk / 4000 defense

 

"now i sacrafice 500 lifepoints to send one Piece of Exodia to my graveyard. Now i activate the spell card Countdown to Obliteration to send 2 more pieces to my graveyard. now i have to send countdown to obliteration to my out of play zone. now Exodium gains 4000 attack this battle phase and he can attack your monster. I end my turn"

Zain walked into the card shop. "Hey, Zain, what can I do for ya?" Drake, the shop owner, asked.

 

"Nothin, just checkin if you got any new cards in," he replied.

 

"Well, I got a Red Dragon Archfiend today, but you don't like synchros, so I don't have anything new for ya," Drake replied.

 

"Oh well, that figures, I'll see you tomorrow then," Zain said as he walked out of the shop and into the street. After walking for five minutes, a kid who looked like he was 15 walked up to him.

 

"Zain! Can you duel me?" he asked excited to see the city champion.

 

"Sure," he said as he got ready to duel, "It'll let me kill some time. I'll go first." They both drew five cards.Zain Drew. "I set a monster in face down defense mode and set 4 cards facedown and end my turn."

His opponent drew. "I summon battle ox in attack mode. Now! Battle Ox! Attack his facedown!" he said commanding his monster.

 

"I activate magic cylinder!" Zain said revealing his trap card and inflicting 1700 damage to his opponents lifepoints.

 

Me:4000 Opponent:2300

 

"Ouch,' his opponent said as he took the damage, "I end my turn."

 

Zain drew. "I flip summon Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter and activate his effect to send the top 3 cards from the top of my deck to the graveyard to destroy 1 card on the field." he said as he sent Waboku, Polymerization, and Draining Shield to the graveyard, " Say goodbye to your battle ox." Battle ox disappeared from the field. "Now I equip Ryko with my facedown Ribbon of Rebirth and tribute him to summon White-Horned Dragon. I remove from play Ribbon of Rebirth and Polymerization from play from my graveyard using White-Horned Dragons effect to raise hiss attack points by 600. Now, White-Horned dragon, attack his lifepoints directly!" He said commanding his monster. His opponents lifepoints dropped to 0.

"I lost, but what should i expect from challenging the city champ? Oh well..." his opponent said. Zain walked down the street and into a dark,side alley."Lets see those rare hunters attack me," he said with a smirk.

2 turns later from the duel of the orichalcos Desperado used the final effect of Exodium to finish off the orichalcose duelist

 

"I activate Exodium's special effect to sacrafice 500 lifepoints and now that i have 5 forbidden one cards in my graveyard i can finish this!"

 

a giant pentagram formed on the field and slowly 5 pieces of the body of exodia came out and out came exodia with his enormous power. He then had a glowing ball of energy in his hands

 

"Exodia OBLITERATE!!!!" Desperado then wacthed as the orichalcose seal slowly shrank around the duelist

 

"PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!" the duelist screamed

 

Desperado smiled and walked away slowly not looking back once with his ultimate cards "i didnt even have to use Set to finish this kid off, what a loser."

 

Desperado finally looked back and the duelist was no logner there

 

"Oh well." Desperado walked to the hideout making sure he wasn't followed and came into the meeting late

Hadeus was sitting in his room. His mind was still on the task that was at hand. All he needed was this Orichalcose card, and his goal would be complete. The rift gate would be opened. The door opened and 2 Rare Hunters were dragging another. They threw him to the ground and he stumpled to his knees.

 

"Master Hadeus, this scum was caught stealing Rare cards, from us sir. He had been stealing from memebers of the Rare Hunters for weeks now. He claims he has stolen so many his deck is unstopable. He is a disgrace and a traitor!"

 

Hadeus looked down at the pathetic excus of a henchmen. "Leave us." Hadeus said as he reached for his duel disk and grabbed his deck from inside his rob. "Ok, here is the deal. If you can do 1000 points of damage to me, I will let you walk out of here right now with every card you have stolen. But, there are 2 conditions. 1, if you do now damage, I'll cast your soul into the deepest of shadows." A dark fog began to sorround them. "And the other, we will be dueling in the shadow realm!" Hadeus drew 5 cards. The Rare Hunter stumbled to his feet. "Fine, you dont scare me, Rare Hunters say they have never seen you duel, so you must have a pretty weak deck there old man!"

 

Hadeus smiled. "Youll wish you never made an insult, or ever betrayed me when your being fed on by creatures of the darkness. Go ahead, go first you scum!"

 

The Rare Hunter drew up his hand, his final duel began.

"I'll start by summoning my all powerful Master Kyonshee in attack mode!" A ninja zombie appeared and pulled out 2 swords. "And to end my turn, ill throw down one face down card, that'll do it!"

"Hmm, I'm a little dissappointed, I thought I taught my Rare Hunters better than that... Oh well, you won't matter much when your gone." Hadeus drew his card for the turn.

"Hmmm, I'll start by activating my Spell card, Mystical Space Typhoon, to rid the field of your face down card." The Shrink that the Rare hunter had face down was destroyed, and now he had nothing but his warrior zombie to defend him. "Next I'll summon my Giant Germ monster to the field. Also I will discard 1 level 8 Dark monster in my hand to the graveyard to Special Summon my Dark Grepher to the field. Now I already have an upper hand."

 

The Rare hunter began to laugh. "How do you figure, your strongest monster is still 50 points weaker than mine!"

 

Hadeus smirked. "Yeah you are the dumbest henchmen I have, I will be pleased to see the shadows feed on you. Giatn Germ attack his Master Kyonshee!" The Giant Germ flew at the Master Kyonshee only to be destroyed. Costing Hadeus 750 Life Points, but also inflicting 500 points of damage to the Rare Hunter. 2 more Giant Germs appeared on the field.

 

"Your cheating! You cant summon anymore monsters this turn!" The Rare Hunter yelled, to busy to notice what the shadows around him were doing.

 

"No you idiot, Giant Germ has a special effect, when one is destroyed, my opponent takes 500 points of damage, and I get to Special Summon 2 more from my deck! Now here is a quick lesson for you, it's called how to defeat a rookie. Ill activate my Dark Grephers effect, by discarding 1 of the Dark monsters in my hand to the Graveyard, I can send 1 Dark monster in my deck to the graveyard. So I'll send Newdoria from my hand, to send my Spirit of Greed monster to the graveyard from my deck. Now that I have assembled 3 fiends into my Graveyard, the real fun begins, Ill remove the Giant Germ, Newdoria, and Spirit of Gredd from the game to Special Summon Dark Necrofear!" Dark Necrofear came out of the shadows and looked as terrifying as ever. The Rare Hunter saw its attack value and started to become frightened. "Please master Hadeus, you know I was only kidding right!? Spare me!"

 

Hadeus laughed. "Oh stop whimpering you pathetic loser, one of us must be taken by the shadows, they demand it. Besides, I went very easy on you this duel!" Hadeus laughed as he changed his Giant Germs to defense mode and then ended his turn. The next turn it was over.

The shadows of this Shadow game were all around the Rare Hunter, almost as if they knew he was done for. He began to whimper, and didnt even lift his hand to draw a card. He looked up at Hadeus and a single tear trickled down his cheek. He lifted his hand and placed it on top of his deck. His life point counter shot to zero and the shadows that were aroudn him immediatly jumped at him and began to devour him. His screams were the only thing that could be heard in this room now. The duel ended and the shadows began to vanish leaving only Hadeus, and the now empty Rare Hunter. His mind devoured by the shadows. Hadeus walked over to his desk and hit a little button. "Get in here" he said. A few moments later to Rare Hunters walked in and dragged the Rare Hunter out and Hadeus sat back down, almost shocked that his Rare Hunters were trained to duel so poorly.

Desperado walked into the room with a smile on his face

 

"Master I had been challenged by a strange duelist using a very strange card." Desperado kneeled before his master. "It was the one you had been talking about."

 

Desperado then stood before his master "I don't know what the card did because the person using it dissapeared before i could grab the card and put it into our storage of rare cards."

[Daxter]

Hadeus stood up and walked over to the Rare Hunter that was now in front of him. "You have seen the Orichalcose? So you came here to tell me you failed at getting it for me?!" Hadeus began to get angry, but forced himself to calm down. "So tell me, whats your name, I haven't seen you around here, most Rare Hunters I converted myself, but you...I dont recognize you." Hadeus had a feeling, this Rare hunter was someone special. "Tell me Rare Hunter, if you failed me, would you beg for forgivness, or accept the shadows as punishment?" The question seemed a little weird. But Hadeus used weird questions to root out ither Rare Hunters who were unworthy, or who were someone who could be moved up in the ranks, the ones he considered Elite Rare Hunters.

[Zetsu-plant]

Desperado smiled "My fate is my fate i will go were i am sent. I was chosen by the leader before you. Master Marik chose me to be a Lieutenant in the army of rare hunters. And i would never beg for forgiveness, i am one who is stronger than these... Others."

He showed his deck that was not only rare but was impossible to complete due to 4 cards that didn't even excist in the Duel Monster database

Hadeus thought about what this Rare hunter had said. "Well you still never told me your name, but thats is all well." Hadeus walked back to his desk and gabbred his Millenium Rod, threw his deck in his robe, and put his duel disk on. "Well we have little time, we are going to Xiona soon." Hadeus walked out of his room and into the main hall way where all of the Rare hunters were gathered. "Gents, head to the ship, we leave now!" All of the Rare hunters left out of the hide out and all gathered on a giant boat, there were so many Rare Hunters, almost an army. Hadeus had a feeling a war was coming, a war between the Rare hunters and the Orichalcose. The ship began to leave and head for Xiona.

Desperado walked to the ship but before he did he grabbed another deck, one with a power not forseen by any. The deck had been tainted with darkness and had sent many diffrent duelists to the shadows

 

"This deck is my key to becoming the Lieutenant again."

 

Desperado then headed to the ship

 

"your time has come Death Chimera." he thought to himself

Zain walked out of the other side of the alley. "Ha, I guess I wont be attacked today," He said to himself as he began walking down the street and back to Drake's card shop. He walked in the door.

 

"Hey, Zain, what do you need?" Drake asked.

 

"I need 1 Bottomless trap hole, 1 torrential tribute, 2 sakurestu armors, and 2 smashing grounds," he said to drake. Drake walked into the back of the shop and brought out the cards he asked for a minute later.

 

" Here you go," Drake said giving him the cards.

 

"Thanks," Zain said as he walked out the door. He liked having a 1,000 dollar store credit. he could always walked in and get the cards he needed. He took out Both his melovent nuzzlers, Both of his polymerizations , his draining shield,and his magic cylinder and put them in his side deck. Then he put his newly purchased cards in. "Well, all that's left to make this deck perfect is to get my 2 special cards at home," he said to himself as he walked down the street to his apartment.

Zhalia recognized the dismissal and left the room waiting for their arrival to Xiona. She had seen a man, most likely a Rare Hunter, for he was able to leave the room, go inside and leave. She didn't know what to make of it, so she decided to trail him (Desperado) and see what he was up to. Desperado went on the ship so she gave a sigh of relief, then suddenly, she tensed. What if he's a spy...? She also boarded the boat, bringing with her, 2 questions.

 

"What is your name? Are you a Rare Hunter?”

 

OOC: I'm talking to you, zetsu-plant.

Zain walked through the front door of his apartment and walked to his bedroom. He opened his closet and unlocked the safe that had his two, one of a kind cards in it. He removed 1 Cyber dragon, and 1 luster dragon from his deck and inserted his 2 special ones. He relocked his safe and went back out of his apartment. He stared to walk down the street. Soon, he realized that someone was following him. And it wasn't one of his usual fans either, this man was dressed in black, and his forehead was glowing.

Hadeus was standing near the edge of the front of the boat. He could see Xiona from where the boat was, soon they'd be there. All of my searching, may have finally come to a close he thought to himself. While standing by the side of the boat, he saw a card floating in the water, it was to far to tell what it was. He quickly tried to find something that he could use to get it out of the water. He couldn't find anything. So the only thing he could think of, he did. He walked over to some random Rare Hunter who was also near the edge of the boat.

 

"Hello master Hadeus" The Rare Hunter said and took a brief bow.

 

"Good evening. Do you happen to see that card floating in the water?" Hadeus asked pointing at it. The Rare hunter leaned close to the edge and squinted his eyes.

 

"I think so, why?" As soon as the word why came out of his mouth, Hadeus grabbed him by the back of the neck and threw him over board. "Go get it!" he yelled.

 

The Rare Hunter fell in the ocean and began to gasp for air. He was right next to the card and he picked it up. He grabbed a rope that was on the side of the boat and began to climb up the side. He fell over on the boat and handed the card to Hadeus. He was very angry at his leader, but he knew if he questioned Hadeus, he would most likely suffer a fate worse than death. Hadeus took the card and read the name of it to himself. Hmm Des Frog? Interesting... He placed the card in his jacket and went inside his main office on the boat. He then pulled out his trunk that contained 1000's of Rare Cards and began to assemble a deck, he wasn't sure why, but that Des Frog almost called out to him.

[Zetsu-plant]

Desperado stared at her "i am indeed." Desperado then smiled and kinda moved in on his target "And are you an Angel?" Desperado then smiled and looked down at his deck hoping she does not feel the tainted darkness of it. "Haha just kidding... so why do you ask?" He then shifted to the side avoiding her and trying to escape. He then ran away "My name is Desperado Perez!" He then escape into a room that seemed to run the engine of the ship where he thought no one could find him and he then looked at the his deck, eyes glowing and all. His card Death Chimera began to speak to him "You are now mine!" he then put his deck away and walked out of the room.

[~Duo~]

Zhalia cocked her head, surprised. Then she taken on the appearance of one that is amused once more. "Strange..." From her belt, a strange form bubbled out from it. It was a Duel Spirit of "E-HERO Neos". He folded his arms together and nodded his head. Yes, I agree... Zhalia smiled at him, then chided, "Seriously, Neos, when are you going to stop doing that 'arm folding' thing? It makes you look lame." Neos was taken aback, as if she had mortally offended him. What ever do you mean? It makes me look awesome! She shook her head, chuckling. Then, she placed her arms on the railings and watch Xiona come closer and closer in sight.

[Zetsu-plant]

Desperado then walked out again seeing Zhalia and a duel spirit. He walked over thinking, She could be quite useful. He then walked over "Sorry about earlier i was kind of in a rush and i couldn't help but noticed you have a duel spirit to your side." He then smiled. "and i must say your not too bad, quite a looker actually, and i couldn't help but asking this but when this all over and we make it out alive, would you like to go on... a date?" Desperado thought in his mind, This will be easier than a sunday morning.

[~Duo~]

She smirked. Really...? Zhalia thought, amused. Then she turned and faced him. "Probably... we'll see later. But for now, would you like a duel, before we get there? Perhaps... if you win, I'll consider your request with more thought," she said pleasantly, but actually annoyed by what he said... "quite a looker". Arrogance... or ignorance? I'd say a little bit of both. Then Neos suggested, Arrogance. She glared at him. Did I ask you? Then she faltered. But my guess was the same.

[Daxter]

Hadeus spent only a few minutes on the basics of his new deck, but he knew it was going to be an amazing help for the Eygiptian Gods. He made he way out to the main section of the boat and saw many Rare Hunters gathered around, as if a duel was about to happen. Hadeus didnt have to push his way threw the crowd, they all moved out of his way. He got to the front and notcied Desperado was about to duel a young woman. This will be intersting, help me find a second in command in this massive group of failures

Desperado smiled. "i like this idea.: Desperado then grabbed his duel disk and put in his deck. "i get first move!"

Desperado drew 5 cards from his deck and then drew one more "my draw! I set a monster in defense position and special summon 1 Galaxor in defense mode."

 

Galaxor= 100 atk/ 1900 defense

 

"When he is succesfully special summoned i can draw 1 card. Now i activate the field spell Pyramid of Set! Once per turn i can draw one card and if it is has God in it's name and has a level of 4 stars or lower i can special summon it to my side of the field in defense mode. Now i set 1 card facedown and activate the spell card swords of revealing light. I now end my turn cutey." Desperado smiled and winked

Zhalia gazed at Desperado's set monster and Galaxor. Then, closing her eyes, she took out a rose from her belt. She made a motion as if to give it to him, then she clasped it with both hands, eyes still closed. The petals opened and the entire rose glowed. It morphed into the shape of a Duel Disk. "Alright then! My turn, draw!" She glanced at the card and smiled. "I activate 'Ancient Rules' and Special Summon 'E-HERO Neos'!" A bright rainbow orb appeared and out came a muscled humanoid. "With that, I play 'Skyscraper'!" The Pyramid crumbled to dust, and out came enormous Skyscrapers from the ground. "Mystical Space Typhoon!" She pointed at his "Swords of Revealing Light" and it was destroyed. "Next, 'Allure of Darkness'! I remove from play 'E-HERO Void Warrior' and draw two cards! I Special Summon 'Neo-Spacian Blossom Rose' by it's effect, since I have a face-up Neos! Now, Neos, take that 'Galaxor' down!"

 

2500 ATK > 100 ATK > 2400 Damage

 

[spoiler=Only if you can Contact Fusion during Battle Phase.]

"Next, I send Neos and Blossom Rose back to my deck to Fusion Summon 'E-HERO Thorn Rose Neos'! With that, I destroy all your Spell and Traps and now I attack your face-down!"

 

 

 

Neos punched "Galaxor" and it shattered into pieces. "I set 1 card. Turn End!"
