I tried to make a boss monster that wasn't too overpowered.

It's Tabuu from Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary.

Level 12 [DARK]

[Psychic/Effect]

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 3 monsters and sending 2 monsters you control to the Graveyard. The Special Summon of this card cannot be prevented or negated. When this card is Summoned or flipped face-up, put 30 HP counters on this card. You cannot use 4 of your Monster Card Zones. When a card effect is activated (except this card's), you can remove 4 HP counters to make this card unaffected by that effect. During your Battle Phase only, this card's original ATK becomes 4000. When this card attacks, you can remove any number of HP counters from this card to lower the ATK or DEF of the attack target by 500 for each counter removed. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If you would take Battle Damage from a battle involving this card, remove HP counters from this card for each multiple of 500 damage you would have taken (rounded down), then lower the Battle Damage to 0. When there are no HP counters on this card, destroy this card.

Off Waves

[spell Card]

You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to add 1 "Tabuu" from your Deck to your hand. Activate only if you control "Tabuu". Remove from play all monsters your opponent controls. "Tabuu" cannot attack during the turn this card is activated.

 

Off Waves is a separate card and not one of Tabuu's effects because in SSBB, Tabuu can only use his Off Waves at specific times, and not as freely as his other attacks.

 

 

The fastest way I can think of to summon Tabuu is "Flute of Summoning Kuriboh" + "Inferno Reckless Summon" + "Multiply" to get 2 Kuribohs and 3 Kuriboh Tokens.

 

[spoiler=Example of Tabuu using his effects:]- Player 1 has 5 monsters on the field, at least 2 of which are non-Tokens.

- Player 2 has "Archlord Kristya" and "Dark Armed Dragon" on the field, plus 2 facedowns.

- Player 1 removes his 5 monsters to Special Summon "Tabuu". His Summon cannot be prevented by Kristya.

- Player 1 equips Tabuu with "Axe of Despair", raising his ATK to 2000.

- Player 1 enters his Battle Phase, raising Tabuu's ATK to 5000. He attacks and destroys Archlord Kristya, inflicting 2200 damage.

- Player 1 ends his turn. Tabuu's ATK returns to 2000.

- Player 2 draws and Normal Summons "Harpie Lady". He activates his facedown "Icarus Attack", Tributing Harpie Lady to destroy the two cards that Player 1 controls.

- Player 1 removes 4 HP counters from Tabuu (26 left) to prevent "Icarus Attack" from affecting Tabuu. Axe of Despair is still destroyed. Tabuu's ATK drops to 1000.

- Player 2 attacks Tabuu with Dark Armed Dragon. Instead of Player 1 taking 1800 damage, Tabuu loses 3 HP counters (23 left).

- Player 2 ends his turn.

- Player 1 activates "Off Waves" from his hand.

- Player 2 chains "Magic Jammer". "Off Waves" is negated and destroyed, because Tabuu can only prevent effects from affecting himself.

- Player 1 enters his Battle Phase. Tabuu's ATK is now 4000. He attacks DAD with Tabuu. Unlike last time, he removes 6 HP counters from Tabuu (17 left) to lower DAD's ATK to 0. DAD is destroyed and Player 2 takes 4000 damage.

When this card attacks, you can lower this card's DEF by any amount to lower the ATK or DEF of the attack target by the same amount. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If you would take Battle Damage from a battle involving this card, lower this card's DEF by the amount of Battle Damage you would have taken, then lower the Battle Damage to 0. When this card's DEF becomes 0, destroy this card.

Counters as in HP measurement? Like this?
