OOC Thread here! Post apps there!

IC:

Lord Elnar simply tapped his fingers on the table. It didn't help that they were regrouping and planning an assault on his castle, information he was able to worm out a helpless human child before he ended the child's life. They were all primitive monkeys waiting to be exterminated. So irritating. So irritating.

Meanwhile, in the human base/giant camp/or whatever you call it, Alsa was having a conversation with the leader, John.

"So your brother has discovered us?" He asked, worried.

"Not to fear, he may know we will assault sometime, but he doesn't know how, when, and where. It's like trying to anticipate your own death right down to the second and you don't even know what kind of sickness you have, let alone the capabilities of the sickness."

"You are awfully smart for a child, Alsa."

"My education, sire."

"And don't call me 'sire', just call me 'John'."

"Right."

And then Alsa left the tent. John simply watched. "But if you know that you will die someday, then you would prepare for it and wait." He muttered.

"The sun sets dreadfully slow."

Salac sighed as he Urged the horse he was riding on. The ride was slow. He had a quarter of the way to go before he reached his destination, which was about a weeks riding. After half an hour riding in the slowly setting sun, he finally arrived at a village, just as the sun disappeared over the horizon. "Twilight, the most beautiful, and somber moment of the day, a time of rememberance and a time of dedication. And the time I was born, if you can call it being born." Salac stated, dropping off his horse. He led the horse to a nearby stable, and asked if the Stable-master would look after the horse. The stable-master agreed, though had a look of disdain across his face, and pocketed the five Gold coins it cost. "Look after him well." Salac said, turning towards the nearby tavern. As he walked in he got many stares, and looked very out of place. He was tall and pale, and looked like he had more than a drop of vampire blood in his veins. Everyone else was bright cheeked and muscular, and none seemed to like the look of Salac. Salac sighed and walked over to the innkeeper. The people inside the in looked away and started murmuring, obviously about him. I'll never fit in anywhere. Salac thought, a tear dripping from his cheek. He didn't notice, and instead asked the innkeeper if he had anyroom spare. The innkeeper nodded and gave Salac a key with a number on it, but never said a word. "Thank you." Salac muttered, walking through a door at the end of the room towards the guest accomadations, and searched for his room.

Vengeance is a meal best served cold...

Vengeance is a meal best served cold...

Passing the leader's tent in the early evening lied a man, about 27, in leather clothing and a metal wrist band on the left hand. He had his head down, feeling shame and hopelessness. It was Johnathan Mason, son of the great swordsman Samuel Mason. He stopped. He turned to the leader's tent. He knew he might need to talk to him, but now's not the time.

Meanwhile, Makuta looked at the box in front of him. What is it, you might ask? He opened it to reveal two stones, glowing ominously. One blue; one green. The blue stone allowed the ability of water magic. The green allowed wind magic. He then brought out another box, bigger than the other. It only had two stones. One red; one black. They didn't glow, showing that Makuta has not yet obtained said abilities. The red was for fire. The black was for darkness; however, he does not know the ways of obtaining them, so he watches them in annoyance. He closed both boxes and put them away.

Death. Vengeance. Only one can be forgiven of...

Fools. All of them, fools.

Maria grit her teeth as she hurried through the halls of the castle. This castle held some of the worst vampires to ever walk the land. All of them bigots, indulging in the slaughter of the weaker human race. "Lord" Elnar was the worst of them, waging war just because humans are not vampires. It was sickening.

The reason she was even here was to meet a friend and collect some acid pellets for her siege weapon. No one would have expected her to have designed the Grand Acid Cannon, and indeed, she did have help. Her mentor, a rather eccentric vampire named Orlan, developed much of the mechanisms it employed. He was brilliant, although he spouts nonsense half the time. He also doesn't like the war, making him one of the few vampires that isn't a total moron in Maria's eyes.

She used to not judge everyone this way, but after Elnar reopened old scars amongst the humans and attacked them, most of the other vampires took after his lead. With someone like that at the helm, Maria couldn't help but see the end of her race, since someone like that would not stop at just massacring humans. Most of the few people she expressed her opinions to were too shortsighted, thinking that the fighting would end after humans were subjugated.

It wasn't like she could defect to the humans, either. She could not risk being labeled a traitor; not for herself, but for her family. True, most of them were shortsighted vampires like the rest, believing their war to be just. She still loved them, though.

...And thus, this leaves her with the only option she has; fight in the war until Elnar or the humans are killed. Among the familiar faces in the hallways she spotted young vampires, being shuffled along in order to start their combat training. Maria shook her head and continued on... for today she was assigned to fight in the field.

They may attack at any given time.....

Lord Elnar had to prepare for this so-called assault before it happens. But he didn't know when or how it would happen, let alone where. So in accordance to this, he had to prepare. He had harshly increased the combat training to the young vampires, because strength and speed was everything to them. They possessed no magic, but their superior strength and speed could easily overpower it. Only those of royal blood possessed magic. They were different from the normal monkey magic, and they set themselves superior to the lower vampires.

He stood up and exited his throne room. He himself had to prepare. He walked through the castle, not noticing the trembling and/or excited vampires around him when they saw him. He noticed not all of them had a positive attitude to him, but he wouldn't punish them. He couldn't risk losing any soldiers, so long as they don't ally themselves with the monkeys, like his pathetic younger brother. He had covered his brother's defection to the monkeys because that would have made many more vampires follow in his footsteps. Prince Alsa's location remained secret to the public, and Elnar made up the story that he was simply 'going out so as to learn the surroundings around him, and that this was part of royal education'. But it wasn't, not in the least.

He entered a closet door, one nobody would think to look in. There were no clothes, only a dark rock tunnel. But vampires also had heightened senses in the dark. One of his scientists had theorized some sort of 'Evolution' theory where they evolved from bats. What nonsense, everything was created by the Gods of above, as said in the Book. Evolution was just a bunch of nonsense. Either way, the tunnel kept going deeper and deeper until Lord Elnar spotted candles that lit the rest of the way. The fire on these candles will never disappear as long as there is no direct interference with it. He then walked on.

Salac stifled a scream as he woke, only an hour after he fell to sleep. The nightmares of his 'birth' haunted him like a ghost, as as he stood up and looked at the mirror, he was glad that his strange metabolism kept him from illness and such types of problems, such as wrinkles and bags. He sighed as he looked out of the window at the starry sky, wishing he was among them, free from his problems on earth. He walked to his door and decided to get a move on, knowing he wouldn't get to sleep again. He walked to the door and walked slowly down the stairs, still strapping the last of his weapons(a large sword) to his side. When he walked back into the tavern, the admosphere had grown even more intense, and Salac could tell something was wrong. Before a normal human would be able to react, he was attacked by ten people, each holding a short sword. He unsheathed his blade with inhumane speed and attacked rapidly, in a whirlwind of movement. The problem was, every time he knocked one unconcious, another took his place. After about twenty minutes, all the occupants of the tavern were unconcious on the floor, and the door was shutting after Salac fled. He ran straight for the stables and grabbed his horse, jumping gracefully into the saddle and galloping off. "That was too close." Salac exclaimed, slowing the horse to a trot. He sighed and looked up at the cloudless skies. "This is why I want to join you." He murmered. One of the stars winked as if in acknowledgement, but Salac knew better.

There was a large and open field along the border between the lands controlled by Vampires, and those controlled by Humans. It was through this field that a very large figure was now moving. The figure was clad almost entirely in blue cloth, wearing a tunic and pants of that material. His arms were bare down to where he wore leather gloves of the same blue color on his hands. These were buckled near their open end and as such were tightly held to his arms. He wore boots made of the same material and also buckled near their open ends. He wore a rather strange sort of polished steel breastplate, the strange thing being that it had circular horizontal shoulder guards built into it. His hair was a dark brown color, appearing black in the night and the same could be said of his eyes. Upon his back he carried a massive steel War Hammer, from which a light brown glow was emanating. This was the former Human soldier known as Rayge. At this point, he was simply moving to the shelter of a forest near the edge of the field. There was a potential problem with this plan, though, the forest was in Vampire territory. Regardless, the massive human calmly made his way therein. It took him a while, but he managed to find an old hollow tree large enough for him to fit in. He calmly removed the War Hammer from his back and made his way into the tree, laying back within it. He kept himself facing the opening, in case any threat came. While he had no intention of fighting anything, it would be nice to know if something or someone that wanted to kill him was approaching. He set his War Hammer down against the inside of the tree in a position that he could quickly take it up if necessary. Now, properly prepared and relaxed, Rayge closed his eyes and was almost immediately asleep. Perhaps a certain Vampire named Michico would be close enough to his location to hear the quiet snoring coming from the tree.

"Lord Fear, we're almost there aren't we?"

Fear looked around from under his mask at the soilder who had asked him. This was his own private squad of elite human forces that he himself trained. Fifty men, no more, no less, all as deadly as himself... well, almost.

Fear nodded at the soilder and turned on his horse to look a head once more. The journey had taken them eight days but they were almost back to the leader of the human faction John. Fear was very eager to meet with the leader of hte human faction once agian. The last mission he had been sent on was... almost too easy, at least in Fear's eyes. Hopefully the with the upcoming attack on the vampire army Fear would get some entertainment.

"We'll be there by morning," Fear told the soilders behind him that could hear him.

Michico was walking around. She looked around, and she did see a forest."Hmm,a forest.....whatever,there probably will be someone or something in there."She thought. She walked into the forest."Ah damn,it is becoming night already....oh wait,im a vampire,so it doesnt matter for me."she thought, while walking around in the forest.Suddenly, she heard someone snoring.it wasnt hard, but she still could hear it."Damn it!lets grab my weapons!"she quickly thought, while grabbing her weapons. In 1 hand she had her katana, while holding her desert eagle in her other hand. She walked to the source of the noise. She did see somebody sitting in a hollow tree."What do you think you are doing?"She said, holding her gun at the guy in the tree."Why do you think it is save to sleep in a damn forest, and why do you sleep in a tree?"She said. She looked closer.she suddenly did see the warhammer."ARE YOU COMING HERE TO KILL ME?"She said in anger, while pointing her gun at his head, ready to shoot.

Salac looked at the distance, at a giant range of mountains in the distance. They only looked like a small blur, browny black strip of bumps with a small white blur on top of them. Most would say it was hills, with a huge cloud gathered above them. Salac knew better. He had been close to them, and they were bigger than normal mountains. He turned back to face the road, just in time. He only just managed to stop his horse in time, for if he hadn't he would have collided with a albeit small, but deadly looking group of military men. As Salac reared up, his horse whinied loudly, causes many members of the group to turn around in shock. All looked like hardy men, many wore solemn expressions, while others, obviously newwer to the group, had excited, almost blood thirsty faces, giddy for battle. Salac stopped, and gulped as one of the Soldiers murmured to the obvious leader, and that man turned to face Salac. This man seemed worse than the rest, and though he wore a less experienced expression, his demeanor, his scars and the aura and authority that emanated from him told his experienced. Salac guessed that this man had been in more battles than his years should allow.

Fear looked at the man on his horse who had startled some of his men with annoyance. His soilders had been quiet and aware before, now they were unresting and curious about who this person was.

"Be still!" Fear shouted at his soilders. Almost instantly they were, each one facing hte front of hte line, even if their eyes flicked to the new person on his horse. Fear directed his horse over to where the man now stood.

"You've startled my troops," Fear said in a low voice. "And now I'd like to know why. Was it an accident or are you planning something?" Fear reached up, took of his mask and threw his hair out of his face to reveal a very handsome face underneath.

"I'm sorry, sir. I was mearly passing by, travelling to offer my services to the human army against the vampires, and was daydreaming when I noticed your troops, and only just managed to stop my horse from colliding with your rear troops." Salac apologized, bowing as best he could horseback. "I could accompany your troop. I am skilled with a range of weaponry, and will prove myself not to be a hinderance." Salac offered, touching the hilt of his blade. He was tempted to show he was also profficent in magic, but was unsure what effect that would have, so kept that power to himself.

With a quiet groan, Rayge opened his eyes and looked at the Vampiric woman in front of him. He let out a quiet sigh, before sitting up from his somewhat laying position. Despite the fact that she had a gun aimed at his head, he didn't seem worried. He simply looked past the gun, straight into the woman's eyes. His own eyes showed no fear, and he had quite a peaceful expression on his face.

"To answer ALL of your questions: one, I think I'm trying to sleep in an old, hollow tree; two, I think it's safer to sleep in a forest than out on an open field where I can be easily seen and I sleep in this tree because it offers some shelter; and three, I stopped having a direct intent to kill your kind a long time ago, Madame."

After having finished his speed, Rayge placed his right hand on the haft of his War Hammer. He then used this to help him stand up and climb out of the hollow tree. Once he was out and fully standing, he essentially towered over her by at least a full foot. Also, his skin had changed color from the healthy light tan it had been to a color much closer to that of Granite. He smiled widely at the woman before him, spinning his War Hammer in his right hand so as to flip it right-side-up. He then let the end of the haft fall to the ground as he rested his hand atop the Hammer.

"If you would allow me to introduce myself, my name is Rayge. What might yours be, Madame?"
Just letting everyone know, feel free to let your characters have some knowledge of Rayge. I mean, what with his pretty substantial magic power and his years of military service, people might have learned of him.

Fear glared slightly at this new man. He reached down and gripped his spear. He brought it up and pointed the long blade at the man's throat just below the wind pipe.

"Coincidently I too am headed for the center of the human army, So you may ride along in the back. If you're as good as you say you are with long range weapons then you can be our first line of defence against any enemies coming up from behind."

Fear swipe his blade away from the man's throat and turned his harse back towards the front. But before he went anywhere he said, "I don't know if you're lying or not, I don't know if you knwo who I am. All I know is that if you're some kind of spy, you need to work on concealing yourself better." Fear reach up and put his mask back on then turned towards the man he had added to his ranks. "I saw yoiu reach for your blade and I warn you now, any mutany or atempts at mutany are punishable by death and only death. If You understand me..." Fear gently kicked his horse in the sides and raised his spear again.

"We ride! Hurry! We've lost precious time!"

He made his horse go into a trot a head of his troops and his new comer. They followed after him as soon ashe was past, not a single man spoke.

Returning to his quarters to rest, Johnathan felt uneasy. The pains of his father's death. The flashbacks wouldn't stop. Like his feeling of regret is slowly killing him on the inside, but it was hurting his head the most. As he tried to sleep, he kept hearing his father calling to him, while seeing visions of his father's death over and over again, saying, Why weren't you there? Why didn't you try to save me? Why, son, why? He then began to hear a trio of ghostly voices. Your fault! it repeated as Johnathan kept saying, "No, no!" He eventually woke up in fear screaming, "NO!!!" He breathed heavily. He might of startled others who tried to sleep and laid back down, closing his eyes, and this time, he fell asleep.

Meanwhile, earlier in the evening, Makuta opened the door of his room to see Lord Von Elnar walking into a closet door. Although, he didn't want to risk being caught, he walked up to the door. It was clear that only Lord Von Elnar would enter such a room, but Makuta couldn't take any chances as to finding the Blood Cave of Legends. He then slowly opened the door, revealing an inner cave. He slowly walked in, closing the door behind him. He then began to walk into the dark cave, having less of a chance to know where this cave led to. Even though he couldn't see, he just kept going straight. That is, until he saw candles nearby, lighting the way for him, but also hearing Lord Von Elnar's footsteps. He stopped. He didn't want to get caught. Not now. When he didn't hear them anymore, he sighed quietly and continued on.

Rayge sighed quietly at Michico's question about a him owning a home. A sad expression came to his face as he looked down at her.

"You don't know about the war, do you? Well, your people's current lord declared war on the Humans. I fought in this war, but realized there isn't any point to it. Also, if you know of any safer places I would be happy to come along."

The granite coloration of Rayge's skin remained. If Michico were to perhaps carelessly touch him, she would find that his flesh, though warm, in fact seemed to have become stone. The large man shifted his weight slightly, seeming to rest against the War Hammer he carried. The subtle brown glow continued to emanate from it, creating a small circle of pale light immediately around it. Rayge's expression soon returned to it's normal, peaceful set and he simply waited to see what Michico would say and do next.

"This tunnel took an entire year to create, many lives were lost in cave-in's." Elnar said to himself, where his voice echoed through the tunnel. It took at least eight hours to get to the bottom and he descended on. Soon after, the tunnel went into a straight old dirty hallway which looked like an old high school's hallway."We dug and dug, hoping to find out a secret deeper than all of Lath, but all we found was this." He stared at the door in front of him. It was only a wooden door that didn't fit with the dirty, old, and abandoned marble. He opened the wooden door and went inside.

The room was to represent something. It was an enormous room, even bigger than his entire castle. In the very center was just one old stone tablet......which was floating on it's own. He walked up to it, only to stop half-way. He then carefully began walking in a perfect circle around the floating stone tablet three times. After the third time, he walked up to the mirror. "Anyone who didn't do that would die under the elven curse. I had three hundred vampires die just to get the correct way to get here. Going over was useless, going under was risky. But I could easily cover up every one of their deaths."

He touched the stone tablet and spun it until it faced him. "The last record of the Lost Ones, the pointy-eared folk, who disappeared many millennium ago. This stone tablet would eternally float until the end of eternity. The Lost Ones' magic is the strongest of all. Harnessing the power of this artifact must make me stronger than any other, surely. I cannot risk another vampire getting ultimate magic. I have to try it myself. With elven magic...." He simply stared at the tablet and spun it around for a while, wondering what it could actually do. The tablet was written in the human alphabet so he had no idea how to read the strange shaped runes.

"What war?"She asked to Rayge.Michico started to laugh."Why would anybody fight in the war?Seriously, humans and vampires are almost the same...."She said laughing."What a second,do they actually got an army?"She said, but now she was serious."Damn, that isn't good...what kind of psycho would ever start such a war?"She said to Rayge.Michico started to think."How about...the place i did grow up?Its only 200 meters from here, and well, nobody can get in.There are beds, and stuff like that.I hope you don't mind blood or a body or 2."she said. She did hold her hand to Rayge,to help him up.

Meh... just so I can get my part of the story going, I'm gonna make it dawn where I'm at.

IC:

As dawn broke over the hills and mountains incasing the camp that hid the human resistance leader, Fear and his group of fifty one men, no, fifty men and some picked up cargo, rode into the camp. Fear himself didn't go too far into the camp, his fifty men though spread out and made a paremeter around the camp, each one riding past the next to form a circle. When the man he had picke dup on the road rode up beside him, he moved his arm out in front of him and said, "Stay here for now. Do what you want accept mess with the paremeter and disturb me when I'm talking to the Leader."

With that said, Fear dismounted from his horse and walked over to the tent he though what John's. Being it was just dawn, Fear leaned against one of the posts, closed his eyes, and waited for the good Leader to wake up.

Alsa passed by and noticed someone, with his own troops. They were definitely not a vampire like him, they were definitely human, but they were obviously as of yet not an ally of John, as proven by the fact that none of them had his insignia, something Alsa quickly noticed with his heightened senses. He took out his sword and pointed it at what he took to be the leader. "Stranger, who are you to be here?" He asked in a noble manner. His skin shined sparkly like the vampires in Twilight was unnaturally pale, as was all vampires.

Fear tenses up for one moment then slowly lifted his head to see the a vampire pointing his sword at him. Fear glared at the vampire, swatting his sword away, spun around in teh oposite direction and jabbed his spear to close to the vampire's throat that it was touching his skin.

"I am any and every vampire's worst nightmare. They call me Fear, and with good reason. I come here by request of the Leader, but you tell me," Fear reached out and grabbed the vampire's clothing and pulled himself closer, "What are you doing here all by your lonesome?"

"They might as well call you the Grim Reaper." Alsa said normally, under no fear of the human striking.

"I am prince Alsa von Mira, younger brother of so-known Lord Elnar and as of now the only vampire with the will to join the humans. Elnar has disguised my disappearance most likely because he knew if the public knew of my 'defection' from my kin, then more will follow me. But he's as blind as a bat without it's echolocation system. And if you really want to talk to John, then just go in. He's been awake since last night, planning the best possible route of assaulting my brother's castle with the least, or minimum, casualties. Now take your hands off me, please."

Fear blinked from under his mask. He hadn't expected to run into the rouge prince of vampires here. He released the young prine, removed his spear from his throat and bowned low.

"My apologiese young prine, I was not expecting a vampire here, wether they be with us or not." Fear stood up straight and looked at the tent that held John inside.

"No, I'll wait out here until he's gotten some sleep then. He may be the leader, but everyone needs sleep." Fear turned back to Alsa and bowed once more.

"My apologies again, prince Alsa.
