I must really hate Synchro Monsters.

Recommended Posts

I mean, I wanted to create the ultimate doom to Synchros, and this is what I came up with. I think I'm mad. But then again, sanity is overrated.

Card Lore

Majora's Mask + Mezuki + Guardian Angel Joan + Yubel

This card can only be summoned from the Extra Deck by Fusion Summon. This card can only be Fusion Summoned by sending the Fusion Material monsters from the Field to the Graveyard. (This is treated as a Fusion Summon.) This card can only be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Material monsters. If there is a Synchro Monster on the Field when this card is summoned, negate it's effect(s) and destroy it. If a Synchro Monster is summoned while this card is face-up on the Field, negate it's effect, and halve it's ATK. If this card battles a Synchro Monster, you can draw 1 card for every 1000 ATK the Synchro Monster has.

The card has such strict summoning conditions, you would need a pretty dedicated deck, and even then, you would likely have some trouble getting this card out. Here is Majora's Mask as well.

Card Lore

This card can only be summoned by the Ritual Spell card "Release of the Evil Spirit from the Mask". When this card is Ritual Summoned you can Special Summon 4 "Mask Tokens" (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 2/ATK 500/DEF 1000) in face-up Defense position. While you control a face-up "Mask Token", neither player can Summon Synchro monsters. If this card would be destroyed by a Spell or Trap Card effect, you can destroy 1 "Mask Token" you control or remove from play the top card of your Deck to negate the effect and destroy the card.

It's a basically a not-as-awesome version of the above card. It's still effective though.

I didn't put them in Pop Culture for a reason, they are meant to be Realistic, and I feel as if I have made them so.

be sure that tokens cannot be used for anything tribute or synchro summon

That doesn't make much sense. The Tokens only serve as meat shields once Majora's Mask leaves the Field. Besides' date=' read this.

While you control a face-up "Mask Token", neither player can Summon Synchro monsters.

That means you can't either. This was made to run without yourself using Synchro monsters. That's why it is so anti-Synchro.

Very Nice, makes for an effective shutdown to Synchro decks.

- Balance: Unless you base an entire deck on summoning this guy, he's not coming out. Yubel and Guardian Angel Joan will be hard enough to get out and keep out, since they're both high-level monsters but it seems worth the effort to me even if you just plan to use him as a beatdown.

- Good OCG, although summoned is capitalized in the "can only be summoned" part

- Images: Majora's Mask image is the best one I've seen, and the final form image is fitting for a fusion of 4 monsters.

Well that's my take on it. Very good

9.88 / 10

These are some of my better cards, that's for sure. Thank you very much.

Can't say they are overpowered because the first one is Crazy Hard to take out and the first one is Good but it is still not Indestructible. But at the same time an awesome Anti-Synchro Generator. So because of the Balance of the cards and the Cool Pictures' date=' i would have to give them 10/10.

Thank you yet again.

I'm glad to see that people like these cards.

Doesn't it defeat the point of being anti-synchro?

By the time you get this out you'll have lost to synchros.

You have to have a dedicated deck, but you'll also need time to stall. THat's what I detest about the game now, it is all focused on speed. It's noit so much, if I do this, the next few turns can build up to this. No, now it's "I win". You would need a deck that could stall and get this cards on the field. Majora's Mask would help you a lot once you get it out.

Yet Book of Moon, Compulse, Penguin Solider, Black Horn, Rai-Oh, Oppression, Juju and Grand Mole still do much better against Synchros.

The first card is horribly weak and prone to removal. Any 'dedicated' Deck for it would be inconsistent and a horrid idea. The second, as a self-protecting Level 7 DARK Ritual, is much more viable. The tokens make nice fodder for L&DD or whatever's the tech of the format, I think a rise in Frogs killed L&DD. I don't see much use in it's anti-synchro effect, but I guess it doesn't hurt. Better than a lot around here, and at least somewhat viable.

Eh, I like it when people are honest. Thank you. The first card is a basic attempt, and I haven't fully worked it out yet. It probably will end up much different by the time it's past beta.

The second card is one of my favorites. The anti-Synchro appears in a lot of my cards lately, but I'm trying to stop making so much like that. I don't play the Meta game, I just have an innate hate for Synchro monsters.

I like it when people are honest, so once I am able to give reps, you be getting one. I'll probably completely rework the card once I get back from where I'm going.
