A tip of the hat to your failed attempt at being the moral voice of the deck section' date=' complete with spelling errors. This deck section is to help make people's decks competitive, which is why crappy decks get advice like "buy 3 Machina Mayhem Structure Decks." If we just ignored this thread because we disagree with TC's idea, he would never receive help. You can be competitive as heck and still have a lot of fun. I don't get why people refuse to see that. I've been wanting to build a QuickdrawDandy deck in WC11 BECAUSE it looks like fun. Nobody's talking bad about EltonJ (well, I'm not.) We're disagreeing with him, which is allowed. Ever thought that mixing the best gameplay styles of Spellcasters and Dragons doesn't sound good? Spell Counters/ Secret Village mixed with Hopeless Dragon? Yuck. Not everything can work if you want it to. [b']Heroes don't work with Neo-Spacians for example.[/b] Um yea they do. E-Hero Grand Neos, Magma Neos, and so on. They need Neo-Spacians to summon them. I may not be into Meta, but I do buy recent Boosters and I have seen the horrible things that come from Neo-Spacians and E-Heros. Thanks. IF that crap can work. I am sure Elton can make Spellcasters and Dragons work. And I am no white knight. I am a low-level member who just likes to make the voice of the low level members heard above the dribble that issues forth from the Elites mouths because they can't have a mind of their own. I didn't say you were one of the many who insulted Elton now did I? Make sure I insult or accuse you before getting bent out of shape. This whole thing started because Tronta dared insult a low level member for his passion in making a deck from dragons/spellcasters and then stepped in to insult my friend. Tronta is a worthless worm maggot and needs to learn his place before thinking he is god! Tronta is a worthless worm maggot and needs to learn his place before thinking he is god! let us dissect this lovely rant:-i "dare" to insult whoever i please. this is the internet' date=' who gives a sheet. -i wasn't insulting your passion, i was insulting your idiocy. a fanboy deck of that caliber is silly, and we can't really help it be better. the premise is just a fanboy idea that has no actual grounding in decent cards. as someone else said, there is no reasonable 'bridge' card. -next, reviewing my posts, i've come to the conclusion that you're both a bit delusional. i first told you to stop running a bad idea. then argued buster blader is bad. then helpfully listed reasons why he's bad in the form of this game's easy monster removal. it seems the only thing i said in here that is actually derogatory toward either of you is that you are "bad players". by your own words you don't wish to be competitive, and you seem to enjoy wallowing in the lower levels of the game. so by the standards of competitive players (myself and most people on the forum), you guys [b']are[/b], in fact, bad players. if there was any insult in that statement, it was only perceived because i'm attacking your precious deck idea. hardly something to get personally offended over. and even worse, you're so sensitive about it that you start picking fights when it gets critiqued. the jack witt clause in this forum's rule section dictates that all decks are treated as rate/fix topics, and therefore if a user critiques a deck, he is protected from the TC's idiotic backlash. there is a fine line, of course, between critiquing and insulting, but this is left for the mods to decide. if you seriously have a problem with me, given all that i've said, go contact a mod and see what they say. a lot of the mods are fairly serious players though, who will probably laugh you off. -a worm maggot, first of all, isn't a thing. next, worms and maggots are hardly worthless. in fact they're essential to the natural cycle of life. they break down dead and rotting things and produce nutrients usable for new life. a maggot will probably contribute more to this world in its short life time than you will, to be honest. to argue that one is worthless just because it is small or ugly requires quite the massive ego. i would go as far as to argue that you are the one who seems to think he is god. -learn my place? i'm one of the oldest members on this board. my place is up at the freaking top, passing judgment on new guys. frankly, you need to learn your place before you pick fights with senior members. and as i've clearly demonstrated, you are the one starting this fight; a fight i am clearly protected from by the rules. -and last, I am God. evilfusion Posted July 4, 2010 Report Share Posted July 4, 2010 @eibon: The reason for the "low-level member" remark is because low-level members that give poor advice have 0 credibility, and so their bad advice should be labeled as such, to warn the person who'll drink up the praise, that the praise and advice is worth very little and if they ignore the criticisms in favor of the praise, they will be steered wrong. People who have been here longer learn things such as the current meta, better deckbuilding tricks, and their advice is much more sound. It's not about level, it's about experience. @EltonJ: Now, Dragons and Spellcasters are NOT a synergetic decktype. Dragon decks are far more ATK-power based and Spellcasters...really aren't. Dragons have much more support within their own Type than anything Spellcasters can provide, and vice versa. Fine, I wont state it is impossible. But it is so "improbable" that the effort involved to even TRY to make it work far exceeds the results you can produce. The closest fusion of dragons and Spellcasters would be a Dark Paladin deck, and if you combo Royal Decree, you could produce a lockdown on Spells and Traps if you can keep your hand full. However, the lockdown does not protect you from monster effects or Honest, so the effort is still not good enough. However, Buster Blader has no place IN a Dragon deck, because it only gains ATK from OPPONENT'S Dragons. They Brain Control that and you're in trouble. That and Buster Blader is a slow and mediocre card, albeit with a nice searcher card (Emblem). If you were to run Paladin, I'd recommend Blader for the quick searcher you add, and then to use King of the Swamp or something for Magician. As it is, I'm at a loss of any terrific spellcasters that aren't Spell-Counter oriented. Spellcasters support their own type, and Dragons would only clog it up. Again, vice versa for dragons. With Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon serving as a super-easy Summoning beater that revives and Special Summons more big dragons, there's no reason to clog your deck with Spellcasters. And the reason people are so hard on this kind of deck is because it just isn't good. Yea I get that it's just for fun, but even on that level if you met some one with half an idea as to what to do you will always loss.
