And I cried at that too. I wasn't expecting to.

And I haven't replayed it in a LOOOOOONG TIME.

 

Which could explain why I don't find it sad. Yet.

I love it because of the variety of music it has and fits so well into almost situation. It also falls under my brain patterns as "pleasurable"

I've listened to the entire TTYD soundtrack and I found literally two tracks that I liked. Honestly, it just lacks a large amount of substance; emotional substance, musical substance, everything. Even when I was listening to "Sad Song" or whatever, it sounded like it was conveying a lack of emotion rather than a sad emotion.

It really does not focus too much on the substance, but focuses on entertaining the player which it does successfully.

I dislike especially sad parts in video games. I think that's the main reason I have yet to finish 358/2 Days.

I love how both of the tracks you guys gave me were piano-based. This is why I still support the claim that the piano is the best instrument for conveying sad emotions.

 

For the ToS track, I was really taken aback when the entire orchestra (?) kicked in. It was pretty dramatic for such a sad overtone to start off with. o_O

Well, Revival is a song of mixed emotions. It is happy because the world was restored and the source of all mana was revived. It was an absolute beauty to behold and the orchestra kicked in when you are shown the tree's future form. On the opposite side, it is sad because not only are things changed forever, but the game is at it's end. A game that you played 50+ hours that was the most epic journey on any game at an end. It truly is a beautiful VGM and worthy of the Tales of Symphonia soundtrack. I agree that the Piano is the emotion-evoker in any VGM. Song of Healing, Emotion, Revival, ect. all are filled with emotion that makes you feel.

 

Dark, you got to get Tales of Symphonia at all costs and play through it. It would be a Pastafarian sin if you do not play a game like this game. It not only has some of the best VGMs I have heard, but the combat system is always filled with action that both casual and hardcore gamers get a kick out of and the story is just simply amazing

I just got the Iron Boots as well as my 15th full heart, and 50th Gold Skulltula Token legit. Is that one glitch where you can make the one in the secret hole at Hyrule Castle appear over and over still in the game? I've tested and found the Bottle Glitch isn't around anymore (guess I'm stuck with my Claim Check and 0 Magic Beans), so I'm not sure if they've taken that glitch out, as I got that token normally, only once. Also, Biggoron's Sword. When I get to Dark Link, a couple stabs with that baby and he's going down. I never understood why people used the hammer method, whatever it was.

 

There needs to be a game featuring the Wario Bros. Waluigi has yet to be in a game outside of sports/party/kart, etc. 'Tis not right, I say!

 

Also, Bowser needs his own game completely on his own, no Mario Bros. crawling around inside of him. The 2D platforming from TTYD comes to mind...

 

EDIT: Also, speaking of TTYD, there's something interesting I've found out. The enemy X-Yux, the tattle log actually says it's pronounced "Cross-Yux". Going by that logic, the X-Nauts is actually pronounced "Cross-Nauts", not "Ex-Nauts".
