lololol

;D I suck.

btw, this place is cold. And heartless. Sorry Clair. ;]

Your voice is the new golden voice, I swear to god.

D':

BUT WHY

Thanks Clair.

Started with a cold, that went away.

Followed by leg problems. Very annoying leg problems. Obstacle course plus leg stiffening doesn't equal fun times.

Plus, I think I have a flu or something. Nothing worse then that.

Damn. ><

Hope you feel better soon. ;_;

Myself and Ice were talking (literally) about Team Rocket and how it was such a fun club because all of the "cool" people joined. I was thinking about making a club where you are only allowed to join if a certain amount of people accept you, and it would be the "chill zone" of C&O. It's moreso democratic than dictator-ish because it is not my club, it would be our club. It seems like a decent idea to at least try, and although there would be limits on who can and cannot join, it would be a great place to muster up our funny and intellectual people of YCM and bring us under one roof?

Good idea? Bad idea? If the thought of being accepted turns you off, I'm working on an equation where less than 25% of the members need to accept you. It's going to be a logarithmic function where as the number of people in the club rise, the amount you need to get in rises at a slow pace. Of course, when we only have five members in the club, you'll need three or four to like you before you can join. But, I'm sure we'd get up to fifteen or so members before the first night falls.

I like the idea, but it's just going to end up like any other C/O club.

Members of C/O are going to join, and accept their friends, who in turn will accept th- you get the idea.

Still, if you can make it work, full support from me. ^^

I vote for the Society, btw.

Especially because people who have no reason to not accept members, will vote yes as an act of kindness.

I'm thinking, have the first 5 member votes count, and the only way to be accepted is if 3/5 of those votes are positive.

And even this will be easy to do.

Because like i said, members will not vote negatively unless they have a reason to. Which means only if the member is an absolute moron or has a bad relationship with said member, will the applicant be denied.

All you have to do is place standards, even though it's a douche move. Things starting with post count, grammar, their popularity, and what they're known for. Honestly, it wouldn't be that hard to say no, especially if it's someone who isn't known. If I was in the club, and I was one of the members who decided who joins, I'd say no to someone simply because I don't know who they are, or I'm not willing to accept them because of what they're known for. Then again, I'm an all around dick at times.

Agreed.

I mean, the idea in general is to have a well known club, that is hard to get into.

If the club has over 30 members, it will become a general club.

Then the five votes don't represent the entire club.

I understand your concerns, and to be quite honest, I actually do feel my method was flawed. I never thought that people will say yes out of kindness, mostly because I assumed everyone was like me.

Maybe possibly we have a committee of six or seven people who decide whether someone joins, and the committee will be composed of people who already have high standards?

But I wanted the club to be moreso a democracy than an aristocracy; technically, a democracy of the "aristocrats".

I have time before I open the club, so I can ponder on how this should work.

Hmm... I like the sound of that actually.

The committee can be composed of 7 different people, (all with high standards of course). And by different I mean different interests. For example, if i had joined the Society (name pending) chances are i would not be accepted due to the fact that my popularity lies mainly in the showcase section. If all 7 members were only active in the general section, I would have no chance of acceptance from a dick (dark of course. You labeled your self as one, therefor I can use the term. ;D ) and his 6 lackeys.

Just because you are active in Showcase doesn't mean people on the committee don't know you.

I was only using that as an example. Everyone knows me ;]

And yes they may have heard of me, but that doesn't mean they would still vote positively. They only know that i'm popular in the showcase section, they do not know why this is, or of the things i've done to have become well known.

Personally, I like the committee idea, but you have to make sure the standards are correct.

We can't let certain members be able to sneak in through some bullshit. The committee will be great for that.

Which is why I exist.

Dane, you know outright that if I have even the smallest feeling that there's some bullshit going on I will acknowledge it.
