Headmaster Monokuma
For some reason, I love getting hit by Green Shells or running over Banana Peels after I finish my final lap. It just looks so cool. "YOU GOT FIRST PLACE! OH DAMN, YOU HIT THE BANANA PEEL!" It's a shame that Blue Shells don't appear in Shine Runners or Balloon Battle; that would be seriously interesting, especially since there would then be reprimands for being in first place all the time. =) I'm really GLaD I'm not the only one who likes to do that. It's just cool to watch yourself fall of the course in some manner after winning. My preferred set up in DD was one of the Koopas, then Yoshi, in the Waluigi Kart. I have no clue why, I just liked that.
FTW (For The Wynn)
Unfortunately I have yet to play DD, but in 64 I loved getting hit with anything as well after my final lap.
Dark
Likewise as FTW, I have never fully played DD. I feel, from what I've seen and heard, it was a perfect bridge between the GBA version and the DS version. In fact, I'd consider it the best console Mario Kart ever made, even though I've never played it. MKWii is too item-based and not based enough on skill, which is becoming a progressive problem for Mario Kart games. First it was based too little on luck of the items and too much on skill (or just getting the damn controls down). I feel in terms of balancedness, MKDS has it all. You don't need items to get 1st or 2nd place, but items help. And that is the role of items: you shouldn't rely on them, but you shouldn't always get 1st place without getting lucky sometimes with the items. Eh, I should stop ranting, really. I'm hoping that MK3DS deviates away from the gameplay of MKWii (which it has to, since it is another handheld) and is more similar to MKDS. I personally love thinking of how a goddamn racing game will look in 3D, and especially considering Mario Kart is known for wacky track designs. I mean, seriously. If anyone has ever played Waluigi Pinball on MKDS (has a kick-ass track, too), imagine that in 3D. Sex.
Clair
MK handhelds have always been very good, IMO. Even Super Circuit was sexy. ;D DD is still an amazing game and you should get it, mister dark sir. <

Lonk
Blue Shell is broken and bad for the series IMO. It's like how is it supposed to help the guy in last place get into first place by just hitting the kart in first place?

Clair
Good one, Chill. Also, in reply to your previous message, Blue Shells just exist to keep the first place position in check. ^^
Headmaster Monokuma
I finally got all the shards of the Triforce of Courage! I feel so happy now.... ... That was bad. But not as absolutely terrible as most people make it out to be. It was something... different. Clair, when you steal it from him, I'll be stealing it from you. Lonk
Honestly, I would have preferred 3 long and hard dungeons to get pieces of the Triforce instead of finding maps, then getting them to Tingle who you need to pay a crap load of money to and then find the locations of the 8 shards. Dark
MK handhelds have always been very good, IMO. Even Super Circuit was sexy. ;D DD is still an amazing game and you should get it, mister dark sir. <3 I don't own a GameCube, and getting a DD disc would futher require me to get not only an SD card, but also another GameCube controller. Although I may get it, since I've dearly wanted to play Sunshine and TTYD, both of which I cannot without the two aforementioned items. IT WAS PROBABLY DKTHAT DAMN DIRTY APE You need to LP moar. D:same goes to Dark. I can't really fix that problem at the moment. I really only have a year left to do stuff (since I'm not LPing in college), and I don't know how quickly I can get a capture card and whatnot. Eh, we'll see how it turns out, I guess. Blue Shell is broken and bad for the series IMO. It's like how is it supposed to help the guy in last place get into first place by just hitting the kart in first place? I guess, as Clair said, it keeps the first-place guy in check. Since if the game was entirely based on skill, if you never screw up in first place, you'll always stay in first place. And all video games need somewhat of a luck factor, except for Pong. But you don't get it in last place, you get it in like fifth place (or at least for MKDS). In a team battle, you could get one of your teammates in first while sending the other team back in places. And in a free-for-all, you could easily move up one or two places because the first place guy not only will be closer to you, but will also need to re-accelerate, while you are already accelerating.
