I think this place will be stickied though, not too many clubs applied.

We should probably switch to discussing Mario soon though, since Flame Dragon will be making his inspections.

So how about ideas for new power-ups?

I think they should do a sword power-up that enables him to get cut through stone and defeat previously undefeatable enemies like Thwomps or zombies (they should put zombies in the games, seriously).

I think Dry Bones are good enough. I think we should have some special mushroom that has.........okay I lost it. The Boo Mario and Bee Mario were good already for me, as well as Cloud Mario.

Or maybe another idea, though possibly a broken one, could be a Soul Mario.

Mario inhales a Skull Power-up and turns into a "dark" version of himself that can remove enemy's souls by touching them, like the Invincibility or Rainbow Star. It would have a longer time period, but when the time is up, Mario is left with only one health.

Or if the power-up comes in a 2D platformer sequel or whatever, then it could eat away at the time too.

Personally, I think that there should be a water mushroom. This has mario transform into liquid and he can shoot water balls or keep enough of them as a shield that levitates around him. This can be used in something like a future fire-based world.

Seems more like Kirby knock off, seeing as Link always has his sword, while for Kirby it's a "power up" (copy ability, power up, same thing).

 

Something I thought of is if they had a mushroom that makes him move really fast, like their use in Mario Kart, just a longer period/can turn speed boost on or off.
